There was a hovering elemental sphere over an indoor amusement park. The Dark Avatar glared down at the heroes. "Well then… let's get this party started, shall we?" He then extended his arms and he made five explosive comets shoot out from his elemental sphere and they were falling down towards the heroes. Before they could counter, he made sure to create fissures to keep the heroes unstable and off their feet.
Though Hen was able to erect a large wall that blocked the flames. But the explosive force of the fireballs shattered them, reducing his wall to raining stones.
"Geez, he's that strong!?" a sharp blade of water was speeding to him but Gray managed to freeze it before it would impale Hen's chest.
Natsu and Aang glared at him. "Together Natsu!" Aang exclaimed.
"You got it! Fire Dragon's Roar!" he expelled mass amounts of fire that was shooting up to Zong and Aang made a strong draft of air that mixed with Natsu's flames. The flames were amplified, with multiple tails of fire whipping behind them.
Zong simply outstretched his hand and the mass of fire stopped in front of him and he clenched his fist, compressing all the fire down to the size of a fireball that would normally be shot from his hand. He swatted his hand sending it back down to the heroes.
"C-can one of us stop that!?" Lucy exclaimed in fear.
Azula aimed her two pointed fingers at the compressed fireball before shooting a stream of lightning at it. The second the lightning hit, there was a tremendous explosion that left the area engulfed in a white flash for a second. Everyone else covered their eyes as there was a loud ringing all over the area.
"Geez!" Katara exclaimed. "You couldn't come up with something better!?"
"I'd like to see you go up and fight that homicidal maniac!" she retorted.
"WHAT?" Hen exclaimed, covering his ears still recovering from the tinnitus blaring through his ears.
A heavy stream of fire was heading down to Lucy. She gasped because she didn't react in time, but Natsu quickly stepped in front of her and let the flames engulf him. Zong saw Natsu seemingly getting burned but suddenly, he could see the flames being sucked into his mouth.
"You're gonna wish you hadn't done that!" Natsu snarled.
The Dark Avatar was baffled as he hung in the air. "Okay… didn't see that coming!" he started hovering closer to them. "So if fire won't hurt you, I'll just-" he shifted his pupils to his left as he could sense something veering behind him. He hovered out of the way of the boat that Hughes was previously standing on. It crashed right down onto the heroes, seemingly crushing the whole group.
Zong landed on the ground while Hughes landed a slight distance away, he held his small, thin magic wand and was aiming at Zong.
"Hehe, thanks. I guess. I suppose I couldn't have all the kills to myself huh?" Zong said as his elemental sphere dissipated.
Hughes continued to glare at his former ally. "As if, you were the one I was aiming for. You were supposed to be one of us, but you're nothing but a traitor!"
Zong suddenly was sinking into the floor, he turned and saw Sugarboy sticking his sword in the ground, and it was somehow being liquefied. "We're going to put you down, right here." he declared.
The Dark Avatar chuckled. "Really? The two of you kill me? Oh that's rich!" he leaped out from the soft ground and the liquid ground was floating around him in bulbous orbs.
"Huh?"
"You look confused, Sugarboy. You thought you could trap me using that sword of yours huh? But liquified ground is basically mud. Luckily 'Mudbending' is child's play for me!" he remained on an air scooter that was below his feet.
"I don't understand! Why did you betray us! We were supposed to bring limitless magic to Edolas together." Hughes asked.
To this, Zong only replied with a shrug. "I don't know what to tell you. I just want to kill in all honesty. It doesn't matter if it's a human, exceed, or even a damn animal. There's no underline reason, it's just what I do. It brings me fulfillment you see." he then hovered higher and eyed the both of them. "And you know what? I've noticed something... You guys - The Edolas Kingdom, you're not too different from those winged cats in the sky. Where in just like the Exceeds underestimate humans, you guys underestimate Earth Landers. Which doesn't make sense to me considering how their world is practically teeming with magic." he said pointing down to the rubble of the wrecked boat and the carousel that crushed the heroes. Zong smirked. "In fact you just proved my point considering that they actually survived that attack."
Hughes was shocked and he turned to the rubble where he saw Gray and Aang standing in front of the group. Gray made a wide ice shield that protected them while there were huge pillars sticking out from the ground that was keeping the rubble from falling on top of them.
"An ice shield?" Hughes asked himself.
Zong let out a tired sigh. "You seriously didn't think that would be enough to kill them, did ya? We're talking about Earth Land magic here, it's something we've never seen before. This won't be as easy as those Edolas Dark Guilds you had me eliminate."
"They really don't use items too hmm?" Sugarboy asked. "This is my first time seeing that power from someone other than Zong," he said in a calm tone.
"HEY!" Sokka said as he was aiming his sword at them. "Why don't we team up against Zong?!"
"Ooh?!" Zong giggled.
"He's a common enemy, and he wants to destroy both our worlds! So why don't we take him down, then we can go back to fighting each other."
"Heh, you really think we'll help you!?" Hughes asked with a smirk.
Sugarboy stood beside Hughes. "Nothing personal. Just our King's orders."
Azula pinched the bridge of her nose. "Should have seen that coming!"
They all watched flames generating under Natsu's feet. "Huh!? His feet are on fire!?" Hughes exclaimed.
"Oh boy… here it comes!" Zong said in an excited tone.
They saw Natsu leap up to meet Zong in the air and punch him in the face, sending him falling to the ground, creating cracks in the ground. "We're going to save our friends, and put you down at the same time!" Zong stood up and he rubbed his chin.
"Oh that hurt, I haven't been hit like that since I left my world behind." He could see Aang rushing to him, releasing a wake of air behind him. He slid forward and made a wave of backward-angled earth pillars steamroll towards Zong. The Dark Avatar leaped up off the rocks with his hands and flipped in the air. "I've been waiting for this, for a long while!" he kicked off the air and was speeding down to Aang. The Avatar could feel the ground beneath his feet rise up to keep his feet, shackled. Before he could do anything, Zong punched the ground close to Aang, making a giant ground wave that shot him high into the sky. "Huh, maybe I hit him too hard."
As Aang was still rising skywards, his momentum suddenly stopped and when he looked behind him, he could see Lisanna holding onto his shirt with what looked to be talons replacing her feet while her arms were replaced with green and red harpy wings. "Huh… Lisanna?"
"Are you ok?" she asked.
"Yeah… I just lost focus for a bit there." They could both see Zong speeding up into the air after them.
"HEY!" He looked down to see Natsu chasing after him with his flames covering his feet. "You ain't runnin' from me!" This distraction allowed Aang to trap Zong on a sphere of air which left him confused. This was enough time to allow Natsu to get close. "I've got you! Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" he threw another punch to Zong's face, making him spin in the air. He barely had enough time to recover before he could see Lisanna speeding down to him with her sharp talons. She fell down faster because of a tailwind that Aang blew behind her. She trapped him in her talons and they both fell hard to the ground, exploding the earth around them with Zong taking the brunt of the impact.
When the dust was clearing, Lisanna could feel a hand tightening around her throat as Zong was on his feet and was lifting her up off the ground with his hand. Her Take-Over magic ended and she tried to pry his hand off her neck.
"You look familiar. Yes… you were in Edolas Fairy Tail, weren't you? But you can use magic without items like the rest of your friends?" tendrils of water tied around his hands and they reeled back, making him drop Lisanna to the ground. "Ugh now what!?" he saw Katara glaring at him as she controlled two water tendrils that were tired around his wrists.
He was restrained while Lisanna glared at him. "Yes I was in Edolas Fairy Tail… but I am originally from Earth Land!" she was covered in a golden glow. "Take Over - ..." Lisanna's transformation resulted in her forearm's transforming, feline pads appeared on the surface of her hands which transformed into large cat paws that had black stripes on them while the paws were blue, there were sharp claws at the end of her fingers. Her clothes transformed as well, she wore a two-piece blue and black tiger-themed bikini, and she had a collar around her neck with a bell. She had a cat's nose, whiskers, and a long tail. She gained cat ears on top of her head that were the same color as her hair. "Animal Soul…Cat!"
"Heh, yep you really are from Earth Land. I honestly never knew." Katara held him tight while Lisanna charged forward to him. She was scratching him over and over while moving quickly around him. She even sliced the water that kept Zong restrained.
He was loose and she continued her relentless scratching. But suddenly, she found her paws getting caught, surprising her. What scared her even more was that there was a smirk on his face despite the cat-scratches. "You know… as attractive as you are in this form. I ain't losing to a cat." he headbutted her which dazed her for a moment as she reeled back. She then saw a blast of fire heading to her, but that was instantly doused by a bullet of water which Katara fired in front of it, saving Lisanna in the process.
He faced down the two girls but he then noticed Aang and Natsu landing behind him. "But as much as I'd like to finish the job I started with Edolas Fairy Tail..." He half-turned around to eye both Aang and Natsu. "I'm more interested in you, Natsu!"
"Huh?"
"The King's always hyped up your kind, so I'd be lying if I'd say I wasn't a little intrigued. Come on, show me the true destructive power of a Dragon Slayer, I absolutely crave it, Natsu Dragneel!" he exclaimed.
Natsu's right arm was engulfed in fire. "You're hungry, huh? Well choke on this!" he sped to Zong with a flaming fist.
…
At the same time, Hughes was avoiding pillars from Hen. "Hey, give back our friends, you damn jerk!" Hen exclaimed as Hughes looked to jump onto a blue metal railing that curved all over the amusement park.
"Your friends… they are going to be used to provide our kingdom with everlasting Magic Power!" He dodged a light beam from Sokka's sword.
"Yeah, as if we're going to stand here and let you do that!"
"Heh, why don't you come over here and do your worst?" Hughes said, egging on Hen.
"Oh don't mind if I do!" Hen leaped onto the blue railing that Hughes stood on.
Sokka turned to Lucy. "Lucy let's help him out!"
"Right." she nodded, the both ran towards Hughes while he was dealing with Hen.
At the same time, Zuko, Gray, and Azula were sinking into the ground.
"Oh what the hell?!" Azula exclaimed.
"We're sinking into the ground," Gray said.
They all saw Sugarboy humming to himself with his sword touching the ground. As soon as Sokka noticed he was sinking,
Hen could see a red roller coasted speeding to him as he stood on the railing, it had what looked like an angry face on the front of it, and there was fire trailing underneath the coaster. "Whoa!" both Hen and Hughes leaped off the railing, though Hen remained on the blue metal. "Yeah nice move, but you're not going to get me that easily!"
"You really think so?" Hughes smirked as he then waved his wand and yellow energy was following it. "Hell Tornado!"
"What does that do?" he could see the coaster that nearly ran him over, flying in the sky, creating a track as it moved. "Whoa… that's pretty cool!" he exclaimed.
"My Command Baton can freely control all the attractions here!" Hughes briefly explained as his wand's tip was glowing bright yellow.
Hen leaped off the railing and he threw a large rock to the coaster which made it explode into small pieces. "Doesn't matter if you can control them if I can smash 'em!"
"Think again, Boulder-brain!" That wasn't the only Hell Coaster." he revealed as he was waving the wand around. "I conduct the beautiful symphony that they all play together!"
Hen could see three Hell Coasters speeding to him, they made blue rails as they moved all over the park. "Ah Crap!" he used a rock pillar to shoot himself up. "Sokka, Lucy, watch out for those coasters, they can move freely by them-" as he was in the air, he was run over by one of them. Once he was dazed in the air, another coaster caught him and he was in the seat. "What the hell is-" suddenly a pair of large white hands held him down into the coaster.
"Visitors' safety takes top priority at our attractions!" he then laughed. "Just kidding!" he could hear Hen screaming as he moved the coaster through the air with his wand. "With magic power, the Hell Coasters go ten times faster than normal speed. No one can withstand five minutes of it."
