A few days later on Dragonstone, Brian and Daenerys were walking through the dragonglass mine beneath the island. "Look at these cave paintings," said Brian.
The paintings showed the Children of the Forest and the First Men fighting the White Walkers together, with Bill Cipher hovering above them all. "They fought together against their common enemy," Brian said. "We need to do the same if we're going to survive. I need you to stand with me against Bill, or we'll all be doomed!"
"I'll fight for you and the north after you acknowledge me as your queen," said Dany.
"The north won't accept a southern ruler again after everything that's happened to them," Brian tried to tell her.
"They will if their king does," Dany said.
Brian sighed. It seemed they were at an impasse.
They exited the cave together and stepped out onto the beach. Outside, they saw Stewie rolling towards them in his wheelchair. He had an excited look on his face.
"Brian, I've just gotten an idea of how I could unlock McGucket's memories!" he exclaimed.
"That's great!" said Brian. "What is it?"
"Okay, so you know how I access my visions of the past by pressing my hand against a heart tree?"
"Yeah," said Brian.
"Well, what if I warged into McGucket and made him press his hand against a heart tree? Then maybe I'd get to see his memories!"
"That sounds good," said Brian. "Only one problem, though. There's no heart trees on this island."
Stewie nodded. "Shireen told me that her father Stannis burned the godswood after he converted to the religion of the Lord of Light. But maybe I could take McGucket back to Winterfell with me, using the teleporter, and try it on the heart tree there."
"Worth a try," said Brian. "And while you're over there, you can find Davos Seaworth and tell him to bring a ship over here to carry the dragonglass back to Winterfell."
Stewie turned the chair around and sped back to the castle to find McGucket.
"What was that about?" Dany asked. "How could he possibly experience someone else's memories?"
Brian attempted to explain. "Stewie is a skinchanger. He can enter other people's bodies and control their actions."
"That's impossible," said Dany.
"Well, some people might say dragons are impossible," said Brian.

Stewie found McGucket in the library. "I think I've figured out how to help you," he said. "Grab my hand. We're going to take a little trip."
Fiddleford seemed to understand. He reached out his hand and Stewie clutched it. With his free hand, Stewie typed "Winterfell" into the remote. With a zap and a flash, the two of them were transported back to Winterfell.
They landed in the great hall. The only ones there were Sansa and Arya. "We didn't expect you back so quickly," said Sansa. "Where's Brian?"
"He's still negotiating with Daenerys," said Stewie. "Actually, I'm only going to be here for a short while. I just need to take care of something quickly."
"Who's this guy?" Arya asked, looking at McGucket.
"I believe he may be the one man who holds the key to defeating Bill," said Stewie.
Stewie went out to the godswood and McGucket capered along behind him, still singing about how it was always summer under the sea, he knew, he knew, ooh, ooh, ooh.
Once outside, Stewie warged into McGucket and had him press his palm against the face on the heart tree. So far, so good.
Next thing Stewie knew, he was somewhere north of the Wall, and two men who looked like younger versions of McGucket and Ford Pines were standing in front of him.
"Today I saw a disturbing sight," Young McGucket said to Young Ford. "I came upon a group of dead wildlings. Their bodies were horribly mutilated, and the corpses were arranged in the shape of a triangle. Then, they all jumped up and came to life again, and they went after me! Their eyes were so blue. I barely escaped with my life!" He shuddered at the memory. "I believe I have invented a machine that can permanently erase these memories from my mind."
He held up an object that looked like a gun and before Ford could stop him, he fired it! A laser shot out and hit him in the head.
"Fiddleford, are you okay?" Ford asked anxiously.
McGucket blinked. "I feel fine! I can't recall a thing!"
"Maybe you shouldn't use that thing too often," his friend cautioned.
The scene changed. Now the two men were standing by an icy lake. They looked a little older, and McGucket looked a bit more disheveled. "I see something moving in the water!" he exclaimed. "Something big!" He zapped himself with the memory gun again.
The scene changed again. Now Fiddleford looked still more disheveled, and his hair was falling out. He was alone, but he was talking to himself. "I feel terri-bibble! I mean, terrible. I've been forgetting words lately. I wonder if there are any negative side effects. Hey, are my pants on backwards?"
The scene shifted a final time. McGucket was now standing in the throne room at Dragonstone, wearing a jester hat and singing his crazy song.
Then Stewie was jerked back to reality. He was back in the godswood at Winterfell, and Fiddleford McGucket was standing next to him, his eyes clearer than Stewie had ever seen them. When he spoke, his voice was clearer too. "Thank you, my friend! You helped me get my memories back! After all these years, I finally know who I am."
"You're welcome," said Stewie. "I'm sorry your memories were so traumatizing."
"It was worth it," said McGucket. "Now that I've seen what happened, I can begin to put myself back together again."
Stewie said, "Your friend Ford Pines told me you had a secret weapon to stop Bill. Do you remember what it is now?"
"The memory gun is the weapon," said McGucket. "Bill Cipher can enter people's minds, just like you can. You've got to trick him into going inside your mind, and then zap yourself with the memory gun. That will erase HIM! If I remember correctly, I brought the gun to Dragonstone with me. If we go back, I think I can find it…"
