Summary: What if Eggman wasn't aware that his 'micro-managing device' worked on things BESIDES robots…?

Prompt:

After criticizing his own creations, calling out plays they don't respond to quick enough before getting blasted to smithereens, and feeling he could do better if he could just operate them each individually, Eggman makes a device to switch to manual override on his robots, allowing him some control over their, otherwise, foolish A.I actions…

"It's ingenious! Instead of having someone book all my affairs, I'll just program this tiny little 'bug' onto all my robots, and I'll be able to manually control them in the heat of battle! That way, I'll be able to gain the upper hand instead of always just yelling out my frustrations! After all, the Doc said that was bad for my blood pressure." Eggman held up his device, but it was so small, the camera had to zoom in on the little bug device.

"Are you sure you want to go into manual override, Doctor? Jumping from one scene of battle to another so rapidly… there's bound to be more… uhh… how should I put this lightly… human error?" Orbot turned away a moment, having recently outstretched his arms to make a plea of logic to his creator, before this time hunching his arms and lowering his head, worried about how Eggman might take that.

"Yeah! Cause like- You only have one thumb." Cubot held up a hand, and showed a thumb.

Orbot shook his head, and held up his other.

"Woah! Two thumbs!? Why has no one told me!? I could have held things! balanced things! Picked them up when they fell- things! Why, I finally sign-up for a thumb war and know that if one gets hurt, I have another to spare!" he held out his two thumbs like a 'thumbs-up' and began to wiggle them, excited at this 'new' discovery.

Orbot shook his head.

Eggman, growling in offense, flicked the device with his thumb onto Orbot.

Suddenly, Orbot began to distort in his body-movements, shifting left and right with his hands and the stem of his body, almost as if malfunctioning.

"Hehehehhh…" Eggman pulled out a joystick, which made Orbot start moving against his will. "See? and when I want to move along…" Eggman took another out of his pocket, and flicked it onto Cubot. "Dance, boys! Whahaa!"

Orbot and Cubot started to dance, "This is highly unnecessary! You're stripping us of our free will!"

"Or what's left of it!"

"Hohoho! I haven't had this much fun since college! Oh, boy, were those the years!" Eggman moves back and forth, jumping as he does so, as he controls cubot, before shifting to Orbot's controls, showing the shifting through his movements.

"And I'm not done yet! I can also control you both by… duel-wielding!" Strapped to Eggman's body, is now two joysticks in each hand, being held their by a black steel board, allowing him to use both hands to control them.

"This will be great! It'll be like playing video games all over again!" Eggman leans into the camera, showing his thrill and excitement at this new idea.

"Why do I feel like he's going to overload his mind on so many multitaskings that something's going to go horribly wrong?" Orbot foreshadowed, still being swung around by Cubot in the dance.

"You know, being manipulated is kinda fun!" Cubot shouted out, and leaned his head back. "Wee! Look at me! I can dip and catch you this time!" when he was controlled to do so, Orbot fell.

"Opps, Forgot the thumbs." Cubot and Eggman said at the same time.

-TIME SKIP~ Heck yeah!-

As the team fight Eggman, they realize his super-brain is actually keeping up with all the different battles going on, before Tails points out his controlling. "Get the console!" he cried out, pointing towards Eggman in his floating eggpod, which turns each way he's controlling.

However, Eggman cleverly makes sure to include great height advantage from the team, as Tails tries to use his plane, but a force field blocks the hits, as Eggman was only using that to lure it out.

He throws a device on the plane as it does a fly by, and takes control of it too.

"Oh no! Not again!" Tails ducks, as Eggman laughs his joys.

However, being cleverly outwitted by Tails disturbing the 'MIFI' of the devices wireless signal control, Eggman is defeated…

But not before his pockets of little android bugs fly out and get on Sonic, who later fist-bumps Amy's hand, only to cause the little bugs to fling onto her hand as well.

After a moment, Eggman in a rage, tries to just his joysticks as a way to vent out his frustrations… but…

"S-Sonic!"

"I swear! I don't know what I'm doing!"

"Get. Your. HANDS. OFF ME!" Amy was, at first, being blocked from moving by Sonic's random fast motions all around her, doing strange positions or dances before accidentally grabbing her and swinging her around, much like Orbot and Cubot's experience…

"Amy! Honestly! I have no idea what's happening!"

"Uh-oh! I think those devices might be controlling you guys!" Tails looks up the signal, and confirms it's so. "We need to get them to stop moving just long enough so I can detect the bug and get it off of them with these tweezers!"

Knuckles and Sticks try to pin them down, as suddenly Eggman switches modes, miles away, and unaware of all this, as Amy starts to be randomly controlled as well.

"Ahh!"

"H-hey! What are ya doin'!?" Sticks is being lassoed in by Amy's hammer as Amy starts randomly fighting her too.

"I have absolutely no idea!"

"Watch out!"

Sonic comes crashing in between the two girls, "Somebody.. stop me!" Sonic comes back around, before Tails gets another idea.

"Hang on.." he finds the signal and hacks into it, which makes Eggman let go of his joysticks and sees them moving on their own.

"HMMM? What's this!?" he tries to regain control of them, but he can't fight their machine power in their movements. (His strength isn't THAT good…)

"That's why you gotta work out those thumbs." Cubot strikes a 'buff' pose, before wiggling his thumbs.

Tails is able to get Sonic and Amy to fight, wrestling it out before he pins her.

"TAILS!"

"Sorry! I had to get her down!" Tails races out to locate the bugs, and pulls both off of them.

"Ah!" Amy jolts out of the control and pushes Sonic off, who also gets jolted off.

As Tails examines and monologues about the device, in the background, Amy and Sonic share a silent exchange of awkwardness, regret, shyness, and anger, before turning away from each other and seeming to slightly blush, however, Sonic's back is to the camera, so his blush can't be seen…
