I quietly and slowly walk into the house. I was almost certain that today was the day Randy and I were going to have a detailed conversation about what caused his suspension from work. I knew I was not going to like whatever he was going to say. I had a feeling that this was going to cause another disagreement between the two of us.

Spike comes over to me excitedly. I lean over and start petting him. Randy enters the room.

"I thought I heard you come in." Randy says quietly. "Welcome home."

I smile. "Thanks. I'm glad to be home."

"Good. Let me get your bags."

"I can carry them upstairs."

Randy grabs the bags and starts walking upstairs. "Just let me do this for you."

"You're already doing it." I reply as I follow Randy upstairs.

Randy enters the bedroom and starts unpacking my bags for me. "Did you have a good time at work?"

"Yeah, John Laurinaitis is out of power. I already have a match for Money in the Bank."

"You do? What is it?"

"A Triple Threat match against Beth and Eve. It's also for my Divas Championship of course."

"Oh I see." Randy pulls me into a kiss. "I'm sure you'll be fine."

I kiss him back. "I should be."

Randy continues to put stuff away for me. "Anything else going on at work?"

"Not really. I haven't heard anything from Big Show."

"That's probably for the better."

"Yeah, it probably is."

Randy finished putting my stuff away for me. "Here we're all good."

"Thanks, Randy."

"Of course." Randy sits next to me on the bed. "You know that I love you with every fiber of my being, right?"

"I know. I love you too."

Randy pulls me into his arms. "I know that, sweetheart. I'm really sorry about this whole situation."

"I know you're sorry, but I'm not sure that you even understand why it upset me so much."

Randy sighs. "I actually think I do understand why I made you that upset."

"You do?"

"Yeah, I do. I upset you because I didn't tell you before you were able to hear about it from someone else. Hell, I can't blame you because you should've been hearing it from me."

"Okay, you do understand. You should've said something to me immediately though. Yeah, I was upset about the letter I had read. Yes, I would've been mad still, but I'd at least be hearing about it from you."

"That's fair. You deserved that, even if I didn't go telling anyone else. You deserved that."

"Yeah, what bothers me though is that I still can't possibly fathom what you could've done to get suspended."

Randy sighs. "I was pretty stupid."

"No kidding."

"Do you remember when I went to Tyler's and ended up crashing there with him and Kenny for the night?"

"Yeah, that was May 25."

"It was. You've got a great memory. Anyway, you know we were drinking that night, but uh…drinking wasn't the only thing we were doing."

"Not the only thing you were doing? You three were really that stupid?"

"Yeah, I got tested the following Monday at work and got the call the night after. I got suspended."

"That's really stupid of all three of you, but especially when it comes to you. We get tested every week at work."

"I know. That was completely stupid on my part."

"No kidding. Was it worth it?"

"No, it wasn't."

"You can't do that again. You're in your thirties, Randy. Grow up. You're a dad. You shouldn't be doing that shit."

"I know that, Rissa. It won't happen again."

"It better not. You screwed up a lot of shit. You're missing the one thousandth episode of Raw, which is literally here in Saint Louis. We won't be able to spend my birthday together. Do I need to go on?"

"What do you mean we won't be spending your birthday together?"

"My birthday is on a Monday. I have Raw."

"I knew it was a Monday, but I thought you were taking your birthday off."

"I never said that I was."

"So you're actually going to work on your birthday?"

"It's not the first time, but it's not like we didn't work on your birthday this year too."

"WrestleMania was on my birthday. This is just an episode of Raw. We have those weekly."

"I'm the Divas Champion, Randy. I'm not taking it off."

"So you're so pissed off that you won't even take your birthday off so we can be together?"

"I'm not taking my birthday off because we're already losing some money because you got suspended. I'm pissed but not pissed enough for that. But just so you know, you've lost quite a bit of my trust. That's going to take some time to get back."

I cross my arms as I look at Randy before standing up and leaving the room.

I settled into one of the guest rooms for tonight instead of sharing my bed with Randy after our disagreement. I put on my reading glasses and opened the letter numbered twenty-seven.

Date: November 29, 2004

Dear Marissa, It's been about four weeks, and you haven't talked to me again. I had hoped that you would come around, but I understand why you didn't.

Tonight I decided to watch Raw with Colby. I saw you make an appearance. Seems like you are going on TV more often now. While tonight you were only in a small segment, they seemed to start setting up a storyline for you.

I hope this goes the way you want it to be, but I don't think it'll ever be anything that I'm fond of. I hope it makes you happy though. I'm anticipating how the future will be.

Love, Mom

I put my glasses back away as I set my letter down on the nightstand. While not as irritating as the last letter, I still got under my skin as my mother never quite accepted my career choice, even though I could've chosen something much worse.

I sigh before turning the light off and laying down before going to bed.
