At long last! The rewrite I have had hinted on my profile! My most recent story on my profile, The End of All Things, is my re-write of this very story.

I want to thank each and every one of you for reading this, I still get notifications even now, 7 years on from the beginning of me writing this, about new followers and it truly warms my heart.

I sincerely hope you all enjoy the new story; I've been sitting on the first few chapters for the better part of a year and it feels incredibly good to release chapter one into the wild.

It had changed slightly, I waved goodbye to Emily in bid of brining forward a new character instead by the name of Eleanor who I hope will live up to everyone's standards.

The story is, understandably, more mature than what I was writing at 14 years old as I am now 21, months away from securing a degree, working a part-time job and have a large amount more life experience than little teen me did, but the core of the story remains the same. There has been a few tweaks and changes, but it is definitely a whole lot more consistent than this (my POV change in the middle of this story is a large example of my earlier wishy-washyness).

I truly hope that you all feel like The End of All Things surpasses that standards I set with The Downpour, as this was truly a delight to write and unlocked probably one of my biggest passions that I harbour.

Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for reading this – to all the reviewers, favouriters, followers, and even those who dropped by for a few chapters and decided it wasn't for them. I remember the ecstatic feeling I would get when I would watch the traffic count, the warmth I'd feel as people left lovely reviews that encouraged me to keep doing what I was doing, and its truly something I'll hold dear for a long while. I will keep this story on my profile as I am determined that it shall outlive me (as it deserves!), and it also serves as a reminder to me that progress can be made. Even within the first couple chapters I can see my writing style evolve, and I think the transformation my writing style has taken over the years to go from this story onto the re-write is something I should be proud of.

Anywho, enough sappiness. For those who want to continue on this journey and relive it in new words, I'm excited to take you along for the ride. See you on the other side, WindyWillow x.
