To say that the past year was crazy would be the understatement of the millennium. If I was some other person, who didn't have my sense and abilities, I'd be dead. Plain and simple. Most of the time it was that man who wears the plague doctor mask. It was a game of cat and mouse for a time. I tell Hetty of my dance with this moron, and she takes it in stride.
"I'll put the word out. You just be ready." Hetty said.
"What exactly does that entail?" I asked.
"Just be ready." Hetty said, and then got up from her chair and left her office.
I'm standing there, in Hetty's office by myself, just staring at the empty chair. I pull my phone out of my pocket, and call in a favor.
"Sheik, I have a favor to ask." I said, as I was leaving Hetty's office.

The next week, or two, Sheik and I went to town looking for a way to smoke this maniac out.
"I've been following the man for the last year or two, but I can't find his hideout. It's in Los Angeles, and it's in this area here, but I can't seem to pin-point the exactly location." Sheik said, we were gathered around a digital map of L.A.
"Sounds interesting. Maybe we should start we you lost them, and work out from there." I said.
At that moment, a motion senor went off. Sheik brought the footage up, and we saw on the screen two S.W.A.T. units preparing to breach the building.
"I didn't say anything." I said, when I looked up at Sheik.
"Doesn't matter. We need to purge this place, and get out of here." she said.
"All of sensitive equipment, and data?" I asked.
"The equipment can't be accessed unless you have a password. You don't have that, and then equipment locks you out. The data has been uploaded to secure location." she said, shutting the location down.
We exited out a side of the building that wasn't being watch, and disappeared into the night. At that moment, my phone started beeping.
"It's an Agent needs assistance alert." I said, when I looked at my phone.
"Use my phone." She said, handing me her sat phone.
I dial OPS, and I hear a Eric's voice when the call connects.
"Hello." Eric said, answering the phone.
"What's the situations?" I asked.
"Deeks?" Nell asked.
"Yes. What's the situation?" I asked.
"Sam, Callen, and Granger have all been arrested by other federal agencies. For some strange reason L.A.P.D. was sent to arrest you." Eric said.
"I'm dumping my phone, and going silent. I'll call from this number if I have an update. Deeks out." I said, and then ended the call.
I gave Sheik her phone back, wiped my phone and dumped it.
"Let's move." Sheik said, and then we disappeared into the night.

Boatshed-
A few days later, Sam, Callen—who had escaped ATF custody—and myself were at the boatshed. Hetty was there, along with one of her old war buddies A.J. Chegwidden. Joelle was at the table and she was in cuffs, and I knew what this day was going to entail. It was the day that Joelle was going to be outed as an officer of the CIA and that she was an immortal.
I pull out a chair on the other side of the table, place a kukri on the table, and then said. "Tell me where that masked lunatic, and I promise that you'll keep your head."
"Mr. Deeks." Hetty said, surprised by this turn of events.
"What makes you think that I know?" Joelle asked.
"Deeks, what's with the kukri?" Callen asked.
"Isn't it obvious? Joelle is one them." Sam said.
"When did that happen?" Callen asked.
"Since ninety-eight. To answer your question Joelle: the masked lunatic is working with a rogue faction that still operates within the CIA." I said.
"How do you know about that?" Joelle asked.
"I'm well connected. Inside and out of the CIA, I have my ways of getting information on current event in the agency." I said.
"Care to clue us in." Sam said.
"Joelle Taylor is actually CIA officer Joelle Taylor." Hetty said.
"I'm sorry." Sam said.
"Excuse me?" Callen asked.
"Should have done your homework, gentlemen. I'll ask it again, where is that masked homicidal maniac hiding. He has my partner." I said.
The blood drained from Joelle's face when she heard that Kensi had been captured. She must understand that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get her back. It didn't take long for Joelle to respond.
"I know of only two locations of note. There was a warehouse, and a house in Studio City." Joelle said.
I grab my kukri as I get up from the table, and grab my phone and dial Sheik's number as I say. "Let's move."
"Someone's pushy." Sam said, following me out.
"You were the same way when Michelle was working with Sidorov." Callen said, following Sam out.
"Deeks, do you even know where you're going?" Joelle asked.
"I know the place. Not to mention, I already have an associate sitting on the house. I just needed you to confirm it." I said.
As I was exiting the main hall Joelle heard me say one name: Sheik.
