Emily couldn't believe it, her uncle told her that she can't help look for Luz. She's been complaining about it the entire walk back.
"Can you believe that he won't let me help!? That is unfair! She's my cousin!"
Tracey looked at Heather.
"You want to just fly back?"
"I wish, but she probably knows a spell to keep up with us." Heather said.
"I can hear you; you know!" Emily said.
"Calm down, Emily. I'm sure your uncle has this under control." Heather said, trying to calm her down.
In the cage, Luz was banging the cuffs against the steel bars. Her efforts to break them wasn't working and she groaned. Knowing her luck, her magic wouldn't work. She fell to the ground and started crying. Without her magic, friends, or staff she has no way to get out. The door opened and Nathaniel opened the cell door.
"Time to go." He said, grabbing Luz by the cuffs.
He pulled her close and hit her hard in the head. She was knocked out and he tossed her over his shoulder.
"Don't want to be late for the game, do we?" He said.
Emily and Heather sat in the stands as the game was going on. Tracey was down with the rest of the cheerleaders. Tracey's eyes started to glow red for a second before returning to their normal icy blue color. Emily's eyes glowed purple for a second and she turned to Heather, seeing her eyes glowing red for a second before the glow stopped.
"You felt that two, right?" Heather asked.
"Yes. It means something bad is going to happen." Emily said, "I don't know how you did it, but as an Oracle witch, I can have these brief moments of the future. When my glow for a second without me doing it, it means a bad thing is going to happen."
"What do we do?"
"Yeah, what do we do?"
"Wait, since when can you read minds?" Heather asked Tracey.
"A couple of days. What do we do?"
Unfortunately, we have to wait." Emily said, "Without any more knowledge of what's going to happen, we can't do anything. It's too risky to do magic here, we shouldn't even be talking about this."
Suddenly, a large explosion destroyed a part of the gym wall. People started to panic and tried to run for the door when they were covered in a red outline and weren't able to move.
"Sorry, but I don't want any of you to miss this. Besides..." Nathaniel said, patting Luz head, "I have a beast coming. She'll be hungry."
"Can you get us out of this?" Tracey thought.
"Working... on it." Emily said.
Emily was using all her strength to get a finger up. She struggled to make a spell circle.
"You two can also try something!" She stressed.
Heather used looked around for a shadow to teleport to. Tracey watched as Nathaniel opened a paper. Tracey knew what that was, her mom told her about them. He was going to curse her. Tracey's eyes turned red and she clenched her fist. Luz closed her eyes, just waiting until she was cursed... but it never came. Instead, she felt herself get pushed out of the way and land hard on the ground. She opened her eyes and looked at where she saw the curse get activated on...
"Tracey!?"
Tracey screamed in pain and she fell to her knees. Nathaniel grabbed Tracey by the neck and growled at her.
"Do you know what you've just done?! You just ruined months of planning!"
He kneed her in the stomach threw her against a wall. Luz watched as Nathaniel made a spell circle and a large rock spire went through her stomach.
"That's enough out of her." Nathaniel said, "Now for you. I may not be able to curse you now, but I can still kill you."
He reached down and grabbed Luz by her cuffs. He felt a hand grab his shoulder. He was turned around and hit hard enough to send him flying into the wall. He looked up and saw Tracey. Her wings and horns were out, her eyes were black and red, and her teeth were sharp. With each exhale, a growling noise was made. She reached down and pulled the broken rock out of her stomach.
"You want to know something? My mother told me... that you can't curse a demon. You also can't kill me with simple magic." She raised her hands and let her claws out, "Leave... Luz... alone."
You thought I'd give you the final battle now? Nope, that'll take a lot of time to make. In the meantime, I made a poll on my profile that will be open until Friday, March 26th at 12:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time). Anyone that doesn't know what that is, it's the Time Zone for the U.S East Coast, go Vote, I need it. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