"AHAHAHAHAHA!" Hughes looked up to see Hen laughing with his hands stretching out the side. "This is the best rush EVER!" he looked down at Hughes. "Is this the best you got? Make it FASTERRR!"
"H-how! Is this guy crazy strong!" Hughes asked as he saw both Lucy and Sokka running over to him.
"Hey! Let him go!" Sokka exclaimed.
"Oh, do you want to join him!" Hughes asked while swinging his wand. A pair of coasters had run over and captured both Sokka and Lucy.
"HUH!?" Sokka exclaimed. The hands held down both Lucy and Sokka to their coasters.
"What is this!?" Lucy asked.
"Make sure to strap in and enjoy the ride!" Hughes said.
"KYAAAAA!" Lucy screamed as her eyes turned white. Sokka's arms were waving out of the ride and he screamed as well.
Next to them, they could see Hen laughing his head off as his coaster was flying next to them. "Oh hi, there guys! This ride is pretty sweet huh?"
"You're enjoying this!" Lucy exclaimed, her eyes still white.
"Well duh, I love a good ol' adrenaline rush. It doesn't get any better than this!" the coasters separated as Hughes was getting annoyed that Hen wasn't getting sick to his stomach while Sokka and Lucy were screaming in fear.
"MAKE IT STOOOOOP!" Lucy screamed.
"PLEASE DON'T!" Hen yelled.
…
As the others were sinking they all looked up to the three coasters that were speeding around the entire park. "They're in trouble!" Gray said.
"If you haven't noticed, so are we!" Azula said.
"Hold onto me!" Gray said. Zuko and Azula grabbed his jacket and the ice mage looked up to many of the swirling metal that was left behind by the coasters. "Ice-Make: Grappling Hook!" he shot out some grappling hooks made of ice that hooked onto the metal railing, pulling both him, Zuko, and Azula out from the ground.
"Hmm… if you could do that, why don't you go and save your friends?" Sugarboy questioned.
"Cause they can take care of themselves," Gray replied with a smirk. "Besides, who would be left to give you a beat down!?"
Azula rolled her eyes."Oh please… if anyone has an ax to grind with these Edolas freaks, it's ME!" she kicked off a blue fiery buzzsaw to Sugarboy who sliced through it with his sword, making blue embers spread all over his body. He saw Zuko flipping through the air and when he hit the ground, he ejected a wave of fire that sped to Sugarboy. He managed to leap up over them with a smirk on his face and he hummed as well.
"Over here!" Gray yelled as he made his grappling hooks shatter and he fell down towards Sugarboy. "Ice-Make: Death Scythe!" he formed a large scythe of ice from his hands and he slammed it down on Sugarboy who blocked it with his sword. Gray was surprised when he could see his ice scythe melting into water. "Guh huh?!"
"Mm-mm!" Sugarboy hummed. As he took an elegant stance as the water was falling around him. "Cold…? Ah… Ice magic, I see."
Gray stood beside Zuko and Azula with what was left of his ice scythe. "What the hell?"
"Hmm… It looks like I have the advantage here. This weapon, the Rosa Espada, can soften anything!"
"Is that so?" Zuko asked. He sped over to Sugarboy and when he got close, the pink knight avoided his flames and when Zuko forced a wave of fire forward, ahead of him. Sugarboy had backflipped over them. After this, he saw a fast beam of blue flames that was heading to him. He elegantly bent down and watched the flames fly over him.
"Hmm…" he hummed to himself. "Your flames are blue," he noted, pointing his sword at Azula. "What makes them so different?" he calmly asked.
"Because I'm the strongest Firebender, that's why." she proudly remarked. "My flames are so strong that they transcend anyone elses'!"
"Aren't Chun's pink flames stronger than yours?" Gray asked with a smirk.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" she exclaimed, her head comically growing big with a rage tick on the side of her head.
…
Meanwhile, the coasters were speeding all over the park. Hughes could see Hen banging on his coaster. "C'mon! I'm not even close to hurling yet!"
Hughes growled to himself. "Then how do you like this!?" suddenly the three coasters were on a collision course with each other. "You'll die in a twisted wreckage!"
"Oh boy!" Hen exclaimed, he then saw a clump of rocks on the ground. He made a few of them levitate to his hands. "Ok this better work!" he made two, small lava stars which spun and cut his shoulder restraints. He leaped onto the hood of the coaster and he sent his lava stars to both Sokka and Lucy's coasters. Their restraints were cut. "Ok you two, we're going to jump!?"
"What?!" Sokka exclaimed.
"Are you crazy!?" Lucy asked.
"You both know the answer to that question! Now JUMP!" all three of them quickly leaped off their coasters and towards each other. Their coasters crashed into each other, making a tremendous explosion.
"AHAHAHA!" Hughes was laughing. "Look at you, now you're going to fall to your deaths."
Hen held onto Lucy and Sokka as they were falling. "I didn't think this through!"
Lucy had one of her keys in her hand. "Gate of the Twins I open thee, Gemini!" a doorbell sound was heard and both Gem and Mini appeared beside the falling trio.
"You summoned us… Piri?" They both asked.
"Gemini, transform into Hen and cushion our fall!" they touched their digits together and after a puff of smoke, they transformed to look exactly like Hen. Gemini Hen fell below the three and landed in a shallow lake. He then threw his fists in the air, making a ramp.
Hen eyes the ramp and he smirked. "Oh yeah… that'll work!" he fell at an angle and his feet were grinding on the ramp and he made rocks below his feet that made friction to slow the three of them down. But he tripped and the three of them splashed into the water.
After they fell, Hughes continued to laugh at them from the safety of a wooden dock. "Oh man, seeing you three struggle was great!"
Hen got up and saw Gemini Hen. "How did you turn into me? Also damn do I look good or what?!"
"Definitely an 'or what'..." Lucy muttered.
Gemini-Hen walked to Lucy. "Did I do good, master?"
"Ah, yeah you did!" they transformed to their original forms and were covered in golden light before disappearing. "She eyed Hen. That's Gemini, they can transform into anyone and use the same magic or skills as that person!"
"Ah that's so cool, do you have any idea the number of games we could play with people!?"
"Excuse me!" Sokka exclaimed. "But don't we have more important things to deal with!?" he asked as they eyed a laughing Hughes.
"Did you like that? That was a taste of Edolas magic!" Hughes bragged as there were butterflies made of rainbow light fluttering around them, and around the building that had large vines and flowers over it. "The idea of such wonderful magic disappearing soon… Don't even wanna think about it, y'know?" there were fish-shaped energy outlines that were floating around the water with bubbles accompanying them.
Hen stretched his neck. "Really? Even though your magic is fueled by turning people into magic crystals?" Hughes was thinking about what Hen was saying. "You plan on killing our friends and the Exceeds… all so you can have this?!"
"That's right," Hughes replied with a confident smirk. "They're a sacrifice for obtaining everlasting magic power."
Hen tightened his fist. "'Sacrifice' you say. I don't think you understand the gravity of what you're doing! How would you like it if you were turned into a crystal and killed just for the sake of 'everlasting magic'?!"
"Hmm...?"
"Don't know about you, but I'm not going to let a couple of psychos kill my friends just so they can have magic without compromise. You're all sick you know that?"
"Heh, and why should I care?" he questioned, still not taking the situation seriously. "You and those… others don't know what it's like to not have any magic. But for us… we need this magic, and you'd just take it away?"
"Alright, I've heard enough of your crap! You and me, let's go you jerk!" there were four pillars that rose from the water and they were melting into lava as Hen made two big lava stars that were floating next to him. "Because after what you've been saying. I don't think I'll feel bad about melting your damn face off!"
"Hah." his wand was glowing. "You think so, bring it on dirty boy!"
Sokka whispered into Lucy's ear. "I've got a plan, we've got to find some way of getting that wand away from him. It controls the entire theme park, the sooner we do that, the sooner we help the others and take out Zong." Lucy nodded, as Hen sped towards Hughes by himself. The Edolas mage smirked as his wand was glowing.
…
There were lances of ice that were speeding to Sugarboy but he softened them into water by making a slicing motion with his sword. He winked at the trio, he managed to narrowly avoid Azula who went in with a fiery kick. When she was close she swung her arms and generated a sharp blast of fire which Sugarboy bent under to avoid them while humming to himself.
Though he was hit with a thick fire whip by Zuko and he was forced back. "I figured you out!" he said. "That sword may work with softening solid objects, but fire isn't solid. You can't soften that can you!?"
He recovered and he only eyed the trio and he hummed again. "I must commend you for discovering one of my few weaknesses." he could see Azula firing a bolt of lightning to him and he leaped over it. "Fire and Lightning. Impressive."
…
Elsewhere within the park, there was an explosion in one of the brightly lit streets. Zong landed hard on his feet, forcing cracks through the floor, and he saw Natsu speeding down to him with his whole body on fire. Zong made a line of jagged pillars in Natsu's path which created a dust cloud after he crashed into them. Natsu had some open wounds on his arm due to the sharpness of the rocks that he hit. When the dust cleared, Zong was right to his side.
"That wasn't very smart." he then engulfed Natsu in a sphere of air and the Dragon Slayer could feel the air being sucked out of him. "Relax, I'm not going to kill you… yet. It wouldn't be fun!"
"NATSU!" he could see Lisanna, still in her Cat form speeding to him.
"You want him so bad, here he is!" he tossed Natsu to Lisanna and they clattered into each other. Though there was a rocky pillar that struck him in his back and after he stumbled forward, there was a water whip that flung him in the opposite direction. He slid into a building, back first and he saw Aang and Katara in front of him. The waterbender had made globs of water cover Zong's wrists and froze them, keeping him restrained to the wall.
After he was trapped Aang started to fling rapid pebbles to him, pelting him over and over which were enough to send him through the wall he was attached to. After he was limp on the other side, Katara saw his finger twitch and she glared angrily at him. She made a whip lift him up off his back. "Natsu, Lisanna! Catch!" Zong was tossed to the waiting pair and his momentum was stopped by Natsu's flaming elbow. His eyes were still closed as he was hit, but he opened them and he chuckled. Natsu struck him again, making him step back. Then Lisanna sped to him and was scratching him over and over again, her claws actually making a large tear in the top half of his outfit. When she went for another attack, she was forced back by a burst of air. Though she remained on her feet and watched Natsu speeding to him.
"Fire Dragon's Roar!" the flames sped to Zong which he was able to make form a ring around him.
"Nice try-" though he saw Natsu didn't stop his advances and Aang made the ring of Natsu's flames close in on Zong, making an explosion. And through the black smoke, a pair of glowing eyes could be seen along with a growl. Natsu threw a powerful punch to Zong's stomach, actually forcing the Dark Avatar to his knees. There were even drops of blood he was coughing out. As the four slowly approached, surrounding him on all sides they saw a smirk on his face despite the line of blood dripping from his mouth. "Yeah… that's more like it." he fully stood up. "Come on! Hit me, hurt me as much as you want! The pain only turns me on even more!"
They were all disturbed by the words that came from his mouth. Lisanna shivered to herself. "D-Did he just say it 'turns him on?'"
"Okay… that's a pretty creepy thing to say…" Natsu added.
There was an air-sphere surrounding him, and the winds that were spreading out felt sharp. "You say creepy, I say euphoric!" Aang made a line of earth with cutting air in front of it. Zong cartwheeled out of his air sphere and let the earth wave pass him. But he could see Katara running on top of it, with water surrounding her arms and going across her back. It extended into a long water whip which Zong managed to avoid. She then made the water around her, snake underneath Zong and it expanded into sharp ice shards that ejected outwards, impaling his arms, leaking blood from them. He then surrounded his arms in a fire which melted the ice instantly. He then fired sharp jabs of fire at Katara. She quickly made water from a nearby fountain douse the flames that sped to her. She then forced a water drill to speed to Zong at high pressure. The Dark Avatar stretched his hand forward making an explosive burst of air which exploded the water drill, and the ejected water rained around them. "Oooh, not bad. You're pretty talented for a Waterbender. You'd probably be stronger than any water bender in my world at the very least."
