Chapter 69: Battle For Chaotic Part 4

Kaz and Chaor walked through the unknown underground of Chaotic with Kaz using the light of his scanner to guide them forward. Likewise, Chaor used his fire powers to create a fireball in the palm of his hand for illumination.

They had no idea where to go and simply wandered around the corridors of the location. Kaz didn't say it, but frankly, they were lost. He knew returning to the surface was a bad idea, but staying underground might be dangerous in the long term for his hero.

His scanner rang and wondered if his friends were calling him. The light from his scanner disappeared as he answered the call. He gulped when he saw Codemaster Imthor's face on it, screens lit up behind him, "H-hey."

"What are you doing in the restricted area?" The Codemaster wasted no second in getting straight to the point.

"You see… We are-," Kaz stammered, trying to come up with an explanation.

"We are searching for the gate that leads to the Cothica," Chaor grunted in response as he glanced at Kaz's scanner, "We are going there to protect it from the M'arrillians. I don't think you can hold on up there forever."

"Maybe, but you still didn't explain how you ended up in this restricted area," Imthor said coolly, deciding to press the matter later.

"We fell from the air and ended up here," Kaz explained.

The head of the Codemaster face turned to the side as if checking something, "I see. Chaor saved you from Aval'par when he caught you, and you fell through a door. You were lucky it was a door or it would have been a deadly fall," Codemaster Imthor told Chaor.

The creature simply grunted in response.

"That's what happened," Kaz confirmed nervously.

Imthor sighed as he thought about what Chaor had said. He put his hand on his forehead as if in deep thought, "I am going to escort you outside."

"We are going to the portal!" Chaor growled as he pressed forward.

Kaz followed him and glanced nervously at his scanner's screen, "It's too risky to head back to the surface."

"And we had a deal. We will find that place later anyway," the Underworlder reminded the Codemaster.

Kaz wondered what was going on. Something was happening on the screens behind the Codemaster and he didn't know what it was. Shaking his head, he asked himself what was going on, but pushed that aside as the conversation went on.

Imthor cursed himself and let out a loud sigh. Behind him they heard Crellan speak, "It's better to bring them there than letting them wander around like that. They might find your collection."

The face of the Codemaster didn't change, but both Kaz and Chaor heard a loud gulp. Now, the two were wondering what he might be hiding, "F-fine! They could find your own secret stuff too though, Crellan." Imthor focused back on them, "I will guide you to the portal. As you said Chaor, you would have found it anyway."

"Good," Chaor replied smugly.

"Just follow my instructions from now on. Crellan will make sure your friends aren't caught up in the battlefield. He will escort them underground and they will join you."

"They're what?!" Kaz asked, both confused and worried for his friends.

"Your mother wants to be with you. With everything going on, being separated from you haunts her mind," Imthor replied.

"Of course, she would," Kaz sighed

That was definitely what his mother would do.

After a few more words, the two began to press forward, following the instructions of the Codemaster.

The seven Chaotic Players continued running in Aval'par's direction. They knew they had little time before the M'arrillians showed up.

As they ran Cassandra told the other's about Kaz's promise to Chaor, "Kaz is going to keep his promise to Chaor."

"S-seriously?" Tom asked, disbelievingly.

"D-damn. The situation is that bad if he had to do what Chaor wants him to do," Sarah growled.

"The M'arrillians are serious about this too bro," Peyton commented.

Reggie and Lulu didn't understand what they were saying. Curiosity piqued, Reggie asked, "What is going on? What is that promise Kaz made to Chaor?"

"Yeah. I don't understand what's going on and it seems to be bigger than just attacking Chaoric," Lulu told them.

"My son made the promise to help Chaor find the portal leading to Earth," Cassandra replied.

Alexandre added, "And he told Cassandra about it and she told us. There is a real portal that could bring the creatures to Earth. Believe it. It's real. Can't explain more than that."

Tom replied, "And the M'arrillians want to find that and-," he stopped when his scanner rang again. He opened it and saw that it was Codemaster Crellan, "Codemaster Crellan. What's going on?"

"Tom. Kaz and Chaor are going to the forbidden chamber where the portal is, as you guessed. Staying on the surface is too dangerous. I'll guide you to them," Codemaster Crellan replied.

"Thanks. His mother is really worried," Tom said, feeling relieved.

"Turn to the left. You will find hidden stairs leading to the underground of Chaotic. You will be out of sight and you will be safe," Codemaster Crellan told them.

Tom turned to the left, and the others, who had heard the message, followed him. It wasn't long before they saw something opening up in the ground ahead. The passage was revealing itself.

Tom saw it and wondered if it was the right one, "Is this the passage?"

"Yes. Do not hesitate to enter. I will guide you through it. We won't give you light or those on the surface might be able to follow the light. I will tell you where to go to find your friend. Just use one or two scans," Codemaster Crellan explained.

The seven gazed at each other. They began walking down the stairs. Reggie's wheelchair adjusted so he could follow them into the passage.

The door closed behind them and darkness took over the place. The seven took out their scanners to provide light and headed forward.

The group looked around the corridor, seeing the secret underground of Chaotic, something they never knew existed.

"I can't believe there is something like this underneath us. Is there an army hiding somewhere too?" Reggie remarked as he looked around.

Tom, Sarah, Peyton and Alexandre recognized a little more of the pattern. They saw more of the structures they normally found in Perim.

