I am called Nakumo, and I have served the Shredder for most of my life. I have been his most loyal soldier, his second in command, his most trusted confidant. But lately, I have failed him. Too many things have failed on my watch, my greatest transgression being the loss of his daughter, Karai. But tonight, my master has given me one last chance to redeem myself. Should I fail in this mission, then my life is forfeit. But should I succeed, I shall be restored to my rightful place at his side.

It was a rare night where Karai was out on her own. As much as she loved her new family, they could be rather loud and obnoxious, a far cry from the disciplined dojos she was used to. Thus, she'd slipped out for a solo training run, enjoying the night air and the solitude. She perched on a water tower, taking a deep breath before letting it out.

"I see why the guys enjoy midnight runs up here. Everything is so-"

There was a small explosion off in the distance, one that made Karai's eyes narrow.

"-peaceful..."

Karai didn't waste a beat, heading off to the source of the explosion. Once she got there, she looked around for any sign of the source of the blast, or anyone that might be hurt nearby. She eventually reached a warehouse, where she could see smoke billowing out of the windows. She slipped inside, looking around for anyone who was around. At first, there seemed to be no one there, with Karai not finding a single soul inside.

"What the..."

Just then, the windows and doors all sealed up, prompting Karai to draw her weapon. As she circled around, several armed soldiers stepped out, each one keeping their weapon aimed at her.

"A trap? Seriously? You boys just made a serious mistake."

The soldiers then opened fire on her, prompting her to dart out of the way. She quickly sliced through one soldier's gun before kidding him aside. She then leapt onto a wall and sprung off it, sailing through the air as she fired several shurikens. They knocked the guns out of the soldiers hands, alling Karai to run up to them and kick one in the chest. She then elbowed the second one in the stomach, causing him to kneel over so she could bring her elbow down on his head, knocking him out. She then spun around and lunged the hilt of the sword into the gut of the third soldier, causing him to stumble back before she leapt up and kicked him in the head, knocking him out.

Once the soldiers were down, Karai spun her blade in triumph, giving the fallen soldiers a smirk.

"Nice try, but next time you wanna trap someone, bring a lot more men."

"Actually," a new voice spoke up, getting her attention.

She turned around to see Agent Bishop stepping out from the shadows, his hands behind his back and a smug grin on his face.

"That was just to get your attention. This is the trap."

He then brought his hand out from behind his back, revealing a small device, and tossed it at her feet. The device then expanded into a small ring that circled around her. The ring then split in two, the top half rausing up above her and forming an energy barrier. She took a swipe at it with her blade, but it only resulted in her tanto being cut in two.

"I'd be careful," he cautioned. "This is a Triceraton energy barrier. It's laser focused field can cut through anything. It makes your tanto blade look like a butter knife."

He picked up the blade and tossed it into the field, resulting in it being sliced to pieces. Karai watches, wincing as her weapon was destroyed.

"Alright, you caught me. Now what?"

"Now, I'm going to make a call."

Bishop then went over to a nearby computer terminal, pressing a few buttons. A video call began, opening in Oroku Saki's private office. The second the call connected, Karai gasped, covering her mouth in horror. The noise drew Saki's attention, the man turning to the screen angrily.

"What is this?" he demanded. "This is a secure channel!"

"You probably don't remember me, Mr. Saki, but we met during the Triceraton Invasion. My name is Agent Bishop."

"I think I would remember meeting someone as brazen as you..."

"Let's skip the pretense, shall we Saki?" Bishop remarked. "Or should I call you… Shredder."

Saki paused, gritting his teeth.

"If you know who I am, then you know what I do to those who cross me!"

"Perhaps, but I think you'd better take a look at my… guest before making such bold decisions."

Saki looked over and saw Karai, causing his eyes to go wide.

"Karai…"

"Now, I know you two have been having… family issues, shall we say? But I know you still care for her. And you'll do anything to get her back."