"Am I supposed to be flattered by you?!"
"You should be. Cause you're still not in my league." Zong swung his arms and there were large whips of water that were around him. He shot them to Katara who managed to force the blast upwards. Though Zong smirked as he forced the water down all over her and froze her solid inside the mass of ice. "Begone!" Zong threw a fist forward and a line of earth sped through the mass of ice, flinging Katara far across the floor. She slid to a stop and she could see huge masses of icy shards above her. They fell down to her but before they could land, they were all cut up into smaller, harmless shards.
Lisanna protectively stood in front of Katara. "Are you ok?" she asked, helping Katara up to her feet.
"Ow… I think."
Before Zong could strike the two girls, Aang in an air sphere steamrolled into Zong and he was taking the both of them straight into Natsu. "Fire Dragon's Sword Edge!" While engulfed in flames he headbutted Zong while Aang's air sphere kept the pressure from the other side.
After Zong was caught in the double attack, Aang hand-sprung back to his feet, and Natsu slid back. They both watched Zong wobble on his feet. "Very good… haha."
"You're crazy!" Aang exclaimed.
"I'd argue your entire crew is. I mean, why are you so intent on protecting this world? I mean, I get that you wanna save your friends that got turned into Lacrima, but why save Edolas when they've caused you nothing but pain? If I were in your shoes, I'd let them be resigned to their fate, both Human and Exceed." As he spoke, Katara and Lisanna joined them.
Natsu glared at him and there were lines of fire that were leaking off him. "And who the hell made you judge?!"
Zong casually shrugged. "Same reason Aang is a judge," he said pointing at him. "You know what I'm talking about, don't you Aang?" he fashioned a glare at Zong. "We're the Avatars, we might have different spirits inside us, but being one with the likes of Vaatu or Raava enables us to look down with a different perspective than most mortal beings. We remember the events of our past incarnations, even those that lived hundreds or even thousands of years before us. That yields a deeper understanding, right? Wisdom. The wisdom that as the Avatars of our respective worlds, we make the choice on the fates of those who live their mortal lives. We literally control the world through our power, and I don't just mean our bending!"
"That may be true, but should use that deeper understanding to help people!" Aang countered. "We have all this wisdom on our shoulders, it's just cruel to use it to just destroy everything! Nobody has the right to determine who lives or dies, or decide the fate of entire worlds!"
Zong was picking out of his ear as Aang spoke. "Does that include Edolas? Look at what these people have done to their world. In fact, just ask her." he gestured to Lisanna. "You've seen it, haven't you? The King and his goons are so desperate to get every drop of power, they'll commit massacres for it - or hire me to do it. The Exceeds are no different, they hog all their power for themselves, thinking they're above the humans when people of Edolas have just proven that with Code ETD - Exceed's Total Destruction, that they can and will strike back at them." the others only eyed him with anger and even slight fear. "And before you go on about how they 'got the potential for good' or whatever, let me explain to you how wrong you are!
The people of Edolas have the ability to travel to Earth Land via the Anima where magic is supposedly limitless there, so they could have easily gone and asked them for help. But no, their first thought was to steal that power for themselves. Likewise, the Exceeds say they got most of this world's magic, they could have just as easily shared it, but no, they keep it all for themselves. What exactly does that tell you?"
"I don't like the Exceeds either." Lisanna started. "But if Happy is an Exceed, then there must be other good Exceeds up there! Some that might not like what they have been doing!"
"You're one to talk about how the people of Edolas should act," Katara said. "You're just like the rest of them. You go around killing people for fun! The King has our friends trapped and wants to kill them too by sucking their magic! You're both ending lives to me!"
Zong looked disappointed as he looked at his counterpart. "And what say you, Aang? Going to join the hive mind of 'all lives are worth saving' even though they clearly aren't."
"I don't need to say anything to you," Aang said. "You're my opposite so I hardly think I can convince you to see things our way. But I'll say this, we won't stop fighting if there are people hurting innocent lives, whether it is you, or the King."
The Dark Avatar sighed. "I see, so that's how it is. You and I might be the same, Aang. But it doesn't look like we'll ever be able to understand each other, will we?" there was a ring of fire that formed around Zong and it rose high.
"No, I don't think we will," Aang said as his air sphere returned, the rest of the group got ready to fight.
"That's fine. I'd much rather kill you anyway." He made the ring of fire expand far, pushing the heroes back, accept Natsu who ate the flames in front of him. His fists clenched, showing his veins and his eyes glared right at Zong.
Natsu roared as he sped to Zong, his fire surrounding his body as he went for a punch. Zong had rocks covering his arms and they grew spiky.
"Come get it! Dragon Slayer!"
…
Hughes meanwhile was managing to evade the lava stars as he was running around the wooden pier above the water. He could see Hen making a wave of lava that he rode on, about to run him over. Hughes leaped out of the way as he saw Hen's lava destroying a part of the pier he once stood on. He saw Hen climb out of the river with his lava stars surrounding him.
"Whoa… that's pretty cool, you know!" Hughes said.
"Yeah… unfortunately, I'm not in the mood to impress you right now!"
They heard an explosion in the air, making each of them look up to see both Natsu and Aang clashing with Zong in an aerial battle. Zong was keeping himself afloat with flame jets beneath his feet. Natsu did the same and Aang had his air sphere covering him.
"Aang, Natsu!?" Sokka exclaimed.
"Zong!" Hughes angrily glared at the Dark Avatar.
Lucy suddenly had an idea. "Hen, Sokka get down!" she warned as she took out one of her gold keys. "Gate of the Water Bearer, I open thee! Aquarius!" Aquarius appeared in a flash of golden light, already with water swirling around her. "UP THERE! Attack him, Aquarius!" she saw Lucy pointing up at Zong who had just knocked down Natsu and Aang out of the sky.
"Yeah… I know," she said with a bored expression. She swung her urn and manipulated all the water in the lake area to surge all at once to Zong.
The Dark Avatar saw this speeding to him and groaned. "You're joking, right?" he outstretched his hand, and the surge of water spun around him in a tremendous water ring that crashed waves as it spun around him. "Alright, who's responsible for this?" he saw Lucy standing with Aquarius, and Sokka, the girl was shivering to herself after seeing Zong catch the attack.
"Lucy… what the hell is that guy?" Aquarius nervously asked after seeing her water get caught effortlessly.
"That's now twice you thought you could take me on. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you blondie?" there were lines of water that were combining with Zong's water ring to make it even bigger. Water was even flowing out from Aquarius's urn to make Zong's water ring bigger.
"H-He's controlling all the water!?" the spirit said with shivering eyes
The ring was so large that it cast a large, circular shadow all over E-Land which everyone could see. "You just made this super easy for me! HAH!" he made the water shoot straight down into the center of E-Land which made a tremendous wave of water that crashed in all directions. And everyone was in the range of it.
Everyone excluding Zong was washed away by the waves that he made, seemingly leaving him to be the last one standing as he towered over a drenched E-Land hearing nothing below him. "All in a day's work."
At the Royal Edolas Castle, Byro's sick laugh was heard as he stepped to his King that was on a balcony that overlooked the kingdom. "Your majesty… Everything is now in place. Code ETD is now in its final stage." Faust had extended his hands upwards after hearing this information as he looked up at the floating island that had the Exceed's kingdom on top of it.
With his plan coming together he looked up with sheer confidence, though his ever-present scowl remained. "Farewell… Gods!"
Byro laughed let again. "The magic power I extracted from the Dragon Slayers… Think of it as an enormous 'chain' for controlling the floating islands as you please. All we need to do is take a floating island that's under our control - that lacrima, in this case - and crash it into the accursed feline realm. This will result in a fusion of magical energy which will rain everlasting magic power upon our kingdom."
They both were then seen walking down some stairs to a large room with a couple of dragon runes all over it. Two, gray statues of Faust's face were seen in the large room. "The Dragon Chain Cannon is almost ready," Byro said. "With it was can use this to release the Dragon Slayer's power." he held a large key with a dragon's face on it and was about to hand it to King Faust. "Now, then, Your Majesty. Please take the Dragon Chain Cannon's activation key…"
"Your Majesty!" a pair of bare feet was running into the room that was revealed to be Coco, and she slid to a stop before Byro and Faust, making them turn around. "Please wait!"
"Come now, Coco!" Byro chastised. "How many times have I told you not to run about in His Majesty's presence?!"
"Please stop! Lily is on that Lacrima Island!" Coco pleaded, forcing Faust to draw his glare onto her.
...
On the said Lacrima island. Pantherlily had kept his promise to only fight on the ground, as he swung his large sword down on Gajeel's Iron Pillar, making sparks rain all over.
"Gihi!" Gajeel laughed as he smirked. "You're pretty good!"
"So this is Earth Land magic? Quite interesting," he noted as he reeled his sword back.
Toph cracked her knuckles. "If you think that's good, you've seen nothing yet." she shifted her feet making a simple pillar head to Pantherlily's side, he predictably dodged this and she listened out for where he might be in the air. "Found ya!" she fired rectangular rock-shaped prisms at Pantherlily who swung his large sword, deflecting them away from him. He landed back on the island.
"Hmm… impressive. You must have trained your other senses pretty well to compensate for your lack of sight. For someone so young, you're a talented fighter." he complimented.
"I'm flattered, you know you're like the first enemy I actually don't want to completely destroy. You seem alright, cat."
Gajeel chuckled. "You're right, little brat. I haven't had competition like this in a while!"
Happy hovered in between them. "This is no time for amusement! Just hurry up and beat him!"
The Iron Dragon Slayer laughed. "Whatever you say, You're the Salamander's cat and all!" Pantherlily's sword changed appearance and the blade looked to have retreated into its large hilt.
"Magic power transformation complete!" the red eyes on his hilt shone a new sword that looked to be forming in bright yellow energy. The light fade revealing the same double-edged sword only it looked newer. "Busterman, redeploy!" his sword shone in the bright light as he hovered above the trio
"Alright, what are we looking at?" Toph asked.
"He's just changed his sword. And it's pretty damn huge!" Gajeel said, still with a confident grin.
"Aye!" Happy said. "If we say 1 Pantherlily is 1 Panther in length, then it's 4 Panthers long!" He thought up a visual representation featuring a crudely drawn Pantherlily next to his sword which dwarfed his height 3 to 1.
"WHO CARES ABOUT THAT!?" Toph and Gajeel exclaimed. They were interrupted when Pantherlily's sword swung onto the island taking chunks of the land with it. They dodged it but they were separated.
"You must be quite confident of yourself, playing in the middle of a battle." the land stopped falling and it instead floated in the air.
It broke into smaller shards and they all pointed to Pantherlily. "Who said anything about playing huh!?" the smaller rocks were pelting Pantherlily, and they were bouncing off his body and armor before he used the bulk of his sword to block them. There was a larger chunk heading for him and he sliced it in two.
"Huh, that sword's not just big. The guy wielding it is skilled too." Gajeel noted.
"I'll turn you into rust on my great sword, the Bustermarm! Earth Land Wizards."
Toph pointed to him. "You hear that Gajeel, he thinks he's got a chance." she chuckled.
"That's too bad, I think rust is beautiful," he said with a shrug.
"Aye, since you're made of iron and all!" Happy commented.
Pantherlily looked down at the pair of them. "Are you ready!?"
"Like you even have to ask!" Toph replied.
"Gihi! Come at us!" Gajeel challenged.
Pantherlily shot down towards the trio, and Toph and Gajeel prepared for another earth-shattering clash.
…
Deep in the castle, Coco was still trying to convince the King to not go through with his plan to keep Pantherlily safe. "Please! You'll take out Lily too if you execute the plan right now!" the girl pleaded.
