We are expecting bad weather again late tonight, so I figured I would update.

Thank you everyone who has posted a review for me to read! I absolutely LOVE reading them! Thank you so much! You guys really keep me going. I really look forward to reading every single one of them. It really means a lot. Plus, the more reviews I get, the more I am inclined to post new chapters sooner. I have several finished right now, so we'll see what happens. ;-)

The next afternoon, Lorelai was busy putting up streamers and balloons all over the house. She had gone out first thing in the morning, and scoured the nearby party store for decorations. It was Cinco De Mayo, and she was determined to celebrate in style. She had bought everything she could find that would fit with her theme, then moved on to the next store for additional supplies. Luke had heard all about his wife's insane plans the evening prior, but clearly knew better than to stand in her way, so he had told her to have a great time while shopping, and kissed her goodbye. No one else knew what Lorelai was up to when she announced that she was heading out on an errand that morning, although, in hindsight, they probably should have. It was no secret that Lorelai loved parties, and was an expert at planning them. It was the one talent that she shared with her mother. Lorelai had shopped for 3 hours before finally heading back to Rory's house to execute her master plan.

Lorelai purposely waited until after lunch before she began her execution. Rory and Logan had run out to the HPG building, to check Rory's iron levels, then came home just in time to scarf down the lunch Luke had prepared for them, before deciding to take a nap with Ayribella. Lane was across the street at Honor's house, helping get ready for Honor's baby shower the next day, Richard had gone out to play some golf, and Emily had decided to run over to Mitchum and Shira's place across town to check on how they were doing. The only person in the house who wasn't asleep, was Luke, who previously had been out in the backyard, throwing the ball around for Logan's dog, Rocky, but had recently left for the train station, to pick up his daughter, April. With everyone otherwise occupied, Lorelai had the entire house to herself, while she busied herself decorating.

April had never celebrated Cinco De Mayo, Gilmore style, and Lorelai couldn't wait to introduce her to the craziness. However, as Lorelai thought about it, the only person in the family who had actually celebrated Cinco De Mayo, Gilmore style, was Rory. But even so, it had been several years since they had last been able to get together. Tonight was going to be a blast! Not only would Lorelai be able to celebrate Cinco De Mayo with her daughter again, as well as her step-daughter, she would also get to celebrate with her parents and granddaughter for the very first time. There would be 3 generations of Gilmores celebrating altogether, and that alone was the most exciting thing ever.

Lorelai reached for her cell phone, and quickly punched a few buttons before putting the phone to her ear. "Luke! I need you to pick up all the food on your way home. I'll text you the address right now . . . No, I don't have time to run out myself. I'm not done decorating yet. After you get April, take her with you to grab the food . . . It should all be ready. I stopped by there this morning, and placed a large order. It's already paid for. I just need you to pick it up . . . Thank you so much!" Lorelai said in a sing song voice, then hung up the phone, and went back to work.

* ~ * 5:00pm * ~ *

"Wow, you weren't kidding!" April's voice was heard as she followed Luke into the house, helping to bring in all of the food they had just picked up.

"Hola Senorita!" Lorelai said excitedly as she hurried into the foyer to greet her guests. "Welcome to Casa Huntzberger! Here are your Sombreros. There is a selection of ponchos to your left, and you are expected to wear them for the remainder of our event tonight." Lorelai told them as she placed large hats on their heads.

"I am NOT wearing this." Luke grumbled.

"Oh come on Dad, just go with it! It looks good on you." April told him. "Lorelai, this place looks awesome! I love your dress! That is gorgeous! I am so excited!"

"Why thank you! There is a pretty dress hanging in your bedroom. Let me take these bags from you, and you can head downstairs to get ready. When you are finished, please head upstairs and wake your sister. She needs to get dressed as well. Take a hat for both her and Logan, and grab Logan a poncho too."

"Will do!" April agreed as Lorelai took the large bags of food from her, then followed Luke to the kitchen.

"Lorelai, what can we do to help you?" Richard called out as he and Emily walked down the hall from their connecting apartment, toward the foyer.

"You had better be dressed appropriately!" Lorelai called back.

"It's been decades since I last attended such a lavish costume party. You really went all out!"

"Wow! Mom, you look incredible!"

"Really? I've never worn anything like this." Emily spoke up as Lorelai joined them in the foyer, seeing Emily wearing the red off the shoulder dress she had picked out, that was covered in embroidered flowers.

