This one has a bit of Harry/Susan, but the focus is more of a non-romantic between Harry and her auntie, and hence Harry and Amelia 1 is the title of this one. This will have at least two parts. Enjoy!
It was a fine morning at Bones Manor and Amelia was about to read a copy of the Daily Prophet. One of the headlines was about a court ruling for a pair of abusive parents. The first thing Amelia decided to read was this article, as she had been heavily involved in the case.
"...after the trial was over, both parents had been sentenced to twenty years in Azkaban and the child would be raised by his mother's cousin."
Just then, Susan and Harry came into the kitchen.
"Good morning, Auntie. What are you reading?" Susan asked her as she and Harry sat at the table for breakfast.
"Good morning, Susan. It's a news article about the child abuse case I had recently finished," she answered.
Harry immediately thought back to the case of abuse involving him and the Dursleys. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Perunia were both currently behind bars while Dudley had been forced into seeing a child psychologist. Amelia had worked on this case too, and the outcome for him was that he now lived here with Amelia and Susan (the latter of which had become his best friend and secret crush).
"That actually reminds me," Susan said, turning to Harry. "Harry, have you finished writing the you-know-what?"
Harry looked at Susan and smiled. "I sure did."
Amelia looked at the two kids in confusion. "What are you two talking about?"
Susan merely smiled at her auntie. "It's a secret, but you'll find out soon."
