Awakening of Evil Part 2

I don't own Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh

"Your chances of victory have vanished; you'll never withstand the onslaught from my three Embodiment of Apophis trap monsters." Odion told Daisuke who glanced at the cards in her hand thinking of a plan.

"Oh yeah, well I'm gonna have to disagree with you. I set two cards face down and then switch Alligator Sword from Attack to Defence mode." She said, two face down cards appeared in front of her as the Fairy Box vanished from the field exposing her monsters to an attack before Alligator Sword then dropped to one knee holding its sword in front of its chest.

"Hey, you guys, there has to be a way for big sis to beat those slimy things, right?" Serenity asked the others, hoping they'd have an answer.

"It's not easy. What's important right now is keeping her life-points safe." Mai told the younger girl.

"That seems like a final desperate move to me." Odion said, narrowing his eyes as he gazed at Daisuke who glanced down at one of her face down cards which was Scapegoat while her second face down card was Graverobber.

"We'll see about that. As soon as Marik attacks with those monsters, I'll activate Scapegoat, that'll absorb all three of his attacks giving me an extra turn to think of a way to get out of this mess." She thought.

"You're about to discover what real power is Miss Wheeler, now my three beasts, attack!" Odion commanded, his three monsters hissing as they charged towards Daisuke.

"Activate Scapegoat!" Daisuke shouted, her face down card flipping up and her four sheep tokens appeared on the field. "My Scapegoats will protect me from your snake's attacks."

"Alright!" Kari cheered with a relieved smile.

"I see, good move. But not good enough!" Odion said with narrowed eyes.

"What do you mean by that?" Daisuke asked in concern. Odion discarded one of the cards in his hand and one of his other face down cards activated.

"By discarding one card in my hand, I activate the trap card Magic Jammer!" Odion explained.

"Bad news guys, Magic Jammer allows Marik to destroy Daisuke's Scapegoat magic card." Mai said grimly.

"That evil creep can't win this!" Tea shouted as Daisuke watched as her sheep dissolved before her very eyes.

"Say goodbye to your sheep and hello to my serpents." Odion said.

"Daisuke!" Joey and Veemon shouted.

"Embodiment of Apophis attack Rocket Warrior!" Odion commanded, one of his monsters sliced through Rocket Warrior destroying it and Daisuke's life-points fell by 100. "Now attack Alligator Sword!" her next monster was cut in half and destroyed. "And finally attack her life-points!" the third and final monster swung its sword down hitting Daisuke across the chest and she flew backwards crying out in pain as she slammed back first into the railing of the duel arena behind her.

"Oh no!" Kari gasped, hands covering her mouth in worry as Daisuke's life-points fell again from the direct attack to 200.

"Get up!" Yugi called to his friend.

"She almost lost the rest of her life-points." Tristan said in worry as Daisuke struggled to get back to her feet, her body aching in pain.

"Damn…got me good there." She thought, stumbling, and then falling to one knee.

"You've lost all your monsters and now you're done to 200 life-points. One more attack by my serpents and it's over." Odion told her.

"You can do this Dai, remember how you promised to help me defeat Marik, he's right there. If you win this duel he'll be finished!" Yugi shouted to Daisuke while Marik watched from behind the group with a smirk.

"Wrong you fool, I'm Marik and your friend is about to lose to my servant, Odion." He thought coldly.

"This duel can't end. Not until I've seen The Winged Dragon of Ra. I must see it!" Kaiba thought.

"What a shame, it looks like you overcame everything to make it just to lose in the Battle City Finals while on your knees. You might as well stay down because I am about to take away the few life-points you have left!" Odion told Daisuke.

"Daisuke get up, you can still win this!" Joey shouted to her. "You've never given up before, don't start now!"

"Save your breath, she only has 200 life-points left. There's no way she can win this duel. She should surrender now while she's got the chance." Duke said with a dismissive tone.

"Don't say stuff about what you don't know anything about!" Joey shouted to the older teen. "Daisuke's always pulled through, no matter how hard things have gotten. She never gave up on me or Serenity so we're not going to give up on her now!"

"That's right." Serenity said softly. "Without Daisuke I wouldn't be able to see again, she never gave up in helping me. So, I'll always support her and never give up on her."