"What do you want?" Saki's voice was low, a growl bubbling up in the back of his throat.

"I want you to deliver all of the alien tech you've been hoarding from your 'repair efforts'," Bishop answered, performing air quotes at the end. "You have one hour to drop off your entire stockpile at EPF headquarters, or your adopted daughter is going to be turned into a neatly sliced and diced pile of julian fries. And as much as you hate seeing her with the turtles, you and I both know that seeing her dead is the worst option for you."

While it wasn't visible on screen, Saki's fist tightened.

"Know this, Agent Bishop… you have made a powerful enemy this day. And I ensure that all my enemies are destroyed."

"If you say so," Bishop remarked, looking at his watch. "Fifty nine minutes."

In his office, the call came to an end as Saki was shaking with rage. At his breaking point, Saki grabbed hold of the desk and flipped it over in rage, causing it to crash onto the ground. In blind anger, he ripped the holographic disguise off his face, throwing it aside before heading for the secret elevator.

Down in the lowest levels of the building, Stockman was tethered to an electrical harness, shoveling coal into a massive furnace. Not far off, Nakumo was forced into a rather painful position. He was balancing on a rough, wooden block with his non-dominant hand, his other extended out straight while attached to a large weight. His legs were also attached to similar weights, which he had to keep straight in the air. He was shaking hard, drenched in sweat, but he refused to budge from his position.

"Look at you," Stockman spat, stopping his work to stare at the man. "How long has it been since you've been forced into that position? Hours? A day? And yet you continue to obediently maintain that pathetic position like the beaten prisoner you are."

"Silence, Stockman," Nakumo demanded, trying to sound stronger than he really was after so long in the same position. "Your prattling is disrupting my concentration.

"You really are pathetic, aren't you. At least Hun had the sense to carve a name for himself during the gang war, but you? Your entire existence is dependent on the Shredder. Without him, you would surely crumble into dust. It's utterly disgusting."

At that moment, a shadow fell over the robotic doctor. His holographic face did a 180 and he gasped, seeing the enraged visage of the Shredder.

"Sir!" Stockman gasped, his body turning to face Shredder. "I- I- I was just… commending Nakumo for his form, as well as… remarking on how… therapeutic the work is. Truly cathartic…"

"Enough!" Shredder cut off. "I will speak with Nakumo."

He then pulled out a remote and pressed a button, causing electricity to surge through his harness and into his metal body. Stockman screamed as the power surged through the suit and into the beaten remains of his human body that it contained.

"R-right," Stockman stammered once he regained control of himself. "I-I'll just get back to work."

He resumed shoveling as Shredder approached Nakumo. His disgraced second in command didn't so much as twitch, but his eyes flickered up to his Master.

"Master..." he whispered, voice strained from exhaustion and pain. "I-"

"Silence," Shredder interrupted. "You have failed me one time too often. More than that, you allowed the turtles to take my daughter away from me! But… you have also been loyal beyond reproach. Because of this, I am offering you one last chance to redeem yourself."

Suddenly, Shredder sliced through the weights, causing them to drop to the ground. Nakumo then instantly flipped onto the ground, slipping into a kneeling position at his master's feet. He clenched his fists to hide his trembling fingers, both from nerves, as well as the pain of finally moving.

"I will not fail, Master. I swear it."

"Karai has been captured by the EPF agent, Bishop. You are to find her, and bring her back to me alive."

"I… understand. I will bring her back."

"I had Kraang Subprime trace the ransom call to Warehouse 51 in Brooklyn. Go there and bring her back. And know that if you fail..." Shredder's blades extended, right under Nakumo's chin, "I will not be as forgiving as last time. Your life now depends on her life."

"Yes… Master."

With that, the two ninjas departed, leaving Stockman alone to contemplate the situation.

"My my, that was intense," he noted. "It would be a shame if something happened to dear Karai and Nakumo failed yet again."

