On with the story
At Chocovine town.
"Osamu! Osamu!" Shirina called out to her little brother as he and his Garchomp are gone and everyone is trying to find them. "Osamu! Where are you?!"
They all look around for the two as they asked Officer Jenny and any person who had seen them. Their search went for a good hour as the sun is slowly setting for the day.
"Osamu!" Shirona called out to her son as she looks around everywhere in the town for him. "where could he had gone to?"
Soon everyone joined up again as they had no clue on where Osamu is at.
"how did it go downtown?" said Akira to Kirika who had gone downtown to find Osamu.
"no luck at all" replied Kirika while shaking her head. "the hotel?"
"his bag is still inside, that means he's still in town" replied Akira. "but where could he even had gone to?"
"the port, the Pokémon Center, and the Contest arena. We checked every area and inch of the town for him" said Kenji as Osamu couldn't be found in the town at all.
"he's not even answering his Poketch" said Shirona, as everyone tried contact Osamu's Poketch's number but got no luck..
"where could Osa-chan have gone to if he not even in town anymore" said Minny while thinking of where Osamu had gone too.
"if he's not in the town anymore….." said Ken as he rubs his chin and started thinking on where his son might be at before he looks towards the forest near the town "don't tell me that he had gone to the woods!"
"this is bad" said Kirika "I heard from Officer Jenny that there is going to be a very big storm hitting Chocovine town soon!"
The sound of thunder was soon heard as water started pouring down on the town.
"by soon, you mean now!" said Minny while covering her head from the rain.
"get to the Hotel, I'll go and find Osamu" said Ken as he grabs his Pokeballs and throws them into the air. Golurk, Garchomp, and Hydreigon appeared while Ken puts on his goggles on.
"but Ken" said Shirona before a loud thunder rang hard.
"just go! I'll be fine and I'll get Osamu back here!" said Ken before he gets on Golurk's back, the Automaton Pokémon flies away followed by Hydreigon and Garchomp.
"come on, Mama!" said Shirona as the rain started to get harsher than before.
Shirona looks at Ken before she followed Shirina and the others as they were all headed to the Hotel.
Osamu and Garchomp were in a cave at the forest as they were using it as shelter from the rain.
"it's a harsh rain" said Osamu seeing that the rain is dropping water hard down to the ground.
Garchomp growls in response before both heard a loud thunder from the storm outside and both saw a big flash of lightning next.
"and a very big storm" Osamu added while looking surprised as well as Garchomp who growls with a nod. The two decided to just wait out for the storm to settle while in the cave.
Osamu started to gather up some wood in the cave before piling them all up in a single spot.
"Garchomp, Fire Blast but at a low power one" said Osamu as Garchomp nodded before spitting out a small fire ball at the pile of wood, making a campfire. The night was coming, so they have to keep themselves warm for it.
"Osamu! Osamu!" Ken called out while riding on Golurk as he with his Pokemons did their best to find Osamu in the forest. They fly around to search for Osamu in the air, thinking that he is using the shade of a tree to stay dry from the rain. "Osamu!"
Ken looks around before he heard Garchomp growling at him which made him turn towards the Mach Pokémon.
"what's wrong? Did you find them?!" said Ken as Garchomp nodded before he flies down, Ken and Golurk with Hydreigon flies down after.
Garchomp leads them towards a cave where Osamu's campfire light it up, showing signs that he was inside.
"Osamu!" shouted Ken as he called out to his son.
Hearing his father, Osamu and Garchomp looks out and sees him coming.
"Papa!?" said Osamu surprised to see his father coming in.
Golurk landed down as so did Garchomp and Hydreigon, Ken got off Golurk's back before going to Osamu.
"Osamu, you ok?" said Ken as Osamu nodded. "good, come on"
Ken holds Osamu's hand as he pulls it gently. "let's get back to the town, it's not safe being out here when there is a storm"
"no" said Osamu as he pulls his hand away from Ken who looks at him. "I don't want to go back"
"Osamu? What are you saying?" said Ken looking at his son. "we have to go back before the storm gets any harsher!"
"no! I don't want to go back!" said Osamu before thunder rang and he started crying. "I don't want to go back…"
"Osamu…" said Ken before he hears the thunder ringing again as this made him look at the storm above. "damnit. Golurk, Garchomp, and Hydreigon get back in"
Ken calls back them into their Pokeball before he went into the cave with his son.
Shirona and the others got back to the Hotel, had a quick warm shower, and dried up. they were now waiting for Ken to come back with Osamu.
They all just wait for Ken to get back, but the storm seems very harsh and unforgiving outside that it might hinder him getting back to the Hotel with Osamu.
Shirona looks through the rained window as she is starting to get worried because it is going to be dark as night and the storm is not letting up.
"this is all my fault" said Shirona as she placed a palm to her face, sighing frustratedly in believing that she is the one that cause it all. "if I had more collect thinking, Osamu wouldn't had gone out on his own"
"please don't blame yourself, Mama. I am the one who caused this all" said Shirina rubbing her face with her hands. "if I had been a better big sister for Osamu…."