Daisuke, who heard her siblings defending her, smiled softly. "That's right." She thought, putting one hand on her knee she pushed herself slowly to her feet. "Marik…I won't give up. Not while my family is here supporting me, I bet you don't even know what it's like to feel love from family." She said to Odion who looked at her before glancing up at the moon in the sky.

"I did, but that was a long time ago." He whispered with a forlorn expression before he looked back at Daisuke with a cold expression. "So, you're not going to surrender, very well make your final move."

"I've been in tighter spots than this before. I'm not going to lose." Daisuke thought, she drew her next card and her eyes widened before smirking. "Alright here I go. I summon Apprentice Mage of Twilight in Defence mode." She said summoning the child mage to the field who sat on his card as it appeared under him and the young monster yawned cutely rubbing his eyes, nobody else had seen this monster card before, so their reactions were noticeable.

"What is that?" Kaiba asked in shock looking at the monster with a faint blush.

"Aw, he looks like a baby version of you Seto." White Veemon said with a grin.

"Though the hair reminds me of Daisuke a bit." Mokuba said with a giggle as his older brother's blush increased as he looked at the monster.

"Aw, he's so cute." Kari, Serenity and Tea said together while the others all sweatdropped.

"Okay…big sis has lost her mind." Joey thought, looking at the rather pitiful monster.

"Is this some kind of joke, do you intend to mock me in defeat?" Odion asked Daisuke with a glare.

"Nope. I'm just getting started. You see, as the niece to the inventor of Duel Monsters, I sort of get access to one of a kind cards. Now I'm going to use one of them right now. I play the Magic Card, The Gate of Time!"

"The Gate of what?" Veemon asked as everyone watched what happened next.

In front of Daisuke, a large stone archway made of many layers of stone began rising out of the arena floor. The inner layer of stones was by far the biggest, at the top of the arch was the carving of a clock, both hands resting on twelve with the symbol for the monster attribute Light above the clock.

The six remaining monster attributes were equally spaced from the top of the arch, three on each side.

"And what does this Gate of Time do?" Odion asked.

"I'm glad you asked, this allows any monster on my side of the field to evolve and become stronger." Daisuke explained with a grin, she looked down to Apprentice Mage of Twilight with a smile. "What do ya say sweetie, wanna show this big meanie how strong you are?" She cooed.

Her monster grinned and nodded, jumping through the stone archway which began glowing brightly, everyone shielded their eyes from the bright light. A beam of light shot into the sky parting the dark clouds above the blimp, the other side of the archway soon began glowing before out stepped a much older looking version of Daisuke's monster.

"Say hello to the Mage of Twilight." Daisuke said.

Her new monster now looked like a teenager with pieces of armour on his body based off Flamedramon and Raidramon, two shoulder guards, a chest plate, and gauntlets, either decorated in flames or lightning bolts.

The small, scaled wand that he once held was now longer looking more like a staff, held firmly in his right hand, the two dragons circling the length of the staff looked like the Blue Eyes White Dragon and Red Eyes Black Dragon.

Under the armour, he wore a short sleeve dark blue shirt, dark grey pants, and black boots. His hair was free resting on his shoulders. He then spun his staff around and slammed it into the ground sending lightning shooting everywhere across the field, he looked up at Odion with a determined expression.

"And he also has 1200 Attack points and 1900 Defence points." Daisuke added with a grin, looking proudly at her new monster. "And now I activate Mage of Twilight's special ability, when he is summoned to the field via the Gate of Time, he can bring back one monster of mine from the Graveyard, and I choose to revive Red Eyes Baby Dragon."

Mage of Twilight nodded tapping his staff on the ground twice and Daisuke's Graveyard slot glowed before a card emerged and she played it on her duel disk and her Red Eyes Baby Dragon appeared on the field in defence mode. "Unfortunately, I'm unable to switch his battle position if he is revived this way. So, to end my turn, I'll lay one card face down." Beside her remaining face down card, a second one appeared. "Your move."

"Her determination is astounding; how can she retaliate with only 200 life-points? My serpent swordsman will easily finish her off." Odion thought.

"What're you waiting for you incompetent buffoon, attack her!" Marik's voice echoed in his mind, he turned his head slightly to see Marik smirking at him from behind the others.