Stockman then brought up a holographic display of the building's security network, hacking into it and disabling his harness. He sighed in relief as he did that.

"I've been wanting to do that for ages. Now, I just need to find the most likely frequency that those turtles' 'Shell Cells' broadcast on, so Nakumo can have a little… competition."

Down in the lair, the turtles were the living room, partaking in various means of relaxation. Mikey was hanging a string above Klunk for him to play with. Raph was playing on the pinball machine, doing his best to beat the high score as Chompy rested on his shoulder. Donnie was tinkering with some sort of new invention, but it was too early to tell what it was. Finally, Leo was attempting to meditate, but was a bit too preoccupied to properly concentrate. Finally, he came out of it, looking around at the room.

"Do you guys know when Karai said she'd be back?" he asked after a minute.

"For the 18th time, Leo, she said she was going out and she'd be back later," Raph declared, slamming the buttons on the sides of the machine hard.

"What's the matter?" Donnie asked. "Getting worried about your girlfriend?"

Leo's face became irritated as Donnie chuckled.

"I see why you guys do that now," Donnie told them. "It's kinda fun."

"Look, I'm just a little concerned is all," Leo insisted, getting to his feet. "Shredder's forces could be out there looking for her."

"Leo, c'mon," Mikey interjected. "This is Karai we're talking about. The same Karai who kicked our shells five ways to Sunday so many times. If anyone can handle themselves out there, it's her."

"He's got a point," Donnie concurred. "Stop worrying, Leo."

"I'm trying, I really am. But… I just can't shake this feeling like something's wrong."

Just then, all their Shell Cell's started ringing at once, causing them to pause what they were doing.

"This better not be Casey figuring out four way calling," Raph remarked. "The last thing we need is him annoying us all at once."

"The number's restricted..." Donnie noted.

A feeling of dread washed over everyone as they each accepted the call.

"This is Nakumo. I am on my way to collect Karai."

"What?!" they all let out.

"I knew something was wrong!" Leo declared.

"Shhh!" Donnie silenced. "Listen."

"I am in transit to Warehouse 51 in Brooklyn, where she is being held by the Earth Protection Force. Once she is recovered, we can move forward with our plans, with the Master's daughter back where she belongs. And this time, not even the turtles can save her."

"Shows what he knows," Raph promised, pounding his fist.

"But why would the EPF want Karai?" Mikey wondered.

"We'll ask Bishop when we're getting Karai away from him," Leo responded. "Donnie, how's the Battle Shell?"

"In for a tune up, I'm afraid," Donnie relayed. "But the Party Wagon's good to go."

"Then let's party."

In the coal room, Stockman shut off his voice modulator and ended the call, smirking to himself.

"Right about now, the turtles should be in pursuit of poor Nakumo, desperately seeking to save their friend. They're so pathetically predictable."

In Brooklyn, Nakumo positioned himself on a roof adjacent to the warehouse Karai was being held. He looked through a pair of binoculars, scanning the area for an entrance. His eyes stopped on the roof, eying an air vent on top. Nakumo smiled before leaping towards the building. He ran over to the vent and removed it, revealing a laser grid underneath.

"Clever," he commended, reaching into his belt. "But not clever enough."

He then pulled out a small device and placed it in the laser field before activating it. This caused a reflective ring to sprout, stretching out until it encompassed the entire vent and blocked the lasers. This allowed him to drop down the ventilation system and get inside.

Inside the warehouse, Nakumo crawled along the vents, scoping out the area for Karai. He soon found her, sitting on the ground and hugging her legs, trying not to touch any of the energy surrounding her. Two EPF troops were standing on either side of the energy field, standing guard over her. Nakumo reached into his belt and pulled out a small blow gun and two darts. Loading them in, he shot the darts at the two soldiers, nailing them in the neck and causing them to drop. The second they did, Karai lifted her head, silently searching for the culprit.

