A/N: I plan on writing more on this little getaway I'm having, but I just thought I'd post these pairings for now. Hopefully there will be more coming next week!

~~ Caspian and Sol ~~

Caspian was careful to get things in order with the patrols before he planned on leaving for the Towns. He was not irresponsible when it came to his duties, and he would not go off without making sure a proper roster was in place. However, when everything was settled, he started to pack a bag with some supplies for the Towns. He was careful, not wanting the supervisors to know of his plan to look for Aspen. It was more of a selfish quest than anything else – he was not doing it for the Hunt, but instead for his own desire to check on Aspen.

Strapping his short sword to his side, he hesitated when he heard someone approaching, kicking his bag away into one of the shrubs to hide it.

"Planning on going somewhere?" Sol's smug voice was unmistakable, and Caspian sighed inwardly, having hoped that he could avoid such a confrontation. Sol would not be able to stop him from going.

Turning to look at him, Caspian kept his expression measured. "I have lots of things to attend to, so I don't have time for your questions." Straightening, he moved to brush past Sol, but Sol caught his injured arm to stop him.

He hid a wince, inhaling sharply, before Sol released it. "I don't doubt you're planning on going to the Towns to seek out your beloved faerie. Don't even try to hide it."

Setting his jaw at Sol's tone, he raised his chin, unable to hide a hint of annoyance. "What? Are you here to stop me?"

"No, on the contrary," Sol continued, a glint in his eyes, "I want you to find him and bring him back here. Drag him back if you have to. We can't have runaway faeries. It's a bad look."

Caspian paused, not wanting to make any promises. After all, he didn't doubt that Aspen wouldn't want to come back. He'd made it clear that he'd never liked it in the Faerie. However, leaving with Sol's blessing certainly would make things easier. "I am planning on finding him and I do want to bring him back. I will if I can."

"Good," Sol said, watching him carefully. "I hope you don't disappoint me, Caspian. I'm sure you know there will be repercussions if you fail me. If you come back without him, then you will pay. And if you run off with him, then I will hunt you both down."

"I'm not stupid," he replied, brusquely. "I know what you want, and I'll see what I can do."

Sol eyed him for a moment longer, before taking a step back. "You'd best be on your way then."

It was still surprising that Sol was letting him go, and Caspian reached down to pick up his bag, before straightening and starting away. He still didn't know what he would do when he did find Aspen – he could not contemplate the possibility of not finding him – all he knew was that he couldn't go on like he had been. It was likely to drive him crazy, and not in a good way. He couldn't even be sure of how Aspen would react to his presence, although he didn't doubt it would be badly. Sighing, he headed for the gate to the mundane world, feeling a sense of anxiousness over what might ensue.

~~ Savannah and Nathan ~~

Listening in on a Clave meeting, Savannah was one of the only ones nearby taking notes. She took her work seriously, after all, and any kind of meeting did affect her. Her boyfriend was away for the week on Clave business, which made it easier for her to concentrate, anyway. She'd caught up with some Clave members before the meeting had started, and she was hoping for a quick getaway afterwards, since she didn't have to linger talking to her boyfriend.

The meeting however went longer than expected, and as she exited the hall, she heard a familiar voice. "It's good to see you, little sis."

Turning, she was unsurprised to see her brother, Nathan. He also had a lot of connections in the Clave, and he stood with a group of friends, his arm slung over a girl's shoulder. Rolling her eyes, she straightened. The term annoyed her, but she was sure he enjoyed using it in front of her friends. "We don't often run into each other, do we?" she replied, smoothly. While they both attended Clave meetings, they were both often busy with their own work and connections.

"Excuse me," he said to his friends, drawing his arm back and flashing them one of his perfect smiles. They both had nice teeth and features, something which came in very handy. Moving to catch up to her, he walked beside her. "What have you been busy with?"

"I'm sure you've heard of my new role," she said, glancing at him sidelong. There was a hint of smugness to her words, as it was a role that was purely hers. "I've been busy dealing with Seelie matters."

"Yes, I did hear," he agreed, his brown eyes curious. "It is unusual, a Shadowhunter being able to visit the Seelie Court like that. I hope you are making… good choices. We don't need any more dramas with faeries, as I'm sure you're aware," he remarked, referring vaguely to their family's history.

