Unova Part 6
Ash, Lillie, Golly, Iris and Cilan finally arrive at the Aspertia City. Stepping off the cruise ship, Golly asks, "So are you going to the gym first?"
Ash says, "Not yet. Since we are here at Aspertia City, I want to see if they are here."
"They?" Iris and Cilan are confused, but Lillie knows what he is talking about. As they are in front of the door, Ash knocks it and then much to the others surprise, the Champion of the Tremin Region, opens the door and she says, "Oh my, Ash, Lillie."
"Aunt Thrister, sorry that we come without notice." Ash says.
"It's fine." Thrister says, "Please come inside, my husband is also at home, and he will like to talk to you."
As the others enter the room, Ash greets his uncle Ghetsis. Ghetsis says, "Ash, Golly, how have you two been? Since after that incident with Aurora..."
Ash and Golly frown, and Ash says, "It is fine, regardless of us, what about you guys? Because of both Team Plasma and Team Evil in Unova and Tremin, you have been forced to hide..."
Thrister says, "I know it is unfortunate for us, but we can only make sure that we won't be found out."
Iris and Cilan are confused, and with their explanation, they are shocked to learn that Ghetsis was the leader of the Team Plasma. Ghetsis asks, "So Ash, you must be here for the Gym, is that right?"
"Of course." Ash says, "Do you know where the gym is?"
"It is located at the Trainer's School of this region." Thrister says, "You can see it if you continue forward."
"Okay." Lillie says as they decide to talk for some more before getting to the gym.
But as they are heading to the gym, they see a boy walking towards them, he is asking for a battle against them, and Lillie is the one that accepts the battle. So she uses Patrat against his Snivy. After a series of attack, Patrat evolves into Watchog and defeats the Pokemon with a Super Fang.
Unova Dex Entry No.12 Watchog: The Lookout Pokemon: Normal Type. Evolved from Patrat at LV:20. Using luminescent matter, it makes its eyes and body glow and stuns attacking opponents.
Hugh recalls his Pokemon and mutters, "I am not strong enough…Are you guys having gym challenges as well?"
Ash says, "I am, and you too?"
"Of course." Hugh says, "Let's hope we can face each other in the League."
After they bid farewell, they finally reach the school that is said to be the gym, and Ash says, "So this is the school where the gym is."
"Yeah." Iris says as they see a teacher walking past them, they ask if they know the gym leader, and they are surprised that the person they are asking is actually the gym leader.
"I am the Gym Leader, Cherren. And this gym is newly built, since we want the trainers who graduate from this school can learn."
Cilan says, "I see. The students can know more about the gyms."
Then Ash asks for a gym battle, Cheren takes them outside to the field.
They have a 2 on 2 battle. Cheren sends out Patrat first. Ash sends out Scraggy. Scraggy uses Leer to make Patrat lower his attack, then using Brick Break to hit him. Patrat uses Scratch, which has hurt Scraggy. Scraggy uses Bulk Up and then fires a Focus Blast, then defeating him.
Cheren recalls Patrat and sends out Herdier, Herdier defeats Scraggy with Fire Fang. So Ash sends out Oshawott. Much to their shock, it can also use Thunder Fang, but Oshawott uses his scallop to block the attack and defeat him with Water Gun.
The children are motivated at the battle and say that they want to battle him. Cheren is touched, he says thanks Ash and gives him the Basic Badge.
When they get outside, Hugh comes again.
"Please, can I have a gym battle with you? I want to be strong." Hugh says.
Cheren says, "Strong isn't anything, why do you want to be strong?"
"Because…" Hugh doesn't know how to say, so he just yells, "Just give me one, please."
"Sure." Cheren says.
Ash and his friends watch the battle, Cheren easily defeat Hugh and his Snivy. Hugh blames himself to be weak and rush out.
"I will go find him." Ash says as he chases him to the lookout.
"Hugh?" Ash asks.
"What do you want?" Hugh asks, Ash notices that he was crying.
"Why do you want to be strong?" Ash asks.
"Can you not ask me this?" Hugh yells at him.
"Hey, I only want to help…" Ash is surprised at the sudden yell.
Hugh notices Ash and he is speaking the truth, Hugh turns around and says, "The thing is, I only want to be strong so I can defeat Team Plasma. They hurt my sister and take away her Purrloin, because I am not strong enough!"
Ash then pities him, he says, "I see. But from what I heard, you have tried to save her. You doesn't sound like a weak person."
"But I failed my sister. I have found Purrloin and make my sister happy…"
Ash says, "We can help you. When we find Purrloin, we will talk to you and give it back to you."
Hugh says, "And how can I trust you?"
Ash shows him the International Police ID card, and Hugh is surprised that he is the leader of the said organization, so he decides to trust him in the end.
Back at the Aspertia Gym, Hugh decides to challenge again. This time he has won against Cheren and gets the badge. Hugh thanks Ash and his friends for everything and leaves.
