"What are you thinking?" Liz's slightly puzzled voice awakens Lin Ye from his thoughts,
"Your soup is getting cold."
Lin Ye came back to his senses. He had originally wanted to eat soup.
But when the soup was served, he remembered about the little guy Sussuro and forgot to drink it. Leaving the soup untouched until it became cold.
Lin Ye was left speechless. Shining and Nightingale only looked curiously at him.
He decided to tell them what happened.
"Do you know about this member from the medical department's pharmaceutical team? The little guy named Sussurro?"
"Sussurro? Yes, I do know her." Shining nods.
Lin Ye also nodded but felt like something was off as if someone was glaring at him from the side, which was Liz. Wait, why is she glaring at him anyway?
"I thought she was a boy." Lin Ye said.
"So, you wanted her to be a boy then? " Liz said.
Lin Ye couldn't help but look at her with a surprised expression. Liz innocently stared at him as if she didn't just say something weird...
"Please don't say anything that could make me sound weird."
Lin Ye begs,
"I just thought that Sussuro looked like a cute little boy, like Ansel."
"I understand" Shining nods "So you think Ansel is a cute little boy."
Lin Ye felt a headache rise up by simply talking with both of the healers.
"You two! Ah! You're both just straight up devils!!"
Shining blinked. "But we are."
"Ugh." Lin Ye clutched his head in exasperation.
He nearly forgot, both of them were actual demons.
He regretted it a little, why did both of them have to gang up on him at the same time. He could barely defend himself.
Especially Liz.
After she made a complete recovery, she became a silly and sweet little girl. But now she's slowly turning back to the little devil she used to be. Lin Ye didn't know whether or not it was a good thing or a bad thing.
"I heard that you both were transferred to the R team?" Lin Ye looked at Liz.
"Yeah." Liz nods and then says, "There are no cute little boys there though."
Shining smiled "But there are many beautiful little girls. So ..."
Lin Ye quickly drank the bowl of soup in front of him then stood up.
"Right, I'm full now. Adios people."
Talking with both of the devils requires a lot of willpower, which he has none of right now.
Shining looked at Lin Ye with a smile, but Liz just made an oh-sound and didn't move.
Lin Ye stood for three seconds and didn't move an inch. He did have the urge to leave. But since he had to leave for Kjerag tomorrow and didn't know when he could talk with Shining and Nightingale again. He really felt unwilling to leave. He coughed twice into his fist to alleviate the awkward atmosphere first.
"Forget it, let me talk more."
Liz pointed behind him.
"Look, a cute little boy."
Lin Ye thought that she was making fun of him.
"You're so troublesome..."
Lin Ye turned around and found that the little girl named Sussurro he saw in the pharmaceutical team before was indeed behind him, tip-toeing in front of the canteen's counter and pointing towards the menu. Unfortunately, even on her tip-toes, she couldn't reach the menu because it was taller than her.
"Liz, do you remember everyone now?" Shining asked Liz.
Lin Ye turned his head back and looked at Liz.
"As long as I have made contact with them, I won't forget that person." She said.
"Is that so?" Shining nods, and then looks at Lin Ye, "Lin Ye, I heard that you are going to Kjerag?"
"Yeah."
Finally, the topic turned into the one he desired.
Lin Ye prayers in his heart. Please no more talking about little girls or little boys. I'm not a lolicon!
"Kjerag seems nice." Shining says softly, "I heard about that place long ago before I joined Rhodes Island."
"You know about that place?" Lin Ye says, "I only know that it's a small country."
"Indeed, but compared to Kjerag itself, we Sarkaz are more interested in something else more special about Kjerag."
"Something special?" Lin Ye became a little curious.
"Yes." Shining nods, and says seriously, "The God of Kjerag."
"Does Kjerag really have a god?" Liz is also curious.
Shining nods slightly: "I heard that there are real gods and not some fictitious figure."
"What do they look like?"
"The Kjerag people won't let us Sarkaz enter their country in the first place so how would I know?"
Shining smiled slightly, "I'm jealous of you, Dr. Lin Ye. You get to see a god for yourself."
"True..." Liz nodded and said seriously, "If you can, please take a picture of them. I also want to see God."
Lin Ye deadpanned.
"Take a picture? Do you guys want me to get clobbered to death by the Kjerag people?" Lin Ye sighed.
"If it's you. I think they'll allow it." Both of them giggled at him.
Lin Ye could only helplessly let out his own chuckles.
"Oh, and don't think that I will teach you my swordsmanship. If you don't want to become more terrifying than any devil out there, then please never consider learning it." Shining said seriously.
I think that will instead help me survive more...Lin Ye thought, but he still respected Shining's decision nonetheless.

After chatting a little longer, they left the canteen.
As they were about to round a corner, Liz stopped him.
"What's the matter, Liz?" Lin Ye asked. Shining stopped behind them.
"Amulets?"
Lin Ye takes both the black and white amulets out from his pocket,
"I never leave without them."
He smiled.
"Really?" Liz's mouth lifted up slightly, "Then I wish you the best of luck on your trip."
