Paraguay's truth

Chapter 146

Loreile didn't know what to think any further. Especially she had no idea on whether this was worth it being married to this man any longer. Every place they go and do of late that her husband always winds up getting hurt in the process. It was bad enough that he had spent two months in the hospital due to the Cartel in Paraguay.

And now they have caught up to Gibbs again with overtaking the sex club with almost killing him again. She was sitting in the room closing her eyes having to be totally physical and mentally exhausted having to be pregnant with their third child.

Currently, her stomach was a nervous wreck with the baby active inside. She was able to hear the heart monitor going along as with the rest of the devices. But she was more worried about his heart after being told that his heart had gone out a few times.

A person's heart can hold out only so long before it finally gives up and this is what Doctor Cyril Taft had been telling her. What must she have to do with her husband in order to finally take it easy with retirement?

Sitting inside his ICU. She closed her eyes trying to clear her mind for now while watching his face sleeping peacefully. Even though he had pumped filled with pain medication.

Getting up for the moment to head on over to his bed with brushing back his silver head. Once again needing another haircut needing his usual Marine cut. Though his friend Ray usually cuts his hair had been staying in California with his son Johan servicing in the Marines and having gotten back from an eight-month deployment.

A nurse comes in to check on his vitals in order to write them down onto his medical chart. As per orders from Doctor Taft and the others on his case.

She didn't bother to stay all that long while checking his breathing mask noticing that his breathing was much better. She made a note onto the chart on whether Doctor Taft was going to remove it giving the sign that he was doing better.

Moments later she had heard a moan escaping out of his mouth to alert her further. She moved over to him to watch him opened his eyes fluttering further.

"Welcome back stud?" she cried out meaning as a joke.

His throat was dry and she was able to pour some cold water for him to drink. "Drink it, slow baby," she stated with the response.

"How long have I been out Loreile?" he replied with his voice somewhat low.

"Four hours baby. Doctor Taft and his team were able to work on you once again. So try and take it easy?" she stated to her husband.

"I felt again the stabbing of the knife Jake had in his hand before plunging it into my groin area. Currently, I don't feel a thing." he cried out with a panicked look on this face.

"That's because you're being given a ton of medication along with the fact they applied for the Cell regeneration program once again. This had got to be a record for any patient to be given to them like yourself?" she said...

"I just don't believe this Loreile that I am back in the hospital?" he commented with a slight groin escaping from his mouth.

"Jesus what is wrong Jethro?" she asked with grave concern.

"Chest," he said with Loreile going over to turn on the intercom on the wall.

"Can I help you?" a voice from the nurse's station answered.

"Special Agent Gibbs is having some type of a problem with his chest. Can you please send someone right away?" she asked with emotion.

"Someone will be right there," she said before Doctor Sanchez came in with a nurse behind him to take a look at his chest.

"Relax Special Agent Gibbs I am Doctor Sanchez to check for anything that might be causing your breathing issues," he said with pressing his hand against his chest. "I am going to order medication that will help with your breathing." he turned to face the nurse coming in with giving the order with writing it down on the chart.