"Deeks is working with Sheik?" Joelle asked.
"Deeks is aware of Sheik ulterior motives, and he was aware of everything you were involved in. I wasn't aware that you joined our ranks so long ago." Hetty said to Joelle.
There was a moment of silence before Joelle asks. "So what happens now?"
"That depends on the outcome of the coming raid." Hetty said.
At that moment, an agent from the axillary team entered the building. They approached Hetty, and whispered something in her ear. Joelle didn't know what Hetty had been told, but it made Hetty go white as a sheet.
"Did they say where he had been taken?" Hetty asked.
"Madison General." The agent said.
"Put her in room two." Hetty said to the agent. Hetty turned too Chegwidden and said. "We need to get to Madison General Hospital."
"What's wrong?" Chegwidden asked.
"I'll explain on the way." Hetty said, and then the two friends left.

House in Studio City-
The assault was a massacre. They had the upper hand, but we had the element of surprise. They fell like flies. Sheik had an eye on the place while we were dealing with Joelle and the others at the warehouse earlier in the day. Sheik said that the man that she wanted is going to be holding Kensi in the back of the house. Callen and Sam took care of the people slowing us down, and told me to go rescue Kensi. I find a close door, and kick it open. I see the man who has been dogging me for my entire life standing behind Kensi, and he has a sawzall at Kensi's throat. I take one look at Kensi, who was tied to a chair, and almost flip my lid. Kensi mouth was covered in blood.
"One more step—"
The man didn't even get to finish his statement. I shot him twice. In the head, and he dropped like a sack of potatoes.
Kensi looked at the man, saw where the bullets holes were, and then said. "Double tap to the head. You must really love me."
"Oh, my baby's bleeding." I said, as I knelt down to undo her restraints.
"I'm okay. I'm okay. Hey, I bit my tongue, but on purpose, so I'm okay." Kensi said.
Callen rushes into the room, and then asks. "Kens, you okay?"
"Dad, get out of the room." I said, and then Kensi leaned in to hug me.
And then Sam comes in and ask. "Kensi, you all right?"
"He said get out of the room!" Kensi exclaimed.
We hug for a moment, and then I pull away and say. "Hey, hey."
"Yeah?" she asks.
"You good?" I ask
"Yeah. Ha, ha." she says.
"You sure?" I asked.
"I am now." she says.
"Yeah. Ooh, you scared me." I said.
I pick Kensi up in my arms, and carry her out of the house bridal style. Kensi snuggles into me as I'm carrying through the house, but feigns to be prideful when I open the door to carry her to the suv.
"I got you." I said, as I opened the door.
"Okay, no, don't—" she began.
"Over the threshold. Ha!" I laughed when I carry Kensi out of the house.
"Seriously, Deeks, you don't have to do this anyway." she protested.
"No." I said.
"You can put me down." She continued.
"But I do. I really do." I said.
"Well, this is very embarrassing. I really don't feel comfortable." she said.
"Will somebody please take a picture of this?" I asked.
"Oh, my gosh. No" Kensi said.
"So I could document this. That would be fantastic." I said.
"Seriously Deeks." Sam said.
"Really, Deeks. Kensi doesn't have a leg injury. Put Kensi down, and let her walk." Callen said.
"Talk about a buzz kill." I said, as I put Kensi down.
"So what about those people?" Sheik asked.
"They're all inside." I said.
"Dead?" Sheik asked.
"Just resting." I said.
"Do you have a place for me to work?" Sheik asked.
"I have just the place." I said.
"Deeks." Kensi said.
"You need to get to the hospital." I said.
"Well just use Hetty's doctor." Kensi said.
"Sheik." I said.
"I don't care." Sheik said.
"Here's the location." I'll have our team send there." I said.
"How long until they arrive?" Sheik asked.
"Speak of the devil, there's the disposal team right now. We just need to get a vehicle, and then we'll meet you there. Let's go Kens." I said, after giving Sheik a piece of paper with an address to the warehouse where we dispose of immortals.
"Kensi, you've already seen immortals die." Callen said.
"I want to see the warehouse where Deeks does some of his finest work." Kensi cracked.
"Well, that's one way to look at it." I said.
"You need to go to the hospital." Sam said.
"I will. Later." Kensi said, the four of us got into the suv and headed back to Ops.