"would you two get a grip?" said Kirika while standing up and place her hands on her hips. "Osamu-chan is going to come back with Ken-san, believe me when I say that"
"I don't know, sis" said Minny as she looks at the storm outside. "that's a pretty rough storm. Rougher than any I've ever seen"
"Ken-san is the Champion Master of Unova, a storm like this ain't going to slow him down" said Kirika, believing that Ken would come back soon with Osamu.
"aaccho!" Ken sneezes in the cave as he takes off his dripping wet shirt, jacket, and jeans. Now only wearing a pair of black shorts on. "this storm is rough and cold"
Ken wrings his wet clothes before glancing towards Osamu who is sniffling while wiping away some tears on his eyes. He soon calls out Magmortar who he placed his wet clothes on its arms.
"help me out, Magmortar" said Ken as Magmortar nodded before the Blast Pokémon started to heat up its own body to the point that Ken's wet clothes started steaming up.
Ken sat down beside his son as Osamu still sniffles from his crying a few minutes ago.
"Osamu, why do you not want to come back?" said Ken softly while patting his son's back. Osamu wipes away some leftover tears on his eyes before sniffling once.
Ken waited for Osamu to answer but he never answered after 5 minutes passed. The father sighs as he knew that he shouldn't ask anything if Osamu is in such a mood.
"we should get more firewood" said Ken as he stands up and went around the cave to search for some remaining wood before starting to collect them all up.
Garchomp growls to Osamu before nudging its snout to him. Osamu pats the Mach Pokémon's snout before he looks at the campfire that Ken throws in more firewood to keep alive.
Ken sat back down beside Osamu before Magmortar got near his Trainer with Ken's clothes which were now dried.
"thanks, Magmortar" said Ken as he put on his now dried clothes on before calling back Magmortar to its Pokeball.
Ken grabs a stick and started to move the pile of firewood around, making sure that they won't run out so fast before looking at Osamu who stares at the campfire with a sad expression.
"Osamu, you hungry? Cause I saw some Panko Herbs in the cave" said Ken with a smile "they taste as good as your mother's cooking when they get roasted over the fire"
Osamu didn't reply as Ken sighs a bit before patting his head and gets up to get the Panko herbs.
A few minutes later, Ken returned with hands full of the Panko herbs which he sets down near the campfire. Ken started roasting the herbs one by one on the fire before throwing in more firewood to keep the campfire alive longer.
After a minute of roasting, Ken got the Panko Herbs done roasted.
"here Garchomp" said Ken as he throws some roasted Panko herbs to Osamu's Garchomp who bites them down and started chewing. Ken bites on some of the roasted Panko herbs before holding some for Osamu. "come on, Osamu. They're really good"
Osamu looks at the roasted Panko Herbs that Ken is holding before he holds it himself and took a bite. He chewed on it before he swallowed and had a small smile at how the roasted herb tasted a bit similar to Shirona's cooking.
"see? Just like your mother's cooking, right?" said Ken before he chewed on more of the Panko Herbs before throwing some for Osamu's Garchomp.
The three ate the pile of Panko Herbs before they finished it all in less than 10 minutes.
Ken throws in some firewood for the campfire as he made sure that it won't die before checking outside as it is still raining harshly.
"looks like we'll be stuck here for a while" said Ken in seeing the never-dying rain storm before looking at Osamu who is nodding off, looking sleepy. "Osamu?"
Osamu yawned a bit before he rubs his left eye, the drowsiness is kicking in for the young boy.
"just rest down if you're feeling tired" said Ken while taking off his jacket and folds it to make a makeshift pillow for him. "come on, lie down your head on this"
Ken gently made his son lay down on his side with his head on the makeshift pillow, while making sure that he is in a good sleeping position.
"there we go" said Ken as he caresses Osamu's head while the young boy is slowly falling asleep. "just go to sleep and I'll wake you up when the storm subsides, alright?"
Osamu nodded slowly before he falls asleep and was out light. Ken smiled before he hears the sound of the thunder ringing loud outside.
"better call Shirona and the others" said Ken as he activates his Poketch but got static on the screen. "great, the storm must be jamming my signal"
Ken taps on the Poketch screen a few times, trying his best to call Shirona but his action is only answered with lots of static.
"I guess waiting for the storm to end it is" said Ken as he sighs before he looks at Osamu's Garchomp who is growling to the outside of the cave. "what is it?"
Garchomp growls angrily as someone is coming into view outside in the rain.
"is that?" said Ken as he stands up and sees the person coming into view is none other than Lan. Seeing him Ken's face went serious and stern "you!"
"if it isn't the Unova Champion Master" said Lan with a smirk while his entire clothes are wet from the rain. He took a glance and sees Osamu sleeping inside. "and his spoiled son"
"what are you doing here?" said Ken as Garchomp growls at the man.
"as you can see, i was going to head to the next town for the next contest when this rain unfortunately came down on me" said Lan, motioning to the rain that is pouring down water on him. "and then, I went to find shelter and this cave seems to be the closest one"
Garchomp growls before glaring angrily at Lan, but Ken raises a hand and the Mach Pokémon stops before backing off.
"get in" said Ken as he had a serious stern stare at Lan.
"seems that the talk about you being generous to others whoever they may be was true after all" said Lan before getting into the cave.
