The Beginnings of a new life

Chapter 114th

After some time and six tests and numerous blood tests in. Shannon was now able to relax and her husband Alex had gone downstairs for something to eat and drink. Even though she really couldn't get into eating the hospital food.

All three of the doctors involved in her case had come and gone with going over every intel of her breast cancer after speaking with her breast doctor in California. She was sitting up in bed brushing her long hair with the silver streaming.

She looked up to see Alex smiling walking in with a number of bags. "I am so glad you're here Alex," she says with her husband dropping the bags onto the table and removing the items as with the large diet cola and Diet Pepsi for himself.

"I just couldn't believe the long lines at this time of the afternoon with the change in the shift?" Alex commented with pulling up a chair.

"I am glad you're here nevertheless." she cried out.

"Did your doctors have anything else to say with the tests?" Alex had to know with concern for his wife of ten plus years.

"Let's see. My heart is fine as with the blood pressure. MRI shows no further advancement of the cancer cells and bone marrow of the legs. Cat-scan is normal as well even though they said that the program is going to take at least a week for it to begin working before noticing any changes. And that I shouldn't be disappointed at all Alex?"

"Listen, Shannon, Doctor Rolaids had told you at Gibbs house that this was going to happen in the first place. It took Gibbs two months for god sake! I just want you to stop with the worrying." he cries out with kissing her on her cheek.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his wife had been finishing up their food at his favorite diner. Loreile always wondered as to why he never decided to buy a piece of the diner as part owners. Since he and his NCIS team members had spent so much money invested.

"Look Jethro once again I need to make that apology for the way I acted." she had been finishing up on her slice of Apple pie that was made by the owner of the diner.

"I was partly at fault as well Loreile for the way the both of us acted with that fight over Shannon. I had the feeling that this was going to surface in the first place. Shannon was the love of my love as my soulmate thinking that she died 34 years ago in that crash. I just never had thought those feelings would have surfaced?" he commented with finishing up his bowl of vanilla ice cream.

"Look Jethro having Kelly come into your hospital room had to put you on alert at first. Especially for myself bumping into her in the elevator. However, to have Shannon and her husband Alex show up later had to tell you something?" she says.

"Maybe. But then again I had visions, nightmares, and dreams over the years. She was always with me no matter where I might be. However here we are now with Shannon to be in the hospital with the doctors to save her life with the Cell regeneration program?" he cried out with the last of his ice cream.

"I have a question, Jethro?" she said.

"And what is that Loreile?" he needed to say to his wife fishing again with the questions.

"What do you think Shannon is going to be doing once the doctors find out that she is back in remission?" she responded...

"Of course she is going to continue on with her life with Alex in California. Why?"

"I know this may sound crazy Jethro. But what if she wants to continue on her life with you?" she commented with some sarcasm with her demeanor.

"Are you crazy to be even thinking something like that Loreile? I will never let it happened since I love you and I will never leave our two boys that I love a great deal," he replied with the truth of his own heart and soul.

"Okay. Then we have better be going for the hospital?" she commented with waving down Elle for the bill and for which she is treating this time.

Using her debit card with the money from her winnings from the casino. She paid the $25.00 for the meal while her husband had given Elle the tip. The both of them walked out into the crisp air with the cold weather.

Gibbs helped his wife up into the truck. Even though she was letting him be a real gentleman. But there are times that he can be a real pain in the ass at times with his attitude.

"Thank you kind sir." she smiled with a quick kiss on his cheek.

Gibbs getting in turned on the engine of his truck before moving out of the parking lot to head for the hospital.

Doctor Cyril Taft had finished up an operation on an older man in his sixties having a heart attack only to find out that two of his arteries had been blocked while being under stress with his job as a CEO of the computer parts company in Alexandria, Virginia.

It was a four-hour surgery with his team working together as a good oil group. Cleaning up with changing into a clean uniform. He had heard that Shannon Anderson had settled in her room after all of the tests had been done for today.

Walking out of the main operating room section. He headed for the elevator to head up to the tenth floor to see Shannon. There was a possible chance she might be sleeping or looking at the time it was almost dinner time.

Waiting for the elevator to arrive. He was tired himself after a late night with Gibbs poker game. Finally, the door opened with three others inside. He pressed the desired button of the floor he wished.