OPS: Hetty's office-
"So how is Miss Blye doing?" Hetty asked, as Callen and Sam entered her office.
"Our medical staff gave her a once over, and cut her loose." Callen said.
"And her tongue?" Hetty asked.
"The wound wasn't deep enough." Sam said.
"How's Granger?" Callen asked.
Hetty hesitated a moment, and then said. "He didn't make it. Multiple stab wounds that led to rapid failure of multiple organs. Granger died on the table." Hetty said.
"Has Director Vance been informed?" Sam asked.
"Leave that to me. You have unfinished business in the boatshed." Hetty said, looking at Callen.
"Let's go." Sam said.

Boatshed-
Callen walked into Interrogation two, and just stared at Joelle for a moment.
"It's not like you think." Joelle said.
"You lied to me." Callen said.
"You lied to me." she said.
"It's not the same." he said.
"Isn't it?" she asked.
"Joelle, I was trying to protect you." he said.
"So was I. I really cared for you." she said.
"Just stop it." he said.
"Look, that's why I broke it off, okay? I just—I couldn't keep doing it. Sorry. I truly am." she said.
"I forgive you for lying. That's part of the job. But not the betrayal." he said.
"If you can't forgive me, how will you ever forgive yourself for all the times you've done this to other people?" Joelle asked.
"The other people who I've betrayed didn't wind up almost getting a woman, who I care deeply for, killed." Callen said.
Joelle had no response to Callen's rebuttal. Callen walked out of the room, shut the door, and took a breath. Callen saw Sam at the bottom of the stairs, and braced himself for the question that Sam was going ask.
"You want to talk about it?" Sam asked, after Callen descended the stairs.
"No." Callen said, after taking a breath.
"Good. I'd be worried if you did." Sam said.
Callen glared at Sam, and then said. "You know, you guys introduced me to her."
"I was waiting for that. We were all fooled, G." Sam said.
"We were sloppy." Callen said.
"We were human. We need to ask Deeks how he knew that Joelle was in the CIA." Sam said.
"Probably knew before or after Joelle became an immortal." Callen said.
There was a moment of silence, before Sam said. "You gotta cut her loose."
"I'd rather arrest her, and send her to prison." Callen said.
"We've got nothing on her. Plus, she's CIA. It'll never make it to trial." Sam said.
"I know, but it doesn't mean that I have to like it." Callen said, and then walked back up the stairs to cut Joelle loose. Joelle didn't waste any time. She got up from her chair, and left the building; disappearing into the night.

The Business warehouse-
"You happy now?" I asked, after Sheik had decapitated the last one person. There was only one immortal, but I don't blame Sheik for beheading them all.
"Something's been bothering me." Kensi said.
"What?" I asked.
"How did Sheik know we were in Russia? And how did Xenon Ariti learn that we were in Russia as well?" she asked. I shrug my shoulder at the questions. "Those two questions bothering me since we left Russia a year and half ago. It doesn't bother you?" she asked.
"I've been busy, for the last twelve plus hours, looking for you." I said.
"Thank you." she said.
I was leaning against the wall watching Sheik do her business. Kensi walked over and hugged me, we cuddled until Sheik woke up. Kensi gently rubbed my chest as I rubbed her back. At the thirty minute mark, we heard Sheik begin to stir.
"I'm glad that's over." Sheik said.
"How long have you been after him?" I asked.
"About three thousand years." Sheik said.
"Sheik I gotta ask. How did you know we were in Russia about a year and a half ago? And how did that Xenon Ariti know that we were in Russia as well?" Kensi asked.
"Deeks gave me his phone and I traced all of the unknown numbers." Sheik said, as she stood up.
So that means—You told Xenon we were in Russia!" Kensi said, looking at me.
"Yes. Yes, I did." I said.
"Why?" Kensi asked.
"Why? I figured that if we leaked our location, we could control Xenon's movements. To certain extent" I said.
"I already told him." Sheik said.
"Told him what?" Kensi asked.
"That it was a gamble, but it was the best play that we had at the time." Sheik said.
"We good?" I asked.
"We're good. No offense, but I hope to never see you again." Sheik said.
"That makes two of us." I said, as Kensi and I left the warehouse.
I called Todd as Kensi and I were heading to the hospital.
"Does Hetty know that you lured Xenon to Russia?" Kensi asked.
