Namasao's True Colors

Melemele Island: Ten Carat Hill

The kids stood their ground as they faced Namasao.

"'Prepare this world,' what do you mean by that?" Kiawe asked.

"To have the beings of this world submit to Lord Malummox, our great ruler." Namasao replied.

"You think we'll let that happen?!" Ash said.

"You should not resist, I'm using peaceful means to accomplish my goals." Namasao said.

"What do you mean by that?" Lana said.

"By draining the energy from the beings of this world, they'll be less inclined to fight back and willing to submit to Lord Malummox. No fighting will have to occur, and there will be no suffering." Namashao said. "However, my reach is limited to Alola at this moment, and I can see not all of you beings of Alola were affected, the Pokémon and all the small humans are still full of vitality."

"Yeah, and because of that, we're gonna put an end to your plans!" Mallow said.

"I dislike pointless fighting and needless suffering. But I am still obligated to carry out my mission." Namashao said.

"Let's go!" Gladion said, getting his Burst Heart ready.

"Burst!" The kids used Burst to combine with Pikachu, Marowak, Primarina, Togedemaru, Tsareena, Snowy, and Silvally.

"Electroweb!" Ash launched a net of electricity at Namasao to snare him.

"Bonemerang!" Kiawe threw his bone at Namasao.

"Pin Missile!" Sophocles shot needles from his spikes at Namasao.

"Sparkling Aria!" Lana sang to form a ball of water and made it burst, shooting out multiple bubbles at Namasao.

"Leaf Storm!" Mallow sent a massive storm of leaves at Namasao.

"Air Slash!" Gladion shot out air blades at Namasao.

"Blizzard!" Lillie blew out a blizzard at Namasao, freezing him.

However, Namasao quickly broke free from the ice.

"Whoa, he broke free so quickly!" Sophocles said.

Then, Namasao charged up an orange energy ball and unleashed a shockwave that knocked the kids off their feet.

"This battle is pointless," Namasao said before he flew off.

"He got away!" Kiawe said,

"Not yet. Everyone split up and find him!" Gladion said

Gladion defused from Silvally, sent out his Ride Noivern, and flew off.

The others did the same and mounted their Ride Pokémon as well to search for Namasao.

Melemele Island: Route 2

Namasao stood beneath a tree gazing into the distance.

Then, he noticed a girl playing with a ball, not far from him.

The girl ran fast, but then tripped, prompting an alarmed Namasao to help her get up.

Meanwhile, in the sky, Lillie spotted Namasao and tried to call her friends on her Creature Pod, but decided not to after seeing Namasao help the young girl up.

"You should be careful, small one." Namasao said.

"Thank you, mister." The girl left her ball with Namasao and went on her way.

"Why did she give me this thing?" Namasao said as he eyed the ball with curiosity.

Then, Lillie walked up to him.

"It's a ball. It's for playing." Lillie explained. "It's okay. I'm not here to fight."

"You… did not come to fight me?" Namasao said, remembering their earlier encounter.

"No, you don't want to fight, so I won't either." Lillie said. "Why don't you try playing with the ball?"

"Playing?" Namasao asked.

"Well… here, try passing it to me," Lillie said as she held out her arms.

Namasao passed the ball to Lillie who then passed it back to Namasao.

The two repeated it a few times and soon, Lillie stopped.

"There's more than one way to have fun with a ball… like kicking, though normally, I'm not very good at it." Lillie said, and she kicked the ball, but mistakenly towards Namasao's face. "Oh no! I'm sorry!"

However, rather than getting angry, Namasao instead laughed in enjoyment.

"I'm Lillie. And your name's Namasao, right?" Lillie asked.

"Yes. But tell me, why are you treating me differently?" Namasao asked.

"Because I can see that you're actually a nice person," Lillie replied. "You're not like the others. You're different."

Then, Lillie's friends all showed up and took a stand against Namasao, much to both Lillie and Namasao's surprise.

"Lillie, are you okay?" Mallow asked.

"Yes, but…" Lillie said.

"We've got him now!" Gladion said.

Namasao then regained composure and prepared to fight, and seeing this, Lillie decided to intervene.

"STOP IT!" Lillie shouted, getting her friends to stop and listen. "That's not necessary. Let me talk to him."

"What are you saying?" Kiawe asked.

"Wait, let's let Lillie handle this." Ash said.

"Namasao, please, stop draining energy from the adults." Lillie pleaded.

"I cannot. I must fulfill my mission for Lord Malummox!" Namasao said. "I am making it so that the people will give into him without resistance, a peaceful way that will prevent hardships."

"Maybe no one will suffer when we are conquered," Lillie said. "But what about later? The way I've seen previous attacks on Alola, there will eventually be hardships and suffering later on. If you truly don't want anyone to suffer, then please… stop your mission."

"I… but I must obey…" Namasao said, confused about what to do.

"Even if he is your master, what does your heart tell you?" Lillie asked. "You should be able to tell between right or wrong. Don't let your orders make the decision for you. Choose the right choice."

As Lillie and her friends all waited in anticipation, Namasao finally built up his resolve and fired an energy beam towards his Ultra Wormhole, closing it.

Meanwhile, back at the Pokémon School, Professor Kukui and Samson Oak were still resting when they suddenly became active again.

"It's time for a Bulk Up after a long Rest!" Professor Kukui said.

"I feel like a brand-new Bellsprout!" Samson Oak said.

At the Tortuga, all the Wild Kratts suddenly became energized as well, except for Jimmy, who was still napping, as he was lazy to begin with.

Soon, all the adults in Alola were in high spirits again.

"Did he…." Lana asked.

"I think he did," Sophocles said.

"He canceled out his own plan," Gladion said.

"I can't believe Lillie actually talked him into it," Sophocles said.

Then, the kids got a call from the Wild Kratts.

"Hey, guys, what's going on?" Chris asked.

"Long story short, there's a bad guy here, but Lillie talked him out of carrying his plans," Mallow replied. "Why don't you come over and see."

"Okay, then… We'll be right over." Martin said.

"Thank you, Namasao, for making the right choice." Lillie said.

But then, Namasao was attacked from the side by flaming feather darts.

"Namasao!" Lillie said in worry.

The kids turned to see Scorchingale and Floraltox.

"So Namasao, you wimped out on your mission!" Scorchingale said.

"You are truly pathetic, to think you're one of Lord Malummox's nine elite soldiers." Floraltox said.

"I think I'll save Drakkor Ferros the trouble and take you out myself!" Scorchingale said.
