Ace had bought so many things. Sadly though, every time he had gone to the Whitebeard Comics stand, Marco Newgate had not been there. Ace had happily bought himself some updated comic editions, and some figures, but it was disappointing to never see the actual creator of them whenever he went.
.::.
Marco frowned. Once again Portgas D. Ace was not his stand. It was some of the other voice actors, and he had already visited all of them. He wanted to see Ace, and yet he never got the chance. It was beyond frustrating at this point.
Although, it was nice seeing the photo shoot with Ace topless. He had made sure to buy himself some of the high quality photos of Ace by himself, instead of by Chase's side. If he had gotten that one he would have been glaring at the grey haired man all the time, and that's not what he wanted to do when it came to a topless Ace.
He wanted to admire Ace. That wasn't so bad right?
Sullenly he headed back to his stand. The stalls around were pact full of crowds, people trying to push their way through each other. It wasn't long before Marco bumped into someone. He barely caught them when they tripped, and pulled the man back up to his feet.
"I'm so sorry yoi-"
Stormy grey eyes met his, and he instantly felt his brain melt. Dark wavy hair, smooth but somehow messy still, and a face with a dusting of freckles covered cheeks stood before him.
Portgas D. Ace.
He had Portgas D. Ace in his arms, and Ace looked just as astonished at him as Marco felt. Marco flushed, quickly lowered his hands from Ace's back and waist, while Ace scrambled back from him, going bright red.
"Y-You're-" Ace began.
"You're-" Marco blurted out.
"Newgate Marco!"
"Portgas D. Ace!"
They froze, staring at each other, before they burst out laughing. They were acting like fangirls, or boys, and jeez was that embarrassing. Marco took in a deep breath, and held out his hand.
"Allow me to start over yoi," Marco said, grinning. "I'm Newgate Marco."
"Portgas D. Ace," Ace beamed, shaking his head, before winking. "But you knew that already, didn't you?"
Oh jesus, that wink threatened to send his knees buckling.
"I've been visiting your stand but never managed to actually meet you in person," Marco admitted, chuckling. "Didn't expect to bump into you out here yoi."
Ace sheepishly rubbed the back of his head. "Ah, well, ironically I've been trying to meet you at your stand too."
"We've been missing each other all this time, haven't we yoi?" Marco groaned.
"It appears so," Ace laughed. "Hey, if you like, we could use this chance to chat with each other? Unless you're busy?"
"Not at all yoi. How about some coffee?" Marco asked.
"As long as I get something flavoured, then sure."
"You like sweet coffee yoi?"
"I have a bit of a sweet tooth. How about you?"
"As black as my soul," Marco teased.
They spent a couple of hours together, before going back to their stalls. Marco had been surprised when Ace asked him out to Kidd's costume party. Marco happily accepted, though he didn't have a costume. Ace merely winked, gesturing around them, before disappearing off into the crowd. Marco stared blankly after him for a few moments before it clicked.
Comic con. There were costumes in comic con. Although if he didn't hurry up all the good ones would be taken.