"I hope you've enjoyed your brief time as a Battle City Finalist, because now it is over. Your monsters won't protect you from my assault, go triple attack!" Odion commanded, his three Embodiment of Apophis monsters slithered towards Red Eyes Baby Dragon and Mage of Twilight.

"I think not, time to skin your snakes." Daisuke said, pressing a button on her duel disk. "Activate face down card, Foolish Burial. This magic card allows me to send a monster card from my deck to your Graveyard. But it won't be there for long, activate the second face down card, Graverobber!"

"So, you plan to rob my Graveyard?" Odion asked her.

"Well duh, it's in the name of the card. What did ya think it did?" She answered as a tiny imp appeared in front of her holding the card in its hands. "Reveal Jinzo!"

"Jinzo, oh no!" Odion exclaimed as the rare and powerful duel monster appeared on the field, standing between Mage of Twilight and Red Eyes Baby Dragon.

"Oh no is right. You see, since your three snakes are both a trap card and monster card, that means Jinzo's special ability allows him to destroy your monsters. Jinzo if you please." Daisuke requested of her monster. Jinzo nodded and fired beams of red light from his eyes, annihilating all three of Odion's Embodiment of Apophis monsters. "You can thank Espa Roba for Jinzo, I won it from him in my first Battle City duel, and he was a real opponent. So, you still think I'm no threat to you?"

"I'm not through with you yet Miss Wheeler." Odion said. "I still have all my life-points."

"Not for much longer. With Jinzo by my side, all your trap cards are history." Daisuke replied with a smirk as her friends cheered.

"Nice work, now show him who is boss." Mai told her.

"If it weren't for all my victories in Battle City, I wouldn't be here in the finals right now. Espa Roba gave me Jinzo and with him I can win." Daisuke thought.

"Looks like Wheeler got lucky, perhaps she'll last long enough for Marik to summon his Egyptian God Card after all." Kaiba thought.

"Right here I go. I switch Mage of Twilight to Attack mode." Daisuke said and her mage smirked. "Now Jinzo, Mage of Twilight attack his life-points directly!"

Jinzo unleashed his psychic shock attack making Odion withhold a cry of pain as his entire body was wracked with electricity before Mage of Twilight cast a magical blast that slammed into his chest sending him skidding back and his life-points fell to 400.

"Alright, she got Marik's life-points down to 400!" Joey cheered.

"It's a good thing that you and your sister inspired her." Mai told the young boy as Odion glared over at Daisuke.

"Attack me all you want, you can't win. Don't forget that I still possess my Temple of the Kings cards, a card with ancient and mystical powers that cannot be stopped, just wait until you have experienced his untold power." He warned her.

"Your palace doesn't scare me. If you think you can intimidate me, you're dead wrong. Daisuke Wheeler doesn't let anyone threaten her friends and family and get away with it. So, make your move." Daisuke replied.

Marik frowned glaring up at the girl as he held the true Millennium Rod behind his back. "Listen to me Odion, you've allowed that foolish girl to come too far. It's time you put an end to her, she's worthless, finish her off or else." He threatened Odion.

"Not to worry Master Marik, I happen to have a way to put a halt to her monsters." Odion reassured him, he drew his next card and nodded. "I activate my Swords of Revealing Light magic card." He played the magic card and dozens of swords made of light dropped down around Daisuke's side of the field.

"That's not good, that immobilises Daisuke's monsters for three whole turns." Willis said.

"She can still win the duel, right?" Kari asked him.

"Of course, she can. But not attacking for three whole turns isn't good." He answered.

"That's true, but Jinzo's special ability remains in effect. And she can sacrifice monsters to summon stronger ones." Joey pointed out with a grin.

"Make your move." Odion said.

"Gladly." Daisuke replied, she drew her next card and smiled. "I sacrifice my Red Eyes Baby Dragon to summon The Legendary Fisherman in defence mode." Her dragon glowed brightly before in a torrent of water; it was replaced by The Legendary Fisherman. "And I also switch Jinzo and Mage of Twilight to defence mode as well."

Odion drew his next card. "Prepare to lose!" he told Daisuke, upon looking at his newly drawn card, his eyes widened in fear. "What's this!?" he thought.