"That dress looks amazing on you! I knew it would look nice, but I honestly had no idea just how great! Wow! And Dad, look at you! That poncho really brings out your eyes! You two look great!"

"I do love the color blue." Richard told her. "What can we do to help you?"

"Luke and I are just setting out the food, and then I need to get the Margaritas ready. If you want to, the two of you can greet the rest of our guests. April just got here, and is downstairs changing, then she's heading upstairs to wake Rory and Logan. Honor, Josh and Lane should be heading over shortly. I delivered their clothing about an hour ago, so they should be here soon."

"Richard, why don't you greet the guests, and I'll go wake Rory and Logan." Emily told him.

"That sounds like an excellent plan, my dear!"

"Alright, well I will be in the kitchen if you need me." Lorelai told then, then turned and headed back to help her husband.

"Knock knock? Are you guys awake?" Emily asked as she knocked on Rory's bedroom door a couple of minutes later.

"Come on in, Grandma." Rory called, looking up as the door opened. "Wow! Grandma, you look incredible!"

"Thank you, Honey! What can I do to help you?"

"You can dress Ayribella, if you'd like to. Mom texted me saying she's got an outfit hanging in the nursery. That would save us some time, so we can get ready."

"I would be honored to! When is the last time that she was fed?"

"She just finished a few minutes ago. She just needs to be changed and dressed." Logan answered. "I'm just burping her now.

"Why don't you let me take her. I'll burp the baby, then get her changed while you guys get ready."

"Are you sure, Grandma? I can help."

"Don't be silly, Rory. I know how to take care of a baby. I did raise your mother, and I helped with you when you were born."

"Ok. If you're sure. Everything you need is on the changing table in the nursery."

"I've got it all covered." Emily told them as she walked around the bed and took the tiny baby from Logan's arms. "Did you guys have a nice nap?"

"We did. It was much needed." Logan told her.

"Good, you two need to rest as much as you can. Take your time getting ready. I'll take care of Ayribella, and meet you downstairs. Come on Sweet Girl, you and Grandma are going to go get you all ready for your very first party!"

"Thanks Grandma." Rory said as she watched her Grandma leave the room with her daughter.

"So far, this whole parenting thing is a piece of cake!" Logan smiled as he got up from the bed.

"Just wait until all the help leaves."

"Eh, it won't be so bad. We'll still have Rosalinda and Honor."

"It's nice to have help though. I've been reading a lot of horror stories from first time Moms, and we haven't dealt with any of the stuff that they have."

"And our baby is mellow. So far she likes to sleep. But I've heard that it doesn't last."

"I've heard that too. She might make you miss the graveyard shifts in the ER."

"You think so? Because they really weren't too bad."

"Let's just hope for the best." Rory told him as Logan helped her up from the bed and followed her into their closet to get changed.

"Hey Babe?" Logan started as he followed Rory into the closet, you don't think that your Mom hired a Mariachi band, do you?"

"Why would you even ask that?"

"Come here for a second. Do you hear that music?"

"Oh geez!" Rory said with a roll of her eyes after she stepped out of the closet and hearing the music making its way through the house.

"Lorelai wouldn't hire a Mariachi band to come play here, would she?"

"Um, hello, have you met my mother?! Do you remember the Zydeco band, back in college?"

"You just had a baby, two days ago! I thought we told her to keep the Cinco De Mayo party small?"

"We did."

"And?"

"She promised that it would only be us, April, Honor and Josh."

"And apparently a Mariachi band."

"Ayribella doesn't need to be exposed to all the extra germs."

"And my anxiety doesn't need the extra people." Rory added.

"So what do we do about the Mariachi band downstairs?"

"We stuff our faces full of tacos and I'll talk to my Mom about it tomorrow."

"What am I supposed to wear to this party anyway?" Logan asked with a sigh as Rory headed back into their closet to get dressed.

"Mom bought me a new dress. You can probably get by with jeans and a shirt. I'm sure she's got a sombrero or something for you downstairs."

"Is it even legal to have a party without Sookie?"

"Sookie specializes in fancy food, not tacos. And she's probably coming up tomorrow for your sister's baby shower."

"Speaking of which, what is your plan for the party?"

"Everyone is going except for me. I'll stay here with Lane and Ayribella. I'm not ready to be around that many people, and we aren't telling anyone that I had the baby yet anyway. You can just tell anyone who asks, that I'm at home, resting."

