Bokkun was on the Blue Typhoon bridge playing with Eggman's message for everyone to see. Eggman was in the Crimson Egg.
"I've secretly been working to infiltrate the Metarex and find out what they're up to. But it seems they finally found out I've been deceiving them." Eggman said over the TV.
Decoe and Bocoe come into view.
"Dr. Eggman, a huge Metarex battleship is closing in fast!" Bocoe said.
"Its laser cannons are pointed right at us!" Decoe said.
Eggman cocked a brow.
"Your panicking is pointless. Defeat is inevitable, so let's face it with dignity. The Metarex are on the move, heading toward galactic coordinates 000. One of their legends talks about a time when a thousand-year wait ends, and night and day become one. I'm not sure what it means, but my guess is something extraordinary happens in that region of space once every thousand years, and it's about to happen again." Eggman said as Decoe and Bocoe panicked. "The Metarex are sending every ship in their fleet to rendezvous there. You'd have to be out of your minds to try and decept them, so I assume that's what you're going to do." he said and laughed as the message ended."
A counter at the bottom right counted down from twenty seconds.
"I got away just as they began attacking." Bokkun said.
"I hope you don't mind my asking, but why are those numbers on your TV counting down?" Cosmo said.
The numbers read 0:06.
"I forgot that these messages self-destruct at the end." he said and everyone else knew what'll happen. "Cover your ears! It's gonna be a big bang!" he said on voiceover then the TV exploded. "Heheh... Betcha you didn't know watching TV could be so exciting."
"That was not fun!" Cream said on voiceover.
"I'll never tune in to that channel again." Amy said on voiceover.
Later everyone was gathered in an empty room.
"You can't operate the ship from here. There's no controls." Knuckles said.
"There are controls here; they're just hidden away." Tails said and pressed a button on his comlink, and a command chair and several screens appeared. "I built this secret bridge just in case the original one ever got wrecked."
"But can this beaten-up barge fly?" Rouge asked.
Chris sat in the seat and typed on the computer.
The ship's engines were damaged pretty bad, but we still have enough power." he said and pressed a red button.
"Put it into launch mode, Chris!" Tails said.
On Green Gate they lifted into the air and took off. Shadow watched them go.
Meanwhile Dark Oak's Battleship and his fleet were in position.
"The end is at hand!" Dark Oak said and the wall behind him broke apart to reveal a giant tree with a Planet Egg inside it. "The forestation of the galaxy is about to begin! Soon the Metarex will be all-powerful!"
Back on Green Gate Shadow started to walk away, when he saw someone approaching him - and he was wearing black boots.
"Hold it, hedgehog!" they said.
Meanwhile everyone was in the second bridge and could see many explosions in the distance.
"There's a big fleet of Metarex ships ahead! Their coordinates are 000." Cream said.
"That's just where Eggman said they'd be." Sonic said fighting the pain he's in right now.
The Blue Typhoon flew toward Dark Oak's Battleship, which was flanked by countless Metarex Fighters and MTRX-1 craft, as well as two other battleships and Eggman's old mothership.
"Increase engine speed to full power! Set the course for Dark Oak's command ship!" Tails said.
"Roger!" Chris said.
On Dark Oak's battleship.
"Begin the attack." Dark Oak said.
"We'll wipe them out!" Narcissus said over the video.
Pale Bayleaf replaced Narcissus' image on his screen.
"No survivors!" he said and Dark Oak nodded.
In space Bayleaf and Narcissus flew out of their battleships and toward the Typhoon. They were holding swords of some kind.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"Two Metarex are heading right at us!" Chris said.
"We have to stop 'em before they attack!" Sonic said.
"Get to your ships and launch a counterstrike!" Tails said.
"Roger!" Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Cream and Chris said.
In space Chris' ship rose to the runway. Sonic and Bokkun stood on either wing. Amy's and Cream's ships were next. All three craft took off.
"It's time to go wreck those Metarex!" Sonic said and leapt toward the generals.
"Sonic, catch!" Chris said and shot a ring to him.
"Thanks, Chris!" he said and proceeded to spin toward Bayleaf, who throw his two swords at him.
They bounced off him and, swatted back by the Metarex general. Bayleaf summoned his swords again.
"Sonic's attack didn't work!" Bokkun said.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"Fire lasers!" Tails said.
In space the dual laser cannon fired at Narcissus, who used the mirror on his staff to deflect the laser back at the cannon, destroying it.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"Rouge, Knuckles, get to the flight deck to stop those Metarex!" Tails said and they took off.
