John and I rushed out to his rental car. We both wanted to get to Chelle as soon as we could. Randy, Eve, and Cody all were required to be present for SmackDown tomorrow, so they couldn't go with us. Ted and Ryse were already with Chelle, so they would be with her at least until John and I arrived. I got in the driver's seat and quickly pulled out of the parking lot.

"Are you speeding?" John asks as I drove towards the airport.

"I am." I reply. "I'm getting us to the airport as quickly as possible, Cena. It's the birth of your child we're talking about."

"I know. Thank you."

I quickly rushed into the airport, with John following close behind me. I rushed into the line for buying tickets. It took about twenty minutes to get to the front of the line.

I look at the person working. "Hi, what's your soonest flight to Tampa?"

"We've got a flight to Tampa leaving in about forty-five minutes. Is that what you need a ticket to?"

"I actually need two tickets. My friend's wife is in labor, and we need to get there as soon as possible."

"Okay. I can get those for you. Those will be 292 dollars please."

I hand the worker money. "Here. Thank you so much."

"Of course." The worker hands me the tickets. "Here you go."

I take the tickets and rush over to Cena. "We have about forty minutes to get on the flight. We have to get over to our gate as soon as we can."

"Okay, thank you so much. Let's get going. I'm ready to be there for my wife and child."

I smiled at John. "Let's go."

We both started heading towards the gate.

Tuesday: August 28, 2012 2:27 A.M.

John and I showed up at the hospital. He rushed over to the front desk and talked to the woman that was up there before walking with someone who worked there towards the room where Chelle should be in labor. I stood and watched, exhausted, as John walked away. Ted waves me over to sit next to him.

Ted looked at me as I sat down next to him. "You look exhausted."

I sigh. "Exhausted and hungry. I didn't get any dinner."

Ted passed me a bag of chips. "Here. I bought a bunch of stuff from the vending machines. I figure we'll be here for a while. Ryse will probably be sitting out here with us too soon."

"That's likely. Thanks for the chips."

"Absolutely."

"I should probably let Randy know that I made it here."

"Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea."

"It wouldn't be if he's even still awake." I get my phone out of my purse and text Randy.

Me: Hey, just wanted to let you know that we made it to Tampa and are at the hospital.

Ted looks at me. "I bet he's still awake. He's probably going to wait to make sure that you got here safe."

"I'm not sure about that." I receive a text.

Randy: Good, glad you got there safely. Do you know how far along she is?

Me: No idea.

Ted smirks at me. "Is that Randy?"

"It is." I roll my eyes at Ted.

"Told you."

"Whatever."

Randy: So it might be a while? Sounds like you may not be sleeping tonight.

Me: Probably not, but you should be.

Randy: I will. Love you. Goodnight.

Me: I love you too. Goodnight.

Ryse approaches. "Hey, we might be here for a while. She isn't even fully dilated yet."

I move over a seat, so Ryse can sit next to Ted. "Looks like we may be pulling an all nighter."

Ted laughs. "This is why I brought board games."

9:23 P.M.

It's been almost twenty-four hours since Chelle went into labor. Ted, Ryse, and I had been awake the whole time. We were all exhausted, but we all wanted to be there for Chelle.

Ted sighed. "I never realized labor could take this long."

"It's not my first time in this situation." I comment. "I figured there was a chance."

"Well, I'll stay as I am needed."

"Me too."

Ted looks at Ryse. "Are you good?"

Ryse nods. "Yeah, I'm just tired."

"Understandable."

John walks into the waiting room. "Uh…hey, the baby's here. You guys wanna come see her?"

I smile. "Of course we do."

John grins. "Follow me."

Ted, Ryse, and I followed behind John to go see Chelle and the baby in the hospital room.

John opened the door to the hospital room and walked in. "Hey, Chelle. You've got company."

Chelle smiles as Ted, Ryse, and I walk in. "Hey, guys. Sorry, it took so long."

