Match card
1. Jeff Hardy, Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs Mr. Kennedy, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in a six-man tag team match.
2. CM Punk (c) vs big Daddy V in a singles match for the ECW Championship.
3. Triple H vs Umaga in a singles match.
4. Finlay vs Rey Mysterio in a singles match.
5. Candice Michelle (c) vs Beth Phoenix in a singles match for the WWE Women's Championship.
6. Batista (c) vs The Great Khali in a Punjabi Prison match.
7. The Bladewolf (c) vs Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match.
WWE No Mercy was live at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. The event opened with a six-man tag team match. Jeff Hardy, Brian Kendrick, and Paul London faced Mr. Kennedy, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch in a six-man tag team match. In the early stages of the match, all six men wrestled inconclusively until Kennedy executed a second rope rolling fireman's carry slam, known as a Green Bay Plunge. Kennedy pinned London to win the match for his team.
Next, CM Punk defended the ECW Championship against Big Daddy V, who was accompanied by Matt Striker. Soon after the match began, Punk knocked down Big Daddy V with a dropkick. Striker then jumped in the ring and attacked Punk, which caused a disqualification victory for Punk, by which he retained his championship. Following the disqualification, Big Daddy V attacked CM Punk.
After this, a pizza eating contest between WWE Tag Team Champions Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) occurred in the ring. Tazz was the host and Maria and Melina were the judges. In order to win the competition, one competitor had to eat more slices of pizza than the opponent in two minutes. Hardy finished two slices in the time limit and then proceeded to vomit on MVP, who didn't finish any, which won Hardy the competition.
In the next match, Triple H battled Umaga. Both men performed a variety of wrestling maneuvers, including a DDT from Triple H onto Umaga, and a Samoan drop from Umaga onto Triple H. Umaga attacked Triple H's ribs throughout the match, but Triple H gained an advantage when Umaga missed a hip attack. Umaga attempted to splash Triple H, who was standing at the turnbuckle, but Triple H moved and Umaga crashed into the ring post. Triple H then performed a Pedigree for the pinfall,
After that, Finlay faced Rey Mysterio. Both men performed many offensive maneuvers through the match, but Mysterio gained the advantage when he kicked Finlay as he hung from the ropes, followed by a Leg drop, sending Finlay to ringside area and striking his head. In result of an injury, Finlay was stretchered out of the ring, and Mysterio won the match via referee stoppage. However, as Finlay was being stretchered out, he sat up and attacked Mysterio.
The next match, Candice Michelle defended the WWE Women's Championship against Beth Phoenix. The match ended when Phoenix slammed Michelle to the mat, before a cover for the pinfall, winning Phoenix the Women's Championship.[21][22]
The seventh match was a Punjabi Prison match for the World Heavyweight Championship, where Batista defended the title against The Great Khali. After both men prevented each other from escaping, Khali struck Batista with a leather strap. Batista returned the favor, hit Khali with the strap as well and attempted to climb the inner cage. But Khali stopped him and squeezed Batista's head with a Vise Grip. Khali then called for a door to be opened but Batista struck him with a low blow. Batista, still hurt from the Vise Grip, slowly crawled towards the door and as soon as he reached it, Khali smashed it on Batista's spine, preventing him from escaping yet again. As the final cage door was now closed, the only way to win was by climbing out of both cages. Khali gained an advantage after pulling Batista off the inner cage wall and making him fall on his back. He had already reached the arena floor as Batista started to climb the inner cage and chase him. When Khali went over the top of the outer structure, Batista leapt from one cage to the other, overtook Khali on the way down, won the match and retained the title.
Next up was the Last Man Standing match.
In the arena, Randy Orton's theme hits and out comes the man who looked proud at what he did to John Cena last Monday Night on RAW, he injured Cena and put him on the shelf. Cena was going to be out for a few months but Orton didn't care, it removed one obstacle from his path to the WWE Championship, now he just had to beat the Bladewolf tonight and win the title.
Orton enters the ring and poses on the turnbuckle before he gets down and watches the stage.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
A bell begins tolling after the wolf howl as Jim Johnston's Dark Side starts up. Fire goes off at the entrance and the lights change to the sinister, blood red as the Bladewolf walks out with the WWE Championship around his waist.
Bladewolf walks down the ramp towards the ring, cameraman getting close enough to see the dark eyeholes of the mask but no sign of the demonic hellfire eyes. Bladewolf climbs onto the ring apron then steps over the top rope...BUT ORTON ATTACKED HIM RIGHT AWAY!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Orton unloads with lefts and rights gripping the Bladewolf's coat and tosses it off. He rips the title belt off Bladewolf...AND CLOCKS HIM IN THE SKULL WITH IT! Orton orders the referee to start counting. ONE!...TWO!...THREE!...FOUR!...FIVE!...SIX!...SEVEN!...EIGH-! BLADEWOLF SITS UP!
Bladewolf starts getting to his feet when Orton tackles him down and starts pouding away on the top of the head. Bladewolf rolls them over and starts hammering away at Orton with lefts and rights before he gets to his feet, flipping his hair back. He checks the top of his head and sees no blood but shakes his ehad then turns around and grabs Orton from behind before hitting a German Suplex across the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks over to Orton, grabbing him and harshly shoves him unto the corner before he hammers away at Orton's forehead with heavy right strikes. He then starts stomping away on the stomach of Orton before hitting a heavy right hand to the forehead, then a few more to the skull. Bladewolf backs off before he runs and hits a running reverse elbow to the head, then grabs Orton...AND HITS A DDT!
