Raw: August 20, 2012

"I want you to relax and not worry about managing me tonight." Randy tells me as we sit together in our locker-room. "I can handle Del Rio by myself tonight."

I smile. "That's fine with me."

Randy raises an eyebrow at me. "Really? I thought you'd put up more of a fight over this."

I laugh. "I'm still sore, babe, so it's fine. I have my own things to worry about tonight."

"You do?" Randy asks curiously. "Like what?"

"I talked to AJ. There's a Battle Royal tonight to determine a new Number One Contender for the Divas Championship. Plus, I have promo time tonight too."

"Oh, I see. I hope you get a Number One Contender that will give you a fun time wrestling against whoever they are."

I grin. "Me too. I need a nice and long break from wrestling against Beth Phoenix."

"That's understandable."

"Yeah, so how do you feel about both Michelle and Maryse hoping to be on good terms with Eve again?"

I sigh. "I understand why both Michelle and Maryse want that, but I'm not looking for that myself. She reached out to both of them about talking about things. Michelle is making Eve wait until after the baby is born, but Ryse talked to Eve last night. From what Ryse told me, it went well. She didn't ever reach out to me though. Did she ever try to reach out to you?"

"No."

"Exactly, so I'm not going to make an effort to get on good terms with her. I can be civil, but that's it. Michelle is about to give birth, and Maryse is planning a wedding. I understand that they want everything to be good, but if I don't ever get an apology, I won't try to be friends with Eve."

"I agree with you one hundred percent. You're planning on being civil though, so that shouldn't be much of a problem."

"It shouldn't be a problem at all, Randy."

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the WWE Divas Champion, the Queen of Chaos, Marissa Orton!"

I make my way to the ring and grab a microphone. "Last night at SummerSlam, I was able to put the past year behind me and finally end all of this with Beth Phoenix. That being said, earlier tonight, I went and had a conversation with the general manager of Monday Night Raw AJ Lee. You know what she told me? AJ told me that there will be a Battle Royal to determine a new Number One Contender to my Divas Championship. And while most champions wouldn't like that, I'm elated to get the chance to face someone that isn't Beth Phoenix in a Divas Championship match after the past year. I'm sure you all are asking yourselves when is that Battle Royal going to take place? Well, the Number One Contender's Battle Royal is going to take place later tonight. And no matter who wins, I'll be looking forward to having a match against them. So best of luck to every woman who will be competing in the Number One Contender's Battle Royal tonight. Believe me, I'll be keeping a close eye on that match."

I put the microphone down and exit the ring. It felt good to finally move on from Beth after a year.

Kaitlyn, Eve, Natalya, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Tamina, and Rosa Mendez all stood in the ring for the Battle Royal.

With a girl like that…

I made my way over to ringside to watch the Battle Royal. I sat in a chair that was set out for me. All of the Divas who were in the ring stood and watched me.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Every Diva stood still as the Battle Royal began before they all started to brawl. Rosa and Aksana are eliminated first as they rolled out of the ring while brawling with each other.

Tamina and Natalya start working together and try to eliminate Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn manages to get away from both women without getting eliminated.

The two women then turn their attention to Alicia Fox. They try to eliminate her, but she also survives. They try to Suplex Alicia out of the ring to eliminate her, but she escapes and Dropkicks them out of the ring, almost eliminating both Natalya and Tamina. However, both women hang on.

Tamina goes to Irish Whip Natalya into Alicia, but Alicia moves out of the way, causing Natalya to get eliminated. Tamina Superkicks Alicia to eliminate her. Kaitlyn grabs Tamina and eliminates her.

Eve and Kaitlyn are the last two Divas in the ring. Eve gets Kaitlyn into a Fireman's Carry position and tries to eliminate her. Kaitlyn survives and gets off of Eve's shoulders before Clotheslining Eve out of the ring, eliminating Eve and winning the match.

"Here is your winner, Kaitlyn!"

I sat in my seat in surprise as Kaitlyn celebrated in the ring and Eve threw a fit at ringside.

I didn't know Kaitlyn very well. I was a Pro on the same season of NXT that she had been on, as Kaitlyn was on NXT during the same season that my rookie DJ Hardy had won. However, we didn't really have much time to hang out. I helped her with her wrestling a little bit, and I believe that we were on opposing teams in one Tag Team match during that season. However, I hadn't done any wrestling with Kaitlyn after that and would've expected Eve to beat her to win this Battle Royal.

I'm excited to see how the next few weeks go because this is exactly what I needed. Kaitlyn was exactly what I was looking for to move past Beth Phoenix. I smile at Kaitlyn and clap as I watch her continue to celebrate in the ring.
