WrestleMania 27: 3/4/2011
WWE WrestleMania 27 was live at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. s the show went live on pay-per-view, R&B singer Keri Hilson performed "America the Beautiful". Soon after, The Rock, the guest host, walked to the ring and cut a promo, mocking John Cena as well as firing up the crowd for WrestleMania.
In the first match Edge (with Christian) defended the World Heavyweight Championship against the 2011 Royal Rumble winner Alberto Del Rio (with Ricardo Rodriguez and Brodus Clay.) Early in the match, Del Rio focused on Edge's injured arm and Christian fended off Clay and Rodriguez. After some back and forth action, the ending came when Edge applied the Edgecator while Del Rio applied the Cross Armbreaker. When both men got up, Edge delivered the Spear for the win. After the match, Edge and Christian destroyed Del Rio's car. This was Edge's last televised match, as he retired the next week on Raw due to a legitimate neck injury. Edge has since been medically cleared to wrestle again, returning to in-ring competition nearly 9 years later at the 2020 Royal Rumble.[44]
The next match pitted Cody Rhodes against Rey Mysterio, who came out dressed as Captain America. Rhodes dominated most of the match, however, Mysterio managed to gain control later on. The ending saw Mysterio removed Rhodes' face mask and deliver headbutts but Rhodes countered by removing Mysterio's knee brace. When Rey went for a dive, Rhodes knocked out Mysterio with the knee brace and executed the Cross Rhodes for the win.
In the next match, Kane, Big Show, Santino Marella and Kofi Kingston faced The Corre which consists of Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson and WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in an 8-Man Tag Team Match. The match lasted two minutes, ending with Slater receiving a Cobra from Santino and a WMD from Big Show. Big Show then pinned Slater to win.
In the next match, Randy Orton faced CM Punk. Punk spent most of the match focusing on Orton's injured knee until Orton gained control later in the match. Orton then attempted a punt kick, but his injured knee stopped him. Punk attempted the GTS, but Orton went for an RKO. Punk dodged and went for a Springboard clothesline, but Orton delivered an RKO for the win.
In the next match, Michael Cole (with Jack Swagger) faced Jerry Lawler, with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee. For this match, Booker T and Jim Ross joined Josh Mathews on commentary. The match began with Lawler trying to get Cole out of his "Cole Mine", a small glass box that Cole would announce from. After some time, he did so and started attacking him. Cole managed to counter and had the upper hand on Lawler for most of the match. Swagger tried to help Cole by throwing in the towel when Lawler began to take control but was denied and received a Stone Cold Stunner. Lawler then forced Cole to submit with the ankle lock while Stone Cold mocked him. After the match, Stone Cold shared a beer with Lawler and stunned Booker T, who came out to celebrate with Lawler. After Lawler had seemingly won, the anonymous Raw GM reversed the decision in an email read by Mathews because Stone Cold was a biased referee, making Cole the winner by disqualification. Stone Cold then proceeded to stun Mathews as well in retribution. Lawler then replaced Mathews and Booker T as the color commentator for the rest of the night, with Jim Ross doing the play-by-play.
In the next match, John Cena took on The Miz. During the match, Cena delivered the Five Knuckle Shuffle to The Miz. Cena attempted the Attitude Adjustment, but Miz countered with a DDT. There was a lot of back and forth action until The Miz executed the Skull Crushing Finale and Cena executed an Attitude Adjustment on Miz - both for near-falls. Both men fought outside of the ring, knocking each other out in the process, and were counted out. The Rock came out to intervene, when a message from the Anonymous Raw General Manager arrived. The Rock went to read it, but then disregarded it and restarted the match under no disqualification, no count-out, no time limit stipulations. Cena dragged Miz back inside the ring and attempted an Attitude Adjustment. The Rock stalked Cena from behind and performed a Rock Bottom on him, in vengeance for the Attitude Adjustment six nights prior. Taking advantage, The Miz then pinned Cena for the win.
