LuciTheFangirl: Well, Arcann killed Thexan when he was consumed in anger. Thexan Force-pushed Arcann away just when he was about to use a deadly attack on Darth Vader. Arcann, with things happening so fast, cut his brother in half not knowing what he actually had done. Palpatine planned the whole thing to happen. It's in chapter 171.

princesselsaamidala22: Arcann never died. He killed Thexan in a moment of anger when he was aiming for Darth Vader. After that, he was drowned in guilt (or anger) and disappeared without Palpatine bothering to look for him.

Chapter 187

Laetitia panted. She was running out of air to breathe. She didn't know if it was from being choked by that Dark Jedi ... or if it was because Arcann was there. He was there. He was alive, and he ... saved her.

Why did he save her?

Wouldn't he want her dead?

Why was even there?

What was happening?!

Leah slowly stood up. Her eyes were fixed on the Sith Lord. She just glared at him, daring him to move. He was the one who killed Thexan. He tortured her for 3 years. She hated him with every being in her body.

She had imagined this moment for years and months. That bastard needed to pay for what he had done. He took everything away from her. Her courage, her will, her husband ... the father of her child.

She wouldn't let him live. She couldn't.

Leah felt the dark side calling to her. She was out of control of her rage and enormous power. She couldn't get her anger to stop. It was so much that the Force-illusion on her hair and eyes were gone. She had no focus to keep her guard up.

She couldn't see anything else besides Arcann. She ran to him with the strong sense to kill him. She wanted to make him suffer. She didn't care if that made her a bad Gray Jedi or a bad person. She earned the right to use the dark side for this one time.

Arcann just stood right where he was, waiting for Leah to come at him. She sat on his chest, blocking the air. She put her hands around his neck and used the Force to choke him. Arcann didn't even grunt when he was out of air. He just closed his eyes, wanting her to go on.

He ... wanted her to kill him.

Leah used her rage and channeled all her strength to her hands. She wanted him to suffer ... But somewhere along the way ... something was stopping her. When she looked at him, she didn't see a monster who killed her husband ... She saw a person drowning in his own guilt ... looking like her husband.

That was the one time she could see the similarity between the twin brothers.

"I don't need to think about my past because you are my future."

"I don't need to separate my family from yours because you are my family."

"I know, considering who I am, I have no right to say it. And you're afraid to love anyone after everything that's happened with anyone you've known, but … I do love you."

"Love is not my thing, but let's try it together."

"For me, not being with you is scarier."

"You showed me what it is to be truly loved and to feel safe again ... There is no one in this Galaxy that means what you mean to me."

"I love you."

All those memories she had with Thexan were passing through her eyes. She could hear his voice in her eyes so vividly that she could swear he was there. She couldn't stop the tears from coming out.

"I love you."

Thexan's voice echoed in her ears. Leah screamed in a way to beg the voices to stop. She wanted the voices to stop. She wanted everything to stop. She just wanted to kill the bastard who killed her husband, and tortured her for 3 years.

He deserved to die. He, of all people, deserved to die. But ... why couldn't she kill him?

Arcann suddenly took a deep breath when he no longer felt her hands around her neck. He managed to open his eyes despite the breath tightness. If she kept on choking him, he would have died in less than a minute.

When he looked up, he saw Leah ... in tears. She was sobbing from the pain in her heart. She was in so much pain. Arcann would be lying if he said he wasn't feeling bad for her just from the sight. She was a complete wreck.

But he didn't say a word. He just stayed quiet as Leah cried. He had to ... if he wanted her to kill him. That was why he went to Maz in the first place. She was the only known informant for the Rebellion ... The only one Leah was directly in contact with.

Suddenly, Leah stopped crying. She pulled herself together as she glared at Arcann. He didn't move an inch, even though her fiery yellow eyes were piercing his desperate blue eyes. She just punched him so strong in the face. His nose was broken, and he passed out instantly.

Leah heard a growling from behind. She didn't even need to turn around to know it was Chewie. She just coldly stood up with the Force-illusion back on her.

"Get rid of the bodies ... And grab him on board." She ordered as she went to find Maz. She had some ... explaining to do.

Laetitia just ran helplessly in the woods. She needed to get some air ... and have some privacy to cry her eyes out. She wanted to be alone.

A lot happened in the last ... 30 minutes. A Dark Jedi, who survived Order 66, tried to kill her and her baby with the Noghri accompanying him. And they would have ... if Arcann hadn't shown up. He saved her from those two monster ... She almost killed him, but she stopped.

Why? Why was she unable to kill the monster who destroyed her life and her soul? What more could Arcann do in order for her to kill him?

"Laetitia Skywalker!" A voice suddenly shouted from behind.

From being jumped too many times, Leah didn't hesitate to just hold her lightsabers. She activated them immediately, and threw one of them at the person, not wanting to know who it was. The other lightsaber was in her hand, waiting to attack that person.

"Whoa! Easy there, General!" The voice yelped as she came out.

Leah sighed as she stood up normally. She called the lightsaber back, and deactivated both of them. Maz slowly came out of the shadows and showed herself.

"I heard from Chewie. Are you alright?" Maz asked.

"You knew. That's why you contacted me." Leah coldly said as she ignored her.

Maz just took a deep breath as she looked as confident as she would be at any other time. She had a very clear idea what she was talking about. She knew that when she accepted Arcann's demand to be killed by Leah, she would have to explain herself to the woman.

"Yes, I did." She simply said, which caused Leah to lose it.

"Why?! Don't you know what he did? What I wanna do to him?!"

"Oh, I have a few guesses what you want to do." Maz mused quietly.