In space Narcissus landed on the runway and looked at himself in the mirror.
"My looks are even more striking than my attacks." Narcissus said.
Then Knuckles and Rouge approached.
"Let's charge him together!" Knuckles said.
"Ready when you are!" Rouge said.
Narcissus was still staring at himself in the mirror.
"Aren't you even gonna put up a fight?" Knuckles asked.
Narcissus saw them in the mirror's reflection.
"If you insist, but you weaklings can't possibly harm me." he said.
"You won't think so high of yourself after I knock you down!" she said and screw kicked the mirror to pieces.
"You broke my mirror!"
"Be grateful you don't have to look at yourself anymore."
"This is no joke. Soon you'll be howling..." he said and swatted her away with his staff. "...in pain!"
"Now you're makin' me angry!" she said while Knuckles drew his shovel claw.
"Shovel Claw!" he said and lunged for Narcissus, who easily blocked his attacks.
Meanwhile Sonic was having no better luck with Bayleaf, who swatted him away.
"Sonic!" Chris said and flew over and reclaimed him.
Chris flew over and reclaimed him.
"This is for hurting Sonic!" Amy said and fired missiles at Bayleaf but did nothing to his armor.
Dark Oak was on his battleship watching the battle.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"I wish I knew what Dark Oak's next move was." Cosmo said.
On the Chaotix spaceship the ship pulled out of hyperspace.
"We're comin' out of warp space now." Vector said as they saw the fighting ahead. "If you need a ride back, we got a round-trip special today!"
"It's a 45% discount off our standard fare!" Charmy said and Shadow smirked briefly. "He's a tough sap."
"Luckily for you, there's no charge for first-time customers." Vector said. "That's the last time I ever give a lift to a hitchhikin' hedgehog." he said aside to Espio.
"I'm sick of taking jobs where we lose money." Espio said.
"Our business is goin' bust-" Charmy started but was cut off.
"I ain't interested in your opinions! I'm the boss around here!" Vector said. "Where do you wanna get dropped off, buddy?" he asked Shadow and grabbed the controls and started to steer it toward the battle. "Heeey!"
"You better buckle up. We could be in for a rough landing." Shadow said and the ship flew inside Dark Oak's Battleship - and was destroyed.
On Dark Oak's battle ship the ship was mostly undamaged, but the Chaotix' detective house was completely gone.
"At least we made it here in one piece, but now we gotta build ourselves a new detective office." Vector said and Shadow started to walk away. "Yo, pal. Wait! A thank you wouldn't cost ya nothin'!"
"You should at least tell us why you crash-landed us on this ship." Espio said and Shadow turned around.
"I have to find Dark Oak and have a showdown." he said and zipped through a wall, destroying it.
They looked at the hole Shadow made.
"Well... as long as we're here, we might as well battle the Metarex too!" Vector said and walked towards the hole.
He walks toward the hole.
"All right! This'll be fun!" Charmy said and followed.
"That depends on how you define "fun"..." Espio said the shrugged and followed.
Meanwhile Shadow was leaving fires in his wake.
In Eggman's cell the ground shook from the impacts of the war, as well as Shadow.
"I wish there was some way we could abandon ship." Decoe said.
"Yeah." Bocoe said.
"You know, that isn't such a bad idea." Eggman said and pressed a button hidden in his coat.
In space Sirens appeared in Bokkun's eyes.
"Hey... Dr. Eggman is sending out a rescue signal." he said.
"Sonic, I'm gonna fly into the command ship and set Dr. Eggman free." Chris said.
"Okay!" Sonic said and let out his guitar.
"Amy, continue the attack with Sonic!" Chris said and leapt to her ship.
"Roger! Sonic and I will conquer those Metarex using the invincible power of our love!" Amy said.
On Dark Oak's battleship a platoon of Metarex Troopers flee from Shadow.
"Chaos Spear!" Shadow said and obliterated the troopers with a wave of Chaos Spears. "Where's Dark Oak?"
Meanwhile the Chaotix were also dealing with a couple Metarex Troopers. Espio became invisible, allowing two of them to run into each other and explode. Then he appeared again.
"Now that was a smash." he said.
Elsewhere, Chris located Eggman.
"It's all clear." he said.
"Great. With those Metarex gone, we can break free!" Eggman said.
"You'd better stand back."
"We can blow up these bars. Decoe! Bocoe!"
"Yes, Doctor!" Decoe and Bocoe said.
"Now we finally get to show our explosive side!" Decoe said and stretched his body so it's taller, and supported it on Bocoe's hands.
