Doctor John Rolaids answering back with the question of watching for any traffic. "I am only a block away from your house Gibbs. I do hope the poker game hasn't started as yet?" he was anxious, hungry, and thirsty.
"Just started the first game for which Shannon won the first-hand big time." Gibbs needed to say over the phone. Even though Shannon had stuck out her tongue out at him with winning.
Meanwhile, everyone relaxed by drinking their beer and snacks along with the sandwiches and Chinese food sitting on the kitchen table.
"I can't wait plus to discuss Shannon's case before tomorrow," he commented with continuing to drive slow making the turn to head on down to his house with seeing the capital doom. He was able to find the perfect parking spot right across the street. Some three houses away from Phineas.
Placing his phone into his coat pocket with the temperature seeming to be getting colder for now. He had seen Gibbs with his jacket having gotten up from his chair at the table with his poker night group.
"Welcome Doctor Rolaids. I am glad you were able to make it safe and sound. Everyone is waiting inside with a number of questions that need to be asked." he said with Doctor Roliads grabbing his go bag and medical bag with certain equipment inside.
"How are you feeling since getting out of the hospital?" he moved up the stairs right behind Gibbs answering his question.
"Just fine doctor. I still can't sleep all that well at night. But lately, I have been taking advantage of sleep during the day while my boys are asleep in the nursery." he commented with moving into the living room seeing the fireplace crackling away with Loreile feeding the flames another log.
Shannon and Alex had gotten up from the table to shake the doctor's hand. "Doctor Rolaids I am your patient Shannon and this is my husband Alex."
"Great. I am happy you're here I have some questions that need to be asked. Special Agent Gibbs can I use the bathroom with washing up before beginning?" he says with Gibbs to show him the downstairs new bathroom that he worked on it himself.
After feeling better with washing his face and hands using the blue terry cloth towel and placing it back into place.
"Doctor Rolaids I like you to meet my daughter Kelly and her husband James, and this is Doctor Grace Confalone a therapist and this is Director Leon Vance of NCIS and my boss," Gibbs said with the doctor shaking their hands with sitting down on his chair with the added sleeve of the table. There was plenty of room for the poker game.
He had placed his money on the table with taking it out of his black pants. "Shall we play before I begin with the questions." he exhaled.
The next hour was filled with different winners and including Rolaids, Kelly, Gibbs, and even Grace. While everyone else was mopping with their losses.
They decided to take a short break with Loreile serving coffee or any other drinks. However, Doctor Rolaids asked questions with Shannon ready.
"What made you decide to go along with the program?" he says with sipping his black coffee even though he won't be able to sleep nevertheless.
She took in a deep breath. "From what Jethro and Loreile had to say about it from Kelly. I understand it took two months for the Cell regeneration Program to work on Jethro?" she needed to say.
"It varies with the different patients from 25 states. In Gibbs's state, it took longer due to the horrific damage that was done to his body while he was in Paraguay. And believe me, it was a real nightmare?" he cried out.
"We don't need to be talking about it further. We just need to be sure that the program is going to save your life and place your breast cancer into remission?" Gibbs commented with Shannon smiling back.
"Okay, tomorrow you will need to come into the admission's office to sign the paperwork." Doctor Taft needed to say on the subject. "Before starting all of the tests on you once you're able to be transported to your room," he says with Doctor Rolaids agreeing.
Afterward, the games continued on with Director Leon Vance needed to get up for the fridge and another bottle of Budweiser beer. He had asked whether anyone else wanted another beer.
It was Gibbs, James, and Taft asking with Vance taking them out with handing them. While the last of the card games continued before breaking it up for the evening. Doctor Rolaids had continued to yawn with needing some sleep as with everyone else. It was going to be interesting where everyone was going to be sleeping in this house with a long history.
As it had turned out it was Loreile, Kelly, Dr. Grace, and Shannon that beaten the men with blackjack and other games and for which Gibbs had been shaking his head while saying good night to Vance, Grace, and Taft before Taft sees Shannon and her husband Alex later at the hospital.
Loreile and Kelly were cleaning up the kitchen with Shannon continued to talk with Doctor Rolaids in the living room.
"What are you worried about Shannon with the program?" he said with crossing his legs sitting on the small chair near the fireplace.
"I just have some reservations Doctor on whether my cancer will be gone? For a year I had been living with this cancer with getting myself set to die. Hopefully, the program will be able to hold it off for a few more months to allow me to live." she responded.
"Look this program does work with the 100 patients we have saved in different stages of life, conditions and etc Shannon. Let us do our jobs while you just take it easy until we know for sure." He had to say with a loud yawn. "I am afraid that is it for me now everyone needing to head upstairs to my room to sleep."