The King glared down at her and after a short silence, he gave his reply to her. "So what?" he slowly asked, the response made Coco step back in fear.
"B-but… H-he's one of us…!"
Byro stepped forward. "Coco. You know that sacrifices for the greater good are to be expected."
"But…" she started flailing her arms as she cried. "I don't want Lily to die!"
"Who cares what happens to that has-been Exceed?!" he exclaimed.
"No! You can't do this!" she did the unthinkable and grabbed the key from Byro's grip and took off to try and leave the room. "I won't let you!"
"Hey! What are you doing!"
A very angry Faust had made his scepter power up with bright yellow electrical energy. "Coco!" he fired the electrical blast which tripped up the girl as the attack was aimed at her feet. "You have always loved to run." Coco struggled as her feet going up her ankles were screaming in pain. The burn marks left rising smoke off of them. "And I always loved seeing you run around with such exuberance." he continued, still with a furious expression. He rose the scepter again and he callously electrocuted her feet again, forcing another pained scream from the young girl. An absolutely heinous act even made Byro cringe. She slowly rose to her pained feet after she eyed the gruesome king. She knew she needed to buy more time for Pantherlily, and she had to take the key if the King wasn't going to wait.
Despite the pain from her feet, she ignored it and did what she was best at - Running. "Coco!" the king exclaimed, he aimed his scepter but it was useless since it was out of magical power. "Byro! After her! At once!" Byro had flinched as the king yelled at him.
"Y-Yes!"
Coco continued sprinting through the halls of the castle and was trying to ignore the pain in her feet. "It Hurts! It Hurts! Running has never been this painful before! I want everlasting Magic too… but I don't want Lily to die! What do I do?! What do I do?!"
Inside of a creepy building that read, 'Monster Academy'. There was creepy laughter that filled the halls. Hen coughed out some water that was in his throat and he found himself being held in the open hands of a large Frankenstein-like monster in what looked like a school uniform.
"Ugh… what the… I didn't drown? And where am I?"
"Ow…" Hen looked down to see Sokka sitting at what appeared to be a student desk, the other desks were filled with what looked like monsters of different creatures all in the same blue-themed uniform. "Where are we?" Sokka asked as he eyed a red textbook in front of him.
The chairs and desks were oversized, as the monsters towered over them.
"I dunno, Zong tried to waste everyone and I guess we're here now." he leaped off the monster's hand and landed on the ground. "Ignoring all the creeps in here, any idea where Lucy is?"
They heard a knocking sound and their attention was directed to a standing coffin near the front of the classroom. There was knocking coming from the inside. "Hen! Are you out there!?"
"Wait… is that Lucy?"
"Where the hell am I? And why am I stuck in here with Lucy?!" they heard Azula voice too from inside the coffin.
Sokka and Hen quickly approached the coffin. "Wait… you're in there too Azula?"
"Of course, idiot! Where else would I be?!" she exclaimed from inside the coffin, making it move around. "Now let me out of here! I can't breathe with this idiot hogging all the oxygen!"
"LISTEN YOU-!" Lucy exclaimed. "You think I wanted to get stuck in here with you!?" the coffin continued to shake as rage ticks and yellow stars were shooting out from the closed coffin.
"Might I remind you who's fault it is we're in this mess right now! I saw what you did! You decided to get cute and attack someone who is one-fourth Waterbender… with a water spirit. How dumb are you, really? And I wasn't even mixed with your group, to begin with!"
"Will you knock it off!? I can barely move in here."
"And who's fault is that? Your heavy body takes up two-thirds of this thing!"
"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?!"
Sokka and Hen were chuckling on the outside. "I'm almost tempted to leave you two in there, hearing you two argue so much is a riot!"
"HEN!" both girls exclaimed.
"I said almost!" he threw the door open. And as soon as he did, his cheeks were turning red. "Whoa…"
"Um…" Sokka muttered.
They both saw Azula and Lucy in matching, red genie outfits. "Whoa… what kind of clothes did you two find?" Hen asked.
Both girls eyed their appearances and they stepped back in shock.
"Wha…?!" Lucy exclaimed.
"WHO PUT ME IN THIS!?" Azula furiously yelled.
They saw Sokka read the sign that was on the door of the coffin. "'Complete Transformation Actor Box? Let's visit the land of fairy tales with some wonderful transformations!' Oh, there's a dial on the side?"
"Fairy tales… more like a never-ending nightmare…" Azula muttered. "It looks like this thing is meant to change our clothes… you'd think if these Edolans are starved for magic, they'd use it for more practical uses." she then eyed Lucy. "Move it blondie, I'm going back to normal first!"
"Huh? Why do you get to go first!?" Lucy asked as she remained standing in the coffin.
"I'm more powerful than you, I outrank you!" Azula said.
"No way! No one cares about your royalty here!" Lucy retorted.
Hen hummed to himself and he pushed Azula inside, stuffing her with Lucy and he shut the door.
"HEY!" they both exclaimed.
He giggled to himself as he approached the dial. "You do know they are both going to kill you for this, right?"
"Haha, maybe… but we're not going to get a better chance than now to enjoy this!"
He turned the dial and the coffin was surrounded in a purple aura as the eyes of the skull flashed brightly.
The two girls went through a host of costume changes including them in sexy matching bunny suits, kimonos that were orange for Lucy and blue for Azula. Then the both of them were in matching dark blue swimsuits complete with inner-tubes. And their hair was even braided.
Azula leaped out of the coffin, she trapped both boys with her inner-tube and was strangling both of them. "YOU'RE BOTH DEAD! YOU HEAR ME!?"
They could hear footsteps coming from the hall outside of the closed door. "Where'd you go, you lousy Earth Land wizards?" The voice sounded like Hughes and his footsteps were getting louder. Azula let the boys go after they heard him approaching.
Hen turned to Sokka and he had an evil smirk. "Hey, Sokka are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
Sokka had an expression to mirror Hen's. "That we know a way to beat this guy? You bet!" they glanced at both of the girls with evil expressions.
Hughes was walking through the halls which had spiked walls, and, oddly enough a stone statue of Faust's head. "Man, they got crazy far. Earth Land wizards are always so over-the-top with every little thing…" he remembered that Zong had shot that wave of water that engulfed all of them as he entered the room. "That damn Zong, when I find him I'm gonna-"
"Hi!" he heard Lucy in a sing-song voice She along with Azula were seductively sitting on the stage in the front of the classroom posing for Hughes. They were both in attractive swimsuits that showed off their cleavage and stomach, they both had bangles and arm bracelets, and ankle bracelets. Lucy's hair was tied in twin ponytails that pointed down while Azula's hair was loose. Lucy's outfit was aqua green with yellow accents while Azula's what red with white accents. "Studmuffin!" Lucy sang.
"If you let us go, we'll make it really worth your while." Azula gave a flirty wink to Hughes.
He eyed the two girls, yet oddly enough, there were no blushes on his cheeks and he simply raised his wand which shone bright yellow. Suddenly the monsters that were sitting in the class had gotten up from their seats and they were growling at the two girls.
Lucy panicked and Azula was growling angrily as blue fire surrounded her body.
Hen and Sokka's eyes were white as their mouths were agape. "IT DIDN'T WORK!" they both exclaimed.
The girls were running from the large monsters that were chasing them. "I shouldn't have agreed to this!" Lucy exclaimed.
Azula still had blue flames comically surrounding her. "HEN! SOKKA! IF WE SURVIVE THIS, I"M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR TALKING ME INTO THIS!"
The pair were chased away, leaving Hen and Sokka behind. Hughes held his wand as his Frankenstein golem stood behind him. "This is the Monster Academy! An attraction that gives you a peek into the school life of monsters!"
"Y-you think those two aren't his type!" Sokka asked.
"THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE HERE!" Azula exclaimed, still being chased along with Lucy.
"How did it not work…?"
Hen had a thought and he placed his fist onto his palm. "Whoa… this just popped up. What if he's not into girls?"
Sokka was thinking about Hen's question and he was momentarily confused about but he eyed Hughes who stood two desks away from them. "Either way… looks like we gotta fight the old-fashioned way."
Hughes kept his confident demeanor. "Huh? You're seriously going to fight me inside the Monster Academy? This is my favorite place you know!"
"Really?" Hen asked. "This place is pretty sweet, I gotta say."
"Speak for yourself," Sokka added. "Can we just hurry up and beat this guy!"
Hughes pulled out his wand. "Mummy Bandage!" a mummy Monster animated in front of Hughes and shot bandages that wrapped themselves around both Hen and Sokka. "In the Monster Academy! All the Monsters are my soldiers, pretty sweet isn't?"
Hen smirked as he moved his fingers and a stone turned into a sharp lava star and easily cut through the bindings that held both Sokka and himself. Once they were free, Hen stepped forward and threw a punch and a wave of earth sped to the mummy, but it turned into a lava wave and it burned right through the mummy, melting it.
"H-huh!? The lava again!?" Sokka leaped over to Hughes's desk and his sword was glowing. Hughes avoided the slice by ducking under and his wand shone again. "Franken Knuckle!"
The Frankenstein golem stood up and punched the desk Sokka stood on, completely destroying it. But he narrowly leaped out of the way. But the monster's attention turned to Hen and he sped to the Earth bender and his fist made contact with his body and he was flung to a rocky wall.
Hen recovered as he saw the golem slowly approaching. "Ha, is that all you go-" Hen was being punched relentlessly over again. Hen was being dug deeper into the wall as the monster kept punching over and over. Suddenly the monster's punch was caught as he could see Hen with large rocky gauntlets covering his arms, holding the monster's fist in place. "Ow… the hell is this thing anyway!" he melted the rocky knuckles and the lava was smoking. "My turn!" he leaped up and relentlessly punched the Frankenstein golem in the face as fast as it was punching him earlier. Bits and pieces were falling off the monster and Hen leaped up higher and he made more rocks clump with his arms to make his rocky gauntlets bigger and bigger. As they grew in size, the palms melted into lava. He then clapped both his hands on the head of the golem, completely shattering the head into melted pieces. The large, decapitated golem fell on its back in defeat.
Hen landed on the ground and he made the rocks fall from his hands. "Ok puppet master, what else ya got?"
Hughes glared at the Earthbender as his wand shone. "Monster Academy! To me!" he exclaimed.
…
Lucy and Azula continued running through the halls but the monsters suddenly stopped and turned around. After Azula noticed they weren't being chased anymore and stopped running. She saw that Lucy continued running while screaming. A drop of sweat fell down her face in annoyance. "Idiot…"
…
The monsters that were previously chasing Lucy and Azula assembled around Hughes. "Do you think you can defeat all these monsters!?"
Hen smirked. "Oh man… are you trying to make me happy? I love a fight! And it doesn't get better than crushing a bunch of dolls into dust… or ash!" Hen stomped hard on the ground and there were two large spheres of rocky clumps. "So Hughes… ever heard of a game called Hot Potato?" suddenly Hughes found his wand behind forced off his hand by a metal clang.
"Ow!" it slid in front of Hen, bringing a smirk to his lips.
Sokka caught his boomerang as it veered back to his hand. "That's what you get for not paying attention."
Hen stomped on the wand, shattering it to pieces. "And this is what you get for chasing away our girls!" He rolled his two large earth spheres to the monsters and the defenseless Hughes.
"NO! Monsters, protect me!"
The Monsters, being free of Hughes's will, stepped back in fear. They saw the large boulders melting into large fiery rocks with lava coating the outside. "Now catch this!" Hen rolled the spheres to the monsters and Hughes. The fiery boulders were crashing into the bodies of the monsters and they were speeding to Hughes.
…
Lucy continued running as tears were shooting from her eyes like sprinklers. "What's with you monsters?! Stay away!" she exclaimed as she ran right out of the doors of the Monster Academy.