Ash and his friends arrive at Floccesy Town. Lillie has participating the contest. They meet Terry there, who is also here for Contests.
"This time I won't lose, Terry." Lillie says.
"Sure. I will see about that." Terry replies.
In the appeal rounds, Terry uses Zoroark, Bisharp and Drapion. Zoroark uses the Illusions to make Bisharp cut though with Blades. Then Drapion uses Pin Missile to make an ending. Lillie uses Karrablast, Shelmet and Sewaddle to do the battles. They use String Shots to make a sculpture, and Karrablast finishes with a Horn Leech to shatter the sculpture into a glow. Both of the Contestants advance to the battle rounds.
They meet each other in the finals. Lillie commands Shelmet to use Struggle Bug, but when she sees Drapion, she just hide inside her shell. Causing Lillie to panic. Terry asks Zoroark to use Flamethrower and it hits the 3 Pokemon, causing Lillie's points to lower. But She come up with an Idea, she trusts Karrablast to throw the Shell of Shelmet and it surprises Terry and the three Pokemon. Then they use String Shot to tie them up, causing them to not move as the time runs out. Lillie wins and gets her second ribbon.
"Nice done, Lillie." Iris says.
"Yeah, what a way to use String Shot." Cilan says.
Terry comes and greets them, and Ash asks, "Terry, do you know anything about Agent Daybreak?"
Terry blinks a little and says, "Aren't you the boss of the International Police? How would I suppose to know that?"
"Right. I want to tell you that she will be also working to find Team Plasma members. If you meet her, assist her without any doubt."
"Okay." Terry says, "But why telling me this?"
"Because she gave me an intel that Team Plasma is at Floccesy Ranch." Ash says, "As an International Police member, I want you to assist me as we are going there to stop them."
"Okay." Terry says, "I'll help out."
They have got there and met the owners of the ranch, they told them that their Herdier has been stolen by people who wore black clothes. They head further and find two Team Plasma grunts.
"Stop right there and surrender!" Terry yells at them.
One grunt says, "We won't let you foil Team Plasma's plan."
Terry says, "Their uniforms are different from the ones in our world...that is for sure."
"They are from the Darker Dimension, it is no doubt that they are different." Golly says.
They send out Deino and Vullaby, Ash uses Sylveon do easily defeat them.
"Grr…. We will be back for revenge." The two grunts then escape, but they aren't just going to let them go, as they chase them to a Laboratory, where they see someone that shocks them the most.
"No way...uncle Colress..." Lillie and Terry mutter, which causes the others to look at them with surprise.
"It seems that we have some intruders here." The evil Colress says, "And the famous Ash Ketchum and Lillie Aether as well."
He summons his brainwashed Pokémon: Galvantula, Beartic, Scolipede, and Mienshao. Ash asks, "What did you do to them?"
"They are being affected by the EM waves, and this machine has driven them to furious aggression against humans while leaving them under Team Plasma's complete control."
"EM waves..." Ash and Lillie recognize the thing as they tried to make one before, but it was being confiscated by the real Colress. They try to have their Pokemon attack the brainwashed Pokmon, and the evil Colress has his interest grows.
"I see that you are bringing out the incredible strength in your Pokemon." Colress says as he attaches a receiver to Pikachu's head and activates his machine.
"Oh no!" Ash gasps in shock as Pikachu is now under Team Plasma's control.
The brainwashed Mouse Pokémon quickly launches a vicious attack against its friends, seemingly deaf to Ash's pleas for it to stop.
"It is no use, we have to try get Pikachu out of control." Lillie says as they try to do it. In the end, with the pleas and the begging, Pikachu has been finally return to normal.
Colress is delighted by Pikachu's resilience, he wants to research it, but the grunts tell him that there is no time. Terry also uses the chance to have his Hydreigon destroy the machine, Colress' attempts to save his mainframe are in vain; his console explodes, the wild Pokémon are freed.
"No..." Colress is shocked at first, but he says, "I already have all the data that I need, we'll find another place to our research." Then they manage to escape by using Smokescreen.
"Damn it, they get away..." Iris says.
"It's fine, at least we save those Pokemon." Ash says.
After Nurse Joy begins tending to the remaining wild Pokémon affected by Colress' device, Ash and his friends are now outside and Lillie asks, "Ash, do you remember how we built the EM Waves? It could be our chance to stop Team Plasma."
"I have already forgot about it, since Uncle Colress doesn't want us to research about it." Ash says.
"But right now we have to tell our real Uncle Colress about this." Terry says, "I'll do it."
"Okay, we're counting on you." Ash says as they bid farewell to Terry.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Ash and the group have won their second gym badge and met their new rival Hugh. They also meet the Darker Version of Team Plasma for the first time. But what are they planning and how are they going to stop them?