"Begin merge!" they said and Decoe's chest plate opened. "Assuming headshot position!"
Bocoe inserted his head into Decoe for further support.
"Decoe Bocoe Brain Bazooka, fire!" Decoe said and his head opened and fires a shell, destroying the bars." Decoe said and they walked out of the cell. "That was awesome, but I do have a bit of a headache now."
"We are cute on the outside, but on the inside, we are mean machines." Bocoe said.
"It was very brave of you to come here." Eggman said.
"Thanks, Doctor." Chris said.
"You've got a lot of guts for a little kid."
Decoe and Bocoe were confused.
"Now, let's hack into their system." Eggman said and entered a code on a wall panel. "Destruct code verified. Detonating Corridor D."
Explosions ensued, destroying many Metarex Troopers. Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Chris run down the hall.
"I altered this ship's energy output. The ship's main power circuits are overloading now." Eggman said.
"Brilliant idea, Doctor!" Decoe and Bocoe said and outran the explosions.
In space Bayleaf and Narcissus noticed the explosions happening all over the mothership.
"Surprise~!" Cream said and fired a pair of missiles at Narcissus's face. "A bullseye!"
"Chao-chao-chao!" Cheese said.
But Narcissus was only battered.
"How dare you try to damage my perfect face!" he said and flew after her.
Knuckles and Rouge stood on the runway of the Typhoon.
"Quick, give me your hand!" Knuckles said.
"What an odd time to suddenly get romantic." Rouge said.
"Hold tight!" he said and grabbed her and swung her around in circles. "Spin Throw!" he said and threw her hard at Narcissus.
Then she Screw Kicked him in the back causing him to slam into Bayleaf, and they flew away.
On Dark Oak's battleship Shadow tried speaking to a decapitated Metarex Trooper head.
"Tell me where Dark Oak is!" he said and looked up to see a whole army of them. "Never mind." he said and threw the head behind him, then exploded, and prepared to take on the new platoon.
On the bridge.
"Shadow is heading for the bridge!" Trooper said.
"Dismantle the hull and outer structure of the ship." Dark Oak said.
"Yes, sir."
Meanwhile the ship suddenly started breaking apart in perfectly square chunks.
"The ship is falling apart!" Bocoe said.
"They're wrecking their own ship, just to get rid of us!" Eggman said.
Then the floor opened up, and they fell into the room where the Chaotix are. Chris landed on Espio.
"You okay?" Vector asked.
Then Eggman crushed Vector.
Meanwhile Shadow destroyed the Troopers. The ship started to break apart, and he rode one of the segments away.
In space Chris and the Chaotix were safely away from the broken ship. All that's left was the giant tree. Dark Oak was standing atop the tree. Bayleaf joined him at his left side, and Narcissus at his right. Sonic saw this.
"You guys went to all this trouble just to build a treehouse?" Sonic asked and sweatdroped as Dark Oak spread forth his hands.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"Somethin's distorting the gravity in this part of space!" Tails said.
There was a glow as well.
"It's expanding rapidly! What's going on?!" he said.
In space the Planet Egg glowed intensely bright.
"The thousand-year wait ends! Night and day become one, and two worlds come together!" Dark Oak said.
The area on either side of Oak ripple and glow. Now we see a giant planet, with the appearance of having two suns, one on either side of the planet. This is Planet Aqurius.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"That's a Planet Egg..." Cosmo said.
The glow was beautiful, but deadly.
"The thousand-year wait ends. Night and day become one, and two worlds come together." she said.
There was a giant ripple at one part of Aqurius. At the planet's north pole, the tree could be seen, its roots spreading across that part of the planet.
On the Chaotix spaceship.
"Of course! Once every thousand years, a space-time rupture must occur in this part of the galaxy. That light is breaking through from an entirely different universe. We're all doomed!" Eggman said.
In space Chris was watching Tails on his screen.
"There's a huge amount of energy that's coming from that thing! Our sensors overloaded when I tried to get a reading!" Tails said over the video.
"This must be what the Metarex were waiting for! Sonic!" Chris said.
"I better end this before Dark Oak ruins the galaxy forever." Sonic said and spun toward Dark Oak, who was still standing atop the tree.
Meanwhile, Shadow was still standing on the broken chunk of what used to be Dark Oak's Battleship.
"I've got to stop them before forestation starts!" he said and leapt toward Dark Oak.
"You fool. We are on the verge of a galactic transformation! No one can stop us!" Dark Oak said.
The tree contained both the Planet Egg and all seven Chaos Emeralds. They glowed so brightly that Sonic and Shadow were thrown backward. Sonic was caught by Chris' spaceship, and Shadow by Amy's.