"HEY!" she slid to a stop on her heels, and turned away and saw that the monsters weren't chasing her anymore, and instead saw Azula. She started to catch her breath after she stopped running. "The monsters stopped chasing us a while ago."
"HUH?!" Lucy gasped with wide eyes.
"I don't know who's the bigger idiot… you or Natsu!"
Before Lucy could reply, there were footsteps rushing towards them and the figure had crashed into Lucy, forcing the both of them to collaspe. They were both seeing stars as Lucy was rubbing her head and saw Coco lying on the ground in front of her.
"Who's this, now?" Azula asked while folding her arms.
"Wait… Azula, look at her feet. They look really messed up!"
Azula approached her charred feet. "Hmm, no mistaking it, these are burn wounds. Believe me, someone like me would know."
"Ow…" the smaller girl muttered. "I can't run anymore…"
"I'd say you were dumb for trying. What are you running from anyway?"
"Coco! HALT!" in the distance, they could see Byro sprinting over to them.
A sigh escaped from Azula's lips. "Of course…"
"Help me…" Coco weakly begged the two girls. "Wait… aren't they the ones from Earth Land? Then… I can't give them this…" tears began to leak from her eyes. "What do I do!?"
Byro caught up to her and he stopped running while giving a serious glare to all of them. "Hand over the key at once!"
Azula eyed the large key that Coco was holding. "That key… but-" she eyed the large dragon head symbol on it. "That key could be connected to the Dragon Slayers and what they did with their magic. But why does this girl have it?"
"Did you not hear me, Coco!? Give me the key!" Byro demanded a second time.
"Huh, key?" Lucy questioned. "Wh-why are you after my keys?!"
"Huh?" Byro mouthed before he saw Azula bonking the blonde on the head.
"Ow!"
"He's referring to that key, you dunce!" Azula mouthed as Lucy was rubbing her head. "But moving on," she eyed Byro. "Judging by your expression, I'd say this key is pretty crucial to your plan with the lacrima. In fact, I'd even say that you can't do a single thing without it right?" Byro clenched his fist and he was growling, but he remained silent, not wanting to divulge the importance of the key. But he was increasingly angry since Azula looked to have figured it out. And she stepped in front of Coco and Lucy while getting ready to battle. "That's all I needed to hear!"
Elsewhere around the amusement park, the music of the park was still going on from one of the many speakers around the park. And a figure was seen crashing them, instantly destroying them and making the music stop.
When the dust cleared, the figure was seen to be Aang and he was rubbing his head. "Ow…" he looked up to see Natsu leaping off the Ferris Wheel and to the large active volcano in the park where Zong was standing on the other side.
Meanwhile, the Dark Avatar was glaring at Natsu who stood on the other side of it. "Hmm, fighting on a volcano, I'd feel like this would be the prelude to a final battle but-"
"Keep talkin'! Cause I'm gonna end this now!" Natsu replied.
"Sure you will, but before you-" he saw Natsu speeding to him, leaping across the volcano. Zong ducked underneath his fist. And once he was under him, he threw his feet into the Dragon Slayers chest, sending him flying into the air. There were three large boulders that crashed into Natsu the moment he was in the air. "Impatient fool. Oh, Aang… you want to come up here for a spell? Natsu is boring me!"
Aang glared at Zong he magnetized rocks to his body and once they covered his body, he leaped up to meet Zong. Both their fists connected near the top of the volcano and Zong was pushed off his feet. Aang then made a wave of earth move behind Zong, pushing the Dark Avatar towards him. Once Aang saw him coming, he threw two palms into Zong, making him fly into the air with a grunt. Aang wasn't finished because he started peppering Zong with sharp rocks from his earth armor that he threw around his body.
As Zong was being held in the air by the relentless attack, he was cracked in the back as Natsu headbutted him while covered in flames. He flew down back towards Aang who made a released all his rock armor and made a circular shield in front of him and he shot it to Zong and Natsu.
As the pair were falling towards it, Zong took the brunt of the damage as Natsu continued to push down on him. The pair crashed into the side of the volcano with Natsu leaping back. Aang stood next to him as they waited for Zong's next move.
Watching from the air was Lisanna in her Harpy Take Over, she was holding Katara as well. "Wow…" Lisanna breathed. "Do they always work together that well?"
Katara giggled. "Pretty much. They are the two in the guild we can always rely on."
Zong crawled out of the hole and he was panting as there were scratches and cuts on his body. "Damn, you two really know how to show a guy a really good time! I don't know what I like more actually. Massacring thousands of powerless wizards, or warming up with you two?" Aang and Natsu were shocked, and so were the girls who heard this conversation. "Oh, you thought I was fighting at my full power?" he started to laugh to himself, almost mimicking Aang's laugh. "Oh, you guys are real killer you know. But since you've been so nice to me, I'll give you a taste of what I am like at my full power!"
He shut his eyes and the red forks on his body were shining reddish-orange and his eyes were covered in the same glow. The ground all over them was shaking and there were raging winds that were blowing all over the area. Zong pointed his single finger into the air and lightning shot up from it into the sky. Even the lava inside the E-Land volcano was beginning to bubble and there was a tremendous eruption as they could see a huge pillar of lava shooting into the air, generating a huge amount of smoke which the raging air was clearing up.
"What do you think?" he said in a fusion of his and Vaatu's voice. "Huh?" he could see that despite his display of power, there were raging torrents of fire that were surrounding Natsu. The pressure was even pushing The Dragon Slayer further down into the ground.
Natsu was giving him a furious glare and he let out a fearsome roar to rival that of a dragon's. Everyone could see a roaring Igneel within the tremendous flames.
Lisanna smiled to herself as she hadn't seen Natsu generate so much fire, and just seeing him in action again after two years just filled her with glee. "Go get 'em, Natsu," she muttered to herself.
Zong looked at this and he was beyond excited. "HAHA! YES!" he exclaimed in his regular voice. "This is the power of a Dragon Slayer?!" he heard Natsu's roar again. "Wow… I'm actually sweating here…! So… are we gonna do this, or what!?"
Natsu shot towards Zong with Aang following. Zong chuckled and he leaped to his two adversaries. They clashed in the air near the volcano which made a tremendous burst of energy that rocked the entire park in a loud boom.
On the floating Lacrima island, Pantherlily was flying down to Gajeel and Toph with his large sword. He missed Gajeel and he knew Toph was to his right and he blindly swung his sword at her.
"CRAP!" Toph panicked as she made a very thick wall that blocked the sword, which protected both her and the lacrima. Pantherlily struck the thick rock slab so hard that his sword was stuck, making Toph perk up. "Get 'im Metalhead!" the Exceed saw Gajeel in the air falling down towards him with a smirk aiming to land a punch. He leaped back away from his sword making Gajeel punch the ground. But Pantherlily sped back to Gajeel who blocked his elbow strike.
"Heh, you're not so bad, huh, cat!" Gajeel said with his usual smirk.
Happy watched the battle from a distance. "Toph and Gajeel are fighting as hard as they can… Natsu, Lucy, Aang, Carla. I hope you guys are all right."
However, Pantherlily got his sword back and struck the ground hard, making Toph and Gajeel leap into the air. "What are we gonna do!?" Happy cried while his eyes were replaced with white circles. "He has us stuck on the defensive!"
"Hehe, that's just how I like it!" Gajeel chuckled.
"I can't let that comment pass," Pantherlily said as he was high over them.
"ABOVE US!" Toph exclaimed as Gajeel blocked his sword strike with his iron pillar arm, making sparks fly. Happy seen flying back to the lacrima, becoming flat as soon as he hit it.
When Toph landed on the ground she shifted her foot slightly as Gajeel stood next to her. Pantherlily eyed the both of them. "Looking away while fighting me… You take me too lightly."
"I ain't takin' nothing lightly. I just wanna savor your strength." Gajeel replied.
"Yeah… when else are we going to say: 'We took on a muscle head, talking cat with the longest sword ever.'!" Toph said.
"You two are crazy!" Happy exclaimed. "You have to beat him quickly!"
"Hey, you keep getting the way!" Gajeel said yelling at Happy.
"Just stay in your lane, or we'll take care of you first!" Toph exclaimed.
Happy saw both Toph and Happy angrily glancing at the blue cat. "You two are so mean, you know that…" he muttered with a large drop of sweat next to him.
Toph pointed at Pantherlily. "You listen up, we're going bash your hide all over this island you hear!"
"That's right!" Gajeel agreed. "The comedy routine ends here!"
Back in E-Land; Lucy, Azula, Coco, and Byro looked to the sky to see the massive battle between Aang, Natsu, and Zong. "Hmm… Zong is putting up quite a fight…" Byro muttered.
Azula glanced back at Lucy. "The Avatar and Natsu can fight their own battles, we still have this old man to deal with!"
"Hand over the key, this instant!" Byro's unsettling voice creeped Lucy out as his glare was fixed on the three girls.
Lucy shivered to herself. "Oh, man… there it is! That perverted look!"
Azula had blue fire leaking off her hands. "Quit standing there and summon something! The faster we defeat this old man, the sooner we can deal with this!" her head tilted to Coco.
Lucy had one of her keys in front of her. "Gate of the Golden Bull, I summon thee! Taurus!" bursting out from the ground was Taurus, with his axe on his back and he exclaimed a loud: 'MOO!'
He immediately turned to the two girls with hearts replacing his eyes. "That outfit is the best, Lucy!" there was even drool dripping from his mouth as hearts surrounded him. "And who's your friend!" he eyed Azula who looked visibly creeped out.
A large bead of sweat fell down's Lucy's back as she recoiled back after Taurus's advances. "Do you know how to make a proper entrance?"
Byro was shocked at the magic he was seeing. "What in blazes?! A cow?!"
Coco was also in shock. "That's Earth Land magic… but he seems, kind of perverted."
"Where the hell are you finding these spirits!?" Azula yelled to Lucy. "Surely you have someone more useful than perverted cow over here!?"
"Do you ever have anything nice to say!?" Lucy argued back, glaring at the fire bender.
"I might when you actually prove yourself useful! Seriously, it's your fault we all got split off in the first place!"
"You can't put all of this on me!?"
"I can and I will! You're lucky I don't put you down, myself!"
"I dare you to try! Natsu won't allow it!"
"Then I'll put him down too!"
Coco had a drop of sweat falling to her side as she eyed the two girls. "They are arguing before a fight?"
Taurus held his ax as he furiously eyed Byro. "You still owe me my rewards from earlier!" he told Lucy.
"I'll think it over if you knock is lights out!" Lucy confidently replied while holding up her key.
Excited about the prospect of a reward from Lucy, he leaped up into the air while spinning his ax. "Lights out!" he slammed his ax into the ground, making the ground break up around Byro who leaped out of the way.
"He's surprisingly quick!" Byro said.
"Hold still so I can knock your lights out!"
"How did she do that!?" Byro thought. "She summoned something out of nothing! I can't figure it out! How?!" '
Taurus leaped up. "It's Lights Out time!"
Byro had a tiny beaker that he uncorked. "Impudent fool!" he threw drops of red liquid were flying to Taurus, they rained onto his body.
"Huh?"
Suddenly Taurus was engulfed in tremendous fire. "Flame Liquid!"
"AHHH!"
Taurus was taken down by the flames and he lay down as the flames faded. "Watch out for his liquids!" Coco exclaimed.
"Ugh… now you warn us!" Azula exclaimed. "Screw this, I'm ending it now!"
"Back off!" Byro threw more of his Flame Liquid to her, and when Azula recognized the red liquid, she smirked as the flames exploded around her.
"Azula!" Lucy panicked, but she and Coco saw the flames opening like a curtain.
"Really…?" she looked unimpressed. "You call that fire?" she had blue flames raging around her hands. "This is fire!" she shot a stream of blue fire that Byro avoided.