"If not, I'm not going to tell her." I said, getting behind the wheel
Kensi laughed as she got into the passenger seat. We settled into a comfortable silence, and then Kensi drifted off to sleep.

OPS: Bullpen-
The next morning, when Kensi and I walked into the bullpen to see that the crew was waiting for us.
"We got a case already. There's still ten minutes before the shift starts." I said.
"Granger died last night while in surgery." Hetty said.
Kensi and I both had the same reaction: shock. Complete and total shocked.
"So the old man finally bit the dust. I thought he would have kept fighting until the bitter end." I said.
"How did he die?" Kensi asked.
"Granger was stabbed when he was being transport from holding." Hetty said.
Hetty looked at me, but I turned her down. "Granger was your friend. The deed is yours." I said.
"You have my thanks." Hetty said, and then left.
"Where's she going?" Eric asked, as he and Nell entered the bull pen.
"You're so much happier not knowing." I said
I felt my phone vibrate, and I when I looked it was a message from Hetty. The message said that I was to meet her at her place tomorrow night.
N.C.I.S. L.A.
Hetty's house-
I stopped by OPS to grab a sword. One look at the hilt and I recognize the blade. It's the same one I left behind in Spain before I went to London in eighteen thirty-four. I'm shock Hetty didn't give me the sword that I took when I killed that bishop after I had been burned at the stake, but that's beside the point. I park my car, and walk up to Hetty's house. I open the door, and find Hetty in her study.
"A drink Mr. Deeks?" Hetty asked.
"Sure." I said.
Hetty pulled out a bottle of scotch that was over thirty years old. "You sure know how to pull out the stops." I said.
"That's on the shelf in the pantry." she said, as she pour the two shots.
"So tell me, Hetty. What were you going to tell me after I had my fill?" I asked.
"Every ten thousand years, at a location in Scotland, north of Glasgow, there is a stone structure. This stone structure is said to house the power that makes us immortal. Over the millennia we have dubbed it the Source." she said.
"What's the catch?" I asked.
"Excuse me?" she said.
"The Source is the life blood of the immortals. Okay, understandable, but what's the catch? You can't just walk in there and shut it off. What's stopping someone like you or me from doing that?" I asked.
"With the ever source of power there is a guardian." she said.
"You knew the man before he had become the guardian." I said.
"Yes. There were five us on that fateful day, ten thousand years ago, when we assaulted the Source the last time it went active. But we were doomed before our mission even began. One of our men had found the location of the Source, and we made plans to assault it before the guardian could even regain his power. One man among our group, his name was Larry Basser, he had other plans for the guardian." she said.
"How well did you know Basser?" I asked.
"In hindsight, I guess not well enough. Everyone knew the plan, and adhered to it." she said.
"Who took on the guardian?" I asked.
"Off all the people that went I was the strongest. Basser was second fiddle to me." she said.
"So while you distracted the guardian, Basser took advantage of the situation and killed the guardian. I guess I should ask the pertinent question. How do you shut down the Source? I ask.
"You have two choices after defeating the guardian. You can either spare the guardian, which gives you access to the Source so you can shut it down. Or you can kill the guardian." she said.
"And the cycle continues." I said finishing her sentence.
"Precisely." She said.
There was a moment of silence. Then it dawned on me, the meaning of Hetty's statement from five thousand years ago. "You didn't keep me around because I had my uses. You kept me around so I could exactly your vengeance against Basser." I said. I didn't even bother to call Hetty out on her actions because I was used to her shady actions. Not only that, Hetty was giving me the chance to become human again.
"So who else besides you made it out of the Source alive that day?" I asked.
"I'm the only one. As soon as Larry killed the guardian, I took off. Everyone else stared in horror as Larry lay waste to the plan, and then he killed them. One of them made it to the door, but I was already entering the woods when the person died. After the Quickening had finished, the door to the Source had shut and I was left to pick up the pieces." she said.
"So you spent the past ten thousand years killing immortals, becoming more powerful." I said.
"All the while I was waiting for you, or someone like you, to appear." she said. "And it seemed you had one tough journey to get here."
"I was shocked to see Marcel Janvier after our encounter over a century ago." I said.
"So your first encounter was in London back in the 1880's? That must have been something." she said.
"That's one less immortal in the world, and we're better off without him." I said. "Is there anything else I need to know?"
