Chapter 191

.

Note: Celine and Robert are from the movie "A life less ordinary." Warren is a minor villain from "Batman: the animated series" from the 1990s. The others are either historical figures or based on historical figures.

.

Molly and her friends prepared for the upcoming battle. They would try to heal those that they could, save as many as they could. Treating anyone, regardless of whether they fought for Lenin or John Galt. They might be in Hell, but they could try to do better. Amongst Molly's friends were Robert and Galen. Galen was the high priest of Asclepious back in the day, worked on soldiers from both sides during war. But today, he would run into an old enemy. It was the roman general Crassus, along with others from his side. This included Warren, and Celine. Celine was Robert's wife in their world, but all of Crassus' soldiers were heavily armed.

.

Molly: We made an agreement with John Galt. Wounded from both sides are welcome here, weapons are not.

Crassus: There has been a change in plans. You, and your nurses will treat only our soldiers.

Galen: You haven't changed much, have you Crassus?

Warren: You two know each other?

Crassus: During the war, I asked his priests to treat only wounded romans. When they refused, they were neutralized.

Galen: "Neutralized." That's a nice bloodless way of looking at it.

Crassus: We spared those who agreed to this bargain, you have the same offer now.

Galen: I cannot speak for others, but no, I will not turn away those who are sick.

Crassus: For your god Asclepious? He wasn't as powerful as you once thought.

Galen: Perhaps not, but I will still do what I think is right.

Molly: As will I.

Warren: It's that kind of poor decision making that landed you here.

Molly: Way I see it, you'll be here a lot longer than us.

Celine: Probably, so why shouldn't we take what we can and make the best of it? Why should we let these communists take what is rightfully ours?

Robert: Including slaughtering doctors and nurses.

Celine: I don't want to kill you Robert.

Robert: But you will. I won't kill you, or turn away the sick and dying. So if you want to shoot me, go ahead.

.

Celine hesitated for a moment, only a moment. For better or worse she couldn't bring herself to shoot Robert. She quickly joined Robert's side and turned her gun on Crassus and Warren.

.

Celine: Leave now.

Warren: I can't say I'm too suprised by your betrayed Celine. A pity, you were just my type.

Celine: You mean rich, or someone you can manipulate and abuse? I might have been the first one, but not the second.

Warren: True, it's probably good we kept certain things from you.

Celine: What do you mean?

Warren: You'll see.

.

Crassus and Warren did indeed walk out. Crassus then signaled his men to release the nerve gas. The other doctors and nurses were not even given the chance to cooperate. Everyone inside, including the recent defector Celine, were murdered. When it was safe Crassus had his men dispose of the bodies and move his own doctors in. Lenin's wounded forces would come here expecting sanctuary, only to be murdered in cold blood.
