Chapter 136

.

John Brown decided on whether to trust Xerxos to help free Magneto and others from being tortured in Hell. He consulted his new friend, Claire, Elle, Chief.

.

Chief: You say that Xerxos and others want to return to Earth. Who are the others?

John: Suppossedly some are evil enough to be the torturers here in Hell. But, suprisingly, it isn't too hard for them to desert, even switch sides.

Chief: Maybe we can trust Magneto, but the others who would be freed, how evil are they?

John: One was a woman named Leisha, she used gypsy magick to kill her abusive husband, John Constantine sent her to Hell. With Tyrone and Tandy staying to fight, Leisha would be neccessary to transport them to Earth. The others are approximately the same degree of Evil. As for the torturers, warlords, serial killers.

Chief: I don't think we should trust them.

John: There's something else to consider. Evil could sent them to Earth covertly, why would they need our help to get there?

Chief; To gain their trust, find out secrets, sabotage our friends down on Earth.

John: You make a valid point.

Chief: This feels like a Bugs Bunny cartoon to me.

John: Bear in mind I was hanged in 1859, references to modern popular culture are lost on me.

Chief: Sorry. Bugs often tricked his enemies, Yosemite Sam, Daffy Duck, into shooting or blowing themselves up. But, somehow, they were still alive after. Yet we were suppossed to believe that if Bugs was ever shot, he'd die. My point is, we kill them, they can just come back. They kill us, we get tortured until we come out like them, or we don't come out at all.

John: I see your point. There are moments when I question whether we have any real chance of winning this war. But all we can do is fight to save people when we can. You make some valid points, but I still think we should mount a rescue mission.