I grinned. "Don't be. She's beautiful."

Chelle looked down at the baby in her arms. "Yeah, she is. Do you guys want to hold her?"

Ryse nodded. "I'd love to."

Ted smiled as he watched the baby. "Me too."

I smiled. "Absolutely."

Chelle looked at Ryse. "Come hold her. I'm really tired. I'm going to be sleeping soon and have her taken to the nursery. And I'm sure you guys are tired too."

Ryse took the baby from Chelle. "We are, but this is so worth it. Plus, we all know that Randy, Cody, and Eve will all be on their way soon."

Chelle laughed. "Yeah, that's true. Rissa, you look exhausted."

I shrug. "So do you."

We both looked at each other and laugh.

Ryse passes the baby to Ted. "Here. I'm getting really used to being around newborns."

"Weren't you there for both of Morgan's deliveries?" John asks.

Ryse nods. "I was."

Ted smiles as he passes the baby to me. "She's absolutely beautiful."

I held the baby. "Well, hi. Aren't you just the cutest thing? You're so sweet. You look like your mom."

As I held their baby, many thoughts were going through my mind. Not about their baby or them, but about me and my own marriage.

Wednesday: August 29, 2012 4:25 A.M.

John looked at me as he held the baby as Chelle slept in her hospital bed. "You can go sleep at our house like Ryse and Ted are."

I sigh. "I took a small nap. I'll power through until Randy wants to go get some sleep."

"He's going to lecture you about it." Chelle mutters.

I laugh. "Maybe, but I'll be fine. Glad you got your sleep."

"Me too."

Cody and Eve walk into the room. Seeing Eve made me tense up a bit, but I didn't make a noticeable reaction. Unfortunately for me, Randy didn't seem to be with them.

"Hi." Eve says quietly. "She looks adorable."

Chelle smiles. "Thanks."

"You two can hold her if you want." John says.

Cody takes the baby from John. "Thank you. She's beautiful."

I stood awkwardly, watching this from my chair. "I'm going to head out to get some fresh air. I'll be back in a little bit."

Chelle glanced at me. "Okay."

I grab my sweatshirt and purse before exiting the hospital room. I needed to get myself out of there. I was uncomfortable due to Eve being there and felt a bit out of place. I walked out the front doors and stood by the building a little bit away from the front doors.

I needed to get the thoughts that were in my head out and needed to relax some.

"So what would it take for me to be able to take you home for the night?" Randy asks with a smirk as we spotted each other.

I smile as I look at him. "Sorry, handsome. I'm taken."

Randy pulled me to him. "Well that guy must be the luckiest man alive."

"Or maybe it's me that's lucky."

Randy kissed my forehead. "When was the last time you ate?"

"A little before John told us the baby was born."

"So you haven't eaten for almost twenty hours? I'm getting you food."

"I haven't slept much either."

Randy held me close. "I'll get you food, and as soon as I'm done seeing the baby, I'll take you to get some sleep."

I smile. "Thank you. You can go see the baby first if you want."

Randy nodded. "I know, but I'll let Cody and Eve be with the baby for now."

"Did something happen? You seem irritated."

Randy shrugged. "That's not a conversation for right now. Let's go eat. There's an IHOP open for twenty-four hours that I'd love to go eat at."

I laughed. "Okay."

Randy and I returned to the hospital to see the baby just as Eve and Cody were leaving. Randy and I both waved at Cody and didn't acknowledge Eve.

Randy grabbed my hand as we started to enter the hospital room. "Hey, where's my goddaughter?"

Chelle laughed. "Right here. I assume you want to hold her."

"I would love to hold her."

Chelle smiles and passes the baby to Randy. "Here."

Randy took the baby from Chelle. "She's precious."

I smile as I watch Randy with the baby. "Yeah, she is."

As I watched Randy with the baby, my thoughts from before were coming back. I wanted to have a baby, and I wanted to get to that point of my life soon.