Bladewolf gets to his feet then grabs Orton and tosses him out of the ring. Bladewolf gets out the ring and grabs Orton before tossing him into the barricade hard, causing Orton to yell in pain. Bladewolf stomps away on Orton before picking him up and bashes his forehead off the barricade, then the steel steps, and then tosses him over the RAW announce table.
Bladewolf walks over and looks the announce table over before he bends down to grabs the end of it, lifts it up...AND TIPS IT OVER ONTO ORTON! Bladewolf backs off as the referee starts counting. ONE!...TWO!...THREE!...FIVE!...SIX!..Orton starts crawling out slowly..SEVEN!...EIGH-! Bladewolf breaks the count when he walks over and grabs Orton before sending him over the barricade.
Bladewolf adjusts his elbow pads before he slowly gets over the barricade and starts stalking Orton who backs off, trying to get away. Bladewolf walks over and grabs Orton's ankle before picking him up and goes to whip him into the guard railings but Orton reverses it and sends Bladewolf into the metal, sending the WWE Champion to a knee. Orton walks over and unloads with hammering right strikes to the top of the head, forcing the Champion down to both knees. Orton then rams Bladewolf's head into the metal Bannister, sending him down and giving Orton time to climb the stairs.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and starts following Orton, ignoring the fans on either side of him or the ones who patted his arms, shoulders, and back, as securiy makes sure the fans do nothing. Bladewolf follows Orton to the top of a staircase, where a food stand and vending machines were for the fans to get themselves food and drink. Orton grabs a trash can...AND BASHES IT OFF THE BLADEWOLF'S MASKED FACE! Bladewolf falls onto his side but starts pulling himself to his feet a few seconds after but Orton runs and clobbers him from behind.
Orton grabs Bladewolf...AND RAMS HIM INTO THE VENDING MACHINE! Bladewolf falls to a knee but Ortongrabs him and bashes his head several times off the vending machine before he sends him into the wall. Orton walks over but gets a boot to the stomach, sending the Legend Killer to a knee. Bladewolf walks over and yanks on Orton's hair, causing him to yell.
"We're going to Hell, Randy..." Bladewolf growled.
Bladewolf then headbutts Orton before he tosses Orton into the vending machine. Bladewolf walks over, grabs the vending machine...AND PUSHES IT ONTO ORTON! BLADEWOLF JUST PUSHED THE VENDING MACHINE ON TOP OF ORTON! The referee was about to count but Bladewolf shoves the vending machine off Orton then pulls Orton to his feet before shoving him over a table.
Orton crawls away, going back down the stairs with the Bladewolf slowly following him. The crowd was cheering this whole thing on. Orton eventually reached the barricade and climbs over, back at ringside now. Bladewolf runs, leaps onto the barricade...AND JUMPS ONTO ORTON WITH A FLYING CLOTHESLINE! Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back before he picks up a steel chair and watches Orton stumble to his feet,,,AND NAILS A STEEL CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL!
Bladewolf tosses the chair aside before he picks Orton up...BUT ORTON HITS AN RKO OUT OF NOWHERE! Orton stumbled back and leans against the ring apron as the referee starts counting. ONE!...TWO!...THREE!...FOUR!...FIVE!...SIX!...SEVEN!...EIGHT!...NI-! BLADEOWLF SITS UP! Bladewolf gets to his feet but Orton knocks him down to a knee with a hard right then sends him back into the ring.
Orton slides in after him and sets up for a second RKO. He goes for it but gets shoved off and Orton turns around...INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Orton up but Orton slides out of it and Bladewolf whirls around...INTO A SECOND RKO!
Orton breathed heavily for a couple of seconds before he grabs Bladewolf and send shim out the ring and follows him. Orton starts fighting Bladewolf up the ramp, hammering away with hard rights, until Bladewolf knees Orton in the stomach then tosses him up the ramp and follows as Orton crawls away, trying to run but Bladewolf runs up and clobbers Orton from behind.
they were not at the top of the stage, battling it out. Orton hammers some right hands in before he goes for the RKO but Bladewolf shoves him forward and Orton nearly goes off the stage but he stops himself then turns around...INTO A GOOZLE! Bladewolf lifts Orton up...AND CHOKESLAMS HIM OFF THE STAGE INTO THE TABLES BELOW!
Bladewolf falls to his knees, breathing through his mask, before he gets to his feet and flips his long hair back, getting it out of his face and the mask's eyeholes as the referee starts counting. ONE!...TWO!...THREE!...FOUR!...FIVE!...SIX!...SEVEN!...EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN! BLADEWOLF RETAINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays to cheers from the fans as Bladewolf stands at the edge of the stage, looking down at the unconscious Randy Orton. "Here is your winner and STILL the WWE Champion...THE BLADEWOLF!" Lillian Garcia announced.
Bladewolf snatches his title out the referee's hands and glares at him until he leaves. Bladewolf then raises both arms with his tongue coming out the mouth part of his mask, the lights bathing the arena in the sinister, blood red associated with him. No Mercy goes off the air with the Bladewolf standing tall, still the WWE Champion...
