Hunt For The Mystical Medals

First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which the Gunsmith Cats are on the move as they appear in this chapter.
Shinichi Kudo is about to be targeted as well and a few familiar faces would pop up somewhere here…

The scene shifts at the Sumida ward of Tokyo, where Kazari, in his human guise, is seen strolling the streets of Ryugoku District, which is home of the Ryugoku Kokugikon, as well as well as the heart of the SUMO WORLD, where many famous sumo wrestlers originated here.
The area is jump-packed with tourists as the sports is popular not only to the Japanese, but also to foreigners and sumo enthusiasts, as many are seen posing with the sumo wrestlers, taking pictures as well as some are watching several exhibition matches with the sumo wrestlers, and you can see and hear them shouting phrases associated with sumo matches.
"Wow!"
"He's strong!"
"A real Yokozuna!"
"I'm going to root for him!"
"Banzai!"
"Kamikaze!"
"Aiyah!"
"Yosh!"
Kazari looked around and he noticed that so many people are having a good time, and he observed them carefully as he can tell that many people here have strong desires, and this means that he can use people's desire to create a Yummy, and there he can hear them chatting which seemed to have desire-like vibes.
"I like this place…"
"My ideal area…"
"Makes me want to stay here…"
"Want to live here…"
"Wish this place become my residence…"
"So many food…"
"So many places…"
"Yeah…"
As Kazari smirked as he now has a means to harvest cell medals, he decided to loiter around to look for some prospects, and as he began to wander around, he did not noticed that Uva is not far away, as he saw Kazari walking around, and hiding amongst the crowd, he too is planning to use people's desire to spawn a Yummy of his own to get even against Kazari, and he smirked that with O's not around, he can do as he pleased, though stealthily.
"Just you wait, Kazari…I'll pay you back in kind…"
However, what Kazari did not notice is that two certain persons are discreetly following him, and are cautious not to attract his attention, their focus being on following Kazari around till they find an opening before making their move to confront him.
The two individuals turn out to be Rally Vincent and Minnie may Hopkins. It also turns out that the two girls have been secretly following Kazari for a while, and both girls felt that this is too easy for a bounty hunter job to do, as all they are doing is just follow Kazari for a while before confronting him once he is alone and in an open place.
"That's the guy…?"
"No doubt about it."
"This seemed too easy."
"At least for now, May."
"Me think that guy is easy picking, Rally…"
"Looks like it…we should keep the distance till the right time comes…"
"Right."
"Good."
Little do the girls know that their current actions would alter their course as a series of events triggered this situation, which they unknowingly would put them in danger.
-FLASHBACK-
A brief flashback shows that since yesterday, Rally and Minnie May were discussing about their bounty hunting days back in America and both are contemplating in doing a similar job while in Japan, and their conversation attracted the attention of the disguised Uva, and overhearing the conversation, it gave the disguised Greed an idea and approached the two girls, and asked them if they are really bounty hunters and would accept any jobs.
After Rally confirmed it, Uva offered her and Minnie May a job of trailing a SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUAL, and said that this person STOLE a PRIZED MEMENTO which Uva claimed that it belonged to him and the culprit stole it.
There the disguised Uva showed a picture of a green Core Medal and the disguised Kazari, and there he told Rally that all she and Minnie may would do is follow him until Kazari is alone and there they would confront him and demand the medal, which Rally felt that this might be an easy job, and asked if the pay would be good, which Uva showed a wad of money.
Rally saw it and Minnie May practically drooled, and tells Rally that they should accept the job, which Rally asked Minnie may if she is sure, which her partner nodded obediently without question.
"Are you sure about this, May?"
"Yeah-yeah…"
"All we do is follow that guy and…"
"Yeah-yeah…"
"Guess you're going to accept this job, huh?"
"Yeah-yeah…"
"Fine then."
"Yeah-yeah…"
Uva smirked as his scheme seemingly worked, and said that if they succeed, he would double the pay, and this enticed the two girls to accept the job, thus the motion is now set.
-END FLASHBACK-
Since several hours ago, the two girls have been searching for the disguised Kazari, and by chance they saw him and began following him, making sure that their target would not notice them following him, and the cat-and-mouse chase soon led them to the Sumida ward, and now al the two girls need is to get Kazari to go to an area with no people, and there they will confront him.
Minnie May is getting excited at the prospect of collecting the money, though Rally cautions her partner not to rush things, as it might jeopardize their operation, and urged her to be a bit patient and promised that they will collect the payment once they do things right.
"Aw…seriously, Rally…"
"You need to take things slowly, May…if we rush we might get something that would blow up on our faces."
"Come on…"
"And we can't use THAT in a place like this."
"Mou…"
"We do things my way…and if things go smoothly we'll split the collection."
"Really, Rally?"
"Really."
Little do the two girls know that the next couple of minutes might affect their operation, as Kazari appeared to be unaware of the fact that he is being trailed by the Gunsmith Cats.

