In space Rouge caught Amy, who thrashed in her grasp.
"No! I have to go after him!" Amy said.
"No way." Rouge said.
"But he could be hurt!"
"Acting crazy isn't gonna help anyone. Try to stay calm, Amy." Rouge said and landed on Cream's ship while Amy teared up.
"But you don't understand! Sonic needs me!"
"Oh Amy..." Cream said as tears formed in her eyes as well. "What is Sonic really is hurt this time? We have to get him out of there somehow!"
There was a pause as Amy watched the three heads of Final Mova.
"Oh, Sonic..." she said.
On the Blue Typhoon Chris and Knuckles entered the second bridge.
"This doesn't look good, guys." Tails said.
"Yeah. I just don't know what to do, Tails." Chris said.
"Don't worry. He's going to be okay." Cosmo said surprising the others. "This amulet is a very special one. It belonged to my mother long ago. Sometimes it shows me thing others cannot see. He'll be all right." she said and the others smiled.
"Really?" Tails said.
"Well, sure. That guy can survive anything!" Knuckles said.
'I hope.' he thought.
"And if Sonic can survive, then we can too. Isn't that right, Cosmo?" Chris said when the ship shook.
"Eggman here. Do you read me? You won't believe what's just happened!" Eggman said over the radio.
In space the Crimson Egg had docked with the Blue Typhoon.
"It appears my Egg Crimson has rather conveniently collided with your Typhoon!" he said on voiceover.
The heads of Narcissus and Bayleaf suddenly lunged at the Typhoon, which pulled back.
"Uh-oh!" he said.
On the Blue Typhoon.
"That was close." Rouge said.
"You kids okay?" someone asked.
Rouge, Amy, and Cream turned to see the Chaotix approaching.
"Looks like Eggman's up to something." Espio said.
"A cowardly trick. Ol' Egghead landed his ship on yours so he wouldn't have to fight alone!
"We don't want that Egghead on our ship!"
"What else would you suggest? That creepy colossus is up the whole galaxy! I should think you'd be happy to team up against these botanical beasties." Eggman said over the intercom.
In space standing atop the Crimson Egg, Shadow watched Final Mova.
"If this forestation farce continues, my genius will no longer flourish." Eggman said on voiceover.
On the Crimson Egg.
"What a terrible loss for evil science!" Decoe said.
"How could they be so selfish?" Bocoe asked.
"Come on, everybody! Let's some really big and show 'em who's boss!" Bokkun said.
In space the Crimson Egg fired many missiles at Dark Oak's dragon head. They either miss or do no damage.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge Cosmo placed her hand on her amulet.
"Cosmo, do not fear. I am always with you. Through this amulet, I am watching and guiding you to your destiny." Earthia said then she saw the Seedrians in Mover Mode battling their enemies. "Our planet may have been destroyed long ago, but through you, my daughter, the spirit of our people will live on. Look for the light at the end of the darkness. It is there in your heart."
"What are we all standing around for? Shouldn't we be out there fighting?" Knuckles asked.
"That thing's a hundred feet tall. What do you suggest, champ?" Rouge asked.
"Well, we have to do something!" Amy said.
"There's got to be some way we can break them, something we haven't thought of." Chris said.
"We got your secret weapon right here! Sure, I may be small, but I'm-" Charmy said but Espio covered his mouth.
"Put a cork in it, Charmy." he said.
"Finding a weak spot in that gargantual green meanie out there isn't going to be easy. With the combined power of the Chaos Emeralds, not to mention the Planet Eggs, that three-headed dino boy's a mighty powerful monster." Eggman said over the radio.
"What about the Master Emerald?" Knuckles asked.
"Hey, why didn't we think of that before?" Amy asked.
"If we charge up the Master Emerald enough, we might be able to cause some kind of Chaos reaction."
"Well, it's worth a try." Chris said.
Tails took Knuckles' hands in his own.
"This just might be the idea we're looking for. I gotta hand it to you, Knuckles. Let's get to work on this right away!" he said.
"Thank you, Knuckles!" Cream said.
"Chao!" Cheese said.
Knuckles smiled at the support.
"Aw, it was no big deal." he said. "I'll do whatever I have to to help with someone like this. We've been doing this for six years, we can do it again!"
'I'll do whatever it takes to get back with her and Sonic with his family.' he thought.
"Not so fast, my little spaceketeers. What if Knuckles' brilliant idea lays an egg? pun." Eggman said over the radio.
"What do you mean?"
"We are going up against a whole lot of concentrated energy." Chris said.
"Scientifically speaking, even if we charge the Master Emerald capacity, it still might not work." Tails said.
"So what then?" Knuckles asked.
"Guess you'll find out soon enough, tiger." Rouge said and lapped his back.
"I say Knuckles' idea has to work. This is our only hope for getting Sonic back." Cream said.
