RAW: 28/1/2008
Monday Night RAW was live at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Last night John Cena had made a surprising return and won the 2008 Royal Rumble. But earlier in the night it was announce that Cena was NOT going to fight Orton at WrestleMania, instead he was going to wrestle Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at No Way Out. But who was going to fight for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania? To answer that William Regal's theme music hit and the RAW General Manager came down to the ring to announce what was going to happen.
"Whoever is WWE Champion after No Way Out," began Regal, "will face the winner of the most brutal, unforgiving structure in the WWE." Regal paused and a video featuring the ELIMINATION CHAMBER appeared on the TitanTron. "THE ELMINATION CHAMBER!" continued Regal, "the sole survivor… will be designated the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. The participants include: SHAWN MICHAELS!" a video clip of HBK appeared on the TitanTron, "CHRIS JERICHO!" a clip of Y2J replaced the one of HBK, "JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD!" a clip of JBL replaced the one of Y2J, "JEFF HARDY!" the crowd cheered loudly as a Hardy clip appeared on the TitanTron, "AND EVEN… THE GAME TRIPLE H!"
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dark Side plays to a loud pop and out comes the Bladewolf, dressed in the same attire as last night, with his WWE Intercontinental Championship on his right shoulder. He makes his way down the ramp and climbs onto the ring apron, stepping over the top rope to enter the ring.
His theme dies down as he stares Regal down. He grabs a microphone and flips his hair back to get it out of his face. "The next choice in that match...better be me, little man...or else."
"Are you threatening me?" asked Regal.
"I am threatening everyone." Bladewolf said. "But, I will hunt down the next two choices and make them reconsider being inside that Chamber."
"Let me get this straight," commented Regal, "you WANT to be in the Elimination Chamber match? That match is the most barbaric, the most brutal match in the entire WWE… and you're willing to hurt someone to get into it? Oh wait, look at who I'm talking to! A guy that would take sadistic pleasure in beating people up inside Hell in a Cell. This Chamber is practically HOME for you!"
"I have never been inside an Elimination Chamber...and I wish to change that. I am using my rematch clause to get myself in that Chamber, then face the WWE Champion at WrestleMania." Bladewolf said coldly as he stared Regal down with his demonic, hellfire eyes.
Regal turned to the fans. "Do you want the WWE Intercontinental Champion Bladewolf to be included in the Elimination Chamber Match at No Way Out?" The response was a resounding loud cheer. "Well, it seems like they've reached their decision," commented Regal, "and so have I. Bladewolf… the final entrant in the Number One Contender Elimination Chamber Match will be…" Regal paused and gestured to the TitanTron behind Bladewolf, causing Bladewolf to turn to it. The fans erupted in cheers as a clip of Bladewolf appeared on the screen, "YOU!"
Even though the mask covered his entire face, everyone could hear the smirk in Bladewolf's voice as he spoke. "You made a good decision, Regal."
"Well then, sunshine," said Regal, "you're in the match, may God have mercy on your soul!"
Suddenly Omen in the Sky plays and out comes the Jackal, the former WWE United States Champion who lost the title in a Looser leaves SmackDown match on the first SmackDown of 2008. Now he was back on RAW.
Jackal enters the ring and gets in Rega;'s face, ignoring his former tag team partner. "Regal, I deserve to be in the Chamber as well! I was in the final four with Batista, Cena, and Triple H last night!"
Regal sighed before he looked between Bladewolf and Jackal. "Alright, here's how it's gonna go! You two are going to be in a match! Tonight, in a No Holds Barred match, it will be the Bladewolf vs the Jackal where the winners enters the Elimination Chamber!"
The crowd popped at that as Regal leaves, leaving Bladewolf and Jackal in the ring to stare each other down...
Later
RAW came back from commercial when Omen in the Sky plays to cheers and out comes the Jackal who was looking to earn himself championship gold but to do that he needs to get inside the Elimination Chamber...and to do that he needs to beat up his former friend and tag team partner. Jackal enters the ring and waits as his theme dies down.
OOOOOOWHOOOOOO!
Dark Side plays to a loud pop and out comes the Bladewolf with the WWE Intercontinental Championship on his left shoulder now. He walks down the ramp towards the ring and climbs onto the ring apron, entering in between the ropes. He stares Jackal down as he takes off his coat and hands his title to someone at ringside. Bladewolf and Jackal stared each other down as the referee calls for the bell.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The two circle each other before they locked up and had a test of strength only for Jackal to break it and shove Bladewolf back. The two former tag team partners and champions stare each other down before Bladewolf just boots Jackal in the face. Jackal backed off and got to his feet.
Bladewolf furiously hammers away at Jackal who covers up from the assault before he rolls them over and unleashes a fury of lefts and rights until Bladewolf rolls them over and keeps up the assault with hammering hard rights. Bladewolf then backs off and adjusts his elbow pads as his demonic hellfire eyes glare at Jackal who started getting to his feet.
Bladewolf wastes no time in charging over and tackles Jackal into a corner, throwing lefts and rights as Jackal covers up. Bladewolf drives his knees relentlessly into Jackal's gut before pulling him close and hitting a belly-to-belly suplex. Jackal rolled out of the ring to gain his bearings as Bladewolf told him to bring it.
