We're gonna see a nice moment between two family members, because they can't move around, they have some stuff to get off their chest and it involves the incident that happened on the previous chapter, and will show how much the trust has been earned after what happened. Enjoy reading this guys.
Family of Two.
Chapter 214: Lincoln and Delilah.
(Royal Woods Elementary School.)
As the bell rings for first period, we now see Lincoln Loud close his locker and then he sees his friends look to him with concern and also amazement. "Hey guys, we should really focus on our studying today, we have the test tomorrow, remember?"
"We know Linc, it's just that we're worried about the way you are now. It looks like it hurts, like a lot" said Rusty.
"We all know about what you had to fight off, and we're surprised you're doing well after what happened" said Liam.
"Yeah, I mean you guys survived that crash and then went all-out trying to stop that meddling kid with really twisted intentions" said Zach. "And I thought Chandler was delusionally demented, but that kid was way worse, and what was his name again?"
"Jeffrey Collinsworth." They see Jordan arrive carrying her books with her good arm. "And he's not a trouble anymore, not after what happened when Michelle went all-out and literally scared the living crud out of him."
"No kidding" said Jenny. "When word got out about what Michelle did to the kid who, well violated her. It really sparked a lot of determination within the hearts of so many mom's in keeping their kids safe, and also make sure that no one would ever mess with Royal Woods and the good people, ever again."
"Michelle Lewis literally made the toughest mom of the year call sign and chances she might be asked to make an article for the Royal Woods Gazette" said Cristina. She then looks towards Lincoln. "You think she might say yes?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "Not sure, but I think she might either say yes, or go with no. Either way is something that is not to make an easy pick, also she has a job and she wouldn't wanna have to face two stuff since she really cares about Delilah."
"He's not wrong" said Jordan. They all begin to walk down the halls and talk.
"So, this is like the second time you had to use the cool hover chair right?" asked Trent.
"Kinda makes you look like some kind of comic book super hero, like Professor X from the X-Men" said Lance. "Only you have hair and can still walk and you don't have mutant psychic powers and all that."
Lincoln chuckles hearing this. "Thanks for the compliment guys, and don't worry about this. I'm gonna be back on my feet, all patched up and ready when tomorrow morning hits. Gotta love the FutureTech healing casts, they really know how to help patch up the damages fast, well sort of fast."
"That is still so cool" said Hassan. He then asks. "You think they'll let me ride one of those instead of what I'm in now?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "Let me ask my mom and maybe she can hook you up with one, but just a heads up that this thing comes with instructions and would have some time to get used to it."
Hassan smirks. "Are you kidding me Lincoln? I know my tech and I think I can handle the hover chair and it also helps beat stairs."
Lincoln chuckles. "Dang right." He high fives with Hassan and this makes the other chuckle. It's almost like Lincoln and Hassan have become wheelie buddies.
Lincoln then gets a text from his phone and so he checks on it. 'What the? Delilah?' He checks the text message from Delilah.
Delilah: Hey Lincoln, I spoke with Luna and my mom and they said that it was okay for the both of us to go home together, I'll meet you outside of your school when classes are over, and it turns out we don't have a last period today due to our teacher getting the test papers ready for tomorrow.
I have some stuff to talk to you about, so I'll see you after classes Lincoln.
Lincoln is confused by this, but he puts his phone away. 'Well, looks like I got something to do after school and I should tell Jordan about this.' Then Clyde and Stella help carry Lincoln's books. "Guys, I can do it myself. I'm not someone to coddle with."
"Sorry, it's just we don't want these to be dropped by accident and it'll be hard to pick them back up" said Clyde. But then he sees the annoyed look on Lincoln's face.
"Clyde, this chair has mechanical arms to help me get stuff I can't reach." Lincoln pushes the button and two arms take the books from Stella and Clyde.
Hassan whistles. "Dang. Now I have a reason as to why I need one of those, because that is so cool!"
(After School.)
Lincoln makes his way out of the school and then he sees her, the 13-year old preteen waiting underneath the shade of the nearby tree, Delilah Lewis Loud, also known as her cousin… I think.
Lincoln hovers his chair over to her and Delilah sees Lincoln and smiles, so she goes over to him on her hover chair, they're both still down with not walking and such. "So, ready to head on home, Lincoln?"
Lincoln nods. "Yeah, I am." He then looks to his friends and waves to them and he even waves to Lola, Lana, Lucy and Lisa.
The former little loud sisters are happy to see Lincoln doing alright, but they were upset about what had happened when they had to deal with the crash and the attack and the damage both Lincoln and Delilah had to endure too.
They all watch as Lincoln and Delilah over away. Jordan sighs. 'We have been through so many crazy stuff, and most of them nearly gets one of us, or all of us killed or badly hurt. I hope we don't have to face the same turmoil again.'
(With Lincoln and Delilah.)
The duo continue to hover down the street and watch as cars drive by, Lincoln then looks towards Delilah and he can see the upset expression she has. He knows something is up. "Delilah, what the heck…"
"I'm sorry. Lincoln, I wish I did my best and I did take in karate classes back then when I had my family, but I don't know what the heck…."
"Delilah!"
