Castle carries her limp frame to the break room and places her on the couch. Softly smoothing his hand over her hair.
"Kate," he keens. He should never have resorted to treating her this way. He still loves her. Always will.
He's kneeling perpendicular to her body, left hand cradling hers. His other at the crown of her head, thumb drawing circles on her forehead.
Suddenly she opens her eyes, the orbs glistening as she looks deeply into his own.
She slowly reaches her free hand up to cup his cheek. She won't let him go;
"Please don't leave me."
