Situation: Conrad and Joy discover that Alexandria will be born with a heart defect

Nervously and anxiously, Joy sits besides me. We are waiting for the doctor to come in with our amino test results. "Everything will be okay" I assure my wife who is struggling to stay calm. Congenital heart failure runs in her family. She fears Alexandria may be born with a heart defect. "I don't know what I will do if something is wrong with Alexandria. I know how much you want to have a normal child. It is early enough in the pregnancy where I can have an abortion if need be" Joy reminds me. "I will love Alexandria whether she has a disability or not" I vow.