"Huh?" Delilah looks to the snow-haired boy with some tears running down her face. "What?"
"Delilah, don't blame yourself. I could tell the other day that even though you feel calm and chill after what Michelle said, you're still a bit on the edge after what happened the other day and I get it. You're not the only one feeling the same bad stick" said Lincoln.
"I mean, you were the one who had a lot of strength and adrenaline to go into the whole thing and even when badly injured, you had the will to keep on fighting and put the enemy down for the count, I tried and it didn't go so well and I got badly hurt after the whole ordeal."
"I wish I was as skilled in fighting as you, and maybe then I can be able to face off any odds that would try to harm the family. I really didn't like how it all went bad real fast." Lincoln looks down in sadness and this makes Delilah feel bad for him.
"Lincoln, I know I did fight back and I did the best I could, and literally didn't seem to mind what pain I was in… But, I felt kinda like garbage, I mean I let the anger get the best of me again. Just like when I got angry at the memory of Leslie and…. Well, that's something we don't wanna recall."
Lincoln knows what she means, the day Delilah was with Sasha and helping attack Lincoln, Luna and Lori. That was Delilah sure, but it was her getting super angry and recalling the reason why she was in juvie, she wasn't herself and she let her anger, hatred and revenge get the best of her and be like Sasha and the others.
"I should've thought it through and recalled my training long ago at karate class, but instead I let my anger get the best of me and this 12-year old heathen who messed with my mom managed to overpower me and hurt me, really badly."
Lincoln looks towards Delilah. "Well, I guess we're both on the same boat, we both feel as if we should've done better and perhaps maybe we would be in a different outcome and not in the one we're in right now."
"Yeah, but unlike you, I have to earn the trust from folks after the bad things I did long ago, and last year" said Delilah. "I can see that my mom trusts me sure, but I don't know about the…"
"I trust you." Delilah is surprised by this and looks to the snow-haired child. "I trust you Delilah, you proved to be someone who can be trusted again because you had the guts and the courage to do something truly worth forgiving, you fought to save the family and I trust you and I know that deep down, so does my mom."
Delilah stops her hover chair from moving and she has tears, Lincoln knows where this is going and he moves closer and the two louds embrace each other.
Delilah sheds some tears at this moment with her cousin, or nephew whatever. "Thank you… Thank you Lincoln."
Lincoln smiles and rubs her back. "You're welcome Delilah, we're family and we're there for each other. I love you Delilah, as family and that's all that matters between us, always."
"Thanks, I love you too, Linc." The duo stay in this embrace for a few short minutes and then they continue on their journey to the Loud House.
(The Loud House.)
Luna's car arrives and so does Michelle's and the two mom's come out and look to each other and then to the house, they both have one thing on their mind. 'Please be inside.'
Luna and Michelle open the door and to their relief, Lincoln and Delilah are home and both on the couch asleep and leaning onto each other, while the TV is on a documentary about Coconut crabs.
Luna and Michelle go over and they sit on either side of the duo, Michelle turns off the TV and the two mom's close their eyes and pull their kids close and they too nap with them.
Harriet sees this and she smiles at the sight, she then uses her phone to take a picture of this. 'There, something for the album and for me to keep and make as my wallpaper.'
She then stops and feels something in the air, like a shift of change. 'Hmm, something is coming to our town soon, possibly in the summer, but what?'
She has no idea what's coming and it's gonna be one rich, familiar and friendly force. But something else is in the air, a troubling kind of change and it seems to be very bad too.
(Traverse City Juvenile Detention Center.)
Something is terribly wrong, Lynn and Annabelle go and see that there is a fight going on, the duo go in as well as the guards and they try to break up the fight.
Lynn and Annabelle manage to calm down the two arguing parties, in which turns into some yelling, and to Lynn, this looks familiar. 'Jeez. These girls sure can yell, reminds me of Lola and Lana.'
But none of them know that there is a hole behind a poster at one of the empty rooms and that is the room of inmate Leslie Silver, and she's not there anymore and neither are her friends: Karen Houseman, Regina Westwind and Chastity Higgins.
(Outside.)
The four girls have already covered enough ground to get away from the juvenile detention center. The four girls then stand by the edge of the old refinery not too far and look to the place where they were held and Leslie smirks.
"Alright girls, we're free and now we can initiate my plan." Leslie looks to her posse. "You all remember what it is, right?"
They all nod. "We go to Royal Woods and we find Lincoln Loud" said Karen.
"We make sure he becomes your boyfriend and we make sure no one else stops us" said Regina.
"Then we come up with the new plan in making Royal Woods ours!" said Chastity.
Leslie smiles. "Good, now we have that cleared. Let's go and see what we can take and make ourselves ready for the big arrival. We got a long way to Saginaw, where Royal Woods is, so we need to be ready and get what we need in case something happens."
The four girls then walk away from the refinery and they spot a town and a mall, this makes them grin and they go over, and wait for nightfall, then they'll make one heck of a steal.
A/N: Just a nice and touching time between to relatives on hover chairs, to share what they have in their minds and to earn the trust of the whole loud family, and we all know what's coming this summer, it was from the end of the previous chapter after all.