Hetty pours one more, and downs it. "I told you everything that you need to know. You know what you have to do." She said.
"How did Larry become an immortal?" I asked.
"He was betrayed by his country. He was falsely accused for a crime he didn't commit, and they executed him for it." she said.
"I'm guessing he killed all those involved, and then disappeared." I said.
"Yep." she said.
There was a moment of silence. Hetty poured us one last shot for the two of us. "You want one last duel?" I asked, after downing the shot.
"Do you think you will come out on top like you did with you old buddy? On top that I want nothing more with this life. One last thing" she said.
"Yeah, what's that?" I ask.
"Stay in Los Angeles for a week. After that allotted time, take the five thirty P.M. flight out of L.A.X. to Glasgow, Scotland. After you land in Glasgow head north for a hundred miles, and then you will find the Source." Hetty said.
I pull my sword off my back, and then walk around to Hetty. She didn't flinch. Hetty poured one last shot, and then pulled her hair to one side giving access to her neck. This feels wrong, but this is what she wants. I think as I swing my sword and it separates Hetty's head from her body. The Quickening was short as always, but the power that I received was far greater than any other immortal I have kill. Once the Quickening had finished I get up off the floor, and exit Hetty's house. But not before I grab the bottle from the pantry. Whiskey that has been aged for fifty years. I wouldn't be surprised if she bought this the day I killed Ray. I think.
The shatter windows on Hetty's house, plus the neighbors on either side, will draw attention that I don't want. I call my contact Todd Williams to give him a heads up about the crime scene. Then I contacted Hetty's man, to come collect her body. I never asked what I should do for a burial, but the man coming to collect Hetty's body will know what to do.
N.C.I.S. L.A.
Three days after Hetty's death-
I don't know how it happened, but before we rescued Kensi, Whiting caught up to us. And by a stroke of bad luck she was fatally wounded.
"If you survive this, I'll tell you why I had to kill Boyle." I said.
Whiting couldn't speak, but the look on her face was on of I knew it.
I got a text from Whiting yesterday wanting to meet. I told her where we could meet. She didn't want to meet me at said location, but I told her I wouldn't meet anywhere else.
"So what was so important that I had to wait until after I had recovered for you to tell me the truth of why Boyle died?" Whiting asked.
"It's true that if you were going to charge would have been self-defense manslaughter." I said.
"Because?" she asked.
"The night Boyle died I had every intention of arresting him." I said.
"For what?" she asked.
"Sleeping with an underage prostitute." I said.
"Who was the victim?" she asked.
"Because of how the L.A.P.D. treat her, I'm not going to give you her name." I said, flat out refusing to name Tiffany.
"You think that answer is going to fly?" she asked.
"The L.A.P.D. didn't have high standards for integrity back in the day. This person is like a family member to me, so I won't put her at risk." I said.
"They're standards for integrity haven't risen much higher in the past decade." she said.
There was a moment of silence as Whiting contemplated what she could have lost, and I let her do so in peace. "While I was bleeding out in your arms…all I could think about was my son. My husband. I came close to losing everything." she said.
"I've actually had the "lying in your own pool of blood" moment, so I get it." I said.
"And here to think that you, Martin Deeks, has been deemed to be bad luck. From what I gleaned from the files that were submitted about you, your actions paint you in a different light. It almost humanizes you." she said.
I take a moment, and stare at Whiting. Then I ask. "What have you heard?"
"I heard, rumors, that your "injuries" don't leave a mark." she said.
I'm not exactly sure how she knows, but Whiting has an inkling about my disposition. "I cannot confirm or deny that theory." I said.
"Understand, I don't condone your actions, but I know you did them for the right reasons." she said.
"Just understand that, if push comes to shove, this would never go to trial. So if you need my to do a job for you, It's only going to be one. So, better make it count." I said.
Whiting rolled her eyes, and then said. "Lieutenant Bates' name has been in a lot of people's mouths recently."
"Bates never really like me, but he trusted me. If I clear his name, you'd swear to close the investigation?" I asked.
"Yes." she said.
"Okay. Call me when Bates gets in trouble. I'll be there." I said.
"Just like that?" she asked.
"As if I had much of a choice otherwise." I said.
"Some say that would make me stubborn." she said.
"Being stubborn makes you a good cop." I said.