"Why do you look so surprised Odion, if you are pretending to be me. It only makes sense that you would have my Egyptian God Card in your deck." Marik's voice echoed in his mind and Odion turned to look at Marik who had a malicious smirk on his face.

"But Master, this card is too dangerous. And I am not meant to control its great power. You can't possibly expect me to play it, please reconsider. I beg of you!" Odion replied.

"Stop wasting time, you sound pitiful. I command you to play that card. It's the only way to win this duel, place it in the ark upon the ancient steps and when the time is right you will release its rage upon her!" Marik told him. "The choice is yours Odion, obey me or face the consequences!"

"Hey, are you gonna make a move or what, I'd like to get this duel over with." Daisuke told Odion drawing his attention away from Marik.

"First I play this card face down on the field." Odion said, one card appearing face down on the field. "And now I seal this card in the sacred ark of the temple." Daisuke saw the card appearing above the ark in the temple before it entered the stone ark. "You have no idea what I've just done by securing this all-powerful card within my ancient sanctuary, by sealing this card of the Gods I have also sealed your fate."

"Card of the Gods!?" Daisuke thought, eyes widening in shock. "Does he mean an Egyptian God Card?"

"That ends my turn." Odion said.

"A wise move, Odion. You continue to serve me well." Marik thought with a smirk.

"Okay, my turn." Daisuke thought. "I have to be ready to attack the moment his Swords of Revealing Light expire, in order to stop him before he summons that card he stored inside his temple." Drawing her next card, she smiled at it. "I play Monster Reborn to revive Alligator Sword."

Her monster appeared on the field standing beside Mage of Twilight. "Next I shall sacrifice both Alligator Sword and Mage of Twilight to summon my best monster. Red Eyes Black Dragon!"

Both Alligator Sword and Mage of Twilight were consumed by pillars of light, both of which combined, and the light turned crimson red with black lightning as Red Eyes Black Dragon emerged between Legendary Fisherman and Jinzo and it unleashed a tremendous roar.

"Whoa, three rare monsters and Big Sis summoned all three of them." Joey cheered holding Serenity's hand tightly.

"Look at that, Daisuke's come a long way since this whole tournament began." Mai said with a proud smile.

"She sure has." Yugi said.

"Watch out Marik, next turn your Swords of Revealing Light will expire and nothing will be holding back my monsters finishing this duel since you have nothing to protect you. You're done." Daisuke said, narrowing her eyes at Odion.

"You think summoning three powerful monsters secures your victory? How naïve of you to believe so, while your monsters were trapped by the Swords of Revealing Light, I was able to acquire all the pieces I needed to summon my greatest creature, one who shall become the guardian of this temple." Odion said.

"What do you mean?" Daisuke asked him. "Spit it out already!"

"Patience child. I play Cup of Sealed Soul and I also activate my face down card, Seal of Serket. When these two magic cards are combined with the Temple of the Kings, they unleash a creature unlike any you've seen before. One who will secure my victory in this duel." Odion explained, playing another magic card while activating his face down card.

A stone chalice appeared on his left, while on his right a stone seal appeared with the carving of a monstrous scorpion-like creature with a golden eye like the eye on all the Millennium Items, the chalice of stone began emitting thick purple smoke. "Mystical Beast of Serket I summon thee!"

The smoke emitting from the chalice of stone grew thicker before it consumed the chalice and the stone seal and it began forming into a monster.

"I got a bad feeling about this you guys!" Tristan shouted in worry, everyone watched as the monster emerged from the smoke, it had six legs, two large pincers, row upon row of sharp teeth, two giant blue eyes, spikes along its back, a menacing stinger attached to a long tail and it stood on the steps leading up to the Temple of the Kings. "And this newt is nothing compared to the beast that lies inside the Temple of the Kings."

"What lies inside, do you mean your Egyptian God Card?" Daisuke asked with eyes wide with fear.

"That is correct, The Winged Dragon of Ra. Nothing can save you from oblivion Miss Wheeler." Odion answered.

"With that giant monster outside and the Winged Dragon of Ra on the inside, how the hell am I gonna get out of this!?" Daisuke thought in worry.