"Leo?" She whispered. "Guys? Is that you?"

"Not exactly," Nakumo replied, leaping down to the ground.

Karai sprang to her feet upon seeing him, backing up as far as the barrier would allow.

"Nakumo..." she let out a nervous laugh, trying to look brave. "Nice beauty mark. Let me guess, Shredder wasn't happy I got out."

"Let's just say that if it were up to me, I'd leave you in the 'care' of Agent Bishop. But as it stands, my life now depends on saving yours."

"Oh really? If that's the case..." Karai took a deep breath. "BISHOP! SOMEONE'S IN HERE!"

Nakumo went wide-eyed, hearing soldiers already trying to get to him.

"You little… he'll kill you!"

"I know," Karai declared, meeting Nakumo dead in the eye. "And I'll take that over returning to Shredder anyday."

Nakumo gritted his teeth, turning around and drawing his swords, ready for the fight ahead.

Meanwhile just outside, the turtles' Party Wagon came speeding down the street, approaching the building at breakneck speed.

"There it is!" Donnie reported. "That's the warehouse. But it doesn't look like there's a visible entry point."

"No front door?" Raph surmised. "No problem."

"Mikey, ready the bomb-apult!" Leo ordered.

"Booyaka-Bunga!" Mikey called out, launching a projectile from the back of the Wagon.

The bomb collided with the side of the building, blowing a massive hole in it so the turtles could just drive through. Several EPF soldiers came out in response, opening fire on the Party Wagon.

"Raph! Donnie!" Leo called out. "Man the turrets!"
The two turtles nodded before getting into position. As they did, two side doors on the Party Wagon opened up, revealing Raph and Donnie on manned turrets. As the projectiles hit the soldiers, they released some sort of elastic substance that quickly began encasing them and causing them to tumble over.

"Hey Don!" Raph called out. "Where'd you get the super silly puddy?!"

"It was a reject batch of my Retro-Mutagen! Thought I could repurpose it into something useful!"

"Don, you the turtle!"

Finally, the Party Wagon skidded to a stop, hitting an EPF soldier and knocking him into a wall. One by one, the turtles filed out, quickly dispatching a few remaining EPF soldiers. Soon, only one was left still conscious. Leo grabbed them, throwing them against the wall.

"Where's Karai?!"

"You freaks won't get anything out of us!"

"Is that right?" Raph remarked. "Well if that's how you wanna play it… Mikey? How about one of your 'greatest hits'."

"Dude, I was hoping you'd ask," Mikey replied. "Pizza Power, Cowabunga, or Sing About it?"

The brothers all exchanged looks and grinned.

"Sing About It," they declared in unison.

Mikey nodded before clearing his throat and belting at the top his lungs.

"Sing about it!" he belted in an off key voice. "Got to sing about it! Sing about it! If you're happy or sad, sing about it!"

"Alright, alright!" the soldier relented. "Just stop! Stop!"

Mikey stopped, smirking as Leo stepped forward.

"Karai's location, or Mikey moves to the second verse."

"Same as the first," Raph warned. "A whole lot louder..."

"And a whole lot worse," Donnie concluded.

"She's through that corridor, two rights, then hang a left at the third hallway."

"Thanks," Leo replied, knocking the soldier out before the turtles took off.

Meanwhile, Nakumo was in the middle of his own fight. He swung his swords in a violent manner, slashing through soldiers left and right. As he kicked the last one away, there was a clapping sound coming from the entrance. Nakumo turned and saw Bishop entering the room.

"Impressive," he commended. "I wasn't expecting Shredder to respond so soon. Although, I had thought he'd come himself."

"Did you honestly believe the Shredder would give in to your demands?" Nakumo responded. "Hand over Karai, and you I promise to make your demise swift."

"Do not give me to him," Karai snapped.