In the next match, The Undertaker faced Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match. Triple H entered to "For Whom The Bell Tolls" by Metallica wearing a mask and suit, then removed it for his normal entrance theme. Undertaker entered to "Ain't No Grave (Gonna Hold This Body Down)" by Johnny Cash wearing a hat and suit. The match began with Undertaker and Triple H brawling outside of the ring, destroying Michael Cole's "Cole Mine" in the process. Triple H delivered a spinebuster to Undertaker through a broadcast table. The match went back and forth, as Undertaker delivered a Chokeslam and a Last Ride, but Triple H kicked out of both. After, Triple H performed a Pedigree for a near-fall. Undertaker then performed the Tombstone Piledriver for a near-fall. Triple H then hit Undertaker with a chair to the head and delivered a DDT on the chair. After more back and forth action, Triple H executed a second Pedigree for another near-fall. Triple H immediately delivered the third Pedigree for a near-fall. After many steel chair shots, and telling Undertaker to stay down, Triple H executed Undertaker's Tombstone Piledriver for a near-fall. Triple H then grabbed a sledgehammer, but Undertaker applied Hell's Gate on Triple H. Eventually, Triple H submitted, meaning Undertaker's WrestleMania streak continued to 19–0. After the match, WWE Medical Staff had to help the Undertaker after he collapsed outside the ring and couldn't walk under his own power.
The penultimate match was a six-person mixed tag team match, which saw John Morrison, Trish Stratus, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi competing against a team consisting of Dolph Ziggler and LayCool (Michelle McCool & Layla). The match lasted a few minutes, with the ending coming when Morrison delivered Starship Pain on the outside of the ring to Ziggler and Snooki performed a cartwheel splash on McCool to get the win for her team.
Next match was the Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship.
In the arena, Three Days Grace had arrived to perform Riot. They got the song going as the Jackal came out and fist bumped the lead singer befor eheading down the ramp towards the ring where the Hell in a Cell had been lowered to the ring. Jackal had the WWE Championship on his shoulder. Over the past few weeks since Bladewolf revealed their match will be Hell in a Cell, Jackal has been sending messages and playing mind games, using tactics the Bladewolf would use.
Jackal enter the cell and the ring, handing his title to the referee. Jackal stares coldly at the stage.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf plays to a loud pop as the lights change to the sinister, blood red and out comes the Bladewolf. He walks down the ramp with his eyes on the man in the ring. He stops at the door of the cell and takes his coat off, tossing it aside. He then walks into the cell and slams the door shut behind him, the door being locked shut behind him as he enters the ring without taking his eyes off his opponent.
Jackal stares back with a glare as the two men stand across from each other. The referee then calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Bladewolf and Jackal walk forward and go eye to eye, leaning their foreheads against one another, mouthing off before they back up then suddenly rush at each other and go back and fourth with rights before Bladewolf ducks a right and floors Jackal with a hard uppercut that echoed then rebounds off the ropes and dropkicks Jackal in the chest. Bladewolf stomps away on Jackal viciously before backing off as jackal tries to recover. Bladewolf walks over and grabs him from behind before hitting a German Suplex across the ring, sending Jackal rolling out of it. Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks over, exiting the ring as Jackal gets to a knee but Bladewolf grabs him from behind before launching him into the cell wall.
Bladewolf then Irish whips jackal into the cell wall, sending him down. Bladewolf grabs Jackal and sends him back into the ring. He rolls in, grabs Jackal and Irish whips him off the ropes but they both meet with shoulder blocks that doesn't take them down. Jackal runs and rebounds off the ropes but Bladewolf got behind Jackal and hits a German Suplex, sending Jackal across the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks towards the challenger and stomps on his back before dragging him into the corner where he relentlessly stomps away before backing off. Bladewolf runs and crashes his knee into Jackal's body, pulls him away from the corner and goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! THR-! Jackal kicked out at two.