Whiting got up from her chair, and was reaching for her wallet.
"Coffee's already paid for." I said.
"See you later Deeks." Whiting said
"Later." I said.

Boatshed-
I find myself floating around Los Angeles for a couple of days. I can hear Hetty's words echoing in my head.
"Stay in Los Angeles for a week. After that allotted time, take the five thirty P.M. flight out of L.A.X. to Glasgow, Scotland. After you land in Glasgow head north for a hundred miles, and then you will find the Source."
I find myself longing for the old days when I thought death was the end of it all. Mortals see immortality as the wonderful gift to take advantage of. To me it's been nothing but a curse. Having to kill to have continued life has been nothing but a burden.
"Deeks. Or is it Ashono?" Kensi asks.
I'm in the boat shed sitting on the couch in the main room. "Yes to both." I say.
I look up to see Kensi come walking in the backdoor. I remember the first time I set eyes on her. The organ in my chest known as a heart, which I had completely forgotten about for a few millennia, had skipped a beat. I thought I had gotten my wife back, but then I remember that she had passed on from this world a long time ago. I had to stop myself from walking up to Kensi and pulling her into my arms and kissing her like I did with my wife years ago. I found out later that Kensi felt the same.
"What are you still doing up this late?" I ask Kensi. It's after midnight I saw after checking my watch.
Kensi doesn't answer right away. She simply walked up to me, and then sits down straddling my lap, wrapping her arms around my neck. Kensi planted a soul searing kiss on my lips, the same way that my wife use to do. "I'm guessing this brings back a few memories?"
"That, or I'm creating new ones." I say.
Kensi and I stare into each other's eyes for a time. "What did she look like? Your wife?" she asks.
"Just like you, right down to the mismatched eyes. The first time I saw you I had to stop myself from kissing you." I say.
"I guess it was a good thing I felt something for you." she said, kissing me again. We stare at each other some more. "Was it fast?"
"What was fast?" I ask
"Hetty's death?" she asked.
"Sheesh, make up your mind. Are we talking about my wife, or Hetty? But yes. Her death was more humane compared to most of the people we killed." I said.
"It's strange to know that she's gone. I thought Hetty would retire and sail off on that boat." she said.
"There's no retirement for our people. We only have one rule: kill or be killed." I say.
"So what? You're people's motto is: There can be only one?" she asked.
"Never thought of it like that, but I guess so." I say.
"Then why did Hetty leave you alive?" she asked.
"Same reason Hetty kept you around. I had my uses." I say.
"How did Hetty use you?" she asked.
"She tried to regulate our people for a time, plus she sent us out on missions to stop warlords and arms dealers, but the conclave that we had was destroyed. And we lost touch until I showed in Ops that day." I say.
"What happened to your buddy? What was his name?" she asked.
"Ray.'" I said.
"Yeah, whatever happened to him?" she asked.
"While Ray was a bit of an oddball in our little conclave, he still followed the rules. I think he didn't like living while his family had passed on before him. There was another immortal that was giving him problems. Ray wanted to move on, but he was too good at what he did. So I killed Ray, and took down that guy that was harassing him. Come to find out the guy I killed was a weapons dealer." I said.
"Was it hard to kill him?" she asked.
"Ray technically wasn't his real name. It was Reino, or I think it might have been Reino. After a while Ray grew tired of it. The killing. Missing his family. He just wanted to die, and move on. So I gave Ray one last battle. You know. To honor him as a friend and as a brother." I say shedding a tear in memory of my friend.
"Why did you take the name Martin Deeks?" Kensi asked wiping the tear.
"Not exactly sure. Hetty made me because I reminded her of a man who she encountered years earlier. I guess I was his doppelganger." I say.
There was a moment of silence for a time, and then Kensi rest her head on my shoulder. I could feel her breath on my neck, and it sent a shiver down my spine. And then I could feel Kensi' tears on my shirt. "I don't want to lose you." she said.
"If I don't do this, then you're going to die, but I'm going to live on without you. I need something else to live for beside continued life. I've seen enough of this world to last me a life time." I said.
"Or two, in your case." Kensi said, and all I could do was laugh.
Kensi stood up, and offered me her hand. I accepted it, and stood up from the couch. I saw that look in Kensi eye, one that said that she had a question to ask. "How old are you?" she asked.
"Five thousand years old." I said.
