Next day, Daenerys was sitting at the Painted Table with Varys, Tyrion, Martin, Rose, and Boar.
Varys had a grave look on his face. "The Lannister soldiers have sacked Highgarden in a surprise attack. Olenna and Mace are both dead."
"That means all of our major allies are gone now!" exclaimed Dany. "We've lost Dorne, the Iron Islands, and now the Reach! All we have left is this island!"
"Well, you may have lost all your other allies, but you've still got us," said Rose.
"That's right," said Boar. "And we still have enough boats to shuttle ourselves to the mainland. Why don't we follow our original plan of laying siege to King's Landing, but have our own creatures be the ones to carry it out, like I suggested before?"
Tyrion had gotten up from his seat and wandered over to the window. "I think it's too late for that," he said.
"Too late?" Martin questioned. "Why is it too late?"
"Because it looks like we're about to be attacked ourselves!"
Dany jumped up and ran to the window to stand beside Tyrion. Looking out to sea, she saw a gigantic vessel approaching, surrounded by scores of smaller ships. The lead ship had six masts, a massive expanse of deck, and a towering aft castle. Its huge sails billowed out, sending the great frigate speeding towards Dragonstone at an astonishing rate. It was Euron Greyjoy's ship, Silence!
Dany sprang into action. "Martin! Boar! Gather all our soldiers and prepare for battle!"
"Yes, your grace!" said Martin.
"We'll give 'em blood and vinegar!" said Boar.
"No," said Dany. "We'll give them fire and blood."
She ran out into the hall, where she came upon Brian and Meg. (Stewie hadn't come back yet.)
"What's going on?" Brian asked.
"We're under attack!" said Dany. "Joffrey's troops are coming for us! I need to get ready to fight them!"
"We'll help," said Brian instantly. Even though he still hadn't decided to bend the knee to Dany, it only made sense to join forces against their common enemy.
"Yeah, what do you want us to do?" said Meg.
"Thank you," said Dany. "Brian, report to Martin the Warrior, and he'll place you among the foot soldiers. As for you, Meg…" She smiled. "Ever ridden a dragon into battle before?"

"There it is, mates," said Euron. "Dragonstone Island!" He turned to Bane, who was standing next to him. "Listen, I've got a special job for you. You seem like a trustworthy fox. I want you to be the one who blows the dragonhorn." He held the horn out to the fox.
"Wow, that's quite an honor," said Bane, taking it and turning it over in his paws. It was covered with writing in Valyrian, a language Bane couldn't read. If he had been able to read it, he would have figured out that it said, "I am Dragonbinder… No mortal shall sound me and live… Blood for fire, fire for blood."
Euron turned to Jaime, who stood on his other side. "We're about to make a landing. Are your men ready to attack?"
"They are," said Jaime, as inwardly he rankled at taking orders from Euron.
"Good," said Euron.
Just then, the roars of dragons filled the air. Dany came into view, riding Drogon, sword by her side, closely followed by Meg on Rhaegal and a riderless Viserion.
Jaime stared up at the sky in awe. So, here was the famous Daenerys Targaryen at last, the daughter of the king he had slain. And… was that Meg Griffin beside her? What was she doing here?
"Dracarys!" Dany called, and Drogon breathed a blast of fire at one of Euron's ships, setting the sails ablaze.
Following Dany's example, Meg said "Dracarys!" to Rhaegal, and Rhaegal lobbed a fireball at another ship. Meg cheered.
With Dany on his back, Drogon made a beeline for Silence. Dany looked down and saw the face of her father's killer for the first time.
Jaime's expression was stoic, but he was trembling inside. He had never beheld a live dragon before, and Drogon was a terrifying sight. His wings stretched twenty feet from tip to tip, and his eyes were smoldering red pits.
Before Dany could say "Dracarys" again, Bane raised the horn to his lips and blew.
GAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
All three dragons froze, transfixed by the sound. "Dracarys!" Dany shouted to Drogon, but this time he paid it no heed. He just hovered in the air, staring down at Euron Greyjoy. Dany was shocked. None of her children had ever disobeyed an order from her before.
Euron smiled evilly. "Hello, dragons. I am your master now. I command you to turn around and attack that castle back there." He pointed at Dragonstone. "Burn it to the ground, along with anyone inside!"
Dany didn't have a chance to do or say anything. Drogon did a backflip in the air, bucking her off his back. She fell down into the sea. Nearby, Rhaegal did the same to Meg. Then all three dragons turned and sped back toward the castle.
Bane looked at Euron. He tried to speak, but all that came out was a cough. A river of blood came gushing out of his mouth. He had been poisoned by the dragonhorn. He fell dead on the deck before he even had a chance to realize how he had been deceived.