"And don't forget, you got the teamin' Chaotix Detective Agency on your side." Vector said.
"Yeah, in case the whole thing goes bust!" Charmy said.
"Hey, wait a minute! What if it does go bust? What if the Master Emerald needs more energy that we've got?!" Knuckles said.
"I have an idea. You can use the Egg Crimson for backup just in case you need a little more... shall we say... juice." Eggman said over the radio.
"Eheheh... Good idea, Eggy."
"You know, this is almost heartwarming, everybody working together like this." Espio said.
"Don't get carried away."
Cosmo laughed.
"Your time is up, my friends!" someone said over the voiceover causing her to look up.
In space all three heads of Final Mova were speeding directly toward the two ships. Shadow spun toward Dark Oak's head, but he flipped him away and lunged for him. Shadow held his head at bay.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"What do we do?" Chris said.
Back in space while Shadow held Oak's head at bay, Bayleaf and Narcissus also closed in. The Crimson Egg fired all its weapons.
"Missile those monsters!" Bocoe said on voiceover.
"I'll hit them with a laser attack!" Decoe said on voiceover.
Shadow started making headway.
"Take this, you three-headed freak!" Bokkun said on voiceover.
On the Blue Typhoon everyone nodded to each other.
In space Cream was in her own spaceship and Amy and Rouge were in two of Eggman's take off. Narcissus fired several spikes out of his hide at the spaceships, which dodge.
"Give it your best shot, fang-face!" Amy said.
Meanwhile, the Chaotix cling to Bayleaf's neck.
"Hang on tight, Espio! He's a slippery one!" Vector said.
"Yeah. Cranky, too." Charmy said.
Shadow launched a Chaos Spear, which went just wide of Dark Oak. He swat Shadow away with his head. Shadow barreled into him. The Crimson Egg continued firing its weapons. Dark Oak was finally forced back.
On the Blue Typhoon.
"Thousands of years ago, when Planet Green Gate first came into being, they believed in peace and harmony. Why did it have to all come to this, Tails? Why?" Cosmo said.
Tails placed a comforting hand on Cosmo's hand and she returned the gesture.
Meanwhile Chris finished a job in the Crimson Egg.
"Okay, you guys. The power cannon is all set up and ready to go. We hooked it up to the Egg Crimson for backup." he said.
"Glad we could be of assistance, kid. But, uh, there may be one slight problem." Eggman said surprising Chris. "How is it that you found yourself in this dimension, Chris?"
"Well, I... I used the Master Emerald's energy as a connector to synchronize my world with this one, and then I teleported."
"Sure you did." he said and saw Chris coming back. "But when you came here, you lost six years because of an interdimensional warp strain. Hence that inconvenient, not to mention embarrassing, shift from strapping young man back to annoying squirt." he said. "Even though we're two worlds together those lost years were stored as particle data inside the Master Emerald's energy centers for safekeeping."
"Isn't is astonishing how the doctor knows absolutely everything?" Decoe asked.
"He is a genius with a capital G." Bocoe said.
"So you're really eighteen, huh? Too bad you're a total shrimpy wimp!" Bokkun said.
Chris got fed up with Eggman's hench-bots.
"Who are you calling shrimp?!" he said. "I'm not gonna let the Metarex win this!" he said amAazing them all with his bravery.
"You're pretty tough, kid." Eggman said.
On the Blue Typhoon.
"All right, Tails, it looks like the backup with Egg Crimson has been completed." Cosmo said.
"I reprogrammed the Power Cannon so it'll receive a sustained charge from all sources." Tails said. "We're ready." he said determined.
In the engine room.
"The seven Chaos Emeralds are the servers. Chaos is the power enriched by the heart. Chaos is the power enriched by the heart!" Knuckles said.
In space the fighters weren't doing well.
"Back off!" Cream said.
Rouge's console was sparking.
"Terrific." she said and got out of the ship. "Thanks for the hunk of junk." she said and kicked the discarded ship at Narcissus.
Meanwhile, the Chaotix were climbing up Bayleaf. Espio threw several exploding shuriken's at Bayleaf. They exploded, but Bayleaf appeared out of the cloud and lunged for Espio, who became invisible to dodge the attack. Vector breathed fire at Bayleaf, which seemed to have some effect. Espio reappeared.
"It's time!" Tails said on voiceover.
In the engine room.
"The controller serves to unify the Chaos! Come on, Master Emerald! Come through! You're our last chance! If this does not work, the Metarex will win, and I will not let that happen!" Knuckles said and the Master Emerald emitted so much power that it started to crack. "Come on, Master Emerald, you can do this. I know you can. You're strong enough. Don't let us down!" he said and more cracks formed. "Master Emerald, give us all your power!"
On the Crimson Egg.
