"What are the questions?"
He stole another taste, this time behind her ear. "What is this?"
She wasn't sure if he meant her or the wish or what.
"Why you?" he grumbled.
That was easy. "I had the Shikon-no-Tama."
"Will it serve a purpose?" His voice was still rough at the edges. "Can I use it?"
Kagome found his moody stripes useful. Like now. Because periwinkle had become orchid, before veering into deepening lavender. So she knew the mood had shifted before Sesshoumaru posed his next question.
