A/N: A very small sequel to another story I wrote about Deeks' middle name. Again, written before we knew his real middle name.
"C'mon Deeks, we've been married for four years. Partners for fourteen, you have to tell me," Kensi begged, her voice falling somewhere between begging and nagging. She leaned over Deeks, both hands braced against the surface of his desk.
"The answer is still 'no'," Deeks answered with a detached tone that suggested he'd said this many times before.
"Deeks…"
"You can whine all you want, I'm still not telling you." Deeks gave her a brief smirk and she glared back at him.
"What are you guys fighting about now?" Callen asked, giving them a pointed look which they both ignored.
"Actually, I'm trying to get my husband to tell me his middle name," Kensi answered, clearly thinking that Callen would condemn Deeks for his egregious behavior.
"You don't know his middle name?"
"That's pretty bad," Sam agreed, shaking his head.
"It's not my fault, he never told me. And, he let me believe it was Andrew for years."
"Huh, you know, now that I think about it I don't think I've ever heard your middle name either," Callen mused, glancing at Deeks.
"And for good reason," Deeks muttered. Callen jabbed his pen in Kensi's direction.
"That still doesn't excuse you for not knowing. You're his wife."
"He's the one who's been lying all this time," Kensi protested.
"It's not a lie if you never asked. You assumed my middle name was Andrew and I just never bothered to correct you. Until now.
"So do we get to guess your real name?" Callen asked, grinning as Sam groaned and said,
"Why do you hate me?"
"Ooh, does the winner get a prize?" Eric asked excitedly from above them. "Cause I know the answer." Kensi immediately pushed off Deeks' desk, hurrying towards Eric.
"Wait, you know it?" Eric chuckled, clearly not seeing Deeks making a cutting motion across his neck.
"Uh yeah, I mean I help make all his IDs and stuff and have access to his birth records. Why wouldn't I know?"
"Eric," Kensi said with frightening intensity. "If you tell me, I will do anything you want."
"Um…" Deeks got up, stepping in front of Kensi. Eyes flicking between the two of them, Eric started to look a little nervous and took a step back.
"Eric, Buddy, you can't do this to me. Think of all we've been through together," Deeks said.
"Eric, you tell me and I'll do whatever you want for a month."
"That's really not necessary," Eric said uncomfortably as both Kensi and Deeks slowly approached him.
"You have to tell me," Kensi repeated. Eric made a distressed sound and tapped his ear piece.
"You know what, I think I heard Nell calling me. Have to go." As he scurried off, Kensi muttered under her breath,
"You can run, but you can't hide from me, Eric Beale."