"And what answer to you want me to give when they ask about your due date?"

"Just say that it's coming up. It's the complete truth. They don't need to know that I delivered early. I already told Donna that she can stop by tomorrow morning, before the shower. The only other person at the shower who will know that our baby was born on Wednesday, is your mother, and I'm sure that you'll be all over her, to keep her big mouth shut."

"Speaking of my mother, when are we going to allow her and Dad to come by?"

"Maybe make it a bribe for after the shower, as a reward for keeping her mouth shut?"

"Do you really think that she's capable of that?"

"I'm sure that my Grandmother will be happy to babysit her."

"Is it bad that I don't even want to go to Honor's party? It's going to be a bunch my parents' friends that I can't stand to be around."

"You'll survive. You are going for your sister. You love your sister."

"I do love my sister, but I would much rather stay home with you."

"Stop whining. It won't be so bad."

"Did I mention that there is a chance that skanky Walker may be there?"

"Damn, now I want to go! Try to get that highlight on video for me!"

"You could see it for yourself, in person, if you were to go with me."

"And how would we manage that with hiding a brand new baby? I definitely still look pregnant, but not nearly how I looked a few days ago. People will definitely notice. Especially when they try to rub my stomach and feel how squishy and jelly like it is. It's pretty obvious that there isn't a baby in there anymore."

"Stop being so logical. I'm allowed to sulk in my own misery."

"How about you stop sulking and get dressed so we can go eat tacos?"

"Can't I just wear what I have on?" Logan asked, looking at the track pants and t-shirt that he was currently wearing.

"I'm fine with that, but Lorelai might not be."

"Well if Lorelai hates my outfit then she can come up here and tell me what the heck I'm supposed to wear, because I'm not the one she bought new clothes for."

"You don't like my dress?" Rory asked as she adjusted the white flowery off the shoulder blouse Lorelai had hung in her closet for her, with the matching pink skirt.

"It's pretty, but it's really not your style."

"It's a costume, Logan."

"I know it's a costume. I'm just saying, it's not something that you would normally choose for yourself."

"So you don't like it then?"

"I never said that I didn't like it."

"You said that it's not something that I would wear . . . I don't think that it looks too bad . . . It's just different. I can't exactly wear any normal clothes right now, Logan. Nothing fits me anymore, remember? Everything I wear has to be elastic and over-sized. But it doesn't make me look too fat, right? I don't look completely terrible?"

"I never said that you look terrible."

"But you never said that I look ok either. You said that this isn't my style."

"Rory . . ."

"I'm sorry that I can't be your perfect trophy wife right now, Logan! But I just gave birth to your daughter two days ago. It's going to take a while for me to be able to fit back into my normal clothes again." Rory said in a frustrated voice. "And I'm not trying to look picture perfect anyway. I'm just putting on the costume that my mother decided that I have to wear tonight, running a brush through my hair for the first time today, then I'm going to go downstairs and stuff my face full of tacos. And this isn't even a real party anyway! It's tacos! And it's my mom's excuse to stuff everyone's faces full of tacos, Loreali Gilmore style. No one even cares how I look, except for apparently you!"

"Rory, that's not what I said at all. I never said any of that. I don't hate the dress, and you don't look terrible at all. The dress it nice. It's different. You look nice. If you wanted to, you could add some jewelry and makeup, and you would look amazing! But you're right, this isn't a real party, and no one cares how we look. I'm sorry for being a jerk and getting you upset. I'm just a little stressed out about having extra people around our baby, and about having to deal with my sister's party tomorrow."

"It's fine, Logan." Rory finally sighed as she quickly brushed her hair out. "I'm sure my Mom got Margaritas. You should probably drink a few. It'll help loosen you up, and make you feel better."

"What's the fun in drinking when my wife is sober?"

"Because my mom, grandparents, Lane and my sister are going to be drinking all of the Margaritas without you, if you don't. Plus, you have to deal with your parents tomorrow, and that's way more fun when you're buzzed."

"Which means that I should be drinking tomorrow instead of tonight."

"There may not be any left by tomorrow, but I'm sure we can get more. You and Josh should celebrate though. You've both survived two pregnancies and this insane week."

"True story." Logan chuckled.

"So taco time?" Rory asked.

"I'm starving! Lead the way."