"Neither of you are in a position to make demands here," Bishop reminded before facing Nakumo. "You're outnumbered and outgunned. So here's my proposal, my friend. Stand down now, and you may walk out of this alive."

"Let Karai go!" Leo declared, causing everyone to turn towards the door. "And I'll let all of you walk away alive!"

Instantly, the turtles busted in, much to Karai's relief.

"Guys!" she called out. "Get me out of here!"

"Don't worry, Karai!" Leo called back. "You're coming home with us!"

"Actually, neither of you are going to be taking her," Bishop shot down.

He then pulled out a remote and pressed a button, causing part of the floor he and Karai were on to lower to the ground.

"No!" Nakumo let out.

He quickly ran to the hole in the ground, sliding through just as the floor sealed up. The turtles were just a second too late, unable to make it in time.

"Damn," Leo cursed. "Don, we need to get in there!"

"I'll see what I can do," Donnie replied, heading for the controls.

Down below, Bishop loaded Karai onto an EPF train, which immediately began taking off. Nakumo slid down the shoot and landed on the tracks just as the train took off. Thinking fast, he pulled out a tracking device and tossed it at the train. As the device attached, a missile rose up from the train, firing at Nakumo. With barely enough time to curse, he leapt out of the way, the explosion tearing through the building and blowing Nakumo completely out of the lower tunnels.

Inside the warehouse, the explosion tore through the floor, knocking the turtles back as everything burst into flames. The building crumbled around them, burying them in rubble. In the wake of it all, the turtles pulled themselves up, groaning in pain as they each nursed bruises and burns. A ways away from them, Nakumo pulled himself from the rock, his uniform shredded to pieces. He searched the remains of his shirt, managing to find the tracer for the tracking device he'd planted.

"Don't think you can elude me for long, Bishop," he promised. "Now how am I-?"

He cut himself off when he saw the Party Wagon amongst the wreckage. He made his way over to it, throwing the doors open to find Raph's Shell Cycle inside.

"Looks like the turtles have some use after all."

As the turtles picked themselves up from the debris, they looked over and saw Nakumo riding off on the Shell Cycle, much to Raph's fury.

"Hey!" he cried out. "Hey, that's my bike! He's stealing my bike!"

"After him!" Leo shouted. "Donnie, please tell me there's a tracer on the bike!"

"Of course there is!" Donnie replied, all four turtles climbing into the Party Wagon. "I put tracers on everything!"

"I'm gonna clobber that guy for taking my bike!" Raph cried out as they drove off.

"And your helmet," Mikey added, gagging violently. "You might wanna burn that thing once we're done."

Meanwhile at the Foot Base, Shredder was pacing in his office, awaiting word on Karai's rescue. As he waited, Kraang Subprime entered the office.

"Hello Shredder," he greeted, giving a mock bow. "I have something you might want to hear."

"What is it?" Shredder demanded.

"We set up that stupid communications security system you asked for and found something screwy."

"Show me."

Kraang Subprime pulled out a communications device and played back a recording.

"This is Nakumo. I'm on my way to collect Karai."

Shredder's eyes narrowed in response.

"Stockman…"

Back with Nakumo, he continued riding the Shell Cycle down the street, swerving past numerous cars to keep pace with the train carrying Karai. His eye constantly darting towards the monitor on his wrist, allowing him to keep pace with the train.

In the tunnels below, Bishop's train came to a stop beside a large opening. There, several EPF soldiers were waiting, all saluting when Bishop disembarked.

"Captain, we have an incursion at base gamma," he informed. "I want full security coverage. Get the bird in the air."

"Yes sir!" the captain replied, sauteing Bishop.

Back on the street, Nakumo skidded to a stop, finding that the tracking device was leading him to a nearby building. He smiled, revving the bike as he darted forward. Before he could reach the building though, a military helicopter came into view, opening fire on Nakumo. He gritted his teeth, leaping off the bike as the Helicopter gunned it down, destroying it. Furious, Nakumo pulled out a Kraang blaster and opened fire on the copter, nailing it in the blades and causing it to crash to the ground. Nakumo looked down at the weapon and smirked.