"I don't have any close connections to any Seelie," she responded, raising her chin. "You don't need to warn me of that."

"Good," he replied, watching her for a moment longer, before he turned his gaze to watch the other Shadowhunters leaving the meeting. "My own work has been keeping me occupied. Mum and Dad probably already told you about that."

"Of course they did," she agreed, knowing that he was working his way up in the Clave. He was already the Head of an Institute, although she hoped to soon follow suit. Her competitive nature made it hard for her to congratulate him or to even seem excited, but she decided to try and make an effort. "I'm sure you'll take care of the Institute."

"That is my goal," he nodded, and their gazes met for a moment, before she turned away. "Anyway, I'd better get back to New York. I have some things to take care of."

"I'm sure you do," he said, adjusting his coat. "See you at our next family dinner."

Savannah made a sound of agreement, giving a quick wave of her hand in dismissal, before she started away. It grew tiring competing with her brother sometimes, and she wasn't particularly in the mood for it that day.

~~ Devi and Naya ~~

Knocking on the door of Naya's manor, Devi waited a little anxiously. It had been the longest he could remember going without seeing her – Jacob, the son of a family friend had been staying over for a week, and Devi had left it a couple of days after he'd left before visiting. Even if such worries might seem irrational to others, he couldn't help but wonder whether she had liked Jacob's company better than his own. After all, he and Naya had met out of proximity, and she hadn't had many other options in terms of people to befriend.

He resisted the urge to frown when she took her time answering the door. Did she not want to see him? Finally, she opened the door, and he scanned her, surprised to see her still dressed in her pyjamas. "Hey… Aren't you training today?" he asked, his surprise evident in his voice. She was usually up early, sticking to her training routine. "I just thought I'd come and join you."

"I… must have slept in, past the alarm," she replied, although he got the feeling that she might not have been telling the truth. Pushing some hair behind her ear, she opened the door wider, taking a step back. "Come on in. Just give me a minute to get changed, then we can train."

"Okay…" he replied, following her inside and letting her close the door behind him. "I'll make you a coffee to help wake you up, if you'd like."

Naya made a sound in agreement, before she moved away to head to her room. Making his way to the kitchen, Devi walked over to the coffee maker, grabbing a mug and starting to make it, how he knew she liked it. While he waited, he contemplated over why she seemed a little off.

Sitting down at the table, he placed the mug down at her seat. Not long after, she joined him, sitting down and picking it up. She went to take a sip a little too quickly before he could protest, and she made a face, lowering the mug again.

"You need to give it time to cool down," he sighed, shaking his head slightly at her actions, knowing she would have burnt her tongue.

"It always takes too long," she said, although she didn't yet take another sip, setting her mug down to instead tie her hair up.

"How did it go? With um… Jacob?" Devi asked hesitantly, looking over at her.

"It was fine," she responded, although she avoided his gaze when she said it. "Agnes had to leave early for some pressing Clave thing, so Jacob ended up teaching me some things in the end."

"Oh. Well, I guess it's good to learn some different techniques," Devi replied, feeling a little awkward talking about the topic.

"Yup," Naya said briefly, taking a sip of her drink once it had cooled down.

She was still avoiding his gaze, and it only added to his nerves. "You're acting weird," he blurted out, finally.

"I'm not acting weird," she protested. "You're the one being weird about it. I'm just tired."

"It's just…" Trailing off, Devi didn't finish his thought. "I don't know. Sorry. I guess it's just strange not seeing you for so long."

"It kind of is," she nodded, reaching out to catch his hand and to squeeze it briefly in a reassuring gesture. "It's good to see you again. I did miss you, you know."

"I missed you too," he admitted, with a slight smile.

Laughing, Naya pushed her chair out and rose to her feet, her mug gripped in her hand. "Come on, then. Let's go train," she said, beckoning him with her hand. "I'll drink on the way."

"Okay," Devi agreed easily, pushing his chair in and following her. He decided to push aside the earlier awkwardness for now. Whatever it was that was bothering her, he hoped she would tell him later.