* ~ * 5 Minutes Later * ~ *

"Mom!" Rory yelled over the music as she walked through her house with Logan behind her, looking for her mother. "You better not have hired a Mariachi band! Do you not remember the Zydeco headache?"

"It's not a band, it's just Logan's fancy stereo that Lorelai suddenly figured out how to work." April said, stepping up next to her sister in the family room.

"Oh thank God! But still, it's LOUD!"

"Yeah it is! Your mother is crazy! Logan, you had better go grab a poncho and sombrero before Lorelai sees you without one. They're on the table by the front door. She already lectured Josh when he walked in."

"Go, you know my Mom." Rory told him, pushing her husband toward the foyer as she looked around at all the decorations Lorelai had hung up around the room. It almost looked like a crazy Mexican party store with all the streamers and banners Lorelai had hung up everywhere.

"Rory, you look great! I can't believe that you just had a baby two days ago!" April gushed, giving her sister a hug.

"Thank you! I feel like I look horrible though."

"No, you don't at all. You look amazing! You aren't even wearing makeup, and you still look good. It's completely unfair! I wish I looked like you."

"Are you kidding me?! I just brushed my hair for the first time today. You look amazing! You are gorgeous! I wish I looked like YOU!"

"Well thank you. I appreciate the compliment. But really, you do look amazing. And Ayribella is so freaking cute! I've been trying to pry her away from the adults, but they're all baby crazy. I haven't even gotten to hold my niece yet."

"Do you want me to go get her for you?"

"That's ok, I don't mind waiting my turn. I'm here for a couple of days, so I'm sure that I'll have plenty of time. Plus, I hear that everyone is going to Honor's baby shower tomorrow, so I thought that I would stay here with you and Lane, if that's alright with you."

"You don't want to go to the baby shower?"

"With THAT family? Not a chance!"

"Don't tell Logan that you aren't going. He's already trying to get out of it."

"Seriously? But it's his sister."

"I know. But he hates his parents' friends. He isn't exactly thrilled with the guestlist."

"Well, can you even blame him?"

"Not a single bit!" Rory chuckled. "I'm glad that you're here. I've missed you."

"I've missed you too. I hope that it's ok, I know that we haven't talked about it in a while, but you mentioned that I could move in after I graduated, so I brought a couple extra suitcases of stuff to leave here. I can have Dad take it to the Hollow if you've changed your mind."

"No, absolutely not! Mi casa es su casa! You know that. I would never change my mind. I want you here. Logan and I both do. Do you need help unpacking anything?"

"Maybe later. I had Dad take it all downstairs. I figure I'll go through it later. I'm just trying to get everything packed up before graduation. I figured that since I'm moving here anyway, anything that I don't need right away, I'd bring with me this weekend. It just makes it easier to move Graduation weekend. At least Dad won't have so much to transport for me."

"I wouldn't worry about Dad transporting stuff for you. I abused him pretty good when I first moved to Yale. Has he ever told you about my mattress?"

"No?"

"Ok, so when I moved into the dorms, my Mom didn't want me using an old gross mattress with who knows what kind of germs on it, so she bought me a new one. It was allowed and everything, but you have to get rid of the old mattress. Mom hadn't thought that far ahead. She didn't arrange for anyone from the school to come get the old mattress, so we put it in the back of Luke's truck, and then it turned into a fight about it being there, and where the mattress was going to go. Luke didn't want it, and Mom didn't know what to do about it, and was too embarrassed to ask the RA."

"Sounds like they had a fun little fight about that."

"Pretty much. Your Dad wasn't happy about it at all. Plus, Mom borrowed the truck and didn't return it when Luke needed it, and ended up staying overnight with me, because I was being a homesick cry baby, and it was just A LOT!"

"I did hear about her staying at Yale with you, your first night. She offered to do that for me, if I wanted her to."

"You should have taken her up on it. We had a blast! Mom ordered every kind of food delivery she possibly could, and we were rating them on the quality of the food, speed of service, and the hotness of the delivery guys."

"She definitely told me about that. Your Mom is the best! My mom would never do anything crazy like that."

"How is your Mom doing?"

"She is doing really well. She is excited to see you and Ayribella in a few weeks. I sent her a photo from Dad's phone after he picked me up. I hope that's ok? I know that you guys aren't announcing that you had your baby yet."