Bladewolf grabs Jackal in a waist lock before hitting a second German Suplex. He holds on as he then hits another German Suplex, then another, then another, and then another, hitting six in a row. Bladewolf lays on Jackal and drives his knees into Jackal's knees before hooking the leg but Jackal kicks out at two again. Bladewolf rolls out of the ring and looks underneath it, pulling out a steel chair and slides back into the ring, looking to hit Jackal...BUT JACKAL HITS A SPINEBUSTER OUT OF NOWHERE!
Jackal hooks the leg but Bladewolf kicks out at two. Jackal gets to his feet and stomps away on Bladewolf, dropping his knee to Bladewolf's gut. Jackal then picks up the steel chair and begins using it on Bladewolf, smacking the chair off his arms, legs, chest, back, anywhere he can hit to injure his opponent. Jackal then tosses the chair aside before picking Bladewolf up and gets him onto his shoulders but Bladewolf rights back with elbows to Jackal's head and then gets off before hitting a DDT out of nowhere.
Bladewolf sits up quickly and gets to his feet. He runs and hits an elbow drop on Jackal's chest before hammering away at Jackal's skull violently until Jackal is busted open! Bladewolf smirks at the blood before continuing the assault and the referee pulls him away to check on Jackal who says he wants to go ahead.
Bladewolf paces as Jackal slowly gets to his feet and runs at him, only to be taking down in a MMA style to gain the upper hand, punching anywhere on Jackal's body. Bladewolf knees Jackal in the side of the ribs before headbutting him multiple times, getting blood across his forehead. Bladewolf wipes it off before standing up, pulls Jackal to his feet and onto his shoulders... WHERE HE HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! JACKAL KICKS OUT BEFORE THREE!
Bladewolf looked at Jackal before he shakes his head then gets to his feet and grabs Jackal, tossing him out of the ring and follows him. Bladewolf grabs Jackal and then tosses him into the steel steps, causing Jackal to hold his shoulder. Bladewolf picks Jackal up and looks at the steel ring post, looking to bash Jackal's head off it...BUT JACKAL PUSHES BLADEWOLF HEAD FIRST INTO THE STEEL POST!
Bladewolf fell to a knee and Jackal takes advantage by picking up another steel chair...AND WHACKS IT OFF BLADEWOLF'S BACK!
Bladewolf falls onto his hands and knees and Jackal uses this chance to lull a sledgehammer out from underneath the ring...AND DRIVES IT INTO BLADEWOLF'S GUT!
Jackal tosses the hammer aside and grabs Bladewolf before bouncing his head off the steel cell then tosses him into it. Jackal then places Bladewolf's head against the cell wall and grinds it against the steel. Jackal bounces Bladewolf's face off the cell wall then picks up a steel chair, waits until Bladewolf turns around...AND CRACKS HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!
Bladewolf goes down onto his back, Jackal laughing as he drops the chair.
Jackal tosses Bladewolf back into the ring and then looks underneath it for something, pulling out a table and slides it into the ring, rolling into the ring after it. He picks the table up and sets it up into the middle of the ring. He then delivers a hard right to Bladewolf's skull and goes to pick him up, but Bladewolf suddenly lifts him into a Fireman's Carry...AND HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL THROUGH THE TABLE! HE GETS AN ARM OVER JACKAL! ONE! TWO! THRE-! NO! JACKAL KICKED OUT! THAT WAS A CLOSE 3 COUNT THOUGH!
Bladewolf struggles to get to his feet. Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks over to Jackal, picking him up and Irish whips him into the corner before hitting a turnbuckle clothesline then rolls out the ring, looks underneath and pulls out two tables and tosses them back into the ring.
Sliding back in, Bladewolf sets the two tables up, stacking one on top of the other and turns around only to be booted in the gut then lifted up into the powerbomb position by Jackal...WHO HITS THE JACKAL BOMB THROUGH THE TWO TABLES! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
Jackal growls in anger and annoyance before he gets to his feet, picks Bladewolf up and tosses him out of the ring. Jackal follows, lifts Bladewolf up and tosses him into the cell wall before taking a few steps back. He sprints...AND SPEARS BLADEWOLF THROUGH THE CELL WALL!
