Night of Champions: September 16, 2012

"I've got bad news." Randy says as he enters the locker-room.

"What's that?" I ask as I slip on the top of my gear.

"Our matches are back-to-back tonight, which means you cannot manage me."

"Man, that sucks."

"No kidding. I was hoping that you would take out Vickie, so I wouldn't have to hear her during the whole match."

I shrug. "Sorry, we both know that there's nothing that we can do about it."

"I know, but we'll both still be able to win tonight."

"And then we can enjoy the rest of the night."

"Exactly." Randy responds just before someone knocks on the door.

"I got it." I say before going to open the door.

I open the door to see Booker T, the current general manager of SmackDown, standing in front of me.

"Hey, Marissa." Booker greets me. "There's a bit of a situation that we need to discuss."

I raise an eyebrow. "What kind of situation?"

"Kaitlyn got attacked. Nobody knows who did it."

"Don't look at me. That's not my kind of thing without it being instigated, which Kaitlyn never did."

"I know that. That's not why I'm talking to you. Kaitlyn is not going to be able to be cleared to compete tonight."

"So am I not wrestling tonight? Every championship is supposed to be defended tonight. I'm the Divas Champion."

"Relax, Marissa. I'm just letting you know that there's been a change in opponents. You'll still defend the Divas Championship tonight."

"Who am I defending against tonight?"

"Eve, she beat Kaitlyn recently. It seemed like the logical option. Good luck. I'll see you later." Booker walks away.

I close the door. "She's got some nerve."

"Eve?" Randy asks.

"Yeah, did you hear all that?"

"I did. Do you think Eve attacked Kaitlyn?"

"It makes too much sense. I knew she was up to something, Randy."

"You did. I think you're right, but you need to relax and focus on defending your Divas Championship tonight."

I sigh. "I know."

She looks good to me

She's got everything I want

She's got everything I need…

"The following match is scheduled for one fall and is for the WWE Divas Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Denver, Colorado, Eve Torres!"

I know I want that girl so bad

I lie awake at night

And think of all the things that I would do

With a girl like that…

"And her opponent, from Saint Louis, Missouri, she is the WWE Divas Champion, the Queen of Chaos, Marissa Orton!"

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Eve and I both lock eyes as we both circle around the ring. We lock up, and I get Eve to the ground in a Headlock. She elbows me to escape. I quickly roll Eve into a pin.

1…2…kickout!

Eve and I both stand up and look at each other. We lock up once again, and she gets me to the ground in a Headlock. I elbow Eve in the face, so I can escape. Eve goes to roll me into a pin, but I roll through and kick her in the face. I grab Eve and hit her with a DDT. I pin Eve.

1…2…kickout!

I rebound off the ropes towards Eve, but she catches me with an Arm Drag. Eve then locks me in a Bodyscissors. I hit her hard across the face before dragging myself to the ropes, forcing a rope break.

Eve releases me before kicking me in the face. I fall right into the ropes. Eve grabs me and moves towards the middle of the ring before going for a Suplex, but I counter and hit her with a Suplex. I go to grab Eve, but she shoves me. I fell out of the ring. Eve rolls out of the ring behind me. I stand up, and we get in each other's faces.

"Your Divas Championship is mine now." Eve mutters.

"Not gonna happen. I am not going to let you manipulate your way to the Divas Championship." I reply.

1!

2!

Eve shoves me to the ground. I come back with a hard Right Hand, knocking Eve to the ground.

3!

I pick up Eve and throw her into the ring post.

4!

5!

I grab Eve by her hair and bounce her head on the steel steps. I go hit Eve with a Running Knee, but she moves out of the way, causing me to hit the steel steps.

6!

7!

Eve grabs me and drives me rib first into the apron. She does it a couple more times, and my ribs are in severe pain.

8!

Eve throws me back into the ring before rolling in herself. Eve pins me.

1…2…kickout!

Eve kicks me in the ribs. I wince in pain. She grabs me for a Suplex, but I roll her into a pin.

1…2…kickout!

I catch Eve with a Superkick. She falls to the ground. I pull her to the middle of the ring before locking in an Armbar. Eve struggles to try to get to the ropes. She kicks me in one of my ribs, forcing me to release the submission hold.

I stomp on Eve before going to hit Eve with the Picture Perfect. However, pain shoots into my ribs, and I fall to my knees. Eve gets off of my shoulders before hitting me with a DDT. Eve grabs me and hits a Neckbreaker before pinning me.

1…2…kickout!

Eve goes to kick me, but I grab her leg and throw her onto the ground. She goes to recover in the corner. I go for another Running Knee, but Eve avoids it once again. I hit one of the turnbuckles and slowly got up. Eve rolls me into a pin while holding my tights.

1…2…3!

"Here is your winner and the NEW WWE Divas Champion, Eve Torres!"

The referee handed Eve the Divas Championship and raised her arm in the air. I stood up and watched Eve with a glare as she celebrated with my Divas Championship that she didn't even win clean.

I screwed up and let her beat me. I was not going to let that happen again.

"Hey, are you alright?" Randy whispered as he crawled into bed right next to me.

"I'm not happy. She manipulated this whole situation and got away with it." I replied quietly.

"I know, but I think you'll get her back for it."

"I hope so. Can you pass me my reading glasses?"

Randy passed me my reading glasses. "Are you reading a letter tonight? You're already upset."

I shake my head. "No, I'm reading my contract offer. I need something good right now."

"I won my match."

"That's your good thing, not mine." I put on the reading glasses and started reading my contract offer.

Randy stayed silent, but I can sense him watching as I read through the contract offer. In this contract offer, I was getting offered one and half million dollars yearly to be an on screen personnel, which could technically be a variety of things, like a wrestler, manager, commentator, interviewer, and general manager among other things, for the next five years. There were also mentions of making arrangements for accommodating for situations where I wasn't going to be on TV for an extended period of time for medical or personal reasons. I figure that was because my family was well aware that I intended to have children sooner than later.

I look at Randy. "Remember when I freaked out over getting offered one and a half million dollars over five years?"

Randy nodded. "Yeah, why?"

"I'm getting offered that yearly just to be on TV for the next five years."

"They definitely want you to stick around on TV."

"It also mentions making arrangements for situations where I am off of TV for an extended period of time."

"Yeah, they want you to stick around."

"Do you think we'll have a child in the next five years?"

"Definitely. Maybe even two."

"I'm signing this. They're handing me a lot here. I can't ask for anything better."

"You do that."

I grab my pen and sign the contract.