"It's almost at full power. We'll wait a couple more seconds and then we'll reroute the energy." Chris said.
In space Dark Oak wrapped several tendrils around Shadow, who ran around the Crimson Egg trying to break free.
In the engine room.
"Pump the Master Emerald's energy to the main cannon! Hurry!" Tails said over the intercom.
On the second bridge.
"Okay, Chris. Deactivating trigger safety. Set target for 12:00." Tails said.
In space the galactic tug-of-war was on.
On the Crimson Egg.
"Start tilt function!" Eggman said.
In space the Crimson Egg and, in essence, the Blue Typhoon, tilted to the side. The Sonic Driver rose out of the Typhoon. Narcissus and Bayleaf lunged toward the ships.
On the Blue Typhoon engine room.
"Get ready, Master Emerald! Full power!" Knuckles said and even cracks formed in the Master Emerald.
"Sonic Power Cannon, full force!" Tails, Knuckles and Chris said.
In space the Sonic Driver fired an incredibly huge Kamehameha-scale energy blast at Final Mova, damaging the three heads, freeing Shadow, and striking the base of the tree. The entire planet was enveloped in a giant light. So were everything and everyone.
Meanwhile Sonic was suspended in midair in a forestated world. In slow motion, he leapt down to the forest below.
"You fly inside the galaxy that will be. All life still and silent, great and glorious." Dark Oak said on voiceover.
Sonic landed on a branch and ran back up the tree. Then he leapt to the top of another tree. After a pause, he leapt from treetop to treetop.
"You think you are free, but you and those like you will never be free. There will always be violence. There will always be waste. There will always be destruction."
"Destruction? You wouldn't know about that, would ya?" Sonic asked and ran faster.
'I certainly do.' he thought.
Suddenly, large green tentacle sway around then he dodged and cut through them.
"And you, hedgehog. You are the same as all beasts and humans! None can coexist with nature, so you must all be destroyed!"
"Think so?" Sonic said and continued to cut through the tentacles.
"You run in vain, hedgehog. There is no hope left for you. Why don't you give up?"
"Sorry to disappoint ya. See, I got friends waitin' for me."
'And my family.'
The tentacles stopped attacking, and Sonic ran even faster.
"Friends, hedgehog? They have forgotten you. But then, that's the way of such fickle creatures." he said and Sonic broke the sound barrier. "Go ahead. Keep running, Sonic the Hedgehog. Soon your freedom to run wild and free will be gone. Soon you will be still and silent... forever!"
But Sonic wasn't deterred.
"Do your best, buddy!" he said.
In space Dark Oak laughed as it absorbed the Planet Eggs. Everyone looked on. Suddenly he roared and stopped.
On the Crimson Egg.
"Hey, look." Chris said.
"I have to hand it to you kids. It looks like your Master Emerald master plan worked like a charm." Eggman said.
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"Oh wow!" Tails said.
In the engine room the Master Emerald was shattered so Knuckles picked up one of the pieces and groaned.
"Not again!" he said and sighed. "At least we stopped it."
In space Amy flew toward Aqurius.
"Sonic!" she said.
Sonic was unconscious under the waters of Aqurius.
Then he slowly opened his eyes.
Amy continued her descent.
"Sonic!" she said but several vines grabbed her ship and Sonic saw this.
"Amy!" he said.
Amy ejected as the ship exploded. She landed unconscious under the surface of Aqurius. Sonic swam up and caught her. They sunk together.
"Sonic... It's you... You saved me... I knew you would..." she said to herself.
They were enveloped in a white light. They found themselves surrounded in a bubble being floated back toward the surface.
"Amazing." Sonic said.
"Something out there's protecting us, Sonic." Amy said.
They were floated out of Aqurius, where the bubble pops.
"Hey, Sonic!" Knuckles and Chris said.
Everyone looked on as Sonic and Amy floated safely away from Aqurius and Final Mova. Chris headed out in his ship to collect them while Knuckles entered the second bridge.
"Hey everybody, check it out! Something really weird is happening now. Look!" Tails said over the intercom.
Chris, Sonic, and Amy looked over to see the waters rising around Final Mova. The heads of Bayleaf and Narcissus were missing.
"You tried to destroy us, but we are more powerful than you will ever know! The Chaos eternal seed! We shall become as one with Chaos forevermore!" Final Mova said and the water rose above the dragons as Dark Oak dissolved.
"He's gone." Chris said.
"And now the birth of a new galaxy - a galaxy of tranquility, of emptiness! I call you!"
On the Blue Typhoon second bridge.
"He's merged with the energy of the Master Emerald. Somehow he's more powerful than ever now." Tails said and Cosmo's amulet started to glow.
"I'm here." she said.
Final Nova and Aqurius harden into a pulsating seed-like object. Phase Two had begun.