"It's fine. I'm sure your Mom isn't going to tell anyone. Tell her that I said hi. Maybe we can facetime her tomorrow or something."

"My mom would love that! She said that she's sending more gifts. She just got some super cute baby stuff in at the shop, so she's sending you a bunch."

"That is so sweet of her. Your Mom is really thoughtful."

"Margaritas!" Lorelai's excited voice called over the music as she walked into the room carrying two large plastic glasses, full of frozen liquid. "No driving for you Seniorita." Lorelai chirped, handing a glass to April. "And virgin for the new Mommy."

"Thanks Mom. Can we turn the music down, please? It's a little loud." Rory told her.

"Boo! You have a baby an become a party pooper!"

"More like it's too loud for my newborn's tiny ears. Let's turn it down, ok?"

"It's fine, Ayribella is outside with Grandma right now. She can't even hear the music out there."

"Outside, where paparazzi can be flying over with drones? Mom, come on, that's not safe."

"Please, I haven't seen any drones out there. And no one knows that it's your baby. It could be anybody's baby."

"Ok, let's turn the music down, please, and bring the baby back inside."

"Fine, little Miss Party Pooper! Way to be a kill joy!" Lorelai chided as she headed back the way she came.

"Hey, she's YOUR Mom, not mine!" April chuckled as they watched Lorelai go.

"Hey Kill Joy? Go find your disgustingly perfect husband, and make sure he's dressed properly. We're all hungry and waiting on both of you before we can eat!" Lorelai called out after she had turned the music down.

"How ridiculous do I look?" Logan asked, stepping up next to Rory and April.

"Like the whitest Hispanic guy I've ever met." April told him, as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone, quickly snapping a picture. "And I'll be saving this for blackmail, later on."

"Send it to me." Rory told her.

"Will do! Do you think Honor wants a copy too?"

"Oh most definitely!"

"And this is why I hate having sisters!" Logan told them.

"Oh come on, having sisters is the best! We're all pretty, and we smell good."

"You're all evil!"

"If I was evil, I would send it to Georgia too, since I didn't bring her with me."

"She has a cheer tournament or something this weekend, doesn't she?" Rory asked.

"Yep. I talked to her the other day. We are going to do lunch next weekend."

"Tell her hi for me. I haven't had a chance to talk to her much lately. We've texted a couple times, but that's it."

"She's been busy with practice and studying. She's leaving for Paris the day after my graduation. She is staying in town just long enough to say hi to you, then she's going to her Mom's for the summer."

"She'll have a good time in Paris. It's gorgeous there, and there is a lot to do."

"I've never been."

"Really? Well maybe we'll have to go toward the end of the summer, if you can get the time off work." Logan told them.

"For real?"

"Yeah, of course! Rory and I need to go visit the offices out there, you've never been, and we can say hi to Gigi while she's there. What do you think, Ace?"

"Sure. If you think it will be ok for Ayribella and I to travel that soon, then I'm ok with it."

"She'll be a few months old by then. Most airlines let you travel with much younger babies, and we'll be flying privately. I think it'll be a fun trip. And having April along with give us extra help with Ayribella."

"That sounds great!" April told them. "I'll have to see what kind of time off I can get from the hospital lab. They just offered me a job this week."

"April, that's awesome! Congratulations!"

"Thank you! It's entirely thanks to you, I know that you put in a good word for me."

"Hey, you don't need to thank me. I'm happy to help. And don't worry about getting time off. I'll talk to HR and get it worked out for you."

"Logan, you don't have to do that. I can talk to them. I don't want to put you in the middle of anything."

"Just make sure that you tell them that you'll need a week or so off for a pre-planned family trip. I'll start working on dates this weekend."

"They told me think things over and get them an answer next week, and then we'll figure out a starting date from there. I was hoping to go over everything with you while I'm here, if that's ok."

"Yeah, definitely! Why don't we talk tomorrow morning. Does that work for you?"

"That would be great! Thank you Logan! I really appreciate everything that you've done for me."

"It's my pleasure. Now, can we go eat?"

"Yes! The food looks amazing!"

"What all did my Mom get?" Rory asked.

"I think she ordered everything on the restaurant menu. They handed Dad and I several bags when we went to pick it all up. There are tacos, burritos, taquitos, beans, rice, toppings, all kinds of stuff." April told them.

"It smells amazing!" Logan commented.

"I had to sit in the car with all of it. Its been torture having to wait to eat."