"You brat!" he threw a dark blue-colored liquid at her, it turned to lightning and it burst the ground around her. "Storm Liquid!" He exclaimed and Azula screamed as she was forced back.
"Oh man… what do we do?" Lucy said before a blur sped past which shocked and confused her. Byro was suddenly kicked in the face by Katara who had Lisanna flying her into him.
Once the old man slid back, Lucy saw her chance. "Gate of the Maiden! Virgo!" a doorbell sound was heard and she burst out from the earth and gave a flying uppercut to Byro who flew up high with her.
"Another thing!" Byro said as he was floating in the air. "Does it work the same way as Anima?!"
As Virgo hung in the air above Byro, she clapped her hands and bright yellow energy was generated from her palms. "It's time to punish you!" she said with a simple expression.
"-Come again?!"
Virgo flipped forward and the energy around her hands grew bigger. "Spica Hole!" The energy exploded around Byro as it pushed him down into a very deep hole where he became nothing but a glint as he continued to fall.
"Amazing…" Coco thought.
"Princess. Would you like to punish me?"
"-WHAT FOR!?" Lucy exclaimed
Azula let out a sigh. "Fine… I'll let you have this win, blondie!" she eyed Katara and Lisanna who approached them with Lisanna ending her transformation. "And you two took you long enough… How long were you going to make us wait?"
"Wow… is it so hard for you to say 'Thank you!'" Katara said. "Eh?" she noticed Coco looking at the four girls with stars in her eyes. "Who is she?"
"They all saved me. And one of them is a princess Maybe I should give her this key…" as Azula looked to be arguing with Katara, Lisanna was speaking with Lucy and Virgo, Coco considered her options. "But if the king gets it, Lily's life will be…!"
"Oh right…" Azula eyed Coco. "That key she's holding, it's connected to the King's plan to destroy Extalia and kill our- your friends." she bent down at her. "Listen, little girl, just hand us the key so we can-" they suddenly heard a tremendous explosion in the sky.
"What is that!?" Lucy asked.
"Is it your stomach, Princess?"
Lucy was slightly exasperated by Virgo's question. "-Listen, you…"
"- You'd like to punish me?"
"Eh?" Lisanna was about to question them about Virgo and the fallen Taurus. "Who are-?"
"I'll explain later, but look up there!" they all turned their attention to the sky where they saw Natsu and Aang in an aerial battle with Zong. Coco also eyed the battle in absolute amazement.
"Well, we were about to help Natsu and Aang…" Lisanna said. "But we saw you guys were in trouble so-"
They saw Natsu was beaten back, which made Aang and Zong throw explosive fireballs at each other which immediately lit up the entire amusement park. "Whoa…" Lucy breathed. "I almost can't believe that Zong is as strong as Aang."
"He isn't," Azula stated. "Our Avatar can still use magic remember, while that other one can't. But in saying that-" she saw that as Aang backed away, he landed one of the tracks of the hell coaster, Zong flew through him while in an air sphere. When he landed on the ground, he easily blocked a fiery fist from Natsu while he was still on fire. He made a pillar that shot the Dragon Slayer into the sky. "But as you can see, he can hold his own again both The Avatar and Natsu. That tells me that in pure strength alone, the darker version is clearly the strongest of the two."
"I agree!" Virgo said. "We have seen everything that Aang is capable of… but this Zong, we don't know how deep his strength lies."
Lisanna remembered what Zong said back at the volcano. "He said he was just warming up when we fought him. He was holding back the entire time."
They saw that when Natsu and Aang were speeding to him, he had an air sphere surrounding him, and lines of lightning was surrounding it, making the air scream around him. "We're screwed aren't we?" Azula dryly asked.
Zong crashed with both of them making the pair speed down to the ground with smoke following them. He then made three large clumps of rock hover beside him and the outer coating of them melted into magma and they were engulfed in flames. He tossed the two of them to Natsu and Aang.
Aang made a sharp earth pyramid that broke up the flaming boulder. Natsu on the other hand roared and raging flames surrounded and he shot up. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" he punched right through the first flaming boulder. Though he didn't stop and headbutted through the second boulder that was thrown at him, which surprised Zong. "Talons!" His flaming foot crashed onto the top of Zong's head and once he was staggered in the air, his pupils disappeared. "Dragon Slayer's Secret Art!" His fists were lit ablaze "Crimson Lotus: Fire Dragon's Fist!" He peppered Zong with rapid-fire punches, leaving explosions every time his fist made contact. He threw a hard punch to his gut. "Aang, I'm throwing him to you!" he clasped his hands and clattered them into Zong's back forcing him down to Aang who was waiting. He had a long whip of water that had flames swirling around it along with a whip of air and tiny stones that were inside the water. He swiped his arm and the combined elemental blade had looked to have gone through the right side of Zong's chest.
"AHH!" Zong was falling down to the ground and he landed hard, close to the girls, Lucy comically leaped back and hid behind Virgo. "Ugh… that hurt…" he noticed the girls and most of them were prepared to fight him, but his gaze focused on Coco as she tightly held the key. "Ok… I've got a better idea!" Natsu landed hard a distance behind him while Aang arrived there on top of an air-sphere.
"Let's finish this chump!" Natsu said as his fists were ablaze.
"I wouldn't..." he extended his arm behind him with his forks glowing orange, and suddenly Coco was getting up and she was walking on her already pained feet.
"OW! It hurts…" she was slowly walking to Zong, still holding the key. "My body is moving on its own! W-what's happening?"
"What is happening?"
"H-help me… my body is moving on my own…" Coco cried.
Zong smirked and while everyone else was confused, Katara came to a horrifying realization and her pupils shrunk. "No… He's Bloodbending her."
Lucy was still shaking behind Virgo. "Bloodbending…? What is that?"
Zong eyed the girls as he stood with his sides facing the two groups, he stood in between them. "Oh? Do you know what Bloodbending is? And here I thought I was being original."
"Wait… that's a thing?" Azula asked eyeing Katara who only gave a serious nod.
Virgo eyed Zong who continued to have a sick smirk on his face. "The human body is 70% water, so it makes sense for a waterbender to be capable of achieving that feat."
"You got that right… uh, maid woman. But I invented this technique myself, in my world anyway." he waved his arm and Coco's walks were slightly more painful. "For all those who don't know, I can use my Waterbending to literally bend the blood of another living creature or person, turning them into my own little puppet." Everyone and even Azula looked near disgusted by the technique Zong explained. "At first, I could only do it during a full moon, where Water bending is at its peak. But I later learned I could do it when I'm in my own Avatar State… but since I'm still new to it, I can only do one person at a time, even with my Avatar State. But I think one should suffice…" Coco was close to Zong and she was shakily holding the key in front of him. "So generous of you to bring me the key, Coco." she tried her best even though her body was shaking but it was futile and she fell to her knees in front of him. "But before that…" he looked at everyone. "Tell me guys, how would you like her to die?" Coco's eyes shrunk as she looked up at Zong, the others were horrified. "Should I freeze her blood solid? Or maybe boil it and melt most of her organs from the inside?"
"N-no… please…?" Coco begged as everyone else was angrily glaring at him, even Virgo. Natsu was gnashing his teeth.
"Or maybe I can force out her blood through her eyes and mouth, that sounds like an extra kind of fun!"
Before Coco could hand over the key, the ground started to shake and a peal of sick laughter was heard from the hole Byro was pushed down into. Suddenly a thick, octopus tentacle shot out from the ground and it ensnared Coco while she still held the key.
"What the-?" Zong exclaimed.
There were suddenly lots of octopus tentacles that exploded out from the ground. "I've got you now, Coco!"
"What the heck is that!?" Lucy exclaimed.
"-An octopus tentacle, Princess," Virgo explained.
"That's not what I meant!"
"Octopus Liquid." there was a towering figure that was rising in front of the girls, it was revealed to be Byro but he looked to be the source of all the tentacles as he turned into a gargantuan octopus. "I drank the concoction myself!" he was laughing to himself. "Now none of your odd magic can help you!" he exclaimed as he tightly wrapped Coco who still had the key and she was being squeezed, so she shivered in pain.
"Right… their magic is odd, and yet you turn into a damn octopus!?" Azula exclaimed pointing at him.
"Ha… well this is new," Zong said and Byro looked down at the Dark Avatar.
"What are you waiting for Zong? Eliminate them, and I'll take Coco and the key!" Byro ordered.
"Nah, turns out I want all that magic you guys want for myself, so that's a hard no." Octopus-Byro flinched. "But I'll enjoy rippling those tentacles off your bo-" a fiery fist crashed into the side of his face and he was sent flying through a building.
Natsu glared at where Zong crashed into. "Hey, you guys take on the Octopus guy! Me and Aang will finish Zong off!"
"H-huh!?" Lucy gasped. "We have to fight that!?"
"Princess, I don't think I can help you." Virgo flatly said.
"You can't give up before you even try!" Lucy comically cried, Virgo, carried her as she avoided a tentacle whip slamming down on them. "KYAAAA!"
Azula appeared next to them. "You're a damn Fairy Tail wizard, so start acting like it!" she avoided a tentacle slamming down on her as she stepped into a water fountain. Lisanna flew Katara over them.
"I have Coco now!" Byro exclaimed. "But I won't feel satisfied until I've ended your insolent lives too!"
"Jeez, this guy!" Katara said, as he nearly whipped Katara and Lisanna out of the sky.
Virgo was still holding Lucy, bridal style as she leaped up to avoid another tentacle slap. "He sure holds grudges!" Lucy said.
"You have no luck in men, Princess." the two of them were slapped and they both flew across the park.
"WHO ASKED YOU!?" Lucy cried as she and Virgo was flying. She crashed into one of the Ferris wheel seats and the panicked when the realized how high up she was. "KYAAA! Let me down!"
Azula stood in front of Byro alone. "Hey… you there!"Octopus-Byro laughed as he looked down at her.
"Oh… you plan on taking me on yourself?"
"Yes… because unlike that girl you swatted away. I'm not useless like her!" she made a large wall of fire that blocked his advances. He stopped moving and as soon as he did, Azula looked up at Katara and Lisanna before winking at them. The wall of fire then turned into a large circle of fire that surrounded Octopus-Byro.
"You think fire is going to scare me!?" he threw a tentacle down on Azula which she leaped away from. He winced as Azula's flames were burning him.
Azula was on top of a neon attraction. "Aww did that hurt?" she mockingly asked as she had blue electric bolts lining her right arm. "Unfortunately for you, I'm not done dissecting you!" She pointed her two-finger pointed arm to Octopus-Byro, firing a blast of lightning to one of Byro's tentacles and he yelped in pain.
Behind him, Lisanna had dropped Katara onto one of the tentacles, and she landed on another one and the girls started sprinting to the main body. "I'm going to cut Coco loose, then you catch her!" Katara yelled.
She nodded and saw Katara preparing a water whip.
"Hey! Get off me!" he exclaimed and Katara was whipped up and off the tentacle and she was smacked away from him.
"Katara!" Lisanna worriedly exclaimed.
"You too!" the tentacle had whipped Lisanna off and as she fell, she recovered before hitting the ground with her talons. She saw Katara slowly getting up and she worriedly ran to her.
"Are you hurt?"
Katara shook her head and she was healing the shoulder wound that was on her left arm with her water. "Just give me a second." Octopus-Byro's form was looking over them and he was laughing hard to himself.
But before he could strike a large wall of blue fire blocked him from getting to the two. Katara and Lisanna looked in front of them to see Azula standing in front of them. "Are you getting up yet?"
Katara stood up. "Yes…"
"Right… so do we have a plan for this…?" Azula comically looked around. "Wait… where is Lucy?"
"HEEEEEELP!" they saw her on top of the Ferris Wheel and large drops of sweat fell from the heads of the three girls.
Azula eyed Lisanna. "Is it too late to somehow get your Lucy here?"
