Paraguay's truth

Chapter 145

Leroy Jethro Gibbs continued to shake his head in disbelief. "You mean to tell me that the past 34 years was a lie having me think that you and Shannon were dead?"

"Daddy it could have been helped! We were only given an hour to grab our things at the house before taking off by helicopter out of the country. Do you really think I liked the decision that mommy had made back then?" Kelly needed to say. "Look once you're better with this latest injury. We will be coming to see you and tell you the truth. Mother didn't like the fact that I was tired of living my life knowing that my father was alive and needed the truth. This was my decision daddy."

"Do you know that showing up at my death's door is really too much to bear?" he cried out with feeling the pull of his body.

"Bye daddy," she responded with disappearing as well.

"He's coming back everyone." the medical technician had to say with using the paddles on one Leroy Jethro Gibbs zapping his heart to bring him back to be extremely unsettling.

"Dear God!" Loriele had to say with tears having to be falling down her face once again with this latest scaring her.

"We will be at the hospital in five minutes reaching Bethesda hospital. Everyone had been alerted including Doctor Cyril Taft and Doctor Gilbert." the technician needed to say to the wife shaking her head having this happen to him again.

Meanwhile, NCIS and Director Leon Vance had the team go over the entire area for any others that might be been involved in the plot that knew anything. So far there were a total of 15 involved having been arrested and taken to the Naval Yards for processing. This had a bad taste in the Director's mouth after being told about the plot to try and kill Special Agent Gibbs once again. He slammed his fist against the wall to have him cry out with Doctor Palmer in the area of his cries.

He came over with his medical equipment to check his fist for any further damage. "It looks like there is some cartilage damage. I am going to have to take you back to NCIS to take some x-rays to verified it, director." Doctor Palmer replied.

"Do what is necessary Doctor Palmer? I am just pissed off that Gibbs had to be injured once again. Just after he had told me about partially retiring."

"I can't believe that sir. Agent Gibbs is the best man working all of these years. Why now even though I do know he's past mandatory age?"

"He said to me that he's not able to do it anymore with each and every case for where he's injured. He doesn't wish to ruin his marriage any further."

"I am truly sorry to hear this with Special Agent Gibbs. I did notice that lately he's not been himself since shooting McGee, my wife Breena dying from the virus. Then add the fact Sloane left and now Emily passing away from the drug overdose." Palmer needed to say.

Operating room on standby

Doctor CYRIL TAFT having been notified at home. He was able to head out quickly in the middle of a late dinner with his wife Catherine. She was rather upset having been told the news about Gibbs being injured.

"Please call me Cyril with an update for when you're able to get the chance?" she cried out as he runs out of the house and into his vehicle in front.

Taking 15 minutes to reach the hospital racing on the highway. He was lucky that there weren't any state patrol officers on the road at the time.

Reaching the hospital by entering the emergency room entrance with talking to the staff on the ground floor. He was told that his team was waiting in the operating room three with their patient being prepped for surgery.

Taking the freight elevator to the eighth floor and the surgery ward. He met up with Doctor Gilbert and another specialist scrubbing up. "DO YOU HAVE THE X-RAYS AND OTHER TESTS TAKEN ON THE WOUND?" he asked with getting himself ready for the surgery.

Taking a look at the films. He wasn't liking the way the wound was looking for the moment. He shook his head not believing this situation with his friend being injured in a sex club of all places.

They began to work on him by starting with repairing the muscle just above the groin area. Doctor Anders a specialist as well for restoring blood flow and circulation was able to restore the main artery. While Doctor Taft and Gilbert continued to work. While three pints of blood plasma were being pumped into his body with his blood pressure at 90 over 50 for the moment has to be rising slightly.

One of the nurses working next to Taft was able to wipe his brow with a tissue before he was able to continue on with his work. He had been talking to the team no stop talking to his friend on the table on how he was able to first meet him in the U.S.S. Daniel Webster.

"Did you happened Doctor to be talking his ear off?" Doctor Gilbert had to say on the subject.

"Actually I did as with the rest of the team. I asked him to buy me a single malt when he was healed. It was later when he showed up at the diner as a surprise and he had the rather large container of the Single Malt."

"When did you finish it?" Doctor Gilbert asked with the importance of the question.

"That night at home with my wife Catherine having joined me. And I must tell you it went down smoothly," he replied with finishing up the last of the damage. "That's it we need to get him to recovery and keep a close watch on him around the clock for now," he ordered with his team closing up the wound with Doctor Gilbert to finish up with closing the wound and placing the pressure bandage on it.

Once he had scrubbed up. Taft headed for the waiting room for where once again he's going to be talking with Gibbs's wife. It's amazing how much trouble this man can get into everywhere he goes?"

Moving out to head for the waiting room. He walked inside for where Loreile was waiting. She moved quickly off the chair wanting to know about her husband's condition.

"He's going to be in recovery for a little while now. Before he's moved to ICU. I am issuing orders to have an around-the-clock watch on Gibbs with it being twofold with his wound and chances that Gibbs heart might give us trouble."

"Can I go see him Cyril?" she begged to have to love her husband too much and she had always hated to see him like this all of the time.

"Of course you can Loreile. When he wakes. Try and keep it simple for god sake nothing heavy?" he suggested with Loreile and her need to talk with her husband and vice versa.

She moved out of the waiting room to head for his room that they had placed him in to be closer to the nurse's station in case of trouble.

When she had moved inside his slightly darkened room with all of the equipment working in order to keep track of his vitals.
