Kohaku lifted his head to meet his opponent's gaze.

This fight would not be easy but he wasn't in the habit of giving up.

He flexed his fingers at the sound of the signal. He had to be careful. He could not allow Bankotsu to get too close to him. If he did then…

Kohaku's thoughts were cut short at the sight of a curled fist hurtling towards him. The teen sprung backwards, narrowly avoiding the hit.

"You're pretty spry on your feet," Bankotsu flashed a confident smirk at him. "But that luck won't last for long. You and I both know who's stronger. Might as well do yourself the favor and give up. I'm not in the habit of taking on weak opponents."

His fingers twitched at that.

Weak?

Of course he was.

His quirk was nothing like Bankotsu's or his sister's. It was fragile and required more technical prowess to control. Still, he had things he was fighting for as well.

"I'm not going to run away," Kohaku slowly rose to his feet. "I came to this school with a goal in mind. Even if you are stronger then me, that doesn't mean that I'm willing to abandon everything."

His gaze hardened at the taller male.

He still had one last trick as well.

Bankotsu's features sharpened, "Your funeral!"

With that he leapt forward.

Kohaku twisted and shifted on the ball of his heel, narrowly dodging each strike as it came towards him. Bankotsu's power was his inhuman strength. If he struck him even once then it'd be over. So he had to do this carefully.

The teen dove down as he slapped his palm against the other's abdomen. Tendrils of spider like webs shot forth, encircling Bankotsu and curling around his neck, waist, wrists and legs firmly.

"Got you," He pushed back and pulled on the threads that'd connected them. "You forgot about my quirk, didn't you?"

It was a power he loathed.

To turn someone's body against their will was the worst sort of power. Yet despite that knowledge he wanted to try to make something of it.

He was weak and frail but that wouldn't stop him.

"Puppeteer. So long as I can get a hand on you then I can make you nothing more than a living puppet." Kohaku pulled on the threads a little tighter. "Now, let's end this."

He still had one last task to finish.