"Planet Egg is water." Bayleaf said.
"Chaos Emerald is light." Narcissus said.
"They both give us power." Bayleaf and Narcissus said.
"This water and light that make all plants grow will now give birth to... FORESTATION!" Dark Oak said on spread arms.
The roots spread deep into Aqurius.
"The Metarex have long awaited this moment. We will now bring perfect order and pace to this galaxy, and to the entire universe! Forestation has finally begun!"
"Long rule the Metarex!" Bayleaf and Narcissus said.
The armor of the three highest-ranking Metarex collapsed as they entered a similar stage to Mover Mode. They started to grow larger and more bark-like. Everyone stared as the tree-like Metarex destroyed the entire Metarex fleet and even nearly destroyed the Crimson Egg. The roots spread across the entire planet. Sonic had to cover his eyes on account of the glow. He felt his Chest start to hurt again. The fake Chaos Emeralds on destroyed planets started glowing. Soon, the mutation was complete, and what used to be Dark Oak, Pale Bayleaf, and Black Narcissus was now a three-headed dragon. Final Mova was born. The seven Chaos Emerald were embedded in Dark Oak's forehead. Everyone could only stare.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"What are they?" Tails asked.
"They are in the last stage of the Metarex forestation project. The galaxy will be taken over by plants, and all animal life forms will be wiped out." Eggman said over the video.
"We have to attack!" Cosmo said.
"All ships launch missiles now!" Tails said.
In space everyone fired their missiles at once, striking Bayleaf and doing no damage. He roared, sending the Chaotix' spaceship away from it. Sonic and Shadow leapt toward Final Mova, which grew giant roots to block the attack. Chris and Amy pulled up to avoid the attack. Sonic saw through the roots, while Shadow Chaos Speared them. The Blue Typhoon fired several smoke bombs at Final Mova, which was able to clear themselves from it.
"Farewell, White Seed!" Dark Oak said.
Sonic grabbed on to Oak as he stretched toward the Typhoon.
"Let go, Sonic!" Amy said.
On the Blue Typhoon Dark Oak penetrated the hull, throwing Sonic down the corridor. Then he breathed an energy beam at Sonic. Tails and Cosmo cowered at the attack. Lockdown was initiated as Oak fires another beam.
In space.
"They're after the Master Emerald!" Knuckles said.
On the Blue Typhoon Dark Oak fried the engines of the ship. A safety barrier was lowered around the Master Emerald as Sonic arrived.
"We won't let you take it!" Sonic said and clung onto the head of Dark Oak as it freed itself from the Typhoon.
Then he put his guitar away.
Chris watched in horrible fascination. The stern of the Typhoon was on fire. It plummeted toward Aqurius.
"Tails! Cosmo!" Chris said on the voiceover.
Amy was trying to dodge debris.
"Hang on, Amy!" Sonic said and got Amy out of the ship as it is destroyed by debris.
They landed panting on a root.
"It looks like we're losing." Amy said.
Dark Oak stared down at them.
"You pitiful animals. Now that you are vanquished, you see the true superiority of the Metarex! But you still have one last chance to save yourself from certain destruction. Come to your senses, Sonic! Join us, and we will bring order and peace to the galaxy!" he said.
Sonic was still panting.
"Sonic!" Amy said.
"I'll never join with you!" he said and shut his eyes. "I was offered chances like this with someone else years ago but I'll never do it! I work with my friends, family and myself!"
Dark Oak cocked his head.
"Don't fight them, Sonic! They're so powerful now you'll be destroyed for sure!" Amy said.
"Sorry. I can't let them take over the galaxy without a fight. If you wanna rule, you'll have to get rid of me first!"
'The one to rule is mom, me, Sonia and Manic!' he thought.
There was a pause as the three dragons stared down at them.
"So be it, Sonic. If you wish to be eliminated, we will be happy to help you. Farewell, hedgehog!" Dark Oak said.
Small geysers of water gushed up around them.
"Just don't hurt Amy!" Sonic said and was washed down his throat.
He threw Amy away as a giant water geyser pushes him into Oak's mouth.
"Soniiiic!" she said as he was washed down his throat. "Sonic, nooooo!"
Then he landed in the waters of Aqurius, which glowed with the power of the Planet Egg. The planet now had a whitish hue. This was all done in the name of tranquility and order.
"You have lost, Sonic. Water is your weakness, and our strength. We will now spread across the galaxy, and there will be no one to stop us!" Dark Oak said on voiceover.