Leah frowned as she fisted her hand. Was she ... joking at a time like this?

"Thexan was your friend. I am your friend. Why would you bring him straight to me? Not that I don't appreciate having him, but ... why did you do it? Why did you try to push me to my darkest instincts?" Leah asked in hurt and betrayal.

Maz, better than anyone else, knew why Leah was afraid of her own powers. She knew that ... and she basically pushed her in the pool of darkness. How could she risk that?

"I trust you, Laetitia. I knew you would have done the right thing ... I just wanted to show you that you are not the monster you think you are." She softly said.

Leah just scoffed bitterly. How was she not a monster? She made her father turn to the dark side, and did all those horrible things to him. If she wasn't a monster, then what was she?

"I'm not not-a-monster, either. The things I've done ... The things people have done for me ..." She trailed off as a tear fell down from her eyes.

"You want to talk about it?" Maz offered.

"Not necessarily, no." Leah quickly stiffened as she wiped the tears.

"Good. I was only asking out of courtesy." Maz quickly replied back, which caused her to scoff.

"I'm out of here. Thanks for the 'gift'." She tiredly said.

She turned around to go 'home'. She wanted to be with Luke and Ahsoka and Rex and Mina. She wanted to be with ... Han. Her entire trip was a waste of time. She wanted some help to bring Han back, but all she found was more problem.

She was on her way as Maz's voice stopped her.

"Leah!" She called out.

"Why didn't you kill him?" Maz asked in curiosity.

Laetitia looked down as she frowned. She wasn't frowning in alarm or insult. She was ... confused. She, too, was curious to know why she suddenly decided to spare that monster when she was 30 seconds close to killing him.

"I did not need Tahl physically by my side to know what she wanted me to do. I knew that I could still love her by respecting what she would want me to do."

"Thexan will be the one who stops you just as you are killing Arcann."

She sighed as she remembered what her Master, Qui-gon, told her. She didn't want to admit it, but he was right ... Thexan was the reason why she stopped. He was the one who pulled her out.

The one who saved her, even though he wasn't there. So he was still there. He may not be there to hold her hand, but ... he still comforted her and calmed her down. Wasn't that all that really mattered?

"He wanted me to. That's why he came to you. He ... wanted me to kill him. I will be damned before I give him what he wants." Leah finally said, half-lying.

"Is that the only reason?" Maz challenged.

"What other reason could there possibly be, Maz?" She snapped angrily at her.

She didn't even want to think about caring for him. The thought alone was disgusting. After everything that monster did? Torturing her for 3 years, trying to kill her and Luke a couple of times, did kill Thexan?

"I don't know. I've just ... never seen you cry like that." Maz honestly said.

Leah sighed deeply. She was right about that one. Leah was never one to cry in public ... But this time, she was sobbing loudly from the pain in her heart. Even she was surprised.

"He's in pain. He wanted to die by my hand to feel better and end his suffering. I'm not gonna do that for him. I want him to feel the pain he caused me ... caused my daughter ..." Leah trailed off as her voice cracked.

"He doesn't deserve to live ... But he doesn't deserve to die, either. I'm not gonna let him." She coldly promised herself.

Maz didn't say anything and just analyzed her eyes. She didn't seem to be lying ... And that was why it was scary.

"While you two were fighting, my guys grabbed one of Jabba's guards. You can use the uniform to save our fool." Maz said to change the subject.

"I will. thanks, Maz."

After Laetitia got more than what she wanted on Takodana, she and Chewie left immediately for the Rebel Outpost on Primtara. They needed to get away from there as far as possible. She wanted to feel somewhat safe again.

On her way back, she let Ahsoka know of what happened on Takodana. While Ahsoka was happy that her friend was alright after going through a kill attempt by a Dark Jedi, she was having mixed feelings because of Arcann.

How was any of them supposed to feel?

When the ship landed, Rex immediately ran to Chewie to help him take the unconscious Arcann to a hidden cell with the heaviest security. That was the only thing he could focus on. Who knew what that monster would do when he woke up?

Leah struggled to walk outside the ship. The bite from the Noghri was really bad. She wasn't even strong enough to Force-heal it. She felt so powerless and out of it.

When Luke saw his sister, he ran to her immediately. He put his arm under her shoulder to help her walk. She needed help and was in no position to refuse it. She just leaned against her brother.

"Well, I thought you went to get help to save Han. Didn't think you'd bring a valuable prisoner along." Ahsoka said as she walked closer to Leah.

"How much did you have to beat him to get him here?" Luke bitterly asked.

"I didn't. He came on his own." Leah quietly said.

"Is it a trap? Does he want to kill you after he killed Thexan?" He asked in anger. He could never forgive Arcann for what he did to Thexan.

"No."

"Then what?"

"Killing someone you love can either push you over the edge or make you see things clearly. Thexan's death made Arcann the man Thexan wanted him to be." Leah stated quietly in sadness.

"So you're telling me he's changed?" Ahsoka asked in shock and disgust.

"Looks like it."

"You're not gonna kill him. So are you gonna forgive him?" Luke asked to see how Leah would react.

"Hell, no!" She shrieked angrily in disgust.

"Why not? You've forgiven a Palpatine before. And you said it yourself. He's changed."

"So you really think I can forgive him for every terrible thing he's done? He captured me and tortured me for 3 years. He ... He killed Thexan and left me a widow on my wedding day. Because of him, my child will never meet her father." Leah snapped at everyone around her.

Luke nodded in agreement as Ahsoka sighed. She had a point.

"You have a big heart. You can forgive him."

Done :)