"Those aliens are always full of surprises."

Inside the building, numerous EPF soldiers took their positions at the main entrance, awaiting Nakumo's inevitable arrival. Just then, a barrage of blaster fire tore through the door, allowing Nakumo to kick it down and open fire on the soldier. With the blaster in one hand and a sword in the other, Nakumo fought his way through in the hopes of taking Karai back and regaining his honor.

Outside, the turtles quickly arrived, seeing the Shell Cycle in flames.

"Oh no!" Raph let out, running up to the downed bike. "The Shell Cycle! It… it…"

He let out a yell of rage before charging into the building.

"Raph, wait!" Leo called out as Raph went barrelling in.

"Man, and I thought Leo would be the one to go charging in," Mikey commented.

"C'mon, we gotta move!" Donnie insisted.

Once the soldiers were down, Nakumo made his way over to a wall and threw an explosive at it. It exploded, revealing a secret elevator leading down.

"Perfect," he remarked.

"Nakumo!" Raph cried out.

Nakumo turned around, just as Raph came up and kicked him in the chest, knocking him to the ground.

"That's for stealing my bike!" Raph told him before kicking him across the face. "And that's for trashing it!"

"I don't have time for this!" Nakumo insisted.

When Raph tried to kick him again. Nakumo grabbed his foot and threw him into the wall as hard as he could. When he fell, he grabbed Raph again, this time throwing him hard into his oncoming brothers.

"I'll only say this once. Stay out of my way!"

He pulled out another explosive and tossed it at them, forcing them to scatter. Nakumo took advantage of the discraction and leapt down the elevator shaft.

"If I didn't hate that guy before," Raph commented. "I do now!"

"Come on," Leo motioned. "Right now, he's our only lead on finding Karai. We can't lose him!"

One by one the turtles leapt down the elevator shaft, hoping to keep pace with Nakumo.

At the bottom of the shaft, Nakumo caught sight of the train, still stationary and one of the doors open. Seizing his chance, Nakumo dashed on board, finding Karai still in her energy cage. She was no longer scared, and just glared daggers at him.

"Oh, you're still chasing me," she deadpanned.

"Believe me," he replied, "no one's more annoyed by this than I am."

"Fine, whatever. Just let me out of this damn thing."

Nakumo raised an eyebrow.

"Why the sudden desire to be freed by me?" he questioned, stepping towards her.

Suddenly, the panel under him was shoved upward by a hidden Bishop, knocking Nakumo back out the door and off the train.

"My guess, because of that," the agent jeered.

Bishop then sprung to his feet and sealed the door, allowing the train to take off. Seeing this, Nakumo shot back up and pulled out a kusarigama chain, spinning it before throwing it at the train. It hooked on, allowing him to pull himself onto the train. As he did so, the turtles made their way down, seeing the train taking off.

"They're gettin away!" Raph let out.

"Fire grappling hooks!" Leo ordered.

The turtles all pulled out their grappling hooks and fired at the train. They zipped on, crawling to the roof as Nakumo slid along the side. He pulled out a set of climbing claws and put them on backwards, allowing him to punch the window and shatter it. He then pressed the button to open the door and made his way inside. Seeing him coming, Bishop grabbed a nearby gun and opened fire on him, forcing Nakumo to swerve between the shots until he reached him. Nakumo then grabbed the gun and forced it upwards, causing the turtles to react fast and dodge the attack.

As they struggled, Nakumo managed to knock the gun into the energy field holding Karai, slicing it in half. She flinched when it hit, and Nakumo just stared at the now useless gun. Bishop discarded it, prompting him to charge forward at Nakumo. He tackled him into a wall, causing Nakumo to grunt hard. He tried bringing his hands down on top of him, but Bishop quickly dodge before spin-kicking him in the face.