Ch. 136: Teppō tan'ya, Mayaku Torihiki, Sutanpīdo part 8
The scene shifts at the Kougami Foundation, where it is business as usual there as Kougami just concluded a lucrative business deal with an influential corporation, where its CEO is impressed and agreed to do a joint business project, which resulted in new investments being poured in while numerous investors were enticed and signed a lucrative deal that would strengthen their financial sources as well as increasing the stocks.
Kougami is pleased and assured to the investors that they will not regret this and that their new partnership will benefit all, which the investors are pleased to hear the assuring words of encouragement from Kougami.
"Thank you, all…I promise that our joint venture will provide the most benefit for us all…"
"Sure."
"We're glad that we made a partnership with you."
"And your track record really puts us at ease."
"Then next time I will give you a complimentary cake…"
"Sounds good."
"We look forward to that."
"And bring some pastries…"
After the meeting ended, Kougami went inside his office and began making preparations to bake a cake, in which his secretary, Satonaka, entered and informed him of the current events that are happening within parts of Japan, which are:
- Kyuji, Ran and Shiho are about to undergo an undercover operation involving a rescue mission involving missing girls;
- Kazari is spotted at the Sumida ward
- Akira Toudou and Shintaro Gotoh are about to embark on a secret operation of their own as they are heading to Shinjuku
- Ankh, who is currently possessing the comatose body of Shinichi Kudo, is spotted heading to a place in Edogawa
Kougami listened to the info, and yet he smiled as he proceeded to prepare in putting the pan inside the oven, and there Satonaka asked if he is fine with it, as she tells Kougami that Toudou somewhat took something from Maki and intend to have Gotoh use it, and said she wondered what Toudou is trying to do, yet Kougami, deducing something, said that it is okay, as Toudou's action towards Gotoh is a form of desire, and feels it would benefit the two men, as well as Kougami's.
"It's fine, Satonaka. Let Toudou do as he please."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes. it will be beneficial…not only to me…but to them as well."
"Would Maki be fine with that?"
"I am sure he is."
"Toudou and Gotoh dong something… while Hino and his friends are about to…"
"Everyone acted on their desire…and that will benefit my empire."
"Another thing, sir…"
Satonaka also asked if he is fine with Kyuji being on his own while Ankh is also on his own, stating that either of the two might run into trouble, though Kougami assured that things are okay for now, as he is confident that both Kyuji and Ankh would emerge unscathed, reasoning that Kyuji has the O-Driver and the Core Medals, hence it won't be a problem.
He also pointed out that Ankh has regained some of his powers after regaining four of his Core Medals, hence he sees no problem with Ankh as he now has a means to defend himself, as well as protecting Shinichi Kudo's body.
"Restricting them would stall their desire…and I want to see their desire. It will be okay, Satonaka."
"Surely that may remain to be seen."
"Oh?"
"The two Greed are still out there…"
"If they make a move, then Hino and Toudou would be there as well. No worries."
"Then I have no questions."
"Good."
"…"
While Satonaka nodded, she decided to show him the footage of what she mentioned earlier, and through the Taka Candroids, Kougami is shown about what Kyuji and the others are doing at the moment, and Kougami smiled and commends Satonaka for doing a good job, and tells her that things are doing well as he is curious to see what Gotoh would do, seeing that he is doing something in secret.
Kougami is also curious on what Kyuji is planning to do now that Ran is tagging along, and wondered what Kyuji and Ran would do next. Then he saw Ankh is heading to a destination and felt that the Greed possessing Shinichi's body is about to indulge himself and thus feeling that Ankh is about to fill his heart's desire through Shinichi's body.
"Ah…good, that's good…"
"…"
"Ankh is about to fulfill his desire…"
"May I remind you that Ankh is possessing Shinichi Kudo's body…"
"Yes, I know."
"Then what would happen if Ankh abandon Kudo's body? Would he still feel desire if he no longer needed a human body?"
"That's one desire I like to see."
"…"

The scene shows that Ankh, who is possessing Shinichi's body, is at an area within Edogawa, and is holding the brochure which shows the direction of where he wants to go, and he is somewhat pleased that he get to go somewhere alone without Kyuji nagging him, and without Ran using her karate techniques to hold him down, as well as getting away from Shiho, who is making CUTE gesture to scare him down.
Since he did not sense any Yummy or any of the Greed, Ankh felt that it is a good time for him to enjoy for once, and as he walked forward, he did not notice that he is being followed, who turns out to be Radinov, and there she saw Ankh, in which she mistook him for Shinichi because of his face, and the Russian assassin was able to recognize Shinichi despite his hair's color and style.
As Radinov is secretly following Ankh, she overheard two passing person, talking about an ice cream convention, saying that it is a good place to unwind after problems plagued them.
"That convention is great."
"Yeah."
"We get to get free ice creams…"
"With so many flavors…"
"Wish Ayumi were here…"
"That's why we bought a pint…we'll give her some once she's found and rescued…"
"Let's not forget Conan…"
"Right."
The two persons in question turn out to be Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya and Genta Kojima, and they just left the convention after binging on the ice creams that are featured at the convention, and they brought with them two gallons of ice cream which they intend to share with the others once Ayumi is found and rescued, and are hoping to see Conan and Ai again.
Radinov ignored the two Detective Boys members as she continue to trail Ankh, as he kept moving forward, and she intend not to let her target out of her sight as she stakes her reputation as a hired assassin on the line, not knowing that Shinichi is currently in a coma whose body is currently possessed by the Greed Ankh.

Hope you liked this chapter as the Gunsmith Cats are now in Sumida ward of Tokyo, where they are on a bounty hunt assignment and making matters worse, the two Greeds are there, ready to launch havoc…
While the rest are busy with other things, Genta and Mitsuhiko made a brief appearance as they passed by an ice cream convention, not noticing that Radinov is after someone.
Ankh also appeared, and because he failed to alter Shinichi's face, Radinov believe that Shinichi is him, not knowing that the Greed is possessing the teen detective's body, and she would soon find out the error she failed to figure out…
