The duel between Dark Ringo and Deep Blue had ramped up, with one of Deep Blue's Sacred Beasts now dominating the field. If Dark Ringo did not pull the right card, she would lose quickly due to the monster's effect of siphoning additional life points from her whenever it destroyed a monster. "My chances of winning ride on this card," she thought to herself as she drew a card.

Deep Blue thought to himself, "Nothing could possibly save her now."

As she looked at the card she drew, she breathed a sigh of relief, proving Deep Blue's assumption wrong. "I activate Lightning Vortex! I discard one card from my hand to destroy all face-up attack position monsters on your side of the field!"

To Deep Blue's horror, the card would indeed destroy Hamon. "What?!"

"I know that the effects of Magic Cards only affect Hamon for one turn, but one turn is all Lightning Vortex needs!" As Lightning Vortex destroyed Hamon, she then flipped up her set Magic/Trap Card. "Now that Hamon is out of the way, Reverse Card Open! Call Of The Haunted! I resurrect my La Jinn and bring him back to the field!" As La Jinn returned, she then selected the last card in her hand. "But I'm not done yet! I then summon Rapid-Fire Magician! Now, La Jinn and Rapid-Fire Magician, attack Deep Blue directly!" Both monsters then charged at Deep Blue, with La Jinn first punching him across the face and knocking him to the ground and then Rapid-Fire Magician forming five balls of light to throw at Deep Blue, burning and electrocuting him as he screamed in pain.

DEEP BLUE: 2400

DARK RINGO: 1300

"You damn traitor," Deep Blue muttered to himself as he stood up, still in pain from the attacks.

"How's that? I end my turn." Dark Ringo was once again in control of the duel, and Deep Blue appeared to be in trouble. "How does it feel to have one of your most powerful monsters ripped away from you? How does it feel to be made powerless and submissive? Well, now you know how I have felt ever since I lost to Ichigo!"

Three days after Dark Ringo's Duel with Dark Ichigo

Within a Cyniclon meeting space, the same that Deep Blue had once used to communicate to the Ikisatashi brothers before he had regained a body, Deep Blue communicated with the now-bodyless Dark Ringo, furious over her loss. "I can't believe we failed again! You should have dueled her with the regular Super Expert Rules instead of the First Edition Rules, and with a deck that was built for those rules!"

"Give me another chance," Dark Ringo begged of him. "You gave me the Dark Magician of Chaos for a reason, after all. You trusted me that much."

"You're not gonna do anything for a while," Deep Blue admonished her. "Considering you can't even beat our greatest threat when she's using a half-rate deck! Why should I continue to invest in someone like you?!"

"Master Deep Blue... Please..."

Deep Blue then summoned lightning from his hands and shocked Dark Ringo's soul as she stood before him, causing her to scream in pain. After the shock was delivered and as she lay on the floor, twitching in agony, he told her, "You won't be getting any priority assignments or help from me again. You're on your own, Nameless Soul." Since Dark Ringo had no recollection of herself before waking up in Ringo Akai's body, she was often referred to as the Nameless Soul by Deep Blue

The Next Day

"I summon the Dark Magician of Chaos," Dark Ringo declared as she went up against a regular duelist on her home island in the middle of the night, having taken over Ringo's body again for the time being. "This is your end! Now, attack her Shadowslayer and end the duel! Death Ultima!" The Dark Magician of Chaos then cast a spell that obliterated Shadowslayer, causing it to explode into various pieces and dropping her opponent's life points to zero.

"Damn it," replied her opponent, who was around Zakuro's age. "I lost. So, what do I owe you for winning?"

"You're going to owe me quite a bit," Dark Ringo sinisterly declared as she walked up to her with a deranged smile on her face. "I'll let you know that I actually took over halfway through this duel from my host." She then grabbed her by her shirt collar and pulled her up. "And since I won, you'll need to endure a punishment."

"A... Punishment?!"

Dark Ringo then dropped her to the ground as her Mew Mark appeared on her forehead. "Well, well, it's time for you to go to Hell. You shall wander in the never-ending darkness forever." She then pointed at her. "Penalty Game!"

Immediately, a set of three hands reached out from the ground and grabbed onto her opponent, who screamed in fear as they then firmly grasped a hold on her legs. Then, a fourth and fifth arm appeared from the ground and grabbed a hold of her arms before a sixth and final hand reached out and into her chest, causing her to feel a sharp pain throughout her body before it dragged out a giant white ball of light. As all six arms retreated into the ground, she dropped to the ground, having been killed due to her soul being dragged into Hell.

Dark Ringo immediately pulled out her deck from her duel disk and began to look through it for cards she could use. "Hmmm... This deck isn't terrible, but..." She then stuffed the cards into one of her pockets. "I might as well take them all. It's not like you'll be needing them anymore."

Present

"I've played the sidekick role long enough," Dark Ringo declared. "I'm not going to let my own plans play second fiddle to your's any longer. I don't care about your plans to wipe humanity off of the face of our ancestral home planet. I don't even care if Tokyo Mew Mew wins against you! I just want you to lose!"

"So that's how you truly feel?" Deep Blue was amused, and even began laughing.

"You find all of that funny?!"

"Of course I do," he replied. "You're so young, and yet your dreams far outpace you! You're in way over your head, Nameless Soul, and with a host like Akai Ringo, you won't be going far."

"Who ever said I was staying in this body?" Dark Ringo then pointed at him. "Ever since the doctor resurrected you with a body of your own, you've been able to achieve so much in such little time without Aoyama Masaya weighing you down. That's why when I win this duel, I'll take your body!"

"You are way too confident in yourself," Deep Blue replied as he drew a card. "My turn! I set a monster and set a Magic or Trap Card! I end my turn!"

"My turn," Dark Ringo then declared as she drew a card.

"Reverse Card Open! Waboku! Now you won't be able to destroy any monsters or deal any damage to me for a whole turn!"

"Damn it," Dark Ringo muttered. "I can still do this, though! I summon Magician's Valkyria! Due to its effect, you can only target it for attacks if you want to attack a Spellcaster on my side of the field!" As Magician's Valkyria took to the field, Dark Ringo then declared, "I end my turn."

"My turn," Deep Blue said as he drew a card. "I flip my set monster, revealing Slate Warrior! Due to its effect, its attack is boosted from 1900 to 2400, and its defense is boosted from 400 to 900! Now, Slate Warrior, attack her Magician's Valkyria!" Slate Warrior then charged at Valkyria, striking her in the abdomen and punching a hole through her before she vanished.

DEEP BLUE: 2400

DARK RINGO: 0500

"I end my turn," Deep Blue concluded. "I won't need a Sacred Beast to defeat you. How disappointing. I expected a harder fight from the likes of you."

Dark Ringo then drew a card and trembled in fear. "Come on..."

"You must have no options left," Deep Blue replied before he laughed maniacally. "How marvelous! This duel will end once my turn comes around!"

Dark Ringo then looked at the card she drew and breathed a sigh of relief. "And just as you say that, you're proven wrong! I sacrifice both of my monsters to summon the Dark Magician!" She then placed the aforementioned card onto her duel disk, followed soon after by La Jinn and Rapid-Fire Magician merging and forming into Dark Magician on the field. "You set me up with the very cards that will cause your demise! Dark Magician, attack his Slate Warrior! Black Magic!" Dark Magician then extended his hand at Slate Warrior and cast a spell that obliterated the fiend from the field.

DEEP BLUE: 2300

DARK RINGO: 0500

"Take that," she declared as she ended her turn.

"Just a minor setback," Deep Blue replied as he drew a card. "I set a Magic or Trap card and end my turn."
