Raw: July 16, 2012

I looked at John as we were tossing a ball back and forth in his locker-room. "So you're going to be cashing in at Raw 1000 next week? Not waiting long, Cena?"

John laughed. "Nope. I'm not the type to wait long. You did great last night too by the way."

"Thanks. Are you excited for the baby shower on Sunday?"

John grinned. "Yeah, I just feel like everything is going so fast. I'm about to be a dad."

"It seems crazy. How do you think I could convince my dad to let Randy come backstage next week?"

"You could try. He came on your birthday early this month. You'll be in your hometown, and his suspension will be only a week away from being done. Just go stop by your dad's office and ask. I don't see why he wouldn't allow it. Does Randy know you want him backstage next week?"

"Not yet. I'll tell him when I get home this week."

"That sounds like a good idea, Rissa. I'm excited. We haven't done anything as our whole friend group in a while."

"It won't be our whole friend group though."

"I told Michelle that Eve could come if she wanted to invite her, despite my feelings about her behavior these past few months."

"I asked her if she wanted to send an invite to Eve when I was doing the invitations for you guys. She said no. She sent Cody one though, and he did RSVP for it."

"But we both know that she would want Eve there. Maybe not due to how she's been lately, but in her heart, we both know that Michelle would love to have Eve there."

"She said that she didn't want to invite her though. I'm not going against a pregnant woman."

"Me either. I know better."

"I obviously am not the one having the kid, but this kid is making me think about a lot of things."

"Like what?"

"How important your relationships with different people are. My marriage has been a bit rocky lately, but I have friendships that aren't perfect either. I know we both deserve an apology from Eve, but maybe there's stuff I should apologize for too."

"If you think you need to apologize to her, apologize to her."

"It's not Eve that I'm talking about. It's Randy."

"Oh. Well, he's your husband. Talk to him if there's something you need to talk about."

"Thanks for the advice, Cena. What would I do without you and Chelle?"

John laughs. "You'd go insane."

("Glamazon" plays)

Beth makes her way towards the ring with a microphone. I roll my eyes as I watch from a monitor backstage, knowing she was about to complain about how I didn't beat her to win last night. I sigh as Beth enters the ring and starts walking around.

"Last night, Marissa Orton managed to retain the Divas Championship, but she got lucky. She keeps getting lucky. Her entire Divas Championship reign has been based around luck, and I'm sick of it! I deserve a one on one match against her for the Divas Championship where no one else can get involved! I…"

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

I made my way down to stand on the ramp. "Beth, this is ridiculous. I've retained through three matches against you. I spent most of my last Divas Championship reign wrestling against you. I am sick of this. You need a break from getting chances at the Divas Championship. We've been going at it for like a year now. I want new competition. All of this between us…I'm done with it."

Beth rolled out of the ring and got in my face. "Here's the thing, Marissa. I'm not done, so we're not done. I'm going to get another match for the Divas Championship whether you like it or not."

"Then you should start earning it, Beth. I'm tired of letting you get handed championship match after championship match. You need to start learning about getting in line and earning things the fair way."

"You haven't defeated me! You beat the other opponent in both Triple Threat matches, and Eve caused a Disqualification in the singles match! I'm getting a match the way I want it!"

"You can get the match the way you want it when you actually earn another match. There's plenty of Divas who have had to wait months to get their opportunity because you are so entitled! Start earning your matches like everyone else, Beth! I'm the Divas Champion! Deal with it!"

Beth slaps me across the face. I stumble. When I start to stand up, Beth nails me with a Clothesline. She then grabs me and throws me into the tron before dragging me backstage by my hair.

Beth drags me through guerilla. Once we exit guerilla, she throws me into a stage case. Beth goes to grab from behind, but I elbow her in the face. I then bounce Beth's head off of the stage case. I then throw her into a table. When I go to grab Beth again, she hits me with a pipe. I kneel over in pain. Beth and I continue to fight and end up in the parking lot. I go to slap her, but she grabs my arm. Beth grabs my arm before hitting me with a Headbutt. She then threw me into the side of a nearby parked ambulance.

Beth stomped on me. "Think about that Divas Champion match now, bitch."

I struggle to stand as Beth walks away. Ted runs into the parking lot and helps me up.

"Let's head to the trainer's." Ted says to me.

I nod. "Alright."

The trainer looks at me after checking to make sure I was alright. "Beth knew what she was doing. You're not injured. You're just banged up. I just wouldn't suggest that you wrestle tomorrow. Other than that, you should be all good."

"Good because I'm going to kick her ass when I get my chance."

John walks in on the phone. "Rissa, take my phone. You've got a worried husband to handle."

"Okay." I take the phone from John.

Randy: "Rissa?"

Me: "Hey, I'm here. I'm just a little banged up. No injuries."

Randy: "That's good. Are you alright?"

Me: "I'm just angry."

Randy: "I figured you'd be. Are they making you stay out of the ring?"

Me: "Just for tomorrow. That's all. Um…I think I'm just going to come home."

Randy: "Oh, you are? Let me know when you should be back in Saint Louis. I'll pick you up from the airport."

Me: "Okay. Thank you. I'm going to go now, so I can give Cena his phone back. If you need to talk more, I can call you when I get back to my locker-room."

Randy: "Okay, thank you, sweetheart. Love you."

Me: "I love you too. Bye."

I ended the call and sighed before handing John his phone back.

Beth was going to pay.