"It must have been made by creatures…probably a really long time ago," Tom ventured.

They couldn't think of any other explanation. With that in mind it was strange to think that no creatures had ever been here. Not only that, but that they knew nothing about this.

Meanwhile, in front of Imthor Drome, the battle between the alliance and the M'arrillians continued. The creatures were handling the battle the best they could, but they were slowly getting overwhelmed. They knew the tide was turning once again and that they might have to retreat again. It didn't help that Chaor had suddenly left the second he heard that Kaz was in danger.

With his absence Takinom was now in command of the Underworlders. She was handling everything well and continuing the assault, but they had still lost one warrior in the field though, and it was costing them.

Theb-Saar watched the battle and jumped back.

"Not you too!" Odu-Bathax shouted furiously.

The Mipedian King smiled as he raised his fingers, "I want to turn the tide of this battle." He smirked as he suddenly snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, something appeared and let out a roar. The M'arrillians panicked as they saw a giant monster materialize behind the alliance. It was a dragon with a large set of Telebracers fitted on it.

"W-what is that?" Maxxor yelled.

The creatures gazed at the other Mipedians, but they were just as confused as them.

"It was to be a surprise if any of the other tribes were to attack us, but I have to reveal it here and now," Theb-Saar replied as the dragon breathed fire at the M'arrillians.

The enemies quickly panicked as the giant dragon went on the offensive and retreated from Imthor Drome as they escaped the fire coming at them.

Theb-Saar snapped his fingers twice and the dragon turned invisible.

"What is that?" Imthor demanded loudly through the mic.

Theb-Saar smirked as he caught the gaze of the many creatures, "This is my dragon mount. I brought him here and he was invisible until now. I let him wait near the Drome for a while." He chuckled, "I'm still surprised he wasn't noticed by the players."

"This wasn't part of the plan!" Hotekk shouted at them.

"It was to protect Chaotic. Still, I don't think it will work for long. Milla'iin knows about him now and they will come back and surround us."

They watched the many corpses lying on the ground, "Still, we did a lot of damage."

Theb-Saar observed the battle and gazed at Mudeenu.

"You brought him here and revealed to everyone about the dragons?" He asked, surprised. The prince would have preferred to be aware of such a move. Instead, he had ended up looking like a fool like everyone else in the alliance.

"No one expected it. Anyway, Mudeenu, you have to lead the assault here. I have to find where Chaor went and secure Peyton. The M'arrillians are after them. Crellan, where are they?"

A robot came near him and quietly said, "They are safe right now. I won't tell you where."

"And Chaor?"

He heard a long sighed, "Fine. Chaor went to save Kazdan. He has been caught by a M'arrillian, but he has been saved. Him and Chaor are out of their sight."

Maxxor joined him, "And I want to know where Tom is."

Odu-Bathax added, "And Sarah."

Mudeenu knew they were the M'arrillian's targets, "I'll lead the Mipedians when you are done here." With that, he charged at the enemy, who weren't keen on attacking them for now.

The alliance didn't let the enemy recover from the dragon's surprise attack. They wanted to get at the M'arrillians with everything they had. The assault was merciless and relentless.

One of the M'arrillians ordered everyone to retreat and they backed down, running away from their enemies.

The alliance went on the offensive.

The Codemasters quickly began talking with the tribal leaders.

As they did so, Imthor was in deep thought. He wondered what would be for the best. He didn't know what to do and how much trouble they would be. He was ready to face the consequences, but he didn't know what was the best course of action to take. He put his fingers on his jaw and thought about it. He might regret it, but it was pointless to remind them that the humans were code. In the middle of the action, they had already forgotten that fact.

"Fine. We will guide them to the others. We'll make sure they join together." Imthor turned towards Crellan, "Can you also guide them at the same time?"

"Yes. I don't have anything to do on Earth. I'll leave that to you," Crellan replied as he focused his entire attention on Perim.

The others continued to focus on the battle going on while Imthor spoke with the leaders, "Careful. The creatures in the Drome are about to escape from it." He saw the two rulers and Odu-Bathax running in another direction.

Turning he saw Prince Mudeenu taking command, ordering the others to move to another location.

The other leaders' second in command took charge and led their people towards the third battlefield, preparing for the M'arrillians.

"I wonder where that dragon is now," Hotekk grumbled as he watched the enemies break the wall of the Battle Drome and escape. "They wrecked the drome and I don't have the budget to fix it."

"I don't care about that mess. We have to end this battle soon. Because after the third location, the M'arrillians will be able to go anywhere except for the Beta Drome," Imthor said tersely.

Crellan added, "We already prepared a temporary location for them to port out of. Twenty can port out at the same time and they've already begun. It should take half an hour." He then focused on the two groups he had to escort now. There were a lot of things that hadn't gone according to plan.

The biggest one was that the creatures and humans would soon see their last resort; the portal leading to Earth. It was an immense risk to let them so close, but they had to take it.

AC: This is the end of this chapter. I hope you enjoyed it.

Next Chapter is another part.

Chaor and Kaz have a small bonding experience before they reach the portal and cross paths with the other humans. Soon, Theb-Saar, Maxxor and Odu-Bathax come and saw the portal. In the Deep Ocean, Gal'drad realised the M'arrillians left to attack Chaotic and prepares to help.