Jackal rolled into the ring and the two locked up with a test of strength before breaking it when neither could overpower the other. Bladewolf landed a right to Jackal's gut before driving his knee into his gut then applied a headlock takedown, landing a few rights to Jackal's skull before breaking the hold and drops an elbow onto Jackal's back. Bladewolf gets to his feet, grabs Jackal and Irish whips him off the ropes but they both meet with shoulder blocks that doesn't take them down. Jackal runs and rebounds off the ropes but Bladewolf got behind Jackal and hits a German Suplex, sending Jackal across the ring.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and walks towards the Jackal and stomps on his back before dragging him into the corner where he relentlessly stomps away before backing off. Bladewolf runs and crashes his knee into Jackal's body, pulls him away from the corner and goes for the cover. ONE! TWO! THR-! Jackal kicked out at two.
Bladewolf grabs Jackal in a waist lock before hitting a second German Suplex. He holds on as he then hits another German Suplex, then another, then another, and then another, hitting six in a row. Bladewolf lays on Jackal and drives his knees into Jackal's knees before hooking the leg but Jackal kicks out at two again. Bladewolf rolls out of the ring and looks underneath it, pulling out a steel chair and slides back into the ring, looking to hit Jackal...BUT JACKAL HITS A SPINEBUSTER OUT OF NOWHERE!
Jackal hooks the leg but Bladewolf kicks out at two. Jackal gets to his feet and stomps away on Bladewolf, dropping his knee to Bladewolf's gut. Jackal then picks up the steel chair and begins using it on Bladewolf, smacking the chair off his arms, legs, chest, back, anywhere he can hit to injure his opponent.
Jackal then tosses the chair aside before picking Bladewolf up and gets him onto his shoulders but Bladewolf rights back with elbows to Jackal's head and then gets off before hitting a DDT out of nowhere.
Bladewolf slowly gets to his feet, using the ropes to help him. He runs and hits an elbow drop on Jackal's chest before hammering away at Jackal's skull violently until Jackal is busted open! Bladewolf smirks behind his mask at the blood before continuing the assault and the referee pulls him away to check on Jackal who says he wants to go.
Bladewolf paces as Jackal slowly gets to his feet and runs at him, only to be taking down in a MMA style. Bladewolf knees Jackal in the side of the ribs before headbutting him multiple times, getting blood across his mask. Bladewolf wipes it off before standing up, pulls Jackal to his feet and onto his shoulders... WHERE HE HITS THE WOLF'S HOWL! HE HOOKS THE LEG! ONE! TWO! THRE-! JACKAL KICKS OUT BEFORE THREE!
Bladewolf didn't seem to care as he got to his feet, grabs Jackal, tossing him out of the ring and follows him. Bladewolf grabs Jackal and then tosses him into the steel steps, causing Jackal to hold his shoulder. Bladewolf picks Jackal up and looks at the steel ring post, looking to bash Jackal's head off it...BUT JACKAL PUSHES BLADEWOLF HEAD FIRST INTO THE STEEL POST!
Jackal crawls away a bit as Bladewolf goes to a knee and the camera sees that Bladewolf has been busted open from the hit to the head. Bladewolf shakes his head and stands up before taking off his sleeveless shirt and uses it to wipe the blood away. Jackal uses this chance to pull a sledgehammer out from underneath the ring...AND DRIVES IT INTO BLADEWOLF'S GUT!
Jackal tosses the hammer aside and grabs Bladewolf before bouncing his head off the announce table then tosses him over it. Jackal then looks underneath the ring and pulls out a ladder, a very tall one. Nodding to himself, Jackal sets the ladder up in front of the announce table before grabbing Bladewolf and tosses him onto the table. Jackal hits a few right hands to make sure Bladewolf stays down. Jackal then begins climbing up the ladder until he was at the top. He stands on the very top of the ladder and looks around as the crowd were cheering before he shrugged and jumped off...AND HITS AN ELBOW DROP—BLADEWOLF MOVES— THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! JACKAL CRASHED INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!
The crowd were cheering like crazy! 'Holy Shit! Holy Shit! Holy Shit!'
Bladewolf rolled onto his back and got to his feet, using the ring apron to get to his feet. Bladewolf flips his long hair back before walking over to Jackal, grabs him and tosses him into the ring. Bladewolf rolls into the ring and grabs Jackal, pulling him to his feet before grabbing him by the throat, lifts him up...AND HITS A CHOKESLAM! BLADEWOLF GOES FOR THE COVER! ONE! TWO! THREE! BLADEWOLF WINS!
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
Dark Side plays as Bladewolf rolls out the ring and is given his title. The graphics on the Titantron show Bladewolf joining the others in the Elimination Chamber. Bladewolf flips his hair back before heaidng up the ramp with his title in hand...
And that's it for this chapter everyone. Bladewolf is in the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out where the winner faces the WWE Champion at WrestleMania. Will Bladewolf win? Will he get to Main Event WrestleMania for the third year in a row?
He's Main Evented WrestleMania 22, and WrestleMania 23. Hell, he's only Main Evented WrestleMania 14, WrestleMania 19, WrestleMania 22, and WrestleMania 23. Four WrestleManias in his career.
Will it be a fifth?