As Lucy stood on the ride, Virgo looked up at her as she stood on the wheel that held all the seats, the center of the Ferris wheel was shaped like Faust's face. "Princess, here!" she tossed a black cylinder with a star pendant hanging from it to her master. Lucy missed catching it and it crashed into the red glass of the ride making Lucy scream.
"AH! WHAT IS IT?!"
"An extendable whip from the celestial world: the Eridanus constellation's 'Fleuve d'etoiles.'"
"Wait… you mean, 'River of Stars'?" she asked as she held it and it glistened in front of her.
"Please make use of it. I doubt it will be effective, though…" Virgo said.
"Why do you hav'ta be so pessimistic!" they heard Byro roaring as he was attacking Azula and Katara. "There's no way to know without trying!"
"Lucy!" she saw Lisanna flying to her.
"Huh? Is that what your magic is like!?" she shook her head. "Can you take me to him?"
Back with Azula and Katara, both benders were trying to slow down Byro with their elemental whips. "All we need to do is keep him busy until-" they both saw Lucy and Lisanna falling down to him.
"Lisanna, let me go!" Lucy said as she used the whip, there was blue watery energy that shot out with a bright yellow spiky energy snaking around the whip. Lucy was thrown down to him and behind his back, she twirled her whip and lashed him about four times. Octopus-Byro growled and he turned around, shocking the two girls.
"You?" he whipped both Lucy and Lisanna across the park. "Haha, nice try Earth Land wizards!?"
Katara's eyes shrunk as she looked up with astonishment as she sweated. "Heh, n-no effect?"
"You know, I'm starting to doubt Lisanna's strength as well," Azula noted.
Lisanna and Lucy were on top of a castle-like ceiling. "What is wrong with this thing!?" Lucy exclaimed eyeing her new whip. "It's completely useless!?"
Byro was angrily walking to them but he was struck by lightning on the back of his head and he stopped moving. Soon he saw Katara and Azula riding on a small wave that crashed into him but had little effect. The four girls stood as they eyed him.
"Seriously...?" Azula questioned as she eyed Lucy. "Did you run out of magic already?"
Lucy thought back to the moments in battle when she ran out of magic after she summoned her celestial spirits more than once. Even in this battle, she summoned three spirits, meaning her magic must be depleted by now. "Magic… I've always run out of magic when I summoned more spirits that I can handle." she looked down at the whip Virgo gave her. "That's why Virgo gave me this…" she stood up and glared forward at Octopus-Byro. "I'll treasure the concern you have for me, Celestial Spirits!"
"Haha! I'll crush you for good with this!" Octopus-Byro exclaimed as he threw his tentacle at them.
"Virgo mentioned that it can extend right!?" she extended her whip and she slung it forward to wrap itself around the tentacle, she leaped away, changing the direction of the tentacle.
"What!?"
"Follow my lead!" Lucy exclaimed as she ran onto one of the tentacles after whipping one of them away. Katara and Lisanna had leaped onto two other tentacles.
"Huh, what are you?" but Byro was shot in the face by Azula.
"Hey, you want to fight someone, fight me you old creep!" she charged lightning and it struck Octopus-Byro's right eye and he backed away in pain. "Hurry and get to the girl already!"
"She's a member of our army. She's of no concern to you!"
Lucy leaped off the tentacle and wrapped her whip around to swing herself around his body. "Can't you see she's in pain?!" Lucy exclaimed.
Katara used her own water whip to copy Lucy and found herself on another tentacle. "And you're only hurting her more!"
"Oh I haven't even begun!" he exclaimed as he squeezed Coco tighter, making her yelp in pain.
"Knock it off!" Lucy exclaimed as she ran on another tentacle with her energy whip leaving a blue and yellow trail behind her.
"Quit scampering about on my body!"
Lisanna flew up high and tried to kick Byro in the face and as her talons raked him in the face, he slapped her with his tentacles. Though as she flew, she was caught by Katara's whip and she landed next to her as she stood on a building as they both eyed Byro as he was still ripping through E-Land.
Lucy landed on another building by herself. "If she's one of your own… you're supposed to protect her!" Coco heard Lucy's words and she gasped as tears escaped from her eyes. "We can't lose to someone who doesn't even understand that! Because I am a member of Fairy Tail!" she had Katara, Lisanna, and Azula standing beside her. "And we protect each other!" she exclaimed as she held her whip.
"Why you-" suddenly a scream was heard and Sokka was seen flying through the air with his sword glowing bright yellow and cleanly sliced through one of his tentacles. Crucially, it was the one that held Coco. Sokka landed on the ground and he managed to catch the screaming Coco in his arms.
"I gotcha'!" he exclaimed.
"AAAAHH!" Byro screamed in pain as his tentacles left dark purple blood.
Lucy looked to the others. "Now's our chance!" she flung her whip and she managed to tie it around four of his tentacles.
"What do you think you're-" he saw that Katara had her water whip tying up the rest of them which prevented him from moving.
Before he could figure out what was going on, Lisanna had given him a hard kick with her right talon which made him tip over slightly, and his eye was closed but he spotted Azula smirking at him, pointing a pair of electrified fingers at him.
"Hah." She released the largest amount of lightning she could and it struck Byro right in the face where his nose would be. Right after he was struck, he slowly fell down onto the front of the Monster Academy building. But he could feel the building below him melting into magma.
"H-huh! HOT! What is-"
"HOT POTATO!" There was an explosion that shot Byro outward as there were two large lava spheres that had crashed into Hughes, sending him crashing into Byro's head knocking the two of them out instantly. It was seen in a huge wave of exploding lava, the defeated bodies of Hughes and Byro were seen within them.
"I-is that Hen?" Lucy asked as she saw the Earthbender leaping up out of the Monster Academy with a smirk on his face.
…
Not too far from them, Zong was sliding on his feet trying to maintain his balance, he was headbutted by Natsu, but he remained standing on his feet. He threw his arm upwards, making a pillar shoot Natsu into the air.
As he flew up Aang was in his air-sphere and his eyes shone white and his arrows shone as well. He flew above Natsu and he double kicked Natsu back down to Zong. Natsu's fists were covered in flames and he and crashed his closed fists down onto Zong and while Zong guarded, his standing body dug deeper into the ground, making a crater. After Zong was lowered in the ground, the Dark Avatar roared and a long blast of lava shot Natsu to the side.
He could see Aang falling down to him and he encased himself in a rocky sphere with spikes jutting out. Zong made electricity surround his arms and he shot it up to Aang's sphere which exploded into tiny pieces. But after Aang was outside of it, he had the side of his fist on his left open palm and an icy mist was seen coming from them. He landed hard on the ground and created a tremendous wave of ice in the shape of thorny roots with a couple of ice roses in them. Zong rolled away and his top was torn. "Creating ice from thin air… that's new!" He saw Aang was surfing on the rose thorns that melted into water and he made it engulf Zong, and the water sphere was crushing Zong in the rising pressure. Aang created his rose blades that covered his arms and he shot to the sphere and slashed right through Zong, making the water sphere explode. But the water droplets stoped in the air and they froze, Aang made the ice shards rain back down on Zong which made his limp body fall towards Natsu.
The Dragon slayer's fists were covered in bright orange orbs of fire. "Dragon Slayer's Secret Art!" he started to swing his arms in a circular fashion, leaking fiery whips from his hands. "Crimson Lotus: Exploding Flame Blade!" The flames turned to a torrent of fire which was releasing a wave of flames that were barraging Zong as the flames engulfed him. He wasn't able to counter it and he was sent flying high into the air.
He was flying to where the knocked-out bodies of Byro and Hughes were and he landed hard with an explosion of dust.
After Zong was taken down, the top half of his clothes were burnt off and his red tattoos were more visible on his chest, they ceased their orange glow. He tried to get up but a sword was pointed at him. He looked up. To see Katara, Azula, Lucy, Lisanna, Hen and Sokka glaring at him. He looked up and saw Aang in his air sphere hovering above him, still in the Avatar State. It wasn't long before he saw Natsu landing on the ground on his fist and feet, still surrounded in flames and he glared right through Zong.
The Dark Avatar smirked as he remained on his knees and he smirked. "Hehe, I know when I'm beaten… But hear this... I may have lost the battle, but the war is far from over!" He made a clean circle of earth around him and he dug himself underground to escape.
Once he was gone, the flames faded from Natsu and Aang landed on the ground and brought himself out of the Avatar State.
Hen was walking to the hole. "I can go after him!"
"Forget it!" Azula said. "He knows the underground better than we do most likely. We'd probably get lost in there. And even in his weakened state, he'll still knock you around for fun."
Coco eyed the scene with tremendous shock in her eyes. "Byro, Hughes, and even Zong were beaten!?" she could feel her feet getting wet and saw Katara behind her. "H-huh!?"
"Don't worry, I'm trying to heal you. Your feet were in pain, right?"
Coco gave her a silent nod and she could feel a very soothing sensation going through her feet and legs, but she tightly held onto the key.
"Whoa!" Natsu exclaimed as he looked at Byro's defeated form. "What is this thing!?" he asked with an excited yell.
"Yep… that's Natsu, all right!" Lucy said.
Azula looked at the area around them. "So, that's two down with a weakened Dark Avatar on the loose, I'd say not a bad day, it could have been worse." she then eyed Lucy. "Great job by the way… you weren't… completely useless."
"You're complementing Lucy for once?" Aang asked. "Now I think I've seen everything…"
Natsu then noticed their outfits. "Huh? What are you two wearing?"
The firebender started growling. "I almost forgot… I still have to kill a certain two people for this…" she gave a deadly glance to Hen and Sokka who were sweating nervously.
"Huh? Who's that lying on the ground." Natsu asked eyeing Coco.
"Are you ok?" Lucy asked.
"You know her."
They heard sniffling from Coco as she was being healed.
"Whoa… what's wrong?" Hen asked.
"Got a stomach ache?" Natsu questioned.
"Why would she?" Lucy replied.
The rest of the group stood in front of Coco as she held out the sky. "Th-This is a key to a device that will kill your friends…"
"Say what?" Natsu exclaimed.
"I thought so… no wonder the old man wanted it so badly," Azula said.
"Wait-" Lucy gasped. "-you mean the thing that'll crash the lacrima into Extalia?! So this is the key he was talking about?!"
She dropped the key in front of her. "I'd rather live in peace with everyone… than have everlasting magic." she looked up with tears falling from her brown eyes, she was on the verge of sobbing. "Please! Destroy the key!" she begged.
"Destroy it?" Aang questioned.
Lucy gave it a brief thought. "You're saying destroying it is all we gotta do to stop the lacrima attack?! Thank you so much!"
Hen excitedly clicked his fists. "Haha, awesome! Give it here!" he reached over to take the key from Coco.
But suddenly the key was snatched away and Hen was left holding a purple Edolas frog. His eyes were white with shock.
"Wha…?!" Lucy and Lisanna exclaimed in a similar shock.
Azula pointed at the figure who stole the key from them. "Are you kidding me!? Over there!?"
Sugarboy had the key as he was sliding across the floor at a fast speed on the sharp chest plate of his armor, sparks were being generated from them. "Ha ha ha! You know better than to give something this important to the enemy, Coco! I must return it to His Majesty!" he laughed.
"Ugh… it never ends does it!?" Sokka asked.
"Sugarboy!" Coco exclaimed.
"The key!" Aang yelled.
Azula was growling. "That slimy little-"
"GIVE IT BACK!" Coco cried. Flying over them, using the octopus as a ramp was a motorcycle with two figures on them.
"Bastard! Get back here!" Gray exclaimed as he was riding the motorcycle with Zuko sitting on the back.
Sugarboy looked back. "Hmm… You again?"
"You're not gettin' away!"
"Gray!" Natsu, Lucy, and Lisanna exclaimed.
