Chapter 174

.

Cole led the charmed one, as well as Buffy and Faith, to this new republic of pirates. Cole found himself a bit dissapointed by what he saw. What he heard of the original republic said it was egaliatarian, in many ways more civilized than the "proper" society of its day. He did not see this here. Those who had once believed in the ideals of their republic, like Benjamin Hornigold were nowhere to be seen. Either these individuals were not in Hell, or they were trying to renounce the ways of Evil. Either way, they had no place in this kingdom. Women were raped on the streets, slaves were auctioned off in the public square. The main group tried not to get involved, they had a specific mission and tried not to stand out. That plan lasted less than five minutes. Some men tried to abduct Phoebe, to drag her into an alley and rape her. All seven of them came to Phoebe's aid and attacked these rapists. Cole used his own demonic powers to destroy them, only one managed to escape alive. The group tried to find Chrissy and Bianca, word quickly spread about the fight. Within an hour they were approached by a woman, one of the most famous women pirates of all time, Anne Bonny.

.

In life Anne was the bastard child of a married man. She was looked down upon and called a bastard since she was an infant. Her father raped her repeatedly, until she set fire to his house at the age of 13. After that, Anne had noone, she soon fell into piracy. As an irish catholic she had no problem attacking the ships of her english protestant oppressors. She also seemed to have little ualms about slavery or the oppression of women overall, as long as she wasn't constrained. Anne was a part of the Republic of Pirates, eventually a part of the anti-pardon faction. She was eventually caught, convicted, and executed at the age of 24.

.

Anne; I hear you're some strong women, I could use a few good women like yourselves on my crew.

Piper: Thanks, but we're just here to get a few of our friends out of here. Chrissy Jenkins and Bianca Phoenix.

Anne: They're part of my crew, but they're not forced to be here. I'll take you to them, let them decide for themselves whether to stay or leave.

.

Anne took the group to her safehouse. She explained that this was a refuge for women who did not wish to be sex workers. Anne admitted that in life she didn't live up to the feminist ideals that were later assigned to her, but she was trying to do better now. Chrissy and Bianca were suprised to see the charmed ones here.

.

Chrissy: How's Billie?

Piper: She misses you, we'd like to bring you to her. And we want to bring Bianca back to Chris. He misses you.

Bianca: I miss him too, but I can't go.

Piper: Why do so many people prefer Hell.

Chrissy: Can't speak for anyone else, but I need to stay to help protect the women of this colony.

Bianca: Me too. We can at least protect some of them.

Chrissy: How about just opening a portal, and letting a few sex workers get to paradise. We'll come back, when there are no more women to protect from rapists.
