"Are you really not speaking to me?"
Olivia sealed a box with duct tape and looked out the window at the moving truck. She was getting married tomorrow, and she was finally moving everything out of her home and into Fitz home. She would continue to pay the mortgage for her grandma and great grandma. Bernadette continued to ignore her. It was a heated argument about Bernadette not taking responsibility for Sophia and Maya being burdened with an extra child.
"You know I don't mind keeping Sophia every blue moon. I'm worried about my mom. She can't raise your child and the babies."
"Do you know how tiring it is to keep Karen, Serenity and Savannah at once?"
"Yes."
"Not every day you don't. I don't want you to ever fix your mouth to say that you won't keep Sophia. I moved to DC to help Maya. I didn't think I was going to be taking care Karen and the twins. You expect me to have energy for Sophia after tending to your whiny baby the whole day?"
"My baby is not demanding like Sophia. Karen doesn't color my walls."
"If the baby isn't needy, why do you need a nanny?"
"Amelia is not wild like Sophia. I can give you some parenting tips."
"I raised your mama. I must be doing something right."
Julia laughed at Bernadette, "Maya is stupid like her mama. For once, I agree with Olivia. Amelia is well behaved."
"Mama shut up." Bernadette said.
"Nobody told you to have a baby. You can't get mad now that she can't sit still." Julia said.
Fitz didn't want to get in the middle of their argument, but it was getting late. He didn't want to move boxes from the moving truck in the dark. It was still cold and icy outside.
"We have a nanny, and we all get a long break. Why are you arguing?"
Julia walked away. Bernadette changed the channel. Olivia didn't want to complain about anything. She had to let Bernadette know she was concerned about Maya, and that is why she complained before hiring the nanny.
"We should go."
"I'll wait outside for you." Fitz said.