"Zuzu?" Azula questioned as their bike was falling back down to the ground.
"Don't worry about us!" Zuko exclaimed.
"That split-chin jerk is mine!" Gray declared. "Don't touch him!"
"Screw that!" Hen said as he was about to step on the ground.
Sugarboy saw this and he hummed to himself. "Hmm…?" he softened the ground that was sitting below them and they all began to sink.
"Huh… what the hell?!" Hen exclaimed.
"That sword softens anything it touches," Azula said as their bodies were sinking.
"Does anyone have a plan!?" Katara asked.
Lucy confidently twirled her new whip. "This calls for Fleuve d'e-" a dark shadow was cast over all of them and the huge body of Octopus-Byro was slowly falling onto them. They were all being crushed under his weight "OCTOPUS! It's in the way! And heavy! And gross!"
"GET THIS DISGUSTING LUMP OF CALAMARI OFF ME!" Azula angrily roared.
The lights all over the E-Land attractions were shutting off. "All of today's attractions are now closed."
…
"You two are pretty persistent. Not that you stand a chance, though." Sugarboy bragged as the chasing duo behind him.
"Zuko, I could use a boost here!" Gray said.
Zuko looked back and he fired thick streams of fire that were giving more propulsion and speed to their bike, allowing them to close the gap to Sugarboy.
"Shut up and get back here!" Gray exclaimed.
"I'm in a hurry here." he smugly said.
"Keep talking," Zuko said. "We'll catch you soon enough!"
Sugarboy took out his sword. "So you say… Rosa Espada…" he made his sword grind the floor, leaving sparks and the floor looked to turn to liquefied waves that Zuko and Gray's bike was closing in on. Gray saw them coming and he quickly swerved the bike left, and then to the right.
Zuko then glared forward and he fired charged fireballs at Sugarboy who was managing to easily avoid them as he hummed smugly.
They rode through the park and they were traveling through a long hall with neatly stone bricks lining the walls, and thick stone pillars. Sugarboy was laughing while Gray and Zuko continued to chase. "Dammit get back here!" Gray exclaimed.
"How can you even do that?" Zuko asked.
"Hmm…?" Sugarboy winked back at the pair. "I don't know either." Both Zuko and Gray weren't at all surprised by his answer even though it left them slightly annoyed.
"More importantly, what's that key?!" Gray questioned.
"It activates the Dragon Chain Cannon!" Sugarboy answered.
"Dragon Chain Can-"
"Oops… I said too much…"
"Dragon…" Zuko said. "Gray you don't think…"
"Yes… whatever that key is. They probably need it to use the Dragon Slayer magic that they took to execute their plan."
"That makes it more important that we take it from him!"
Sugarboy was slightly veering ahead of the two. "I cannon let you people have this!"
Gray shifted his weight to his left, making the bike lean over as he rode it. He extended his left hand to the floor. "Which means we can't let you run off with it! Ice-Make: Floor!" a wave of icy energy was speeding to Sugarboy through the floor.
"You know ice is no match for me." Sugarboy stretched his sword out as the ice started to form underneath him. "The Rosa Espada can soften anything!" as he did the ice thawed into water, but as an unforeseen side-effect. His armor had effectively aquaplaned on top of the water which left him spinning uncontrollably.
"Softening ice doesn't change the fact that ice is very slippery!" Gray smugly pointed out as Sugarboy had crashed face-first into the wall, leaving a large crater.
Gray slowed down allowing Zuko to jump off and he fired a long stream of fire at Sugarboy. He covered his eyes as he allowed the flames to push him back, but stood in a defensive stance. But as the flames cleared his eyes grew wide as he could see the bike his pursuers were on, flying towards him. "That, won't work!" he confidently said. He hummed as he held Rosa Espada in front of him and the bike had softened into cold, liquid metal. However, he was slow to notice Zuko behind him. "The key!" Zuko had his grip on it, trying to wrestle it out of Sugarboy's hand. Zuko had engulfed the key in fire, only darkening it somewhat.
"Heh, your flames can't melt it, Scarface!" Gray suddenly appeared and he gripped the key before using his ice magic to encase it in a huge amount of ice. "Hmm… this is cold… Iceboy…"
"Don't give me weird nicknames!" Gray exclaimed with white eyes.
Zuko glared at him. "It didn't shatter?"
"Well, of course, it won't. It's not that flimsy of an item. Also, it's cold… Could you two let go? I'm not particularly fond of holding hands with other men at length." Though suddenly the ice was melting and the key was suddenly covered in fire that Zuko was creating, making the ice melt completely, slightly charring the key again. "Huh, now it's hot? What are you doing?"
"Hey, now. Haven't you realized the tables have been turned now?" Gray asked.
"Huh… what do you mean, Iceboy."
"Stop calling me that!"
Zuko smirked as the key was still being darkened by his fire. "Here's a bit of a lesson for you. What happens when you rapidly cool hot metal?"
Straight after Zuko asked this, Gray used his ice magic to put out Zuko's flames and re-freeze the key again. The sharp shards of ice were spreading further. "Hmm… not bad, using hot and cold to shock the key into breaking. Clever."
Though Gray smirked, which made Sugarboy look at him quizzically. "Heh, you guys need this thing. But we don't! So if we can't break it, we'll just make it unusable!"
"Hmm… but no matter I'll just melt your ice with Rosa Espada, remember?" Sugarboy said.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" Zuko asked. "I can just melt this ice myself, and the only thing that sword is going to melt is that key of yours!" Sugarboy's pupils shrunk as the ice was starting to shatter, and it exploded outward as fire engulfed it yet again, only it was stronger than last time. "Is that a risk you're willing to take?"
Sugarboy glared at them while growling slightly. Suddenly his mood changed. "Deadly Precise is my middle name, after all!" he said with a calm demeanor.
"The hell does that even mean?" Zuko questioned with an exasperated expression.
"Then if that's the case…" he rose his sword into the air. "I'll just have to cut you away!"
However, as soon as he raised his sword. Gray tightened his grip. "As if we'll lose to you!" he focused as hard as he could and his ice was growing all over the key again, so much so that the ice was starting to freeze over Sugarboy. "Then I'll just have to freeze you first!"
Sugarboy threw his sword onto the ice, quickly softening it, but as the ice was receding, massive flames covered the area where the ice was, Sugarboy was quick to pull his sword away so he wouldn't melt the key. The flames grew and Sugarboy's hands were starting to burn slightly. "If you won't let go, then I'll just burn your hand and make you!" Zuko exclaimed.
"Then I'll just cut yours off!" Gray froze the key yet again, and his ice grew quickly, immediately blocking Rosa Espada from cutting Zuko, but this only resulted in Gray's ice immediately melting.
"Nice try!"
"Back off!"
The three went back and forth several times cycling between fire, ice, and water as they were pushing each other all over the hall as their fight for grip over the key intensified. All of them were screaming as they were all putting their effort into breaking/recovering the key.
As this continued, their fight stopped as cracks were beginning to spread through the key as it was encased in ice. Much to the comical shock of the man in pink. "Impossible! The key has cracked?!" Meanwhile both Gray and Zuko had smug grins on their faces.
"Heh at this rate, the key will shatter in no time at all." Zuko bragged as he poured more flames into it, melting the ice. The flames were so intense that they were licking Sugarboy'd face.
"Th-This is bad! Very, very bad! Stop! The key's going to break!" Sugarboy begged as he flailed his sword around in a panicked fashion.
"That's the idea!" Gray exclaimed as he started to rapidly freeze the key once again, putting out Zuko's flames. "Our friends' lives are at stake here! So we're going to demolish this thing!" As Gray was pouring as much ice into it, Zuko was also warming it up, trying to melt it. The key was covered by small flames as the ice was covering the outside of it. This was only spreading the cracks of the key even farther.
"N-no! This is very bad!" Sugarboy panicked. "You guys need the key too, you know!"
"Say what!?" Gray asked.
"Let's just call a truce for now!" Sugarboy requested. "This key can also save your friends! Hurry, it's going to break!"
Both Gray and Zuko pinned Sugarboy to one of the pillars in the hall, making a crater in it. Zuko had his other fist raised as there were flames over it, ready to fire at Sugarboy. "Start talking."
"Th-This key can also turn your friends back to normal…!" he said with a stuttering voice.
"Oh?" Gray questioned with a smirk. "You're bluffing."
"I don't think so," Zuko noted as he thought back to Gajeel explaining how he freed their group from the Lacrima. "It was Gajeel's Dragon Slayer magic that was able to free us, remember?"
"L-listen to your friend! The Dragon Chain Cannon fires condensed Dragon Slayer magic! Don't you know what Dragon Slayer magic can be used for in this world?!" He felt their grip lighten slightly. He smirked as he continued his plea. "A direct hit on the lacrima by the Dragon Chain Cannon can turn your friends back!"
"So what?" Gray asked. "We have Gajeel. And Natsu, Aang, and even Wendy too if it comes down to it! We got four Dragon Slayers! We don't need no stinkin' key!"
Sugarboy glared back at them. "You don't know how many days it'll take, do you?" this made Gray and Zuko flinch. "By tomorrow, the lacrima will begin turning into magic power. Our plan is to smash the lacrima into Extalia before that happens! Indeed, with four Dragon Slayers, you can probably save a few people. But not all of them!" he exclaimed. "And even then, if you fail, what will stop Zong from absorbing the Lacrima's magic into himself as he said! If that happens, nobody wins! If you want to save everyone, you mustn't break this key!" he tried to put on a smirk but his nerves were sneaking in as his right eye was twitching and there were beads of sweat on his face. "Plus, that lacrima also contains thousands of citizens, who have nothing at all to do with your guild, right?"
Both Gray and Zuko held onto the key, however, they both looked like they were considering their options, which made Sugarboy's expression calm slightly as he looked like he had gotten to them. Cracks continued to spread through the key as Sugarboy hummed to himself, hoping he had gotten the two to release the key back into his grip.
Zuko moved his pupils to face Gray. "So… did you get all that?"
"Yeah…"
More ice grew around the outsides, and inside it, the key was on fire and the flames were making the ice melt and crack. Sugarboy couldn't believe what he was seeing as the key was - to his horror, cracking even faster. The amount of force was more than enough and the key eventually shattered into sharp shards of metal that rained around them along with falling shards of ice.
Sugarboy choked as he couldn't believe what was happening. "T-THE KEY!" he cried out as his eyes grew wide and turned white in fear. He got down and was comically picking up the pieces that fell to the ground in a very futile attempt to repair it. "ARE YOU BOTH CRAZY?! I wasn't bluffing, you know!" Sugarboy saw they were both leaving and he aimed to put them down. "Your friends will never turn back to normal!"
He tried to jab them with his sword but Zuko kicked him, making him stagger backward. "That's where you're wrong!" he had two pointing fingers and he circled his arms, generating lightning in his fingertips. He pointed at Sugarboy and let the energy leave his right arm and it stuck Sugarboy's chest, making him fly back to another pillar, making him drop his sword.
This left him open as Gray charged to him. "We're taking our friends back with us!" after he got in his usual stance, an icy blue magic circle covered his hands and ice blades appeared on his left elbow and right hand. "Ice Blade: Seven-Strike Dance!" He used the blades to slash Sugarboy five times while spinning, and he finished him off with a cross-slash that managed to punch holes in his armor, sending him flying into the air. Sugarboy hit the ground hard in defeat.
Sugarboy only eyed the two as he lay down on his stomach. "Scarface… Iceboy. You two are insane." He said with a weak hiss in his tone. "To think that you actually destroyed the key… It could have been used to save your friends…"
They both smirked as they looked over him. "Gray… show him," Zuko said.
"I'm an Ice-Make Wizard…" Sugarboy was shocked as he saw Gray create an exact icy replica of the key to the Dragon Chain Cannon. "I can make anything."
