Armageddon: 16/12/2007
WWE Armageddon was live at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The opening match was Rey Mysterio, Jackal, and Montel Vontavious Porter for MVP's WWE United States Championship. Mysterio used his quickness and aerial techniques to be on the top. Mysterio wrestled a good match by sending MVP who crashed on the arena floor and then he executed a hurricanrana on MVP. Mysterio got into the ring to break the referee's 10 count and MVP also got up at the 8 count, but he simply walked out instead of coming back into the ring after he climbed on the ring apron. Jackal hit a double spear on MVP and Mysterio to pick up the win and the WWE United States Championship for the 4th time.
The second match was a tag team match in which ECW Champion CM Punk teamed up with Kane against Big Daddy V and Mark Henry. V and Henry dominated the match by destroying Punk and Kane. The two managed to control in the middle of the match when Punk was able to bring V to one knee but V overpowered Punk by executing a body avalanche and a Samoan drop on Punk to get the victory.
The third match was between Shawn Michaels and Mr. Kennedy. Michaels reeled Kennedy in the beginning of the match. A stomp by Michaels injured Kennedy's left hand. Michaels went on to execute a diving elbow drop on Kennedy and then he also attempted a Sweet Chin Music but Kennedy countered it into a roll-up. Michaels kicked out but Kennedy continued to punch Michaels with his injured left hand, further injuring Kennedy. Michaels executed a Sweet Chin Music for the victory.
The fourth match was a number one contender's match between Jeff Hardy and Triple H. The pre-match stipulations were that the winner would get a WWE Championship match at the 2008 Royal Rumble. Before the match started, Hardy and Triple H shook hands. During the match, Hardy seemed dazed after he suffered a series of clotheslines and shoulder blocks. Triple H tried to execute a Pedigree but Hardy countered it into a jackknife pin which won Hardy the match. As Hardy celebrated Triple H was smiling at the fact that he was pinned so easily, Triple H then celebrated with Hardy.
The fifth match was between Finlay and The Great Khali. The referee's back was turned and he was distracted by Finlay until Hornswoggle took advantage and hit a shillelagh in the groin of Khali. Finlay hit a shillelagh in the head of Khali followed by a successful pinfall victory for Finlay.
Next up was the No Holds Barred match for the WWE Championship.
In the arena, Chris Jericho's theme hits and out comes Y2J who makes his entrance down to the ring. Jericho enters the ring and poses a few times before his theme dies down as he stares at the stage.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dark Side plays as fire explodes on the stage and out comes the Bladewolf with the WWE Championship on his left shoulder and the WWE Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf walks down towards the ring and enters it, never once taking his eyes off Jericho who stared back with an unflinching gaze. Bladewolf hands his titles to the referee who hands the Intercontinental Title to someone at ringside before he holds up the WWE Championship as the Bladewolf's theme dies down.
The referee gives the title to somebody at ringside then calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Jericho charged at Bladeowlf who blocks a kick then nails a hard right to the skull of Jericho. Bladewolf knees Jericho in the stomach multiple times before getting behind him, grabs him from behind and hits a German Suplex. Jericho rolled out the ring quickly as Bladewolf stares him down. Bladewolf then walks forward and leaves the ring, grabbing Jericho and knees him in the stomach a few times.
Bladewolf Irish whips Jericho into the barricade before he runs and goes for a knee to the chest but Jericho moves out the way and Bladewolf's knee hits the barricade. Jericho trips him up before stomping away on him. Jericho then looks underneath the ring and pulls out a Kendo stick. He shrugs...AND BEGINS WHACKING BLADEWOLF MERCILESSLY WITH THE KENDO STICK!
The stick breaks and Jericho tosses it aside before he hits a leg drop to the chest and then picks Bladewolf up before their fights heads further up the stage and Bladewolf lands a few heavy right shots to Jericho's head before kneeing him in the stomach. Bladewolf then sends Jericho into part of the stage set before he walks over and pulls Jericho out. Bladewolf then goes for a suplex but Jericho punches him in the ribs multiple times to make the WWE Champion release him.
Bladewolf hits a hard right and Jericho stumbles back and then heads backstage with Bladewolf in pursuit of him. Bladewolf clobbers Jericho from behind and rams his head of a table with food and water on it. Bladewolf grabs the bottles and smacks them fof the back of Jericho's head, even pouring one all over Jericho before tossing it aside. Bladewolf then picks Jericho up...AND SLAMS HIM THROUGH THE TABLE!
Bladewolf flips his hair back before he picks up a steel chair and tosses it onto Jericho then grabs a box and goes to move it but Jericho attacks him from behind and rams his head off the box until Bladewolf falls down to his knees. Jericho then pulls the box back before he send sit sliding right into Bladewolf. Jericho runs off with Bladewolf pushing the box away and runs after Jericho.
he follows him to the parking lot but lost sight of him...QHEN JERICHO BLINDISDES HIM WITH A CHAIR SHOT TO THE BACK! Jericho unloads with the chair on Bladewolf before he tosses it aside then grabs Bladewolf and drives him into the side of a car before hammering away all over the WWE Champion. Bladewolf fights back with a few punches and Jericho runs off again with Bladewolf once again chasing after him, their chase ending up at the Gorilla position where they continue fighting.
They eventually end up at ringside with Jericho ramming Bladewolf into the barricade before sending him over the steel steps! Jericho walks over and grabs Bladewolf who hits a few knees to Jericho's stomach, giving Bladewolf some time to recover as he leans against the SmackDown announce table. Jericho runs but Bladewolf side-steps...AND JERICHO CRASHES INTO JBL!
Bladewolf pulls Jericho out from the table and tosses him back into the ring before he slides in himself. Bladewolf flips his hair back then grabs Jericho before lifting him onto his shoulders, looking four the Fury of the Wolf but Jericho slides off and Bladewolf turns around...INTO A CODEBREAKER! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THRE-! BLADEWOLF KICKS OUT!
Jericho grabs Bladewolf, turns him over...AND LOCKS IN THE WALLS OF JERICHO! WILL BLADEWOLF TAP OUT?! Before Bladewolf could think about it...JBL BOOTS JERICHO IN THE FACE! JBL glared down at Jericho before leaving the ring and heads to the back.
Bladewolf stumbles to his feet and flips his hair back before he grabs Jericho, lifts him up...AND HITS THE WOLF'S FANG! HE HOOKS THE LEGS! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF RETAINS!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays as Bladewolf gets to his feet and is handed the WWE and Intercontinental Championships. He raises them before he turns around...INTO AN RKO! IT WAS RANDY ORTON! RANDY ORTON IS BACK!
Orton glares down at Bladewolf before he backs up into the corner and watches Bladewolf before he runs...AND HITS THE PUNT KICK! Orton laughs as he looks down at the knocked out WWE Champion before he picks up the WWE Championship and raises it with the crowd booing him.
Orton drops the title and leaves as Bladewolf is tended too...
Randy Orton is back, having been out sicne No Mercy and the Last Man Standing match where he got Chokeslammed off a stage by the Bladewolf. Orton wants the WWE Championship and it seems he'll do anything to get it.