"Oooh," Mikey let out as the turtles watched. "That looked like it hurt."

"Come on," Leo motioned. "Let's get Karai out of here while they're distracted."

They slipped through the window Nakumo had shattered, jumping down and approaching Karai.

"Hang on Karai," Leo reassured. "We're gonna get you out of there."

Karai smiled before looking up.

"Watch out!" she called out.

The turtles looked over and saw Nakumo being flung over to them. They all moved out of the way as Nakumo caught himself, inches away from the energy barrier. Before he could move, Bishop came up and placed his foot down hard on him, trying to push him into the barrier.

"You're finished, all of you," he snarled.

"Got… to save… Karai!" Nakumo forced out.

Fortunately for him, Raph quickly leapt towards them, kicking Bishop off of Nakumo.

"Lucky for you ninja boy, Bishop might be the one guy I hate more than you," Raph told him before socking him on the jaw. "And you owe me a new bike!"

Raph then drew his sai and charged at Bishop, jabbing his weapons at him. Bishop quickly evaded the strikes as he backed away. Mikey then landed on a pole behind him and tried to swing at him with his nunchucks. Bishop quickly ducked under it before leaping out of the way of one of Raph's sai.

"Raph, turtle double team!" Mikey suggested.

Raph took Mikey's hand and spun him around, slinging him into Bishop and causing him to skid backwards. Nakumo then ran up and drew his second sword, swinging at him repeatedly. As Bishop dodged the strikes, he undid his tie and used it to grab Nakumo's arm, catching him and using it to throw him into a wall.

Meanwhile, Donnie was looking over the device keeping Karai trapped, Leo watching his back. Sadly, Donnie kept getting distracted by all of the tech he was surrounded by, much to the chagrin of his brother, as well as his intended rescue

"The tech in this train is amazing. Bishop certainly has-"

"Donnie!" Leo cut off. "Focus."

"Right, sorry."

Mikey crashed down near the duo, flipping back onto his feet and jumping into the fray. Leo drew his swords and went to join, leaving Donnie to his work. Bishop then quickly ducked to avoid Leo's sword strike, kicking Nakumo's discarded sword into his hand and blocking a second strike from Leo. They clashed hard, trading blows until Bishop was able to disarm Leo, bringing his sword down on his head. Leo quickly rolled out of the way, dodging the blade.

"Fascinating," Donnie continued to marvel. "I've never seen anything so-"

"Donnie!" Karai insisted. "Focus! We're running out of time!"

"Sorry! Sorry!" He took a look at the machine, then turned back to Leo. "Leo! I could use a hand!"

Leo quickly reclaimed his blade and rolled backwards away from Bishop, allowing Mikey to leapfrog over Leo and kick Bishop back as Mikey and Raph surrounded him. Leo then landed next to Donnie, giving him a nod.

"What do you need?"

"Slice the upper ring on my mark," Donnie instructed, waiting for Leo to get into position as he timed it, "...NOW!"

Leo leapt up and cut through the ring, disabling the energy field and allowing Karai to leap out.

"Finally," Karai let out, stretching her arms. "I don't suppose I can borrow one of your katana?"

Leo pulled out his second sword and passed it to Karai.

"I'm gonna want that back," Leo remarked.

The three ninjas ran to catch up with Raph and Mikey as they continued to fight Bishop. Bishop easily dodged their attacks as Karai ran up and swung at him. He easily blocked the blade, much to her annoyance.

"I see you decided to stretch your legs," he noted.

"Your trap was rather tight, and I'm just dying to return the favor!"

She leapt up and tried kicking him in the head, but he quickly rolled out of the way of the strike. Before he could make a move, Nakumo ran up and wrapped his arm around his neck, trying to choke him. Bishop quickly headbutted him from behind, causing him to let go. Nakumo stumbled back as Leo leapt up to Bishop, slashing at him. Bishop sidestepped the strike and quickly backhanded him away. He tried bringing his sword down on him, but Mikey quickly shot out his chain, wrapping it around the blade.

