Putzie's POV
I woke up feeling heartbroken, so I got up from my bed and walked out of my room, walked downstairs to hear the door bell ring and I walked over to the door and open the door to see Abby there. "Oh hey Abby." I said trying to be strong.
"Hey Putz, how are you feeling?" She asked me.
"Just…great." I lied. "You?"
"Awesome." She replied. "Um, about the dinner yesterday…" She started. "Thank you." Then I nod my head at her.
"You're welcome Abby." I said to her.
Then we were silent for awhile.
"Um Putz, why did you set the date for me?" She asked me.
I bit my lower lip trying to come up what to say.
"Well…" I started. "I just want you to be happy with…Tom."
I felt awful saying that!
"Well, thank you Putzie, you are the sweetest best friend I ever have." She said kissing my cheek. "Well, I'm gonna go hang out with the girls, see you later."
"Ok, bye." I said as she left smiling and I shut the door and I leaned my back against the door. "Oh!" I winced feeling like crying and saw my brother coming down the stairs.
"Hey little bro, how are you feeling?" He asked me.
"Not so great." I admit wiping my tears away.
Hey, I'm in love with the girl! Lay off ehh!
"Aw cheer up little bro," He said putting his arm around me. "I called Danny and he said we're gonna have a guys' day."
I look up at him.
"I'm not in the mood to go out." I told him.
"Oh yes you are Putz." He told me. "Now get dress." He order.
I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW! But I got dressed anyway and went downstairs to see the guys waiting by the door.
"Hey buddy." Kenickie said patting my back.
"Alright, where are we going?" I asked them.
"First we're going to Frosty Palace to get some Frosty." Phil told me.
I chuckled.
"Putzie, you love Frosty." Danny said smiling.
"Yeah, you go NUTS for ice cream." Doody added.
Sonny nods his head in agreements.
"Guys…I don't feel like doing this." I admit. "I'm sorry."
"Putzie, you are coming with us and that is the order." Phil said firmly.
I let out a big sigh as I looked down and back up.
"Let's go." I finally said.
"Goodie." Sonny said grinning.
Then I chuckle at him and we left the house, got in Phil's car. Then we drove off to Frosty Palace and then we got out and walked inside.
"Hey Vi, 6 glasses of Frosty please." Phil said smiling at her.
"Coming right up." Vi said leaving to make our Frosty.
Then we went to sit at our booth.
"I really don't wanna be here." I admitted again.
"Look buddy, we're gonna have fun today." Danny said to me. "And you're going to enjoy what we're gonna do today."
Then I sigh.
"Abby." I mutter to myself and I felt Kenickie put his arm around me. "I really wish I told her already."
The guys and I were at a drag race. I really, really don't want to be here right now! Right now I just want to be in my bed…crying. Don't ya dare call me pansy!
"I don't want to be here guys." I admitted again.
"Come on little bro, this is fun." Phil said smiling at me.
"For you guys it is." I said.
"Putzie, no thinking about girls." Danny started. "This is guys' day."
Then I looked away.
"But I don't wanna be here." I winced.
"Well there nothing you can do pal, and you're gonna have fun." Kenickie said.
Then we looked over at Sonny and Doody cheering loudly and then they chest bump. The guys chuckle at them.
"I can't stop thinking about her, my head is killing me too." I said.
"Putzie," Phil said putting his arm around me. "I know you're upset buddy, but one day she'll come around and realize that you're the one for her."
"I doubt that." I replied.
"Putzie, yesterday Abby was worry about you after you left." Danny told me. "Now you're telling us that she won't realize that you're the one for her?"
Then guys looked at me.
"I don't know guys, I'm just…confused." I admit.
"Putzie, you and Abby are best friends in the world." Kenickie told me. "I'm pretty sure she'd pick you over Tom."
"Really?" I asked them.
They nodded their heads.
"Well duh, you're a great guy and everyone knows how much Abby means to ya." Danny explained.
I thought about it.
"Well you ain't wrong." I said.
"Of course." Kenickie said. "You just gotta wait for her, just like I waited for Rizzo to be mine." He added as he draped his arm around me.
I just nodded.
"Kay." I says.
"Good boy." Phil said ruffling my hair.
I smiled.
"I'll stop moping guys," I told them. "I'll try."
"Ok." Phil said patting my back.
"Ooooh!" Sonny and Doody yelled as they chest bumped again.
We chuckled at them.
"Where are we gonna go next?" I asked them.
"Wrestling." Danny smiled.
"Cool!" I smiled as Danny pulled me close to him and side-hugged me.
