Kaito is so, so thankful for Jii-chan. Honestly, even if he had found out some other way about the whole 'your father was an internationally wanted criminal and was murdered' thing, Kaito never would have been able to do half as much as he has without Jii-chan. Not only is the man skilled in a variety of (if not illegal, highly suspect) ways, Jii-chan knows how to find anything. Kaito can give the man a list of the requisite supplies for a heist and somehow Jii-chan finds a way to get it all without raising suspicions anywhere. It's practically magic.