"Ah-ah-ah," Mikey jeered. "Can't let you do that!"

Mikey then pulled on the chain, yanking it out of his hands. This allowed Donnie to run up and swing his staff at Bishop. Bishop did his best to avoid the strikes, eventually grabbing the staff and spinning Donnie around into Leo and Mikey. The three tumbled to the ground as Raph ran up. He leapt up and tried bringing his sai down on him, forcing him to leap out of the way. He barely had time to react though as Karai and Nakumo ran up to him, kicking him in the face and knocking him into the wall. As he picked himself up, he took note of the six ninjas staring him down.

"It would seem that the odds have changed," he noted.

He quickly pulled out a knife and threw it at the group, causing Donnie and Raph to dodge as Bishop ran towards them. He leapt over them and grabbed the knife before running to the front of the train.

"But I never play the odds."

"Why Bishop?" Leo asked. "What was this all about?"

"The obtainment of alien technology via Oroku Saki," Bishop explained. "A futile gesture, as I can now see."

He then pressed a few buttons, causing the front of the train to detach from the rest.

"However," he continued holding up the knife to show it had some blood on it. "An analysis on your DNA might make up for the whole affair."

The turtles went wide, looking to see Raph and Donnie possessing deep cuts on their arms from the knife, enough to draw blood. Unfortunately, there wasn't much they could do except watch as the train took off, now sporting thrusters so chasing after it would be impossible.

"He… he has our blood…" Donnie realized.

"Of all the people to have our blood, he's got to be the worst of the worst!"

"I could care less about what that maniac has planned for you creatures," Nakumo sneered, pulling himself to his feet. "Not only can I take Karai back to the Shredder, but I can slay you four as a bonus."

He made it two steps before Karai kicked him through the shattered window, stranding him on the tracks and knocking him out.

"Not this time," she swore before turning back to the turtles. "Thanks for the rescue, guys."

"Anytime," Leo replied, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I'm just glad you're safe."

She just pulled him into a hug, burying her face in his shoulder. Leo just returned the hug in kind as the train car came to a stop.

"Yeah yeah, that's just peachy," Raph griped. "You two got a happy ending, and I lost my bike."

"Maybe so, but look on the bright side," Mikey insisted. "Donnie got a shiny new train car, one we can use to replace that stupid handcar to the garage."

"More than that, check that side compartment on the side of the train," Karai suggested. "I saw one of Bishop's men loading something into it."

Raph just rolled his eyes before checking the compartment. His face lit up to see a large, matt black, military style bike, complete with what appeared to be some small ordinance weapons, a nitro tank, and there was even a helmet hooked onto the seat.

"Thank you, Agent Bishop!"

Leaving Raph to his new bike, and Donnie to his train car, Leo approached Karai.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine. Even if Nakumo had been the one to free me, I was never going to go willingly back to Shredder. I was gonna throw myself into those beams before then."

"It was never gonna come to that. No matter what… you can count on us."

Karai smiled upon hearing that, prompting her to hug Leo once again, which he returned in kind.

Later, Nakumo returned to Foot HQ, where he kneeled before Shredder. His eyes were screwed shut as he said the words that would no doubt mean his demise.

"Master, Karai has been freed from Bishop's grasp, but… she escaped with the turtles. I have failed..."

"This is… disappointing."

Nakumo braced himself for what was to come, only for Shredder to walk past him.

"Still, at least with the turtles, I know she is alive. You may live… for now."

Nakumo let out a breath upon hearing that.

"Thank you Master."

"But do not think you have redeemed yourself. A half victory is nothing to celebrate. You need something much greater if you are to redeem yourself in my eyes."
"I will do whatever you ask, Master."

"It is quite simple… bring me a turtle."
