Hiya~ it's Alii. I got a prompt for ya! I was reading the other prompt that you wrote for an anon, and it definitely got me thinking: What were to happen if Sonic and Amy were official, but had to keep it hidden? I'm picturing them stumbling to do so, especially Amy. Try to keep them as canon as possible, which I know is hard, but it can be done! Also, if you could, I would love to see how suspicious Tails gets. He'd probably pick up on Sonic's change of behaviour? aa thank you! xx

I LOVE CANON! lol, it's a hard field to work with, but it's doable. Just… gotta be sneaky with it~ haha!

I totally headcanon that if Sonic and Amy were being more 'cute' and 'slightly open/obvious' about something, that Tails would definitely be the first to spot it. He's always with Sonic, and would see the change of behavior.

Instead of keeping it 'secret' maybe I can tweak it to be more like, they just don't notice how close and cute they're being? Again, in canon ruling, Sonic must not show any signs of actual attraction to Amy. Loophole! Doesn't mean he can't be sweet and charming to her! It's a strange rule, but I think it's there to protect her against some things like Archie's making Sonic kiss and run with almost all the girls in the comics.

Luckily~ Though~ There's also a quiet rule of Amy's loyalty to Sonic, and how she just kinda… shows her heart? She's a very honest and sincere character, it's hard to stay mad at her for too long. Same with some of what Sonic does.

Prompt:

"You did it, Sonic!"

"We knew you could."

"Almost had me worried there for a moment."

"Ah, gee. Really, Knuckles? I would have thought you'd have more faith in me." Sonic walked back to his team, having once again saved the world with their much needed help, but Sonic's final battle was the real victory in the long run, as Amy couldn't contain herself.

She jumped to hug him but he moved without seeing her leaping, and she fell down as he walked up to Tails and put a hand to his shoulder, "Thanks for the extra power ring, Tails. I couldn't have spiraled through that thick armor without it!"

"Haha! No problem. What are friends for?" Tails, turning slightly modest, looked down shyly and nodded, before back up with a friendly smile and some motions with his hands.

"PAH!" Amy, now down on the ground, spat out some dirt and looked up, slightly upset at her miss, but standing up to try again.

Sonic nodded to Tails, and turned immediately to Knuckles, as Amy leaped and accidentally knocked into Tails, having him flail his arms around and get knocked over by her. "W-wo-woah!"

"Knuckles!" Sonic held out a hand as Knuckles had his arms folded, and laughed to himself before taking his, doing a bro-hold for a moment. "Without that information from your ancestors, we could have never sealed that ancient power away for good, and back to the past, where it belongs." he nodded, as Knuckles shared his focused look and nodded too.

"It's back with Chaos now. I'm sure it won't be disturbed again." He let go of Sonic's hand and folded his own once more, before they both shared an equal nod.

"And- I do believe I'm missing someone." Sonic comically turns around, half rolling his eyes as he does so, and putting his hands on his hips while tilting his head as he looks down at the funny scene.

Tails was spread out and dizzy, as Amy got up and off of him, looking apologetic as she puts her fists up to her face, and then tries to help him up as he has swirls in his eyes.

"Oh, now you notice?" Amy states, in a bit of a sassy tone, as she helps balance Tails once he's raised up back on his feet.

She holds her hands out a moment to make sure he can steady himself on his own, as he whimpers out- "I'm fine."

She then turns to Sonic, looking upset as she also holds her hands on her hips, leaning in. "And what? Any kind words or notions to say to me?" she must have been pretty upset that he 'accidentally' dodged her twice.

"Without that last emerald, we wouldn't have been able to silence that thing once and for all. It would have sent us on a wild goose chase, which means-"

"Which means~ Without me, you would have had to waste more time searching the planet for it, and by then, the world would have already been evaporated into ancient particle dust!" Amy exaggerated her animated motions, but it only made Sonic smile and shake his head, looking down before putting his hands out to her, opening his arms out wide and stepping more directly in front of her.

This action made her surprised, and she stepped back slightly, looking him up and down.

"Take your pick, Amy." Sonic smirked, but his eyes were kind about it. "You can either jump into it,… or you can walk and make this less awkward. You're choice."

Realizing his spread out arms were an invitation to hug him, Amy's face slowly began to light up with joy, making her squee and do a run in spot, before thinking about which approach to go.

Sonic just looked up and slightly shook his head. Waiting wasn't his strong point.

Knuckles smiled and slowed blinked, seeing as Sonic was going to be kind for her, he thought it only right to give her a funny option like that.

Tails was a bit surprised though with Amy,… Sonic wasn't usually so…

"Hehe! Oh, Sonic!" Amy finally decided, she ran and leaped right into them, turning her head on the impact as Sonic's face turned from kind, to terrified, as she raced in and pummeled him to the ground.

"Ah! A-Amy! Take it easy! Ack! Too tight! Too close! A-Amy!"

"Ohh~ Don't act like this hasn't happened before! Hehee~" Amy rubbed her head on his chest and just below his chin, making him squirm to try and get some air and just… just some room to move!

His arms moved around, but nothing that attempted to get Amy off him, and his legs kicked a little, but nothing that would jolt her to stop what she was doing.

Looking down at the seen, Knuckles just laughed to make fun of Sonic, but Tails put a questioning hand up to his face, holding his chin, as his tails swished behind him.

He was clearly analyzing this, and realized that Sonic wasn't really fighting her back… more so, just seemed uncomfortable with how close Amy was.

It's true that Amy tackles him a lot,… but to the ground?

When Amy had her fill of 'loving doting' she got up off her hero and let him sit up, as he looked back to her with droopy eyes as his head shook again, as if saying indirectly to her, 'Really? Every time?' as the team laughed and smiled, and Tails and Knuckles helped them up.

The rest of the dialogue proceeded, but Amy held onto Sonic's arm, and he seemed to ignore or not pay attention to it, as Amy would look up to him every now and then in the scene with very loving, happy, and admiring eyes.

As they walked off, Sonic gave one glance back to her, smiling, as Amy gave him a big, closed-eyed open grin, letting a cute laugh slip out before he looked away.

Tails looked back, "Huh?" a silent question and suspicion of how close those two had gotten over the years in his mind…

He kept his face forward, but his eyes looking back the rest of the walk before the camera rolled up to show the ending title sequence.

(:D hurray! Lol, in Canon, everything is very much centered around gameplay, so I made it the ending of an adventure to show it! I kinda already feel they've been dating for a long time, but just don't call it anything. I hope this funny scenario shows a little more light on the 'bond' these two have, and how it CAN happen, if done properly. I hope it works for you, my dear bestie! ;D)