The crowd were cheering like crazy! 'Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!
Jackal was the the first to his feet and grabbed Bladewolf before lifting him up...AND SLAMS HIM THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Jackal leans against the cell wall before he grabs Bladewolf and began beating him down real bad before he stops then looks up at the top of the cell and smirks before he begins climbing it to cheers from the fans.
Bladewolf struggles to get to his feet after all the pain he's gone through and see Jackal climbing the cell so he follows him. Jackal reaches the top and sees Bladewolf climbing as well so he backs away, gesturing for Bladewolf to bring it. Bladewolf reaches the top and stands up, staring daggers at Jackal who returns the same look. They run at each other and throw fists on top of the cell, going back and fourth with a fist for fist exchange.
Jackal boots Bladewolf in the gut and goes for a suplex off the cell but Bladewolf wiggles out, reverses it and hits his own suplex on top of the cell! Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Jackal and lifts him onto his shoulders, looking for a third Wolf's Howl but Jackal gets out of it, boots Bladewolf in the stomach then lifts him up...AND HITS THE JACKAL BOMB ON THE CELL!
Jackal falls onto his side, just dead tired and the blood loss wasn't helping, same with Bladewolf. Both men were exhausted but were not going to stop until one of them comes out the winner.
Jackal gets to his feet and walks over, grabbing Bladewolf and prepares to end this as he gets Bladewolf ready for another Jackal Bomb but Bladewolf falls to his knees...AND HITS A LOW BLOW!
Jackal yells as he falls down onto his back, coughing and groaning in pain. Both men were down.
George spat blood out his mouth then whispers to his brother. "You ready for this?"
"Hell yeah." Jack replies, luckily the crowd didn't see it nor was any camera close enough to see it.
Getting back into character, Bladewolf gets to his feet. He grabs Jackal, lifts him up into the powerbomb position...AND HITS THE LAST RIDE! JACKAL GOES THROUGH THE CELL AND CRASHES INTO THE MAT!
The crowd was going crazy as they popped loudly in shock, cheering louder than ever before tonight. 'HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!'
Bladewolf stares down at the un-moving form of the Jackal and does the throat slit gesture to a crowd pop before he begins climbing down into the ring. The referee is checking on Jackal but Bladewolf tosses the referee aside, picks Jackal up...AND HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF WINS! BLADEWOLF IS THE NEW WWE CHAMPION!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back. He stares ahead of him as the cell is raised and he is soon handed the WWE Championship. Bladewolf raises his 9th WWE Championship as fire shoots out the turnbuckles and fireworks go off.
The Bladewolf was once again WWE Champion...
And that's it for this story. I hope you all enjoyed it. The next one will be shorter because Bladewolf will end up being a part-timer at one point, only showing up for WrestleMania like Undertaker did before the Streak ended.

In September 1997, he was approached by Jim Ross about a contract with the WWF and George accepted, having his tryout match at the WWF's UK One Night Only PPV where the Bladewolf made his debut and proceeded to destroy Tiger Ali Singh in dominating fashion as part of the character and win the match, starting the beginning of George's big time wrestling career.
Over the next few weeks, Bladewolf would face superstar after superstar and defeat them in quick, dominating fashion. He defeated Dude Love at Badd Blood: in Your House, Triple H at Survivor Series, Marc Mero at D-Generation X: in Your House, a feud that became real life issues due to George sleeping with Mero's real life wife, Sable, yet it was discovered Sable was being abused by Mero.

Bladewolf was denied a rematch by Vince McMahon, which caused him to go on a rampage and destroy several superstars. Bladewolf was then given a shot at the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Over the Edge: In Your House, where he defeated the Rock to win the title for the first time and become the youngest at 21 years old.
