Sometime later actually the F.B.I. did arrive at the house with Special Agent Tobias Fornell and his partner Dan Ells with the bureau for the past 15 years. Parking in front of the house with the police banner around the entrance of the front door.
He didn't wish to be bothered by the Metro police having left earlier as with two agents from NCIS. Though both of the bodies were picked up by the Metro coroner downtown to have the autopsy down in the morning.
"I will be right back Ells? I am going to see if Gibbs's wife is up in order to check on Phineas. Check upstairs in the bedroom for any type of vault or documents hiding behind and pictures on the walls?" he said to his partner before crossing the street.
"Sure enough Tobias." Ells walked underneath the yellow banner to walk inside the darkened house. He turned on the lights in order to head upstairs to the main bedroom.
Meanwhile, his partner Tobias walked across the street with the lights on the inside with Loreile seeing him on the front porch.
She walked out to let the friend of her husband's inside. "You just missed Jethro. He's heading for the hospital to visit Shannon for tomorrow's procedure. Why are you here?" she needed to say to him with walking inside the living room all nice and toasty with the fireplace running.
"I need to speak with Phineas about what he saw Loreile." he said to her shaking her head.
"Phineas is asleep Tobias. The boy is rather upset after what he had seen at his house with finding the two of them on the floor."
"We had been asked by the regional office to investigate the shooting since it might have possible ties to the Cartel. My partner is across the street going to search for anything in the bedroom," he responded.
"And does my husband think the same thing as well Tobias?" she suspected knowing Leroy Jethro really well.
"He does Loreile. I spoke with him earlier about it. He wants to make sure that Phineas and his family will be staying safe." he noted with his comment.
"God damn it, Tobias! Jethro never stops with the pursuit of finding the answers to the truth," she commented asking Tobias whether he wanted a drink.
"Not this time Loriele I have work that needs to be done," he said with walking back out of the house and into the chill of the air.
Walking back to the house Tobias walked under the yellow banner to have all of the lights inside. He called out to him as Ells came down the stairs with the documents in his hands giving the much bigger picture as to why they were killed in the first place.
"Take a look at this Tobias. I found these behind one of the picture frames in their bedroom." he handed them to his partner to take a look with the shake of his head.
He whistled after reading the English words on the front page coming from the Russian embassy dated 20 years prior. "Wow! This is amazing Ells. We need to bring these back to the regional office to have the lab check for any additional prints on them?" Tobias had to say with going through more of the pages.
"Are you going to tell your NCIS friend Special Agent Gibbs?" he said to his partner.
"Of course I am Ells!" Fornell needed to say about his friend arriving home soon.
"Why don't you head back to the office while I am going to wait for him at his house. Sign me out since I won't be coming back tonight to the office."
"I will Tobias. Just be careful now since we basically know the truth about the two-shot?" his partner had to say to have Tobias shaking his head even though he's bald again after cutting it this way again after months of complaints from his own daughter and friends.
He watched his partner get into his vehicle to head off for the regional F.B.I. office. Meanwhile, he saw Gibbs truck arrive into the driveway with the Chinese food that he mentions over the phone.
"Tobias, did you find anything?" he vocalized with his tone of voice.
"I did or rather my partner did while I was here talking to your wife. We need to go inside since I don't want anyone to hear."
"Sure," he said with walking inside with Loreile attending to the fireplace.
"Fornell I didn't realize you were still across the street?" Loreile said by placing a small log inside the flames building to warm up the living room and other sections of the house.
"We were busy with finding a number of documents found inside a picture frame to tell us that Phineas adopted parents for years were Russian sleepers getting ready to be activated." Fornell had to say with handing the documents to Gibbs to read as with Loreile. While he had placed the Chinese bags onto the kitchen table.
Gibbs had sat down on the chair with grabbing his glasses in order to read the documents. Loreile decided to remove the Chinese containers out of the bags along with the drinks.
He was mumbling while he was reading the English part of the documents telling him that the Russian Embassy knew this was happening for the past 20 years. "This is really amazing Tobias for the most part?" he cried out with trying to comprehend the entire situation in regard to Phineas and his adopted parents being killed."
"We could have missed it and I am including the Metro police and NCIS Jethro," Fornell exclaimed with his words sitting down to grab his container that Loreile had placed in front of him.
"Thanks," he said to her even though Loreile was pissed to a certain extend with so much going on with Shannon, Kelly, and now with Phineas. She had a stress headache that wasn't good for the pregnancy.
